It's the biggest gaming industry probably issue in the Bobet We'll find out later on exactly what they mean by the crunch and do remember in an hour's time we'll open up the phone lines for a Monday morning grab of phoning away game back in Greenwich Mean Time to the words and phrases we no longer use or what the words of phrases that you no longer use you can text me not 85 or 5 or e-mail up would not have b.b.c. Dog code at uco of course join us now is time on the phone 180-859-0969 extension 3 So Liz Hamilton has become the most successful ever British for new arm racing driver and here's how it happened. But it's Lewis Hamilton that all I turn to you because Sebastian That's all when but as crosses the line as he does do you know how fickle cannot now finish in the top 2 and that means that Lewis Hamilton as he makes his way down towards the stadium section for the final time course up behind Kevin Magnussen is going to be winning his 4 World Championship title he exits the forest all baseball stadium in the heart of the Mexico City sec it rounds the final corner only once this season is he finished outside of the top 5 now make that twice with a nice place finish but it doesn't matter because Lewis Hamilton is a 4 time for me a one world champion a night placed in a dramatic Mexico City finale makes him the most successful British Formula One driver of all side how will turn a 4 time world champion puts his head in his hands shakes his head looks down towards his lap one hand on top of his helmet now rests the 2 of them up on top of the steering wheel as if he was cruising along in a road and continues to shake his head in a way to the crowd. Commentating mags with staff of. The. Lose how much his 9th place with his nose ties with Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel unable to finish in the talk to that was enough to give him the 2007 he jumped ship his 4th after the race lose how was his boat to the former driver David Coulthard. Well I just want to say a big thanks to everyone that came out to support us I think I hope we gave him a good race today the Mexican fans are the best I think I've seen around the world want to see you know get to see this everywhere so you know we've got great fans around the world but this is you guys really create this atmosphere so big thank you man I did everything I could had a good start and. I don't already know what happened at 13 but again plenty of room but I tried as. The comeback and I'm just a big thank you to. My family my team my STTNG have been incredible for the last 5 years and I'm so proud to be a part of it. You've had time to think about the championship this is mean more than the previous 3 know you're in an elite club of only 5 men that ever cheat I mean the records. Say it doesn't feel real man I mean obviously that's not the kind of rights that I want. When you're 40 seconds behind of something but you know I never gave up and that's really I guess what's important to my heart. I can't go right to the end I'm grateful for. Today and I want to put it up to my family and to God and as I said my thing. Well I've been getting reaction to the championship victory for most of racing writes a formula for you on correspondent for The Times Kemeny said it wouldn't be Lewis if there wasn't a bit of drama let's be honest he likes to play sometimes does need to remember his 1st title he had to get 5th place to win when the very 1st championship did it on the last lap and won the chairmanship by a single point so this one's actually bit of a cakewalk for him well a cakewalk. He almost didn't win the championship this time of all just explain the drama for the sitting Yeah sure Sebastian Vettel who of course is the man had a chance of taking it from him qualified postmarks to stop and. I had next to him so really was you know was going to happen at the start we had already won calamitous start the season involving that allowed this to happen and sure enough for Stepan of he went into the distance and Lewis let him take 2nd place but Vettel just poor old 'd Lewis got a puncture was last by quite a distance and has then had to do all the catching up similarly Sebastian was about 2 from the back and he also had to get. To get 2nd place to have any chance of keeping it alive in the end it was just beyond Sebastian and Louis managed to get a place and it was a rescue this thing done tonight where you will know that some people perhaps on graciously. About. The Championship away. I don't think you can make that judgment you know it's very difficult for people to understand what it's like sitting in a Formula One car driving it meant speeds that cause all around you when decisions are made in fractions of fractions of seconds you know and no driver wants to put in the race which is what he could actually have done it was one of those things 3 cause all going for the same corner and you know. In the end it costs about much more than it cost Lewis is the end of the day with these charges. Absolutely I think he is the driver of his generation by some distance and I think the statistics slightly say it's I mean