C.B.C. Radio. Just getting underway. Of course throughout the afternoon here on B.B.C. Radio and the rest of the scores. More reaction on the way from here. On the Go. Ahead here. Tuesday night given the exertions of to be interesting to see how many. With the game against Fleetwood in the in the 1st cup at the City Ground it would talk a lot about the big squad which is not as we said before kickoff not as big as it looks when you look at the back of a match. Just is now or casting his eye down a very long list of course. There's a lot of. Just not in the picture and by that we may not even for the 1st fleet were just just not involved in the 1st team picture at all. But having said that you look at the substitutes. You know that those on the bench today so that 7 players the 3 players who. One of those is another goalkeeper but Jayden Richardson and Brandon Johnson who were on the bench last week that were on the bench today might be an opportunity. To get a star plus the 7 substitutes today. Might be. Kind of depends really I guess how much of a change he wants to make I think without necessarily going through it if you started near Instead of grabbing for instance I would imagine he could probably name a strong starting 11 with making 11 changes from the start so. We'll wait to see exactly how how many wants to a might decide to go the other way and think as Steve just said a moment or 2 ago that they're playing. A little bit. And bring one or 2 or 3 or 4 players in but actually leave the core of the side in there so they get more used to playing alongside each other and they get to have it we just have to wait and see the night. And that will give us an indication of where the manager's thinking personally I think you probably make a lot of changes I think you probably make 10 or 11 change I would think the 7. Will make sense for them because no idea how these players. Are going to adapt. Things you know you can look at their. Needs need to get. These 90 minutes and. 90 minutes he could be in contention possibly for Saturday playing. About. You possibly could but just looking down the list there are so many players. Not very good for the squad but you would think this. Would have been. Signed and was available for today so you would think there's a change. Is he going to make a big deal of the cult. Probably not probably not less that's going to game out the way I think they have. More important games this season than Tuesday night. And subtlety is one of them getting that right. Making sure that the whole crowd he gets a performance for more than 50 minutes than he did last week and the other thing is once you've got. The Championship really does kick in doesn't it because you got. Away then in the space of 8 days you've. Very different given this. I think so I think had they lost here today and not put up for months I think you'd look at the next round of Championship fixtures with a bit of trepidation I think you genuinely would have I think you'd you'd maybe have a little bit of a concern about how then you certainly have concerns about Followed quickly by falling away with all the travelling down to London in between times as well having said that this is the kind of thing we were talking about about what a difference a performance like today makes getting the 1st point in terms of belief and any in terms of confidence and you're right in terms of how you now look at it because now you think go out and play like they did today to Birmingham to show a little bit more attacking threat like they did in the early stages against West Brom when they had another week on the training ground to work on it then you can have some confidence and belief that they can go home to Birmingham and win that game and then go to chart made Midway can go there with some confidence I think we get the car with a little bit more confidence as well. You DO YOU GET YOU think. This can be positive to. The car it was a. Side going to be we wonder how it's going to go there was a. Better I was fearful today I thought. Given the lack of reaction really we saw last week from Forrest when they conceded the 1st goal scorer 1st goal here in front of a buying full half. On their 1st home game of the season then forest might be in some trouble but you give credit where it's due and forest didn't concede that early goal and that's where I was talking about how being strong for that 1st half an hour is also an important trait to have in this championship division and it's that's a mentality thing as well isn't it to get through that kind of game when you're under that kind of pressure Well it is and that's what you need this this league is unforgiving you know and honestly and yet you have to work hard there's no magic formula for this league both of them graft and hopefully you can you can find a couple of players that. Can get you results at both ends of the field you get a goalkeeper and a back for that clean sheet and you can get a striker in midfield player that can score 20 goals and probably 8 or 10 from midfield if you can get that. Along with a decent mentality then you've got a chance of going at this league and staying up the field mill Mansfield against MORCOMBE early in the 1st half Jay Garner not a good start here Phil Bell 5 minutes gone in the 1st half and it's Morgan who take the lead some Lavelle with a header from close range using all 6 but 2 of his friends ahead of the Cross from the right hand side of the month's bills at the game Welker to voters can shots it's