Passed and Sam What you doing on Friday the 19th of June 2020. The West the West Life Yes Well you know no I mean will they be playing any sports or carriage will they be doing will there be a lot of pre-match entertainment will bang girlfriend told can well be kicking around in support for West Westlife maybe we do that your views choke before anyone does it less to get ticked off so we're Sam do you know that Westlife are playing at Carroll road next year and didn't. Apparently quite fancy themselves for at least a point. So you get so Westlife are playing it Kara wrote yeah yeah they quite fancy themselves to get least a point at least a point of playing a character like as if they're playing and snoring Oh all right yeah I get it now you're sorry that was really so I was made so I do it's I would say so in the morning but it's now i o'clock now we've been away for ages and we work on. Your jokes raise me up Chris but I do get them anyway so I'm tough the weather. B.b.c. Radio in Norfolk weather. We've got 2 hours of the sort of course you see right here in Norfolk or with Chris Core I'm sitting in for Nick Conrad Let's find out what the weather's going to be like for the weekend we can't quite go for as far as do next year when Westlife will pick our road but it would just take we can get for the weekend there's Elizabeth retaining probably warming up but you know I still really don't yes yes probably right had a bit warmer anyway I'm is quite warm today is Wade least they're actually temperatures have been rising even night and we've got that rain is now clearing its way eastwards of marriage say I'm still a bit light patchy stuff around in the visibility is quite bad as well that's because you get that moderate coming in of the cold grounds it's a kind of fogged out if you so I mean as it's quite misty it's quite murky out there still some outbreaks Apache rain and drizzle around that heaviest stuff is now clearing and yeah tend to be the quite low dry with around today I think particularly through the late morning into the 1st part of the afternoon as that plume lifts that even brighten up a touch might not take but if it does brighten up it already had to lift the temperature a from further and we could get as high as 15 or 16 degrees Celsius later on the Sultani we've got a south westerly wind it's not too strong that will change more rain towards the end of the day but probably not until after dark actually some of that Reg tended to be heavy they could even be some lightning involved as well but that rain of clear it's way north east it's again I have a night tonight turning dry with clay spells temperatures dropping to around 9 or 10 degrees Celsius a little bit cooler and then tomorrow. Yes going to feel quite a bit exceptionally windy actually a very blustery day with the Met Office wet. Warning in place from 4 o'clock in the morning until 4 o'clock in the afternoon with the strongest gust of wind expected ready through the late morning I think for most of us a gust of wind about say 50 to 60 miles an hour very wind is enough to cause some disruption I'd say and so there will be some showers on and off through the day as well by the time we get to Sunday the winds a lighter quiet today of weather sunny spells but will say some showers around just lighter winds and temperatures again just 12 or 13 degrees Let's take a look at the inch a waterspout cost for today the wind southeasterly bearing southerly 0 southwesterly 4 or 5 occasionally 6 later the sea states lights or moderate the weather rain at times that later on the visibility moderate all good but occasionally poor Elizabeth retain a b.b.c. Radio. Elizabeth recently thank you with your weather for this morning work well and Chris Cormack breakfast sitting in for Nick Conrad It's almost 10 past 8 our top story this morning centers around the fact that it's World Reagan Day today nor Each is rated as the most Reagan friendly city in the u.k. So clearly Reaganism is striking a chord in the county How much do you care about where your food comes from what you're eating less meat half of all the consumer aged between $15.34 so we're looking here at something that's just a fad and isn't the future all is this a sign of things to come what does it mean for Norfolk's farmers it's one of the issues we've been looking at this morning earlier on we spoke to Nick Dean from the Norfolk branch of the n.f.u. This is what he had to say about veganism and whether it's the future or a fad of the farmers in Norfolk I've no idea where the trend would end my feeling is that a lot of people if they want to eat over are. Big it might be a mill they have once or twice a week it became for them to think very much about what they do eat and promote any considering what they eat where it comes from its traceability. Overall your traditional value of it one business they can thank the rise of beginners and for its success is the header set based on one planet pizza director Mike Hill joins us this morning morning Mike. Now you've been vacant for 35 years so before we talk about the wider impacts of more people going Gregan I wonder if you can tell me what challenges there or what changes you've noticed because I imagine being a vegan 35 years ago was quite a job. Oh yeah it was very different back then crisp very different. I mean there were very few things around people that just started to get snow vegetarians a lot people just didn't know what the going is Maus and the range of food. Particularly the milk replacements made replacements was incredibly limited they can chase was very poor that they can focus very poor but in some sense that was that was good because it had a positive impact on my dog's eyes it's not more hope hope foods and less of the processed replacements that are available now I think now but they have a big difference back then was it was much more about the animals and there was less research about positive impact on the environment part by stock Reza I think a lot of people these days ago in begun Yes because the health reason yes because of that most obvious a. Woman and environment