Radio Scotland at 7 minutes past 5 and as you heard in the Bulletin a 10 month old baby has died after choking on food or nursery in Edinburgh the incident happened at the Bright Horizons nursery in the car store for an India or automatics Will knows more and joins me now Laura what do we know about what happened well to be honest Bill not that much police have told us that they were contacted by staff at the Bright Horizons nursery on Tuesday after the child as they put it. Became on well we know now that the baby choked on a piece of food and according to the police the 10 month old was then taken to the Sick Children's Hospital here in Edinburgh where he died the following day that was yesterday and you spent some of today at the nursery what's been happening there yes the nursery was actually open the small learning but it then closed after the news of the baby boy's death it's a very busy place it's owned and run by Bright Horizons which describes itself as one of the U.K.'s leading childcare providers it owns more than $300.00 nurseries right across the U.K. This particular nursery operates from a space inside a private health club and looks after children aged from around 3 months to street to right the way through to about 5 years old staff and parents at the nursery were told of the baby's death this morning and as you can imagine no one really wanted to speak to us on tape one mum however told me that she was shocked and very sad for the nursery which she described as excellent in a statesman statement a spokesman for the nursery said that they were devastated by the news the statement went on our thoughts are with the family at this time we are cooperating fully with the authorities the safety and wellbeing of children in our care is our absolute priority now we know that the nursery will remain closed while investigations into what happened continue the nursery says it will support both staff and families and in the meantime that they have a range for families to be offered alternative care at neighboring nurseries Police say the death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious and a report will be some submitted to the procurator fiscal autumn axel in Edinburgh Thanks. We're all navy frigate has intercepted 3 year reign in boats that were harassing a British oil tanker in the Gulf Ministry of Defense says it's a mess Montrose move between the tanker and the opinion vessels assuming a number of warnings over it will be for the moved off Iran has threatened to television for the seizure last week of a tanker carrying Iranian oil British ships have been told to take extra precautions while sealing through the Strait of Hormuz so Richard Dalton is a former British ambassador to Iran and says he's concerned about the increasing tension in the region Iranians must realize that further escalation in the Persian Gulf waters highly risky tensions are high and could leave it for long to loss of life and then to an uncontrolled escalation and that must not be allowed to happen we're joined by a defense expert Professor Grove a professor Grove What do you think is happening there when I think the Iranians are sort of feeling for what they what they can do perhaps without getting too much in the sense in the way of retaliation I suspect there was a certain amount of clause a golden or implausible deniability in this that that that they used the Revolutionary Guards to see if they could divert the tanker once the tanker come into Iranian waters that they might have boarded it and arrested it but happily there was a Royal Navy frigate in the vicinity was able to interpose itself apparently point it's quite at least some of its guns that the Iranians fly a helicopter around and get them to a to go hope so in fact it was a good example of the Royal Navy doing its very it's very it's very traditional job of defending Red Ensign ships you know and just there's a sort of mismatch here in terms of the fire oppose it because they don't in guard for all the quote feared don't have a lot of equipment Well they have they have missile firing boats that could be a nuisance if they actually wanted to escalate to that level these seem to have been small about. Just armed with heavy machine guns and and clearly you know cricket is quite well and it's got a 4.5 it's got its guts of like a machine guns and lighter and lighter quick fires so in fact it does have the advantage and it shows that in these sort of occasions of gunboat diplomacy having a good having a greater amount of firepower helps and the and the and the British came off best in this apparently a tanker had been escorted all down rather other officially but the tanker had been escorted earlier probably another I have a man flag tanker and so clearly our frigate that we keep in the Gulf just for these circumstances based grain is in fact patrolling around a scorching British flagship which we have every right to to protect at least in international waters and in a trance it straight and. And they seem to be being you know very successful and I suspect the Iranians have been warned off I don't think despite a lot of aggressive rhetoric the Iranians actually walked a full scale confrontation but as the ambassador just pointed out that in these circumstances somebody Crigger happy on the Iranian side I doubt if they'd be they'd be