been MORCOMBE who are on the front foot in the last of it's a so another so they deserve this lead it's. Not a good start home now very much so thank you Jay Garner reporting from Phil mill more to come from there hopefully more goals at the other end in the afternoon to come and then from 5 o'clock match days we're here with Charlie Slater live from Madaline will bring you commentary on not against Barnet at the line it'll be on all of our frequencies and also on the B.B.C. Sport website and at between the 2 match days if you like and so will be on your radio as well from half against Islam. So that's on the way apologies for that but it's on the why the saving not spawn it at 5 on all of our frequencies and as I say because it's in the national league it will be on the B.B.C. Sport website and still expecting player reaction from here a little over most of my past me to the coach but we want to still left in the dressing room so we're bringing you at that reaction as soon as we can in the meantime. Don't tell me you already knew I have a look back at the highlights. Now it's kind of afternoon I fancy here it's a road to self they don't they fire when you don't want them to then absolutely diddly squat when you want to hear them but that's the way of it the cell phone we're on till half past 3 and then of course hats are on your radio with the best bits of the week on radio not again and I'll let you into another little secret the last 5 minutes will not be in that program between half past 3 and 5 and I say Charlie between 5 and around about half past 7 bring you reaction from Adeline and then the beat is on the way with Dean and the tame LIVE on line from 6 and also on your radio from half past 7 right keep everything crossed everybody up and down the country let's look back at the highlights of the South and it's going to pour again I believe this initial somewhat controlled release it was this I think so I guess. What I was after it was I think. Probably best forgotten we're white reaction here . We are white a lot of things here at Elland Road. 330 that is certainly the case and will bring you more reaction from here as soon as we can off the lead and forestry 11 coming from all of you made of the last 5 minutes Well it's given me time to work out an 11 change taking to Tuesday night would you like to hear it and I would you know I need to know what frankly what you like me to go through very very slowly I'd like to hear anything work. I don't know if this will work but yeah. Carl Jenkinson. The loss of each is to send a harps and Ribeiro comes in. Back Sam Purcell and John Bastar holding midfielders. To get a star in one of the wide positions probably somebody like Arvin apply or maybe could start any other wide position Brendan Johnson might get a star and then run for mayor up front and that would be 11 changes. You could put that and you still you know there are still 4 or 5 players like Carvalho for instance is coming back into into training this week. At the moment better ones injured at the moment Yates is injured at the moment so there are some injuries on that list as well but that avoids all of those players as well which which does go to show that even though you might have sidelined a few players in in the 40 man squad there's still plenty of choice every fascinated to see what happens on Tuesday March 11th trying to decide what I think so when you've got that many players because it's an opportunity to. You know to give some of those players some game time and you know we would it's all very well having sidelined a few of the players and told them they're not going to be involved but when you you know you still dealing with a squad of the round about 28 or 30 on a day to day basis who you consider your 1st team squad you've you know there's only 18 available on a match there's only 18 that have been used plus the other 3 so in the 2 games so far $21.00 players have been used that's an awful lot of players who've not got on the pitch yet for Forest who are considered part genuinely part of the 1st team squad so I think if you've got a League Cup tie at home 1st round an opportunity to give some of those players a 1st outing then then then that's what you'll do at the other one who didn't mention in terms of starting on it because it might even be too quick for him he's chairman of the central defender he could come in I suppose on the Tuesday night might be a decent game to give him an introduction but he is only expected to join up with Forrest. Tomorrow so they will probably only give in well if they train tomorrow probably a warm down tomorrow and only really Monday a training session ahead of the cheese day games that might be a bit quick for him but he's another option to kind of check in there for Tuesday night well it's going to sell us an update from field against more come in League 2 to soften in the latest from Jay Garner That's 10 minutes gone here and still. More can one better months for the little bit since going behind a couple of chances for Dickey men are just some good work from Danny Rose a stalwart see C.J. Helton get a little bit more on the ball this time the main person on the ball at the moment is Otis Carney seen a couple of neat touches it's common in here was the one he was going to change just. To made in the new ballgame last week you certainly proved his money's worth in the up in 10 minutes or so couple of the interchanges with Mark betting on the left side just got to break up for a vote it's a free kick to a