seems to be the key issue at the moment. Some people say that it is just a fad though because a lot of people who are going vegan are between the ages of 15 and 34 it's something that they they won't keep up forever what would you say to that. But I've seen a gradual increase over the last 3035 years but now a very fast change over the last 4 years for example so I think the research shows over the last 4 years number of people that they going to see increased fourfold So it's now around 600000 adults but this even larger increase the number of people The Flexitarian 3rd of the population now according to the latest research are even vegetarian vegan or flexitarian I think that's probably the other key change yes we've got a lot more the in the country but there's a about 3rd the population there are flexitarian now actively trying to reduce the amount of meat and dairy and I guess that's probably one of the key messages yes it'd be great it went totally equally important would be if you can just reduce the amount of meat and dairy because the mad me dairy we consume now is increased dramatically since well. You know back in when we had rationing right well we had some healthy starts that happened last century and that's part merely because people are eating more plant based and they were growing their own it's not really recently that we've massively increase the amount of meat and dairy and I think this is so much the rebalancing now and we're getting back to putting you know plant based foods at the center of our diet. Your business one planet pizza How has that changed and how popular do you feel you are becoming Now what we thought about 3 years ago I myself my son Joe just felt there was a real gap in the markets and I'm up in a business a long time but have not run even restaurants in Norwich in the past 5 really wants to try to do something to make it easier for people to get reduce the amount meat and dairy pizza frozen pizza is a massive part of people's diets it's worth millions and millions of pounds that market and we just felt it was a really good alternative to those classic make very pizzas the moderates of the meds age that lot so we just want to develop a straight swap if you like so people could could swap out to me and introduce a class a plant based one that's lower result sugar learn saturated fat so it's relatively healthy for them we don't rig we call ourselves plant based pizza pioneers the east say to serve in the morning but we do crazy things like we put flax seed in our base season lots of our source that's the possible to make pieces healthier if you just think about how you create them but speaking to people who are vegetarians Ravi can see this morning they tell me that change is one of the hardest things to to recreate and when you have the cheese substitutes it's one of the big disappointments of going we can. It has been in the past absolutely are true if you're probably for the very start reason they can change the last few years because certainly 35 years ago it was very poor you know it didn't melt very rubbery didn't taste of an OS but it's improved massively now and I think the number of people that are seeing someone yesterday and they were saying that they vegetarian they'd like to go vegan but cheese is really one of the hardest things to give up and one of the reasons for that I can research shows that it does have some addictive qualities it's got chemicals in it which it designed to instigate to encourage calf's to go to their. Mothers in order to feed the milk and that she has the same impact on us and that's one of the reasons people find cheese very difficult to give up both of course it's very it's very flexible food it's easy to put cheese on almost anything and make it tasty so I think that's one of the big changes recently that they can chase has improved dramatically and certainly the one we we helped design that specifically for its melt ability and it's in its you saw pizzas. Or Mark thanks so much Michael from one planet pizza joining us on b.b.c. Radio Norfolk but I mean they're open for breakfast but we did send what we were about earlier on with the challenge of finding a 6 Item Reagan breakfast in Norfolk because usually people say I really miss bacon and and the fry up so we set out for the challenge of finding breakfast in Norfolk a look at our producer Tim to find out whether we've heard from Wally at all shaking his head still let's bring in. Our and a half ago to find a 6 items breakfast How is that going had one of the Wally Webb last hours we've not heard hide nor hair from in trade since about 64645 when you spoke to him last and that's it he's gone to ground so I'm hoping you'd be ringing way trying to find that 6 hours in the breakfast he said he expect to hear from him by about 845 so based on that deadline we've got half an hour and then we should hear from him and as it hopefully a successful conclusion to his mission to get 6 out of the breakfast we'll find out from what he later on hopefully and what we hope we haven't said the chap the Chinese that finally breaks in. Preschool on b.b.c. Radio Norfolk and he said 17 the headlines begin restaurants and suppliers are booming in Norfolk at Downing Street has dismissed President Trump suggestion the Boris Johnson's Bret's a deal would hinder further future trade arrangements with the us in sport we look ahead to the Rugby World Cup final on the next part of the program hearing from Norfolk's own Ben Youngs cloudy with early drizzle clearing a top temperature 15 Celsius 59 Fahrenheit and coming up I'll speak to the Conservative and Labor general election candidates from Norwich North that is the county's most marginal constituency that's coming up in just a moment after the latest travel. Which comes once again from Kate thanks Chris Yeah I've just seen the a 47. That's westbound is partially blocked at the moment traffic isn't looking really really bad it's going to add about 45 minutes on any time this morning it's due to an obstruction on the very day. $1243.00 which is Pastor valued to try to get more updates on that for the