Yes you very much does and I think it's a really valuable piece of work and very timely what we have seen is significant growth in passenger numbers I think the number of factors in that obviously over the last few years trying to become more frequent the more good value fares about than was previously the case more flexibility in chief. And it's become generally across the network with being realistic a much more convenient and a more attractive option for people plus road to being at a congested and I think also the fact that. People are wanting to sort of to travel in the more sort of an environmentally friendly friendly mode and I think that that is having a little effect said it very much does tally and this is now a timely thing to to look at what we need to do going forward because once we do have a completely new trains coming in which is great and that will bring in more capacity over time there is a risk that if we don't see upgrade to the right infrastructure then we will start to get to a point in sort of 15 to 25 years time where the network starts to get full. So what sort of improvement do you need to be made to deal with these numbers I mean I know some people want more more lines but of the chance it's never going to happen I'm going to take back all the truck beds in and put back all the lines that were taken up 50 years ago so we can't really be a massive increase in the number of lines available so what can be done to cope with these extra number of people using the train service so the report that Network Rail it helpfully done. Is targeting some some interventions along the main line because it is specifically focused on the greatest main line between knowledge and hundreds and thousands for that intervention will make a difference to enable more trains to run infrastructure day that growth and those are what you need to provide some loops to allow or fast faster trying to get past slower trained a number of those particularly in the area between chemtrails culturist in Essex are probably 3 separate locations in that part of the world where you need to make sure looks you go in you need to put in the next track at the junction just north of Stowmarket where the line across to came we can take a divergence from the main line up to the ridge and that will also give you some extra faster and better reliability as well and then looking forward and thinking about why did you join us from Norfolk out west as well as found to London you need to do some work in the area of Crouse bridge just outside knowledge of cities is a single track bridge again that's an area which in the future companies can become a bit of a bottleneck so that's helpful identified some of the key things and the final thing will be also getting some digital signalling in because if you put that in that allows more trains to run safely at shorter headway so at the moment the 3 minute safely between trains on the mainline you could run trains 2 minutes behind each other safely if you have digital signalling So those are all projects that identify the next step now is for the all of us in the taskforce who've been involved in over the last few years getting the investment towards new trains now focusing on the effort on getting those kind of projects funded with with more. With more infrastructure added So the challenge for us now that building a business case and then getting ever to rally behind it to get government support Yes I mean it does come down to that doesn't the government and there is only so much money available and there's every single part of the country I'm sure says that they are the ones that particular need investment in their particular area of the railway So the government not to turn I say well you had you that you got the new trains you had your money for the bits and pieces so you know you had all the money giving it for this part of the world for now I mean how confident are you can make the case the government in that they will listen. Very confident but as you say it's not going to be easy so the challenge is exactly as you set out which is that everyone everywhere around the country will be fighting for the fans of course what we've got to do is make the compelling case as to why you think there's different I think there are a number of reasons that I think we clearly one of the few regions in the country that makes a positive contribution to the economy overall we have a proper contribution to gross domestic product that's not true of many regions actually if you put your investment in here that brings more premium and money back to government to invest back in other things in other parts of the rail network as well as ours so you get some real benefit from it and I think it's a region we have a lot to offer it's a fabulous father world work we have all the benefits of a beautiful region with lots of innovative businesses but also you know quite close to London you know in fact you know the data 90 management on the mainland into May as well so so I think as a region we do have some quite distinctive characteristics that do make a really strong case to government both financially and for the future that actually justify why our region merits that investment over there and what we've got to do to keep on making it because it can be effective if you know if you went back to the back to 22 when 1st started collaborating together as Norfolk's of kinetics we wouldn't benefit is that we would pull off the sort of the fate of getting a complete train fleet replacement which is you know which is fantastic and start to roll out in the months ahead so actually I think it is about that keeping that really cracked approach being focused and I think it will take time that we may well be phased but I think if we keep that sort of unity of purpose we very much can get further investment in and their main line which will benefit the whole region and able is to make the most of the new trains as well I just find it very briefly Jonathan are you concerned that if you don't get the investment that your services won't eventually be able to take the strain. And we were contacted because the police at the scene. Believed that there was had been a problem with the car in that the wheels were not secured on the vehicle. They're the car shop the car shops Ltd did an independent report and identified that it was highly likely that the vehicle had left their premises the previous day with the wheel not spinning tightened properly on the vehicle we therefore got involved because there was a suggestion that they'd sold a road where the vehicle and in fact there what transpired doesn't bear thinking about being in that situation and luckily in this case no one was hurt but I suppose it's just luck Absolutely yes it could have been really serious consequences for the poor lady involved very luckily that didn't happen but it meant that we wanted to look at how it happened and what the company had done to make sure it didn't happen. Or investigation showed that actually there'd been a similar incident earlier in the year and quite rightly the company had looked at their processes to make sure it wouldn't happen again but in our view during the investigation we deemed that they had actually taken the nuff care and put in enough processes to make sure that it didn't happen again so Noble County Councils Trading Standards team decided to pursue this and it went to court today can you tell us what happened. So the car shops Ltd pleaded guilty and so therefore today it was the sentencing hearing at the magistrate's court and the magistrates find the company over $6000.00 pounds and also gave costs awarded costs to the Trading Standards Department and are you satisfied with that fine I am satisfied with the farm I believe that it was in very important that we took the case to the magistrate's court to demonstrate that companies do have a duty to their customers and they must make sure that they sell products that are safe and that they can demonstrate to customers and to regulators that they are following procedures that make sure that products they do sell are safe and what should people listening to this who think they might have been in a similar situation or have a problem with a product that they would like you to carry out an investigation in what should they do. Which is a specific tax around companies that have a revenue of more than $750000000.00 euros which about $670000000.00 pounds and with at least $25000000.00 euros of revenue generated in France so this if you like an example would be where Google advertising is generating a certain amount of revenue in France they want a tax take of that is 3 percent they believe it would raise 421400 1000000 euro so not an inconsiderable amount of money the problem with it is essentially. The way the global taxation system works we try not to tax the same operations twice So essentially if there's an American company the Americans tax it and their operations abroad they bring profits back to the U.S. And they get taxed in America however it doesn't particularly suit or globalized world and it doesn't suit the sort of borderless. Commerce that's going on from the tech companies and you know every country around the world is grappling with this because of course for your home grown companies that are still in the these areas that are being very heavily disrupted by the Amazons the Googles the Facebook's you know that they're getting taxed in the ordinary way that's a retail store on the high street does so where this goes will be very interesting is the sort of thing that there may be retaliation from the U.S. Government which I'm not particularly happy about it because it does tend to pull into the net American companies more than others because of course they lead the way in individual service companies want to keep an eye on as you say and finally for today speaking of retaliation and trade war. That that's a good point actually and something I might raise because when we look at these ratings easier they were very good now but you know I sense in 12 months or social media and also what comes in my inbox are things still do go wrong so we need to really on out the rough spots and and yes make it better maybe we should bring in an excellent category but that's for the C.A.A.