field on half way but could have a bit of a delay while the Danny Rose 6 about a treatment. For another head injury got one last week and it looks like he's got on This Week 11 minutes gone Phil Milton still. Want to. Thank you very much indeed Jay Garner reporting from field updates from there throughout the rest of the afternoon here on B.B.C. Radio not to you where it is 315 at the time leads one Forest one is how it finished here at Elland Road hunters on your radio very soon between 330 and 5 and then match day with Charley between 5 and 730 the saving with knots facing Barnet Let me update you on not want to scores from up and down the country in the early stages. Sheffield Wednesday late Barnsley in the championship by a goal to nil Adam reach scoring after 2 minutes Hala one up against Reading Gerrard but when after 6 it is Preston one we can nail sure McGuire after 6 minutes elsewhere joining in league Burton by a goal to nail Southend to nail down at home to black pulled us when he thought we often couldn't get any worse. By a goal to nail. 314 is that right let's hear from Nottingham shiz director of cricket Mick Newell feticide it's been a very disappointing season with the county at the bottom of the County Championship and looking almost certain to be relegated into Division 2 with only 4 games left in the season however knots are 2nd in their 2020 group in the north and group and look well set to qualify and they reach the semifinals of the one day Cup I spoke with Mick knew all about the season as a whole that we were quite glad to put the whites away in the Red Bulls away and get stuck into a new competition I think you know it's fairly obvious that we played some pretty average cricket in the Championship and we find ourselves but with a league with 4 games to go and you know relegation is is looking like a probability if we don't improve very quickly I think 50 over cricket obviously we made the semifinals so that's what we will reason be happy with that but you want to get to the final and I think T 20 you know a minimum expectation is that we get through the knockout stages of the competition that's what we expect to do so you know very keen to see how the next 3 or 4 weeks progress in the County Championship come out of a shock because what's happened to you and to a lot of people at the club it's just been a shock I didn't expect us to be 8 out of 8 there's no doubt about that you know we were excited in new players in we were excited to bring young talented English cricketers into the club with to work with the coaching staff we thought but I didn't think probably favorites to win it but I thought mid table was a strong possibility with the quality of players that we brought in but you know we haven't played well enough we have batted one of times and. I find ourselves in a very difficult situation and really needing to win 3 or 4 matches to stay up what's gone wrong can you pinpoint what the problem is well not exactly Otherwise we did you know we didn't swing about and play better you know we're just not playing well enough I think the players confidence get has been lower I think the more that you but poorly the more confidence drops and if you find yourself in trouble you think oh no here we go again and you know you like that mental strength to get out of trouble and that's been a situation we've tried different things we plotted play on spinning pitches when Robbie Ashton was with us we've been good batting pitches we've put on some seeming pretty but we don't seem to score enough runs to get ourselves out of trouble at the moment you know we deserve to be bottom when we go trying to sing about the same to all of this is too sweeping generalization all of the top $67.00 are out of 4 but all at the same time and that's very rarely happens now and I think as a generalization I think Chris Nash has played pretty well for the most part through the season but you know we look back to the 1st game of the season in April against Yorkshire we made 420 odd and I think in 350 and since then we've come nowhere near those sort of numbers you know Joe Klock 112971 W. And since they're not very much so I think we are we are badly out of form and we have some scrambling draws but we've also heard some heavy defeats So what do you do do you think it's just one of those seasons where everything has gone wrong or do you start apportioning blame. Well I don't think we apportion blame I mean it's worse spectators in the members will no doubt apportion blame I think our job is to say look we've got to fight hard to stay out to get out of trouble we've got 4 games to go I know that the coach in the players are not just going to accept where we are say we're going to get relegated to do everything we can to get out but look we know we haven't played very well and I think you know it's it will be very sobering if we do end up in Division 2 Again we spent a lot of time in Division one and not much time in Division 2 and if we get relegated then after ask questions of ourselves and how we're going to get out of trouble and assuming you do go down do you make changes again at the end of the season on a on the playing side or culture so I think we're constantly reviewing everything that we do you know I think we will be look. in a everything that's gone on this season and trying explain why we are where we are in the league but you know well we've got a fantastic coat she's would trophies with us in the in the past few years we go a believing or in our