next hour there's a broken down vehicle blocking the at the moment that's the southbound car carriage way between and then you have the roundabout that's going to add about 10 minutes on your journey times well looking slow on the I 47 in the usual spots again heading back towards Great Yarmouth as you're heading in on a new road that's going to add at least 15 minutes on to your journey time. 10397321. On Saturday Breakfast this week I heard about the holiday camp for disabled children and their working dogs got. The where where and how the child did have a seizure children with diabetes what happened to life blood sugars we literally covered everything and we got a sneak peek at a new puppy born. You know this is a little baby Gomez these are large hairy armadillo baby born in Oregon they spend most of their time sleeping with them so they're pretty sharp joined testing the on Saturday Breakfast from 6 on b.b.c. Radio Norfolk your parts of the b.b.c. . Interesting to morrow morning here on b.b.c. Radio Norfolk This is Chris Core I'm sitting in for Nick Conrad the general election is fast approaching the smallest we're looking at the most marginal seat in Norfolk Norwich North is currently held by the conservatives with a majority of 507 who can speak in some of the constituents they're finding out about the issues that will be important to them when they vote watching the most important thing is the votes of the people that happen when we have a referendum on want to see that support all I hear in. A site it should have been done ages ago maybe now focus on stuff that needs to be focused on crime and other stuff I think for myself and. Being over in. They're really busy and people will be able to get a point in moments where the incumbent conservative m.p. Chloe Smith this week returned from maternity leave 1st right into an election campaign let's talk to a good morning thanks coming on the program and. Here we are then into another election campaign are you going to be campaigning mainly on local issues or is it going to be bricks it breaks it breaks it. Well for me it'll be a combination of issues and actually it's just like your listeners just said we've got to get bricks it done so that we can move on to other really important things like the n.h.s. Like our local schools like crime and those are things I certainly know are issues that constituents are spoken to me about international flavor over many years so for me it's a a blend of that that big national action that we've got to get done and be able to move past and then other things which are which are critically important to to people that I know that I represent a few years in that I have told me this many times and I'm under King forward to delivering for your party hasn't been able to get breakfast done for the past 3 years though has it so why is the future could be any different. Well what I would say is that actually what you've got is is a it's various people who've been trying to frustrate that goal and I would say that I've seen some of that behavior in parliament it is not this government's fault it is actually others who have tried their very hardest to stop and to lay bricks it and so I'm I'm actually quite glad that we are now in the position of an election because I think we have to stop this nonsense in the exam and I think that comes back around to people having the chance to elect a fresh parliament that can get that thing done and then come on to these other priorities your constituency that majority of 578 being talked about as one of the real marginal seats one of the key seats how up for the fight are you Carol as always always always and and although I mean you know shit fair so happily show the point that it's going to be a juggle coming back fresh from maternity leave I've I'm blessed with a wonderful family we've now got a 3 year old and a little baby who's only 6 months old but they're both just wonderful kids and happy and healthy and so I'm going to commit to both those things to my family and to my constituency and I'm doing the job I love and I certainly want to carry on doing that I think what I would say to people is that you can look at me and see and experience a member of Parliament I've been serving originals for 10 years now and the record of action that I've got there of being able to get stuff done for an orange speaks for itself and there's so much more to do so I'm really looking forward to getting stuck right in let me ask about one political rumors during the rounds of the moment Johnson There's talk that he could actually be moved to fight a different seat in the election one that some regard as a safer seat that we don't have a broad candidate for the Conservatives yet in North reportedly Peter de Tory source is not ruling out Johnson contesting a safer seat in Norfolk could we see Boris Johnson standing in Norfolk that to be an m.p. . I heard this one too I don't know if that's true or not but certainly o.b.o. It would be great fun to have him as a as a parliamentary neighbor but the point is this. Actually that what we need to do in Norfolk is have N.P.'s who work hard for our area I know that Boris Johnson would do that as well as being prime minister because he's very capable man but actually I'm focused on my own seat and what we need to do there is as your listeners have been saying focus on crime focus on schools you've got clear promises from the conservatives to do more in both of those areas already starting to see action actually for example 70 new police officers in Norfolk being recruited for next year and that's part of Boris Johnson's new new new pledge and part of our manifesto so those are important and for me the other local issues that I really want to be focusing on are jobs I want to continue minority for jobs projects and help get more people into work we've got to keep the economy strong to be able to do that I want to focus on the n.h.s. And later this morning I'll be visiting a g.p. Surgery that serves my constituency where I've helped get them into new premises so that I can carry on serving serving patients and there's