trigger happy on the British side but it could lead to sort of some kind of retaliation the last thing you want to the shootout between Iranian boats and the British for it and the Gulf itself is a pretty crowded area the Straits of Hormuz even more so. We've got not only British warships there but Americans is there a chance that they'll almost literally run into each other well there are a lot of ships or even if you go on the Internet a look at the number of ships you know it's surprising somebody sort of somebody compared it today to the M 25 with a whole load of bureaus coming in on each side and yes there are other ships in the area the Americans would like to set up some kind of international force to which our frigate would be a contributor with American ships perhaps they might be some agreement as to which ships could be protected by the you are limited to some extent of the ships you can protect the simple case in this case the other man is part of the Red Ensign for the family of fleets and we have every right in the world to protect it at least in international waters. But yes there is some talk of an of an international force but of course this you know there's a there are 2 sides to this this raises again the prospect of escalation especially between the Americans and the and the Iranians on the other hand hopefully of the Iranians will show the restraint they have done so far but anything can go wrong and it will it means as a hothead commander or a hothead person in a boat and things. Could go very seriously passionate indeed you know there was an incident 10 years ago or so with it to most coral there are a careful of Marines and Royal Navy personnel wars captured by that in Revelation and I just wonder if they think for some reason that they're all it is a bit of a pushover well rather embarrassing but we have learned a lot of lessons from that that will never happen again of the Iranian should know if anyone's anyone's listening that training has taken place and that sort of coup cannot happen again will not and the and the and the Royal Navy is now very very practiced in this kind of in this kind of operation but I think it was important in these circumstances that you rightly mention this that the sort of background that in fact H.M.S. Montrose reacted very robustly it was clear from the way they deployed the weapons and deployed the helicopter that if the Iranians did something stupid then there might well be some kind of shootout the frigate was quite heavily armed and it wouldn't have done the. Other small motorboats any good at all no indeed where does international law stand in all of this someone who who adjudicates us to whose you know breached international bone disease or who's in whose waters Well according to the law of the sea I may have me I mean there are. There are territorial waters with median lines where where claims conflict there is also the question of transit passage ships have rights to. Ships of all kinds have rights to go through certain international straits like the Strait of Hormuz as far as protecting another ship is concerned the clearest situation is as I've said already that all that white tents and ship has the duty in fact not just the right to protect any British any British registered vessel and that includes the Isle of Man It includes It includes British dependent territories other ones so that is very clear and if there is a British warship in the vicinity to try and attack a British Radatz ship you do that very much at your peril professor and it drove thanks very much. Please drive on B.B.C. Radio Scotland the French Senate has approved a new tax on the world's biggest Internet and technology firms like Google and Facebook the measure which will initially raise our own $360000000.00 pounds a year sets a precedent that's being closely watched by governments around the world President tramples already ordered an investigation into the French plans which could lead to to tell you to the tariffs on French imports to the U.S. Correspond in part as you school field so as you know so you France wants the tech giants to pay tax Yeah and it feels that it's very much. In kilter with how the world is changing allow the world more and more of the world feels let us you know before we get into all of this from reminders of the Britain the U.K. As well has promised to introduce a digital services tax it was in last year's budget and should come into effect next year so France is not alone in feeling this way it is at low and then having so far and having implemented this law is a unilateral measure everyone agrees that measures like this are only to be effective if they're introduced multilaterally France failed but it tried that route at the European level last year they couldn't get you know in between Brussels and though there are talks ongoing at the G 7 and at the O.E.C.D. About making a new multinational multilateral regime to govern the so-called gaffers Google's arms and so on that hasn't come to fruition yet either so France wants to sort of accelerate the process and has done so by you know lat tree bringing in this tanks and who's behind it is it President micro or does the other politicians. Well it's a good question I mean in France Micron obviously has a reputation of being something of a kind of techie a new economy with himself