he's now for John Champion he's now one more races than any British driver is only actually now behind Michael Schumacher he's had Walpole positions than any other driver. You know statistically but I think we also have to say something about what he's done for the sport because I wrote a piece of the Sunday Times this warning in an interview with his father and his father points that you know without Lewis. Is the great personality Formula One. You know every everybody around the world knows who live with you is how much it is can walk down a street in New York and recognize l.a. In the recognised in Tokyo in Hong Kong. Probably know as a Formula one driver can a very strange sportsman can in fact. It goes beyond the statistics so to get that not totally get the fact is a celebrity beats on the track. Name is the end it's on the track where he's the the expectation I suppose the excitement of the one is just seems to garner. Around him he seems to be the one that adds a little bit of. Spice since he says without him if he's not in a raise then what's supposed almost but he's a guy we talk about his name because that will say something do something make something happen. In just is an amazing personality I see that also shortens an eye on him winning the b.b.c. Sports personality the 2nd time you know I wouldn't yak secular deserve it because as I say he has raised singlehandedly raise the profile of a sport as well as dominating it in a way that. You know very few people dominate the sport and the other point I would make is you know Formula One I hear people all the time belittling Formula one is not a real sport lots of stuff but I would say one thing we damn good at it you know we're more Mowbray strivers than from any other country and one world championships in 10 drivers and 17 World Championships adjoins and now we're damn good at Form a lot so support it not knock it and is Lewis Hamilton the premier into power is a mug's British fully one driver is easy the great is great to see Anonymous with Formula one now but once upon a time it was you know Stirling Moss is name that was synonymous with a grand prix racing in Jim Clogg going back to the old days Graeme Hill Jackie Stewart of cause one of 3 times among some of things is he Gray said a lot of those. It's like trying to compare now though and Pele isn't it there's no way of really knowing because unless they were sitting in the same car the same race where we have you know every year is different and we can make a scary strong case of Jim Clark and a lot of drivers would say Jim Clancy greatest. Jackie Stewart would say that but Sterling lost and many people will know and like Lewis you know transcend it is Sterling thinks that Lewis is the grace of so you know that's a that's a pretty good recommendation I would say. Kevin Neeson their motor racing right show Formula One correspondent for The Times as well foreman he was in any case. Some of you may remember last hour we had a cracking commentary from our intrepid baseball at the Minute Maid Park saved him of the Sanat Seth Bennett in calling Paterson tonight it's the 5th game of the baseball World Series said head that he had a cracking 1st innings is. Simply. Him and it was like it's all about the things that they're. Ok says Schober get out for say the line is for over he will be able to get better lines to both you and Colleen very shortly and pick up a what's been happening at that crucial World Series match now mean about gaming as you know is the biggest entertainment industry in the world with worldwide profits more than double that of the film industry believes vast rewards come at a heavy price for the people developing middle ages must have games in the industry that's known as the crunch which is a sudden escalation in unpaid overtime that can last for weeks on end work Jason Shah is the news editor at the gays website could talk you and the author of Blood Sweat and pixels the triumphant turbulent stories behind. How video go Jason good morning hello Don It's good to be here thank you well we all understand when people have to pull all nighters to get an important product or projects ready in any business in fact in any industries how is this one different you know and I would I would say they're pulling in occasional matter can be exhilarating it can be good for you almost But you know in the video game industry people do it for weeks on end people do it for months and I've heard of stories where a game is so far behind that they have to have people come in until 12 in the morning for literally 6 months on and sometimes 6 sometimes 7 days a week it gets pretty radical and it's just been this systemic issue in the videogame industry for as long as there has been a video game industry because if they have enough people who are called video games and what's the reason we are a crunch or a block as it were I think I think the biggest reason is that making video games is very very difficult and scheduling for video games is very difficult because you could spend a month on a feature and it sounds pretty good when you start working on it