a lot more still to do on transport for knowledge and to help people get around inside the city and connecting up elsewhere as well and there's more to do I think on the environment so I think we've got a real opportunity to do more about the quality of our air for example we're going to have an environment bill in parliament and as your Member of Parliament I want to link that up to local work where unfortunately in orange we have less good air quality than we should and I think that's the kind of thing you can expect your next m.p. To be doing Ok Also on the bridge dance in front of her you should heard the rumor it sounds like somebody nobody told you Stephanie not happening until now that I Oh I haven't I haven't got any more information than you have and are happy happy to happy to join you in the gossip on that but that as I say you know what you've got to do actually is is work for your own constituents and I'm absolutely sure that whoever the next conservative m.p. Is the broad wind will do that but crucially I will be doing that in Norwich North and I hope to continue an m.p. There thank you incumbent conservative m.p. Chloe Smith joining us live on b.b.c. Radio office morning those are just rumors at the moment about the. Johnson standing in Broughton is an e.d.p. This morning broad and doesn't have a candidate yet standing on the Tory ticket so I suppose and still until that happens that there may be some more rumors let's cross to Norwich North where we can meet the Labor candidate Karen Davis who's hoping to take the seat with our reporter Robbie West Yeah hi chris I'm here with current overseas the person who hopes to make Chloe Smith redundant when the election comes along and Karen joins me now Karen 1st we had close speak a lot of bricks they want to get back to that's their big message what do you feel about. Well they have 3 years to get it done and it was interesting that Kerry said that this wasn't the fault of the government but actually Bush Johnsonville it 3 times it gets about it Dale and all along they have had the numbers to push back. The parliament plainly can't get back sit down so it's time to put it back to the people we have what's your message what do you want to happen with the. We need to hold a referendum within 6 months of a Labor Government put it back to the people let the people decide and all of that decision so what's your message to try and win this you running on. Issues or is it local issues if you know what it's going to be but I think that 90 likely issues we've seen an awful lot of job losses in no wage. We've seen well but since Coleman's hate rice idea. Thousands of Jason secure jobs says a real problem with on to employment innovates. Specially was 0 hours contracts and there's also an issue with extreme poverty in certain areas we got 30 percent child poverty innovation oath and children killing outside food banks because it will be austerity is unacceptable emotional plans tackled. Well the plan is quite easy to talk about instead of the 2 always have given 110000000000 pounds worth of tax breaks to millionaires over the last 10 years we're going to reverse those tax cuts and we're going to have us austerity we have choice and one of the big concern is being tough on crime the 70 extra police officers in the for over the past few years what's life as Mr Crow was right we got 17 replaced officers but we've actually lost $339.00 place of certain places so since $22.00 and we're the only county in the whole of the country not to have any P.C.'s that is and I've seen especially in my wall on City Council an enormous rise in county lines activity things that are not helping that it's not being looked at by 2 always as a public health approach so there's all the drivers of of this inequality there's poverty with sharing the children centers we've got children being off from school who are vulnerable we've got care leavers who are being brought into this it's not just enough to put 70 extra place on the strays and each look at the drivers of face a lot of the things you're talking about big grand policy and so they can cost a lot of money how do you pay for tax rises or is that boring how how do you from them sort of pleasure so as I said we will be reversing the tax cuts to millionaires and large corporations but also it will be taxing the top 5 percent and as so that's anybody who's earning over $80000.00 pounds a year. And we are seeing the very much in the pipes today about power standing important and 1st what you make of that from minister possibly standing in the next constituency are often give us that good a prime minister he should start his own state fighting wealth and running a Whites one of the safest seats in the country or current will be standing in the election and we'll be following it's about 40 days Chris until that happens and I'm sure the lots of twists and turns on the whites of the polling station I'm sure they're all right here you are you still in my soul he thought was it this morning . No I moved away from there where I kept for a. Week told Rod and the ring stops to find some show to go. So a reporter story standing in the rain on a November morning is now thanks our political correspondent and of course over the next 40 days certain experience we will be visiting all of the constituencies are in Norfolk and giving you an idea of who you will be able to vote for come the big day in December and we'll have the fullest possible coverage for you on that here on b.b.c. Radio Norfolk It's now 829 the news headlines and like to sport with sound on the way in just a moment. But 1st though here's Kate Brewster with the travel Thanks Chris Yeah the a 47 in Great Yarmouth it heading westbound is partially blocked at the moment is an obstruction at the a 1243 past a road advocacy cueing traffic is heading right back in the past a retail park roundabout all the way back to Gholston that's going to add at least 35 minutes onto your journey time this morning so if you can avoid it in any way do so there's also broken down 40 at the moment which is currently blocking the southbound carriageway