and I think he thought that as being something of a weakness certainly in the big June the yellow vest movement of the end of last year earlier this year you know one of their running drives was fair taxation and I think he is very mindful of the need to to to to to get changes in world taxation passed otherwise you know it is kind of red meat for the populist and he in his view the fact that you know that the Amazons and Googles are seen as not paying enough tax so he you know he has put his political weight behind it but I think he's also thought this through and I think is he's not alone in fact he's probably one of the every governor in the world in saying that does have to be some rebalancing of taxation in the world to reflect the new ways in which money is made the big new way in which is made of course by selling data which is completely sort of zone listen borderless Yeah but of course all those although those are seen as multinational international firms they have a big U.S. Content and often been founded in the U.S. In America you know we'll look askance at this what about the prospects of some sort of cheated war between France and the U.S. Well I mean are there quite real obviously given you know would that we know that Trump can be perfectly serious about these things and what they've done is started proceeding called the Section 3 wonders what they did at the start of the whole China trade dispute where where the government gives itself a year to look at the measure in this case the French law and decide whether it's discriminatory and if it is then to slap countermeasures down against in this case French products of what might be wind or it could be maybe punitive taxation on French citizens working in. Once and that the hope is of course that it won't that won't happen because as I said before when there are ongoing talks which include the United States and include indeed the plays in all of this the the gaffer's the Googles and so on. About putting in place new arrangements which do reflect the change economy huge school field in Paris complete with French side in there thank you very much. Now a campaign is being mounted against plans for a spaceport in North us to the island's no local authority wants to see the facility Skopec but a local conservation group claims it will turn a pristine piece of Atlanta course line into concrete or Jack you're Brian has the latest on this and Jackie tell us then about this particular spaceport idea well spaceports press a seem to be a bit of a thing at the moment as you know Bill but this project is separate from the one being your mark for Sutherland now calling on Ellen shear Western Isles Council is investing 1000000 pounds to purchase a site to develop a facility in skull pig skull pig farm in the northwest corner of the island as you say and that would be for a vertical launches of small satellites now the authority claims that 20 operational the facility will create up to 70 jobs on top of a range of wider and longer term economic benefits for the area the consortium behind the spaceport project is believed to include major players in the U.K. And the international space sector and the authority is forging a unique partnership with kinetic which already operates the nearby M.L.G. Hebrides range so the project could also benefit from its expertise it has a proven record in launch vehicle technology and access they say to the largest area of segregated airspace in Europe well who's objecting then and why well the North Uist conservation group is a relatively new organization that's been set up to oppose the project it's urging Islanders to object in writing to the council firstly and wants it to withdraw what in effect is really its own planning application for the development which this group points out would be situated extremely closely to the nearest land point across the water to the famous island of St Kilda they claim as you say the. A pristine well loved section of wild Atlantic coastline would be lost to concrete forever if this project isn't halted their spokesman is Angus McNabb Those been like of any meaningful level of details to the community about. The nature of the development of self that scale or operates what the operating restrictions would be posting talk of things like road closures on some restriction to fishing boats in the area for example. There's been a little absence in fact to date of the environmental impact the 1st of the port which is a critical piece of information to provide is only design planning process was that a lot of suppose that sorts of figures being done to that island is almost up but I guess the style approach being taken also signals to the killer certain the last 3 or they may call that it's not acceptable and Jackie was the consul saying well the Council says it is aware of some concerns regarding the proposed project but it points out that it's also very much aware of a lot of support in the community the local authority says it's committed to public information meetings which should start by the middle of next month the planning application says has been lodged and will be determined in the usual public way with the opportunity being given for all interested groups for or against to make representation so no doubt that the authority is extremely keen to enter this very exciting