but then after a month of working on it you find out oh it's actually not that fun to big of a controller and play this thing so you can find yourself way far behind way way behind schedule and not where you need to be which often leads to expending in lots of extra time at the office it's become this kind of cultural necessity almost and there are some video game companies out there that are trying to eliminate crunch because everybody recognizes or most people recognize how bad it is but sometimes it's the it becomes as voluntary thing where let's say I am a designer working on a game and I am working on this really cool feature that I'm really excited about I'm going to make Mario jump extra this time if I so want to stay an extra late to put in the extra polish on that feature then the guy next to me looks like a total jerk. If he leaves at 7 pm so he made feel obligated to stay and it becomes this whole cultural issue where everybody just feels obligated to stay late a huge seriously saying to the look at the video games that we play you know like Dungeons and Dragons I'm sure we're all playing noticed oh. Well my generation. Are you saying that a lot of the people who create a half asleep when they do you I think so yeah and I think that it's harder to find a game that's made without some level of crunch than it is to me find one that is made with it I think that it's more common to have I would say you at an average studio you might have crunch periods before big deadline so it might be right before the game is about to ship they are off to crunch for a few weeks or a couple of months where they're just working nonstop at some studios It may be well we crunch Monday Wednesday Friday but we won't crunch Tuesday if there is a to make it easier for people so people have these systems in place where they they may try to mitigate it in some way but it's very very prevalent it's just everywhere I believe the sad I don't know the number offhand but I believe it was close to half of studios that were polled in a survey a couple of years ago said that they crunched and have the other part that said that they didn't crunch they are they admitted chunk of that about a 3rd of that number and made it to working long extra hours that they just didn't call Crunch So it really is a big systemic issue there is a serious health issue and underlining all of this is that yeah there is and you know I think that there are people out there who are anti crunch advocates who have argued fairly I believe that crunch actually makes video games worse because you might wind up working if you're working a 16 hour shift at the end of the day you might be causing more bugs then you would have if you were working normally hours because you're bleeding eyed and exhausting and and exhausted and you're putting in all this code that may not work properly and then you come in the next morning and suddenly you find you have to crunch again because. Just to fix all of the bugs you left in the night before so it becomes a never ending vicious cycle and it's just it's something that I think some people there's become there's been a growing voice of advocates who are trying to fight against this practice and talk as if you will just through the trajectory of creating a video game I imagine starts like a movie reasonably to some crazy idea who writes a narrative All right it might start with a crazy idea it might start off and it starts with with a gameplay hook it might start with a lot of times it's that are now ongoing series because just like the movie industry the videogame industry is fold with filled with any series Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed uncharted and the. First Person Shooter that's the call of duty seriously as a right yes you do so there are a lot of so if I'm working on the next Call of Duty that might be planned 34 years in advance and we might say Ok this time we're going to take the call of duty the next call to game space and it's going to be you're going to be shooting people in space and then so it might start there and then the team might start planning out the scope and planning out a schedule and figuring out what they're going to make work but here's what might happen let's say I want to take this Call of Duty game to space and I want to add a jet pack this time and this game this idea so cool in my head a couple months later I got this jet pack finally working in a prototype and then my computer and it's actually not that far and I have to rework the whole thing I have to cut the idea completely so there might be so much wasted time because of the nature of game development which just requires so much more iteration and has so many more kind of x. Factors or unknown quantities to it then pretty much any other media. It sounds like a lot of fun actually about I don't know some way of well nobody would love the crowded power of a particular If it goes on for 6 months already the mother can anything be done to alleviate this part of the process I think so I think that it needs to stop or start from the top down because I think it's the executive