between taze But and you have no roundabout I can see traffic is heading back to New to flop and that's going to at least 10 minutes on your journey time I'm starting to look very slow what has been looking very slow through the street in pouring land as well if you're heading towards knowledge looking on the sensors I can see stationary traffic there for about 3 quarters of a mile which is adding about 15 minutes onto travel time also looking at a slow in the usual spots on the a $47.00 again as you head towards Great Yarmouth this time on new road that's going to add 20 minutes there at least if you can see anything you can update me safely the number to call 103897321. Radio he had my eyes Daniel Farkas philosophy but it may be time to mix things up I get the kind of d.n.a. In the philosophy of Mars City which I do stick to that by the way they're playing I just think sometimes you can't go to every game expect to start the front. Stock we can score goals feel your way into the game and I think there is almost try to Our think to school go on a game I think it is me to a little bit more clever in terms of short things up and get through the 1st 1520 minutes again. So when you feel in a way again so the cricket now and England have beaten New Zealand again this time by 7 wickets in Christchurch to start off the t 20 series James Vince impressed with 59 last caps in our in Morgan got an unbeaten 34 he was a bit hard on himself that I actually felt terrible I've been hearing the ball well like in the way on all last week and yesterday I had a terrible and today I wasn't happy at all but I'm glad I was there at the end so you didn't play well but you crushed the winning 6 flukey shots terms are they reckon it got the wind at the end. And the 2nd game of that t 25 match series is in Wellington on Sunday British former heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury has won his 1st wrestling match as beating from the. Beuys crown jewel of events in Saudi Arabia and finally the haymakers to this morning is out there whether the race is the number 11 at the full 10 this afternoon Shannon and Sophia spoke Chris some bright and tomorrow awful commentary here on b.b.c. Sussex a concert in Brighton every week this is their winning goal against Everton last Saturday and I think the commentator is so great bloke called Jonny canter and if you listen to this I think you summariser is Chewbacca from Star Wars you ready this is a obviously as it went out here we go to you know the trial saw you know go back across the. Jury. We are. Hearing. What you think. The thing that is Chewbacca that's brilliant or to be is to be fair he's got to be doing something else aside from the Star Wars and the thing you know what else does he do in his spare time what price in football club that's happening it's worth from Endora where every for a woman is cash Eek no no mine don't buy in and deciding it's from cash chic is his home planet but not so far from Earth that planet only a few pass excell light years away over to the Amex Stadium to watch Brighton vs Norrish but I think Chewbacca is going to have a disappointing trip from from cash ache this Saturday because let's hope your city can get those 3 points and there will be focusing on the rugby as well thanks very much Sam Some day we will you support the Smalling and you will be there live tomorrow afternoon of course from 2 o'clock on b.b.c. Radio Norfolk your weather is Elizabeth scene it's a misty mark a mild start to the day there are some outbreaks of rain around as well though pushed their way north east regional tend to dry out through the afternoon Mickey. Perhaps a bit upright with fairly mild all day with highs at 15 degrees and then there's more rain in the forecast various 3 this evening some of that rank it tended to be quite heavy after that clays the winds will strengthen a few nights not very windy day and still tomorrow the details in half an hour thanks so much Elizabeth Rick Seaney We'll call on Chris Cormac breakfast with her until 10 o'clock and we're asking this morning whether Norfolk has got a rugby fever because in just 24 hours time and wind will be about to start the Rugby World Cup final against South Africa it's a 9 o'clock kick off our time because the match is in Japan one of the key players and if I think one's best performance at this World Cup has been the scrum half Ben Youngs who is from Norfolk we've been following his career for a number of years here on b.b.c. Radio frequencies 95th cap but some more of this is what he's had to say ahead of playing in a world cup final because you know you see a lot of messages from a live person who says somebody out of the stands to watch it just right. And what have you just mention notation is very excited about changing laws this week so. You know we're building to a we we wish to approach it as much as we know that and where is it is only thought is. Often far from the table and you know we think we need. More of this through. This week now for more hours for all we have. To. Do is. You know on the last confrontation. In terms of getting. A face. You're still an engine he is getting. Into the house. And his worth. From all. We can. Say. Is one. Spend young cos we're very proud of him in Norfolk he went to Gresham school in Holt got his old coach on the line now Richard Briley Good morning Richard good morning you know you'll be proud when you win you watching the World Cup final tomorrow and there's one of your all charges wearing number 9 for England extremely proud yes he's done wonderfully well and very much looking forward to the game when you 1st met him and 1st started coaching him did you know you had somebody special there in a rugby sense I'm going back to $998.00 around then and the thing about Ben right from the beginning was that he had to respect takeoff speed over 5 metres and it was exceptional and his change of direction was one of the key things he was a very good all round sport not just a rock. You know County hockey player good cricketer terrific. Athlete and still wholesome school records. So it was the all round