space race taking place in the north of Scotland and it is obviously well placed to do so but takeoff of course isn't certain yet Jackie O. Bill Scotland this is news Dr I'm Bill White for anonymous witnesses told the blood inquiry he believes his identical twins were treated as lab rats of to being infected by HIV through contaminated blood products at Yorkhill Children's Hospital the man known only as Mr B. Said his children were given different treatments for consultation one of his sons developed the son died at the age of 17 The man was giving evidence on the last day of hearings in Scotland a health correspondent Lisa some resources know from a. Story this would be here it is I'm in billets and tense a distressing story from a man that the inquiry referred to only as Mr Aby and he said that his twin boys were born in 1975 and they were diagnosed with severe hemophiliac the age of 11 months so they were used to quite regularly being in the hospital and also treating their children at home with a product that helped clotting called factory and they over the years got to know that some of the time. The product that they were using because there was not enough Scottish blood had been imported from America but he said at no point was any discussion with medicals was there and its customer the medical staff or by the potential risks of this now both of his children contract HIV and when he was describing his children he said that they were mischievous that they loved football they love to play pranks and but they become infected with an adult disease a disease that was all over the news back then it was a dreadful illness he said he said that Sam that his family just got on with things that I'm at because there was nothing else they could do but Sam Alito he learned that with of his sons had been given different medications as treatment one was given a Z.T. Which was a trial drug at the time the other given a different medication he said he was never consulted he was never asked about whether he wanted that to happen for his sons if that is children were treated as lab rats and then what happened he told the inquiry was the decision that was given easy T. Became very ill and eventually he went on to develop AIDS his son died at the age of 17 he said that he remembered a conversation with doctors when his son was dying and he said The doctors wanted to carry it tests during a pause mortem but the father said he didn't want this that the doctors are postmarked and he refused them permission and later he discovered to his absolute horror that his son's brain had been removed without his permission and then the post-mortem records had been destroyed so as you can imagine it was a very very harrowing account much of it had been quite difficult to listen to particularly because the recent many other supporters families of victims there who find it very very very devastating was complete silence in the room as he told the story and this brings to an end the series of public hearings in Scotland what happens now with this was the 1st phase of this inquiry which actually was announced 2 years ago today it was but this time last year that it was launched So the 1st phase has been to go right around the. She hearing from victims and families getting their account inquired she will go to Cardiff next to do the same thing after that the next phase will be launched whereby they will hear from medical experts about the kind of history in the evolution of the risks of things like hepatitis C. Or each HIV and after that doctors and officials and politicians will be told to give their a kind of what's happened certainly the can a key themes that have come out of this 2 weeks here in Scotland are about things like When did the medical profession become aware of the risks and when did that kind of tipping point come between the benefits and the risks why was there a delay in telling patients and why were they being tested without their consent and there is optimism as we come to the end of these hearings that this inquiry this UKI white inquiry will have the powers to find out some of the answers to those questions Lisa summers in a funk you. There's plenty more drilling to be done in the sea according to the oil and gas authority that regulator has today invited applications for a new round of exploration licenses in the North Sea and west of Shetland but at the same time both Scottish and Yuki governments want to get claimant changing emissions down to net 0 within 30 years so how do these policies fit together a business an economy headed to Douglas freezer so as we know Douglas What's the proposal that we've got today from there on gas authority Well this is a licensing round from the oil and gas authority or G.E. These used to be issued by the Department of Energy and wait all this is the 32nd such round in more than 50 years of exploring for oil and gas in U.K. Waters there are gas authorities a newcomer based in Aberdeen it's got the specific task of maximizing economic recovery from U.K. Waters as fields get older as the front moves west of Shetland So today it's issued this invitation to exploration companies to bid for licenses to drill in 768 blocks of the sea you know these are different sizes they've got different characters sticks somewhere there's already production going on somewhere nothing has