coats and stuff but you know brillig ation brings discussions in the we know that some of those assertions mot becoming it some of said that pitta more does out a contract in the when yes our is at the care yeah that's trillion you know i have you started talks about a new teacher in insularity barno is art no i mean in a moment we're waiting to see how the tone was play out i think the most important think from the clips perspective is to give the coach the opportunity to win every trophy in the course of the seas so you know we're not in the mood to make any saw decision no have any saw discussion until after they the t 20 is played out and i think then close in addition to or began coming up a scar brits the right thing to do is to support applies in the coach all the way through the season so if not sweyn the 2020 to season prieta morse could be in charge nixey but if knots when the 2020 this is going will of 150 percent of the what will trophies in 3 is and no or that seem a her think is one too so look i think you know as i say our job my job is to give pete every chance to win this competition we've got good player as in this comic book to overseas players now all we're focused on is saying where this competition takes us because we know the chum it if his top how much to you look at yourself as well as the director a cricket hooper all in a lot of these pliers loss when to how much do you take that on board yourself yell at my job is very wide ranging are my job used to go and get the play is that we want to bring into the cloak you know we'd i wouldn't never sign a player that the coachella captain don't want the same tom i don't sign every play that it do want because there's a boogie and we have to stick to know sort of thing so we were have to look at our philosophy young recruitment again you know our philosophy was english qualified young under 2526 that was our philosophy no culp arcs know people over sort of 30 to 33 it's gone get some youngsters in i'm rebuild because we've got a coach it that we believe is very good it working we young players at the moment not clearly isn't working this summer all of a new class at a club are performing under their career stats so we need to review that but i'd i certainly don't envisage just going down a cult pack Short term fix root in the next couple of years I noticed for example retired from international cricket and I thought I just wondered with his previous Trent Bridge whether he was somebody you might look to bring in on a cold glass not on the not on the radar a moment you know we've got some experienced players we need that we need to give them an opportunity this season to play out the season is not too many of our players contracted players of their contracts this year so there's not going to be a huge change who brought in players last winter so I don't see a huge turnover of players in the end of the season so how do you make them better for next season well we need to work harder with them over the winter we'll be working hard with the players in terms of a training plan a training strategy over the winter games changing a lot these some of these lads will be away playing for other teams over the winter that's a challenge now that wasn't there even 3 or 4 years ago it's what's more a different game now Notts is one of 5 or 6 teams that are on their C.V. As opposed to what we know one of the time as it was it was used to be so I think we need to review their commitments in the winter how we train and coax him in the woods and to say look if we get into if we do find ourselves in Division 2 then we expect to get our Division 2 straight away is there an extra pressure to playing at Trent Bridge say compared to. I don't want to be accused to be disrespectful but to say was to where Joe Clark has come from or Northants where repent Duckett is has come from that. Maybe extra scrutiny extra pressure because it is in a predominately a 1st division county and a Test match ground as well I think you'd have to ask them if it's a different feeling playing for a Test match ground to a non-tax much ground my point to them and I think the pizza point to them as well is if you're playing for a Test match ground there's an expectation that is higher so our club members and our committee expect us to be in the top 4 division one that's what they expect they expect us to make knock out cricket in every competition that we play and I think some of the clubs that you know don't knock out cricket is a bonus well than expectations so you are expected to win more matches because you're expected to be competing for all the trophies that's the same at not so when we were here at work for today go to Lancaster go to Yorkshire. Pretty much every county with the exception of Somerset has had to spend time in Division 2 in the past 12 or 13 years that is also a choose not like football where you know you Liverpool the Man United you never get relegated everybody gets relegating county cricket it's how you respond to that is the key thing. I wonder as well whether what you think of the kind of. Pressure around or maybe it's just a social media bubble which I know you're not a big fan of necessarily social media but he's there more scrutiny more criticism around these days and it's the criticism is quicker than it ever used to Stephanie quicker I mean you know if people wanted to complain to me 10 years ago they had to make the effort to get a pen and a piece of paper gone by stamp and walk down the road and post a letter