thing with him but rugby was his 1st love along with his brother Tom who was also at school because their dad played for England as well and when you have a parent who has played professionally and played at the top level that that can go one of the way sometimes to sort of fade away from the sport and don't want to kind of big being their father shadows but because he is that a play for England he must have thought well we'll have a look at this lad he might make he might be something special. Well we always thought there was something in the genes but Nick. Burns dad was always terrifically supportive encouraged both the boys to join in all sorts of sporting activities. He was in many ways. A brilliant parent as far as I was concerned and Simon well who also coached then. And a very good friend of mine. But Nick was very very good at just keeping in the background and encouraging him as I say not not interfering but he made sure that there were plenty of opportunities for so both Tom and Ben and how much of an inspiration is it now aggressions do you think to be able to say to the lads who are at school there look we've had somebody here who's done this and is now playing for England in a World Cup final and that must be such a great thing to be able to say to people at the school now yeah absolutely brilliant I mean the thing that Simon and I used to still do taught boys about is how Ben practiced a lot his break times you naturally went out onto the fails with a ball was good a group of boys around him and had little to touch rugby games that sort of thing. He had a huge amount of natural talent then also worked extremely hard it all the basic skills of the game and it's all proved very worthwhile as you can see you know he runs out for England in the number down Jersey in the morning doesn't it just in terms of a wider question in England doing well in the Rugby World Cup What do you think that could mean for young people in the country and in Norfolk and taking up the sport because that that's what you'd like to see I'm sure. Very much I mean everything that I've seen and heard it the World Cup in in Japan all the people that have been out certainly enjoyed it. I think a lot of the players you know. Going to come back and go out into the clubs and meet lots of youngsters. So hopefully on the back of the Will Cup success which we're all hoping for. You know more and more people boys and girls will will play rugby. You know it's it's an exciting time for rugby in a time when we need to sort of you know use this momentum to 3 of. The local rugby club hold you know who also played a big part in Ben's early career you know they're very excited about the whole game tomorrow and another good adventure on starting early in the morning and we celebrate them last as they head of the semifinal and they were excited about that once again as well as can be like for the final which you took me through your Saturday morning it's a 9 o'clock kick off so that's got to be factored into everybody's retain what are you going to be doing. I'll be getting up you know it terms of I think the coverage starts. So that I will be watching it with my family. I tend to you know like to stay home for these occasions which are fairly new I have to say. You know and really looking forward to seeing it we've got some family coming up from London as well so I'm looking forward to the occasion you're nervous watching the know you Richard. A little bit on this occasion you know I mean England if they perform last Saturday you know I would definitely take to win always slightly concerned with the South Africans that they certainly put is a one off performance but I'm confident. And wouldn't it be great not quite this time tomorrow but by lunchtime tomorrow to be able to say I'm Richard Perle and I coach the World Cup when. They would be absolutely magnificent I mean the whole thing with with then has been wonderful he's always been very gracious and he's come back to the school a number of times since. He left school and helped with coaching he's talked to the boys and as far as I was concerned one of the great things when I actually retired last year Ben and Tom spoke at the final speech day and mark what was a wonderful occasion for me so yeah I held the young family in very very high esteem I missed a whole school records he was saying as well as quite impressive. Then was a terrific sprint a good long jumper. As I say he owns also the linchpin and a very good really nice quote we had and some of those records I think is still standing but you know as a youngster he was very much you give it all in whatever sport he was doing you know it wasn't just just wrote the Although as I said that was his main love and when he wrote when he played for questions and indeed so old as a youngster. Opposition used to arrive and shut it when he was you know still in our teams. You can imagine so sickly he wasn't he was not a big boy but he was speed was the key to his success success cry stuff Richard thanks very much Rich Briley from Gresham school and they taught Ben Youngs who still hold several school records which is quite something I want to anyone listening to us this morning who can say I held or still hold a school record and some sports not make certain they are 803897321 you can text 813 couple 3 Start a message with the word Norfolk it's Chris Core I'm sitting in for Nick Conrad is now 846. Preschool on b.b.c. Cambridge that thanks Chris Yeah I'm afraid it's looking pretty heavy out there on the roads across the. Pound is partially blocked at the moment past a road traffic is currently came from the past roundabout back. Which is adding at least 25 minutes on your journey all other routes in this area suffering as a result of this as well particularly. As you head towards the. Particularly heavy this morning. And down towards. Around 20 minutes I haven't quite got the bottom of why. It's around that area and look pretty bad. Is suffering quite a lot as well as a lane closure on the outer ring road that's been in place for quite some time now because of road works as you head down