yet been found if you want to drill you'll need to fit the bill in terms of experience a bit of working capital behind you you should get your bid in by November and they'll get back to you in the 2nd quarter of next year and there's a lot of data being offered as part of the incentive to drill you know this is one of the aspects of this process that is new to the government's put some money into paying for seismic surveying firms to survey the seabed in selected areas of the of the South Central North Sea and off Shetland areas which look promising that data is being made available as an incentive to bring companies in the reduced risk of the you know roughly what they're looking at probably of greater significance the old year as a parrot to get oil companies and they've by convention been very reluctant to give up their secrets but the O.G.A. Can get them to hand over data. But the wells that they've already got that they've been drilling 11 companies of corporate head with that and so there's data on more than 2700 wells covered by this 90000 samples is a lot of data there the other novel bit of this is that the far northwest of U.K. Waters off Shetland where the sea bone to meet that of the Pharaohs the fate of these government is into its 5th round of licensing companies to drill and it's coordinating with the U.K. Government at least on the timing of these applications so that companies can plan and drilling for prospects that might cross that boundary and remember that side track drilling allows firms to access reservoirs of oil and gas that can be a long way horizontally from that platform so that for instance a plan no being put in place for a Norwegian platform to access U.K. Reserves Well what about this whole question of a claim it changes at this claim emergency declared is all of that putting the brakes on further drilling Well this is the 1st time that these licenses have been put out there since the prime minister set a net 0 target for climate changing emissions and the Scottish and U.K. Parliaments have declared there's a climate emergency that the public mood seems to be shifting somewhat though the public can be fickle on this but the oil drillers are coming under growing pressure from those who think the stuff should be left in the ground and under the seabed. Is going with the most recent instructions that it's got from white all it's a government agency it's saying that government forecasts shore oil and gas will remain an important part of our energy mix for the foreseeable future and therefore maximizing economic recovery from U.K. Waters is vital to meet our energy demands and this is an important bit to reduce reliance on imports and surprisingly green campaigners are not impressed by that argument Lang banks at W W F Scotland is saying this is totally irresponsible opening up more of the North Sea West of Shetland undermines other efforts to tackle this climate emergency he wants to see engineer. Skills put to use on cleaner energy sources and says that the vast majority of known fossil fuel reserves need to be left in the ground and burned and the other end of this process while away from explanation is the idea of decommissioning all the equipment that's been in use for a long time and that looks like it's getting a bit cheaper than we thought yeah either affirming I think to the latest estimate of what it's going to cost to decommission all the equipment that's been put out there in the sea when the last time that they looked at this in the industry right across the industry 2017 they did a calculation as to what it is going to cost very very expensive for the industry it's good news if you are wanting to get into the business they were looking at $60000000000.00 pounds of cost in 2017 it recalculated on the basis that the industry is getting a lot smarter more efficient about how it does this reduce that from 60 to 49000000000 pounds and to add that if you want to put 2000000000 more for newly installed equipment in the past 2 or 3 years and that's it to get rid of not just the platforms which we can see but it's an awful lot of pipelines on the seabed and plugging Wells is an extremely expensive thing to do as well and I guess all of this is contingent on the oil pros place hopes that doing well yes I mean that the industry in making investment decisions about where to drill they're not guaranteed to drill in these where they get the licenses and once they've If they have found any reserves they're not guaranteed to go ahead and produce that's the nature of exploration but the oil price of course is going to be a factor in the decision that they make about how much money is available in the market for them to do so if we take the brain to crude benchmark a barrel of brained crude from the North Sea which I would say to the United States is the international benchmark for oil if you look at the past year it's been up around $80.00 Last autumn it's down to $50.00 or a new year most of this year it's been in the $60.00 to $70.00 range today at $67.00 per barrel Now last week. Pake the oil exporters they mate and retain their constraints on production in order to hold up prices but there are other elements that could affect the price it's notoriously volatile. One thing that is helping hold up the prices are the international oil trading embargo on Venezuela