so used to get a few but now now somebody wants to express an opinion either directly to me or to everybody in the world can just type a few buttons and out it goes I mean I'm not a fan of social media tell the place to stay off it there's nothing good to be gained in my opinion from professional sports from going on it to read about performances good or bad but you know people are entitled to their complaints and I'm certain the moment they were game 20 players are on social media of course sadly for them but they're not. You know we're not a babysitters we don't say that we don't have any rules and regs about you must not go on social media I don't encourage them not to get involved in discussion if you like with people I might my view is if somebody writes to me by email or writes in a club if they're a member of the club then I will always reply to them you know of other pick up the phone or reply but I don't think there's much to be gained from getting into an argument on social media as to say whether you play well or badly so do you take any notice of it. Doesn't influence you not so of not or not no interest because because you have to believe in what you're doing at the moment there's obviously a lot of noise around the club a lot of people with a lot of opinions easily expressed you have to as a club as a playing staff and a coaching staff and a committee you have to stick together believe in the people who work for you and support them and as I say you get to the end of the season then you review I don't want to go down the football route 2nd people mid-season I think I'll be a dreadful state for cricket to get into I want to play the whole season now and then review the season and at the moment that's what we're doing we're going to play all 3 tournament to a point of which we can't win them and then we'll have a review and do you did you did every year presumably that review at the end of a season is not because years it's been so now we review this here in a church you know no I mean I think you know I've always said it for years that 4 day cricket is the number one comp you know I start at that sort of an A.T.M. Or stand up in members' form as I've said it publicly Division One is where your view does a club and that's how your your you know your club is viewed around the country which to be your in a 4 day cricket ball if we're going to get into division to them we've got to accept that and do our best to get out of it whilst at the same time maintaining the importance of what will cricket you know I think when you spend as you do T 20 know it's a term bridge you can see 121-3000 of which 4000 around members are members look to 20 cricket they want to see a successful in T 20 cricket maybe in their minds not quite as much as 4 day cricket but I don't think it's far behind that is make near or not a game she is director of cricket speaking to me at its best and last night about the season as a whole all of you the closing headlines in a moment 1st a goal at film Mansfield MORCOMBE Jay Garner nobody would have seen this coming ahead of kickoff MORCOMBE going to break up again because still starts a short. One of the top. Tier fill their 2nd goal came up from a former NOT LOUIS Alessandra was Kevin Ellis' wonderful floated ball into the area blue Alessandra just calmly had to overcome a. Marked by Christian Pearson to Alessandra just had a. The common Logan to give MORCOMBE has to be said deserve to know lead here Bill 23 minutes gone it's not spilled milk welcome to goodness Magi gonna fill update from there throughout the afternoon into hands as program which is on the way in the next 5 minutes a reminder that matched by comes live from Adeline from 520 the saving with knots against bonnet on all of our frequencies kick off at 520 and also on the B.B.C. Sport website and here at Elland Road just about double leave you with a closing headlines where Leeds and forest drew one a pace from a soul in West Yorkshire Good afternoon into the penalty area centered across a 6 shot by I guess the cross bar comes out for sure that Harrison gets still arguing with the referee. Having a run gets held up by Cooper but gives it to Sampras out sound now gives it back to lowly lowly teasing against Cooper drives it in pose it back to a penalty spot I was riding is it tough play it crashes or stop short wide of the target. I was running onto it was not expecting I think to come to him quite so quickly because the cross for Molly was stabbed away from the edge of the penalty area I'm looking running and Watson rather running onto it smashes it just wide of the target but there's an example of how you get back in again putting 8 minutes on the clock 2nd half cash into was a 6 yard box where it's headed over the cross bar by course. But keep it down it's all good. To me if it was so over the crossbar that it is over the crossbar writings one middle to late one will turn a corner was decided from the left on side right foot it may oppose David Amodio becomes all white but posting crap out of me was probably was pretty basic was OK now it's probably because he was a sage and may want to talk about how she was made squelch to play the lines from a posse here are now very much crap and was told they all over forest was up I was on the island road with 30 minutes they were called stuck down the right hand side as the sun comes out again cos there was this may force was females for a 2nd. Good afternoon it's Hansa day be here with you until 5 o'clock I tell you what is