from the sweet industrial estate towards the roundabout that 10 minutes this morning if you know. 109-7321. On Sunday breakfast this week I heard how the Benjamin foundation helps young people across our county if you haven't had. A lot of our young people don't have that I don't have that family around them even up to the age of 16 to give you those launch skills and tell you how to manage your money how to cook food. And why the festival of Deval is so much more than boxing candles a message from to volley is to light up the lamps to take away the darkness from the dark days which are approaching but also to celebrate. Love and friendship within family friends and the community for more stories like those Join me and me on this Sunday morning from 6 here on b.b.c. Radio Norfolk your part of the b.b.c. . North City you're off to Brighton tomorrow the club has just announced a big coming to Kemah road in. The ground on Friday the 19th of June as part of their 15 stay. Summer. Mean the studio waving his lighter above his head. City's chief operating officer Ben cancel listening to a bit of Westlife their tickets go on sale next week if you know it's the season ticket holder you'll be able to get them a day early but then let's talk about this thanks for coming in this morning Westlife at Carrow Road is big news for the club this isn't it yeah it's big news you certainly play some classics there and if. It's a great it's a great gig for us to get especially on the back a take that take that was a phenomenal success here at a club so we wanted something that mirrored that we think everyone can take that would probably come to a gig like Westlife So we're really pleased to secure them tell me what goes into making this happen because presumably you have to be quite careful and quite thorough in terms of what sort of actually get it Carol wrote and what sort of acts would draw a big crowd yeah there is actually an incredible amount of work that goes into trying to secure a lot of negotiating that goes on from quite far. So that process begins basically from about my own words and there are many many acts that routes around the country so we try and pick and choose the ones that we believe and work with our demographics accordingly say and then it's about negotiate the best deal for the club and the dates are always tricky because we obviously stop life were made and then we have a finite period of time where we can fit concerts on the pitch you know that's what the biggest challenge is not your fault will come 1st and foremost so you've got to look and act who is touring at the right time is probably voted probably got 2 or 3 week period of it yeah that's the tricky part and then you've got to try and negotiate the best terms to make your voice the as much money as you possibly can to then give back to the footballing side to reinvest in the squad yeah your football club so tell me why it's important to have a fence like this so over the summer Carol road well I think we've got to commercialize the business as much as we can as a self finance club but we also want to give something back and I think it's a venue that sits there we don't want to just use it sort of $25.00 times a year we want to use it a lot more than that so we've got that infrastructure already and in place but from from our perspective gigs concerts of that sort of level it's fantastic for the city and for the for the Norfolk region East Anglia in general for people to be out to come and see acts like this like take and I'm working on a few of us as well so watch this space on that side of it if you want us for next year yes absolutely we've got about a month period to work to work with as many as we can so we want to host as many as we can but we're delighted to announce Westlife and we think that will that will sell out and we think they'll be a great great night on the on the one think that when you're giving out the grounds where at the moment none and if anything Gary's Gary's a you know a great guy and wants to work with us from that perspective Well I know exactly what he needs to produce a pitch that Daniel needs for for the start of the season so yeah it's not from ticket wise I mentioned it actually you've got a bit of an advantage here if you're a North City season ticket holder have yes season ticket holder members they actually secured a presale window not. Always easy with with x. Because they generally like their tickets to go on sale at the similar time to the to the general audience but we managed to secure a presale that means that any member or any 2000 to go to competitors before on Thursday and then it goes on genocide on Friday and I think it's about giving something back and it's hopefully giving people the opportunity they want to come to come 1st and what have you learned from previous events in terms of making these things even better at Carrow Yeah I mean I think the actor was put on a good show operation he was sound we know what we're doing now we're becoming an established concert venue we need to work on some of our disabled kind of facilities and functions and ways of doing things so we're taking that in house as well as our hospitality so his hospitality but we're also taking on the disabled element of our of our business to be able to really streamline that because there were some challenges in the past and what I would say is that you know West Life is where his favorite so a friend of mine stands favorites so you know I've picked out picked it based on the on stew its recommendations are I would outsider it's not really his favorite It really is this is a this is an exclusive for you to do it's crazy on Wesley's So next time I speak to Weber if I say to him are your big Westlife and he's going to accept that as you know absolutely not to alter or anything it's a fact honestly or I will play that to him and we'll see what he has to say about it bent Bing tomorrow of course we had when Westlife come it'll still be a Premier League round of knowledge you need to get some points on the board how you feeling about this one to my well. As always very very