and on Iran a US production is very high particularly in fracking and Texas and the Dakotas that pushes the price down what we're hearing today about what's happening in the Straits of Hormuz good reason to feel quite nervous about that vital supply route for exporting oil and that is one reason why the oil price can go up dogs for a business an economy added to thanks. To Scotland travel now there are calls for retailers to remove plastic barked fridges and freezers from sale as new tougher a manufacturing rules come in the manufacture street body however says it's misleading to infer that such fridges are dangerous well and friends from which joins us know one of the concerns out of what this is something we've been talking about which since 2070 now is something we noticed pretty early on in our testing when we were looking at fridges freezers and fridge freezer is that the prostate back models when exposed to a naked flame like what would happen in most house fires they were in Gulf ing in flames and pumping out toxic smoke within just a minute whereas the metal backed ridges which are the ones which were part of this new more stringent testing they took almost 10 minutes before we even had to put those flames out so that's quite a dramatic difference we're seeing now between the old models of fridge and what will now be permissible for manufacturers moving forward the actual change in a test is previously they used to put a whole piece of wire on the back of the fridge and to assess how flame retardant it was now they will be exposing it to a naked flame again so much more realistic around what would happen in your home should one of these fridges be part of a house fire and the concern now is that actually retailers can still sell these older standard fridge freezes there. on the no obligation to stop saying neris immediately day can still sell what they have in stock but those for each reese's do come with an extra degree of risk we should we don't fink the all of us is consumers any u.k. Should be taking on yeah but of course foods as are the sort of items in your kitchen the a libel to keep for a long time wake you could well keep for a long time in the manufacture state body of ray and saying look there's no cause for alarm here say i'm going to have to disagree of the trade body here i wouldn't say there's a cause for alarm though you but there is certainly when your next looking to replace a fridge freezer a you need to make sure it like if you looking 2nd hand for example you all king the right standard model now these free g.'s unease freezes in fridge freezer is a not unsafe in an off themselves you know they day on a fire risk in themselves but when exposed to fire they can accelerate that quite dramatically bats the problem we're seeing here so when it comes they're just making sure you keeping you kitching clean toity free of junk and monitoring that kind of stuff a making short it in get exposed to fire which hopefully we're all doing in our kitchens anyway that's a big step forward but ultimately we want to see less people buying these models meeting forward so there are fewer and fewer in our homes in the coming years do you think the something go on here that's analogous to the whirlpool tumble dryer switch ridgeley were we were told were all phase in a know we're told it a has it absolutely well it's a said big day for a lot of people here a which she feel vindicated really a and what we've been saying for we've world paul for half a decade now nereus damn it is that these tom will draw as need to be recall to they are a fire raced will of people to have been link directly to a lot house fires and some potential fatalities as well serious right there there's a recall been announced and for everyone listening knees well paul motor was well poor own a lot brown's actually say they're actually credit Point in this it and Swan tumble dryer as they were made between April 2004 and October 25th scene of the tumble dryer is there are potentially a fire risk there is a 4 recall now going to be taking place and the list is published online Thanks Adam Adam French there from which a staffing sizes that it simply Grampian must be tackled in order for the facility to progress according to an inspection report the person in Peterhead currently has more than 40 vacancies and struggling to recruit inspection report says almost all leaders of the prisoner being negatively impacted by the sort of his little bell reports. H.M.P. Grampian opened in March 24 teen with a growing population more sex offenders and longer sentences it's reflective of other prisons across Scotland and inspection has highlighted serious stuff shortage issues Wendy Sinclair given is the chief inspector of prisons in Scotland they have real difficulty recruiting staff to H.M.P. Grampian and that has a massive impact on the prisoners on the staff at everything they try and do and to live for Unfortunately despite best efforts they still haven't recruited a full staff complement the prison is short of more than 40 officers the availability of nurses was also a major concern prisoners were coming in late once and all the nursing staff a come home and were not able to be held screened when they came in and although the person was making every effort to make sure they were safe it's a major clinical risk and thankfully