happening for the next hour and a half an up day on the roads for you. She trains between them. Through some of the best. America. Wow wow wow. Wow. Wow wow wow. Wow Wow. Wow. Wow Wow. Wow Wow. Wow Wow. Wow. Wow. Don't stop. On B.B.C. Radio not sing him with me and I'm going to be with you in so 5 o'clock when matchday is back with Charlie slate and with commentary on knots that has bought it happening at 20 past 5 which is also available on the B.B.C. B.B.C. Sport website and apps so don't worry useful dose is not over that is to come. Well you at 5 but before that going to be taking you through some of the best bits that you may or may not of courts across B.B.C. Radio knotting in this week starting with well you've heard the saying dream big and that might mean different things to different people some people's dreams are about owning a business or maybe traveling to a far off land but for some just being able to hold their own baby a baby they've created is the biggest dream they have and sometimes the one most ALSA for each Rebecca kava thought her dreams of becoming a mum were over when she was diagnosed with cervical cancer at age 33 soon after getting married but 6 months ago she gave birth to a healthy after pioneering treatment at Nottingham City hospital she told B.B.C. Radio nothing is Hayley Compton about getting her diagnosis. Was only. Because I'd been called back in I knew it wasn't good news I knew that there was a good chance they were going to tell me that it was cancerous at the very least I was going to be told that further treatment would be required for abnormalities so I already had a feeling I kind of knew what did that mean for you and him starting a family. We were pretty devastated I'm a bit of research I don't I tend to just get online and start looking at things and be quite proactive What can I do what can I find out and just you know try and maintain some control I suppose over the situation so I'd already been researching a little bit about a procedure called a radical track elect me which I knew was capable of so it was a fertility sparing operation so you there was a chance that you could have children afterwards rather than going straight for a hysterectomy during the. The 1st appointment when they told me that I had cervical cancer they did actually also mention the track Lex maybe but very much in the sense that you could be eligible for this procedure there were lots of tests that they needed to do this very strict criteria that has to be fulfilled for you to be eligible for a radical track elects me because you know you don't mess around with cancer and if there was any chance of spread or the Cima was too big or anything like that they wouldn't do it they would have gone straight for hysterectomy How much are you holding on to that chance are was everything I couldn't even consider. The hysterectomy hysterectomy option at that stage I didn't even think about it that much I was just I know what I want to aim at the track let's me and we'll cross that bridge when we come to it if we have to have a hysterectomy What was the discussion like with the consultant about having your baby yourself in your own body so obviously we had the right of course recollects me we were cleared to conceive 6 months later and the operation itself because of the nature of what they do removing the entire cervix and kind of putting a suture in to hold any future pregnancies can make it difficult to fall pregnant naturally so relatively quickly we were referred to an I.V. F. Clinic and we started the process of I.V.'s in the end 5 transfers with I V F So it was that in itself was quite a journey just explain why your body is different to other women's bodies. The radical collects may involve them removing the entire save expand some surrounding tissues so the women's sort of a balloon sort of shape with the cervix at the bottom and the cervix is what sort of holds a baby in there are essentially that's where you get the mucus plug during pregnancy and so forth so I literally don't have that the entire thing was taken away and some of the surrounding structures and I don't know the ins and outs of that what they did exactly medically but they put in a stage essentially through the bottom of the womb to do the job that the cervix would do as a result you can't always conceive naturally can make the process a little bit more difficult and you can't give birth naturally you have to have a Syrian section how many babies are born like yours the one that you're holding there's not that many I don't know exact numbers but it's the radical shock let's me still a relatively new. There's not that many surgeons in the U.K. Or the world that really carry it out it is becoming increasingly common because I think with early detection more and more people are eligible for it and obviously awareness is growing but there's not many and there is there really aren't that many track let's move babies around she is the definition of a miracle for us she really is and so it feels to be holding in there quite emotional she's I we're just we just love her to bits we. Don't even have to sleepless nights or you know her being upset and we're tired and everything US It doesn't matter it's just I just have to remind myself how lucky we are to actually be here she's a complete joy every operation every injection every penny we had to spend to get here is worth all of it. So what that was that B.B.C. Radio. Speaking to her back account with that had 2 to 6 month old evilly