level at these big publishers where they expect certain things they expect certain things to be able to be done within 2 or 3 years and if those things can only be done when the crunch then that people on time need to recognize that that's a problem I'm a little bit worried because I actually hear all these stories about veteran game developers who burn out of the industry and go find something more lucrative and something more or less less stressful in another field and there's actually it's difficult to find numbers on this but there is a widespread worry that too many veteran game developers have burnt out and there's just a lack of this dearth of experience across the industry so it is it is something that is a problem and I really don't think it's sustainable in the video game industry and I hope that people can find some way to to eliminate it has been fascinating as we can to make Thank you very much hopefully we'll get you back Jason on one of these things special and leisure all noises made because of your colleague of ours here who's a gaming free come he's a grown man you would expect to spend his time playing goes with there you go yes yes well so if anyone is interested I actually wrote blood's one pixels as you mentioned before it just came out in the u.k. a Couple weeks ago it's all about making games and the process and how difficult it is so check that out you clearly are you teenager. Let's leave it there so much. Blood sweat pixels the triumph of turbulent stories beyond our video games have made is his book Ok let's try again to go back to Houston Texas the arena of the Houston Astros in the 5th game of the baseball World Series you start it started about an hour ago I believe a Minute Maid Park in South Bend contacts another for us said goodbye. We had were saying well gee thanks I think you'd be Ok and I am leaving by going to my thinking it's you said those who enjoy swimming in the 1st innings was going to go by the big banks and I thank you for the screen. Shot straight she was from l.a. You would like to me it's only a lab or memo advice she's been smoldering for the bosses Well I managed to pick up a couple of bolts in that 1st innings and since she was in the back seat and it really is if you were 56 in the stadiums it might not be quite the party atmosphere that we have 24 hours ago used the fans were very very much tonight wanting to get over last night's defeat and it didn't look at all so much for watching losing 3 runs in the 1st innings but we have seen so many things we're talking about already no one but 2 presidents of the United States of America which combines for the 1st page of the ceremonial 1st pitch a World Series games and it was George Bush Jr George Bush Sr the 41st and 43rd presidents the national anthem was sung by country stars solution called a walk us special one for a speech she would be lonely lonely we thought was one of the better half brandishing of the National unsuccessful snakehead the high notes while the others are going to go do it now you would enjoy that folks I know so we've come to really love the Houston Astros skull and the alien discourse green skull contain I find it's cold add or pics on 2 nights we've already seen you know dancing to claim other stars I was a kid so I could go to our lodger climb the ladder unfurled a banner saying Make some noise and they groan went absolutely ballistic. And I don't the mannish actually do a better analysis for you I managed to bump into the man who was pitching for the Houston Astros last night. Charlie Morton he pitched 6 in the 3rd innings last night you go 7 strikeouts you only let one run office by Ching So this is a man who knows his stuff so I got him to tell us about tonight's picture there's the man on the mind at that. Good moments we'll be hearing from him but also Clayton Kershaw always pitching for the l.a. Dodgers one of the the best pictures of his generation has heard the term I'm in the states he's a 7 time all star he's a 3 time Cy Young winner but the man on the moment that we can see pitching at the moment is called that Dallas County Calif and he is also a sign young went up so here is Charlie Moore the Houston Astros but showed telling us about tonight's pitchers starting with that was kind. Of great that you. Could do but I think that he's been huge for the city and you know you got to keep that cycles porn around here the same as a big orange bong in the other movies all right he's a star here the whole movie did he get his own corner I mean. He's one of the you a matter for me to be able to get to be here try to bring Texas the series the stars are big and broad deep in the heart of Texas the prairie's guys wide annoyed deep in the heart of Texas the sage in bloom is like per view them deep in the segues says reminds me of the one I love deep in the heart of choke says housings it goes well then calling you for game. Won't for game me to sing of course or give me the opportunity by getting mad to pitch in to talk about. The other pages still round is to us and we'll be getting updates from Sir thank Colleen for Minute Maid Park