positive about it I'm actually heading down today to meet with brought in kind of executives and things like that so all of us to be seeing their stadium and visiting them today but but no always positive and I think the last time we're on the road again it's born with we put up a really really good performance and probably deserved to win that game so. Same performance if not a little bit better and you know this there's every chance that we can win that game and we'll have to say. Yeah but with your nervous water as well we just had Ben Youngs is our old coach on saying that he just wants to watch games by himself because he's nervous you don't have the option to you in the direct box now but we watch in a very very positive so white because you know we're really confident with the abilities that we've got and the unity that we've got in the team in the same direction so there's no reason why we can't get that win that we need thanks for joining us Ben tensile chief operating officer of trip to Brighton and Westlife on in the car no doubt all the way down absolutely fantastic if they reply Oh yeah we've got them all they just are what with Richie on the way out he's got Policy days I think he's suffering from an overdose of key changes this morning after putting all that together for us thanks Ben better counsel from their City Football Club great to have him in the studio this morning very pleased to see what the Web walking into the room now because our main story this morning actually what should just remind us life Friday the 19th of June next year next year tickets go on sale next week and for season ticket holder you can get in slightly earlier and I was back and I'm really Please tell you Wally fellow. One was a couple of hours ago but you have been talking about world week in day I sent you a challenge going to Norfolk and have a 6 Item Reagan breakfast because people always say when you're making you miss bacon sandwiches you mean you kind of bacon and eggs that's one of the big challenges you don't give too much away but are you feeling no rush to feeling happy with the Beacon breakfast you've had. You know yeah reason reason to be satisfied reasonably satisfied but you know. I could have had a very expensive one. Ball in the end I opted for a more reasonable one Ok will be your adventures after 9 o'clock Ok how much for challenge was it because when you think about British you go Schumaker legs are kind of out of those needs cereal and milk you'll be careful what sort of milk you have. Tried various outlets and some places could have had salads are could have as salad roll and whatever the are around the variety wasn't it was one of the. Would tailor make whatever I wanted and then I found a place that's only been open 3 don't use that that offered a nice alternative but we'll hear that after 9 o'clock Yeah the idea that this is the thing is we can all eat big and but it's the idea that if it's breakfast and you're hungry really wants me a salad roll just doesn't do. Those There was one place that the 1st place I went to in actual fact when I said Oh you do all the takeaway some which is you do very good no you're got to be good options where are the you know the the empty shelves because have not arrived yet are still with but that can be a problem here well you're looking well on it so you have the signs are promising but will play his full report after the news at 9 o'clock this morning find out how well you have got on when we sent him out for a vegan breakfast in or for the challenge was to have 6 items because I think that makes a decent breakfast and it all be very consumer play that too often I also want to hear from you if you've got rugby fever we've been previewing the world cup final because we got a north boy playing in it tell me what your plans are how you building in a Rugby World Cup final to your Saturday where are you watching it because if it was England football in the World Cup final you would have flags on cars you would have all sorts of other things and it doesn't quite seem to be happening with the rugby Why is that how has it caught your imagination do you think there are lots of things that other sports could learn from rugby if we really enjoyed watching it tell me what Norfolk is going to look like tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock when Ben Youngs and Co go for well Cup glory of 803-8973 see one he can send me a text or 3 double 3 Start your message with the word Norfolk we want to know where the Norfolk has got World Cup fever at 24 hours exactly before the World Cup final . This could restore the travel Thanks Chris Great Yarmouth a 47 best planned about westbound has eased somewhat but still looking a bit slow if you're heading towards the past a retail park roundabout that's going to add at least 15 minutes onto your journey time this morning everything is every ass live the usual delays. On the a 47 if you're heading in on a new road towards great while adding about 20 minutes in noise the user delays on the Outer Ring Road as you head down from. Towards the roundabout that's at least 10 minutes there if you can update me 10397321. Thanks very much b.b.c. Radio Norfolk This is Chris Core I'm sitting in for. Thank you. I will talk live in the next part of the program after the latest b.b.c. Radio News at 9 with Lucy Lightfoot Thanks Chris good morning as the main political policies launch their election campaigns attentions turning to some of the key marginal seats here in Norfolk the most closely fought is likely to. The Norwich North currently held by the conservatives with a majority of 507 Here are some of the constituents that and the impact Hooten to she's to them I think the most important thing is the votes of the people that happened when we had the referendum on want to see that supported all I hear and there's as Brooks express a psych it should have been done ages ago I maybe now focus on stuff that needs to be focused on high crime and other stuff I think for myself and sushi please being over you know that there are really busy and people be able to get a point mints.