Grace Bonnie cam you can to him. Of the form and get in the 2nd hole of the script but still have got to go but the 1st shot on target is about Thomas with Donald a fired at Los A by the goalkeeper and it became a lot off the mark for his new club topping home from close range for the Hossa deficit as we approach our time here called Let's Go before halftime but not filled with the nerves will be eased a little bit by that goal that certainly since it's gone and a couple of minutes ago 42 minutes gone it's not still to talk about spilled one welcome to. DAY TO DAY got a you can hear from as he will be giving you regular updates as to what's happening that much looks like and only drinks at things and turn around in a good way. To say full updates for you throughout the program up until 5 o'clock this evening B B C 2 brings a little color to Wednesday night so our this is take as Fearne Cotton follows a team of talented up becoming interior designers competing for a contract of a long term interior design so much more than just painting a few bulls what else is going on I know it's all fun because each other the question thing and this is my room's got. A color it's a judge would say interior design master's It's like being perfectly poised between pleasure and I starts next Wednesday night at 8 on B.B.C. 2. And next to going to meet the woman who's bringing a populous so we treat often found. To Nottingham all year round I know that you think what is it. After the ups. And downs that say. That the only thing you know. When. Please. Look. Look look look look. Look. Look. Look look look look look look. Look. Look look look look look look look look. Was. It was. Was Matthew Wilder break my stride now you might be forgiven for thinking when we're in October you know with the weather being how is the moment gosh it's pouring isn't it but it is definitely August I can tell you with so that it's August and there's a sweet treat you might associate with this kind of you know Tom no atmosphere because you normally get it goose fat sticky it's light and it's usually a pastel pink color you could even say it's like a car out candyfloss candyfloss is what I'm talking about and if you fancy a bit of that throughout the year well you're in luck because Brooklyn is bringing it to Nottingham all year round with her business sugar and sky which is what she spoke to Mark Denison about on the morning show on this day Well it's a candy Fast Company I saw that my friend back in Kansas City had started one and I was looking at her Instagram I was like that's a really cute idea and I saw a get for it out here so I went with it so what's the plan there are you going to go to lots of different venues and festivals and things like that just set up with your what we haven't checked out you're kind of 1st making a quick market spike through the windows or we're going to have a look at in a minute how is that the plan is going to go to different places right now I'm kind of just trying to grow awareness which is going to include doing pop ups at the fair a pop ups you know inside Oscar rosaries where I work and then just trying to get in on birthdays weddings other events but I did my 1st example of a like an academy or a workshop and I brought in 1000 from Green her coffee and Beeston and we just did a team night where the. They come in and I show them how can you floss works and then they actually get to color and flavor and make their own sugars and then get to try and spin it themselves and have some to take home is a very positive experience right yeah because when I think you've come to Florida like so I think you. By the way if you heard of you would have been here for good for last year I didn't go but I know what you're aware of yes you have a Coke going to stick if not OK during the next song Don't worry it's not really what it sounds. Yeah but a lot of people will think well candy floss see saw it as well but what you're saying you're so you can come in different. No shapes and sizes sorry but colors and flavors right so you can do just plain which is great I'm actually testing out doing plain like refined Fairtrade like Cane sugars from plastic free pantry not because I think they're moving towards like it's already gluten free in the end so I will like move toward the sustainability route because I feel like that's going to that's going to leave more opportunity for me to walk through but as far as the flavors and the colors go I use a flavoring from back in America so that's bringing a lot of different stuff over here as well as I'm trying to make a line of alcoholic floss while cauliflower Yeah so I've experimented with like some gin and lime in some whisky I mean for more interest and yeah I brought some for your. Daughter A terrible showing so I also I've got some biodegradable bags that I packaged them in and put my sticker on Iraq people want to just do orders or take away a bag from an event or a party you really are thinking about this biodegradable thing on you I'm trying to save the Earth one candy floss and time that's Brooklyn they're talking to Mark Dennison and of course a guy without having to go make an insult so I just moved out of the studio and I've come all the way next door where we've got a little meeting room this is this is basically the room where people brought in the B.B.C. To be told off so I spent quite a lot of time in this room and Brooklyn is here where they've got all these different presumably this is what just sugar is it yet sugar color