they have been Health and Social Care partnership resolved by. The prison is made up of 3 main accommodation blocks Christian home was closed back in 2014 and it hasn't been able to reopen due to the stuffing shortages with prisoner numbers rising across Scotland Wendy Sinclair Gavan says it's disappointing the accommodation can't be used to be able to have that extra hole benefits the prison they can offer a progressive regime and it benefits the Scottish Prison Service is suffering from overcrowding at the moment since January we've been operating around 820-8300 prisoners which is about $700.00 more than the previous year which is about the size of a large prison so to have one hole closed in a prison up north that we can't use for spaces it's just sad the inspectors find new medicine examples of good practice commending the preparation of prisoners for their return to the community and the importance placed on suppose. Family relationships but more than 100 recommendations have been made and that report says the stuff in crisis must remain the critical focus my captain is the acting governor of the prison is not unique to Scottish Prison Service as office to Scotland public sector bodies including the police they chase social care education or the scene challenges so it's not unique challenge but as a challenge and we didn't find the working hard to address them with support from our colleagues in a specific order of me I put the war effort into trying with different ways to track people and retain people and do you think that presenters in your care see if given the current climate and the shortage of staffing bear in mind I would see to that persons by nature can be difficult for him to stay in her or this person is no worse if they are present I have walked in and the staffing levels have no bearing upon that we actually have seen a reduction in violence recently just Alicia's were taken and put in place but the reality is and more staff reduced the greater my folks become to Steve see if instability for those not come for the stuff what. Inspectors say they will continue to monitor the progress of the prison and will review the situation at least her in the year. Rachael Bell reporting in 2008 Scottish indie band Frightened Rabbit to release the Midnight Organ Fight an album inspired by singer Scott Hutchison's experience of depression well last year Scott took his own life before he died he'd been working on a special reserve lease bands including Biffy Clyro and Church's cover songs on the new album to morrow B.B.C. Radio one news beats will chalk has been to meet the drummer from Frightened Rabbit Scott's brother Grant I think it's an album that has a special place in a lot of people's hearts including strip or obscene amounts to a tyrant. What makes this album I think so special to a long people is the honesty with which she's got talks about wanting his struggles with mental health at the time how was it for you was his brother to have him bring the songs to a difficult really difficult hearing something like thrown in the 4th when you don't really know someone suffering is crash on. Our. Feet. Playing a song on another. That was the 1st time you knew the extent to which go on suffering was through his lyrics pretty much a minute or unfazed over say a breakup album so I was aware of that and his passion in life but I wasn't aware there was something deeper than that until I heard some of these lyrics. I mean I know 2 people personally he says basically single handedly credit album of getting them from heartbreak up is a small relief the scar is still helping people Oh absolutely that's for some amazing and that's what I feel lucky about the situation I'm devastated when I start a family that my kids won't passionately nor their uncle but they'll be able to bless and his words and to be able to watch videos and heed his voice. And hear them laugh and that's not something that everyone Metabo in the situation I'm not I feel really really lucky to have as well. Losing someone to suicide is one of them the most confusing experiences that I felt angry at Scott and extremely sad I felt you know relieved that he's not suffering anymore as well and there's no such confusing emotions to go through how proud he feel when you hear about him like Biffy Clyro I Tapp a song. Not to laugh or yeah just amazing it was funny almost it's like this isn't really happening is a. Sign from difficulty. You know when he 1st met my organ fight I remember the exact moment I heard I was on a plane and I had to listen to the song 3 or 4 times in a row and it was turning rain show been in James in our tour manager that I just discovered the best band in the world can't believe. This and it just blew my main then we were lucky enough to get a chance to take train robber 2 or it was just like I was just straight you could get requests them have to take me you're late you could be serious with them if you will and he was just a wonderfully reliable beautiful pairs and it really brings to me to just think that we're going to see that smile anymore you know and I just wish we could have helped school in any way you know. Hoping you just how much he meant to absolutely everything Simon Neil from Biffy Clyro ending that report from We'll talk. On Digital Radio 1995 and each one of the media. B.B.C. Radio Scott.