and flavor this is just regular sugar This one's a peach mango lemon like Cherry Now peach mango. Really just right and you know we've been talking about being environmentally friendly you know all of the people might well ask about flavorings these days are they all kind of natural flavorings and color and all of that yeah I use there is a drink flavoring as far as the sugars go or I use like a natural extract and the colors are vegan and good for you as well so yeah and of course being sure you are a dentist best friend what was the other what. Really has been a let me talk so the machine. Would just describe what's going on that it's something in the middle the sense of it is spinning a round and round and round needs to get to a certain temperature is that right. Yeah so it just heats up in the middle there and it's going around and when I drop the sugar in once it heats up enough it just kind of passes out is there amazing how because you've only just put a little tiny bit of sugar into the middle there and you're catching an awful lot of candyfloss around the stick Yeah. I get surprised too sometimes the colors and like how wet the sugar is and the flavoring like that can all affect how it's been done as well so we're going to just an experiment all the time trying to figure out what the best option is and how much to put in. so if i were to it what would happen anon not going to do case what would happen if i got this this tobe an are just well and took the whole thing at really fill the room we would be here for very long term 8 horror i'm going to tippett no you know ok ok can i cannot i have a go existed in the have a go yeah when it's ready now ok so we're were optimum temperature all wealth flavor way you know like what i seeing as i had the this sort of limon tobe that why don't you've got a little spoon thing haven't you so through are just how how much she like puts in a but it's been a full screw yeah but yet of commit to commit it to commit all on committed brooklyn no worry about that yeah ok so as you put it in the middle of the probably hear it spinning around then you knew very quickly very like oh are all cases going to be of got microphone in one hand yeah steve been a know there are acts or hand in me ok i'll tell you we're all scoot and you stick oh alright it's alright yeah it so i just oh it's going in its go and like that and then they're all right all or and she is just catching a and it and it just transforms what i what does this is science in action how does i even happen in a new i must be a temp sure thing that just makes into candyfloss and it still coming it's doing the coming hour well do you know i thought you never ask are just take a little oh and it's you know it's really nice and soft as work a sometimes it can be quite string in I was loving the. Page lovely and strange just a little hint of lemon not is not too overpowering Yeah yeah these lines are a little bit more aggressive but the ones with the extract tend to be much more mellow today you never know what you're going to get with that with much done and said we need to Him weekday mornings from 9 and that was Mark making some candy for us with that Brooklyn who is from the business sugar and scarlet. Line on C M says C.B.C. Radio. So as we've been hearing Mansfield at field mail and Jake Gonna is that keeping an eye on things yes half time here are filled mailers upscaled one more consume a disastrous opening 35 minutes for the stags saved by 10 minutes of of the crew performing shall we say the game did start well it's all 4 minutes into the game some of L. Headed from a John O'Sullivan's cross from the right hand side all marked at the far post nobody was nobody was watching him and in the end it was a simple header for the defender and then things got from bad for from bad to worse for stags Kevin Ellison left a ball from the left hand side straight into the head of Louis Alexander who made that darting run amok into the penalty area and only had to do was just had to overcome a Logan into the far corner to get more of a deserved to no lead and that I should expect it did not bode well for the mascot sound bombs here that failed merely nearly went from out from Baton Hurst for the Sox other books than quick thinking from from him a free kick but 10 yards inside his own half fired once was calm at Logan's go really all day and it calland off the top of the crossbar much build really wide and then look there and it could have been a whole lot worse for them but they finally found their way back into the game about 5 minutes to go before half time Alex McDonald firing a shot towards a gulp say bye bye roach in. A simple tap in from close range into an accident for Nicky main out his 1st goal in a stock shirt and the humane out went close again a couple minutes later his chances well say bye bye Roach months old and in a half on the high but I think that goal may have saved the match your time players from from a chorus of boos they certainly didn't enjoy that and 35 minutes of this game but the doing well in the last 10 minutes or so passes started to click a little bit things are slowly coming together John that so will be having words with these players that we haven't worsened selves as well but hopefully a much improved performance in the 2nd half our time here is much build one can so thanks. So you can have more updates from Jake. And. With you. In the next hour and more music is wow. From the likes of Neil Diamond and Rita Ora to come for you after for.