and he's them throughout the program we'll hear from them again in a few minutes when 1st let's get the latest 5 by the lines were so few years. Long before anyone that this is b.b.c. 5 Live there was Halliburton has won his 4th championship title overtaking So Jackie Stewart as the most successful British Formula One driver of all time more on this in the sport huge crowds of taking to the streets of Barcelona calling for United Spain after Catalonia declared independence the government in Madrid has taken direct control of the region fired its leaders and called fresh elections treasonous propose new measures to handle complaints of sexual harassment against members of parliament in a letter to the Speaker John Bercow the prime minister said the current system isn't strong enough and right leaning think tank says it should be a radical shake up of student loans u.k. 2020 says getting rid of interest and extending the repayment time to retirement age would drastically reduce the number of loans which have to be written off that's the news here's a sport with Shabnam you know it wasn't a Seri tale race for Lewis Hamilton at the Mexican grand prey but he's one of rack or 4th world title to become Britain's most successful Formula One driver of Formula One commentator is Jack Nichols It seemed straightforward Hamilton just needed a top 5 finish in order to clinch the title but at the very 1st corner he and Sebastian Vettel his rival came together both had to pit both had to fight their way back up the order how to manage to get up tonight Vettel could only manage 4th not enough to take the championship fight on the Brazil in 2 weeks' time so it's Lewis Hamilton who is a 4 times Formula One world champion the most successful British driver in the history of the sport the race was won by Max the stop in but it was Hamilton's day just very surreal to be honest particularly I feel incredibly grateful and just at peace in my heart you know a lot of a lot is going on this year and. Even today a lot was thrown at me but I felt in my heart just to keep going Claude Paul made a winning start at Leicester City beating manager as evidence you know David Unsworth is in can take a charge of evidence following the departure of Ronald came in and the club remain in the bottom 3 probably want to play in a slightly different way to the previous manager. That takes a little bit of time to get that message across we've got it for 90 minutes in the 1st game we value for 45 in the 2nd half certainly you know a lot of good things a comma but look we were just one who is all somewhere around here with us today and us are disappointed in the day's other Premier League game glamourous 2nd off equaliser and a point for Brighton as they drew battle with Southampton who moved up to 9th but midfielder James Ward Prowse has his sights set higher in Europe if it goes out talk of the season we want to get back there and there's no reason why we can't do it we cheated a couple seasons ago and we're looking to do it again Chelsea ladies remain at the top of women sleepily won after a 6 nil thrashing of Yeovil munches to city school twice in added time to be burning in $31.00 asked will want to know at Everton Leicester a 3rd in rugby union's premiership after a $3013.00 win over Newcastle fly half hour when Williams scored the winning conversion as Gloucester snatched a 2221 win over West Country rivals bath he is now hoping to get the nod for Wales in the autumn internationals obviously the world. To a great combo did we train and now and push push might push my cause and shook my hand up and look Ok enough Wales to finish turn 12 prop up and meanwhile boss an arraignment blank as some on the Hill could be undone for the autumn internationals after suffering a neck injury in the game Gulf n n n Paul Casey will rejoin the European Tour next season after a 3 year absence the 40 year old says the prospect of playing another Ryder Cup was a key factor in his decision and Roger Federer has beaten one Martin del Potro to win the Swiss Indoors in Bothell for a record 8th time but he's pulled out of next week's Paris Masters to end his chances of taking the year and well number one spot from Rafa Nadal. With the buyout Spain's foreign minister says the depos Catalan president Carlos' Persia Mon could run for reelection in December if he has not been imprisoned by then his comments come as pains chief prosecutor prepares to file criminal charges against him as a policewoman still believes he's president and says he doesn't recognize the order from Madrid removing him from power up while the bus load hundreds of thousands of people have attended a rally for Spanish unity and although it has no words they send along to the Spanish national anthem. God via the Barnett a Catalan municipal police force said that at least 300000 people turned out in Barcelona organizers and the government in Madrid put the turnout at more than a 1000000 many of those protesting chanted the call is we should be jailed a minister in Belgium said he could get political asylum there appalled nights ash Sharma is in Madrid and he asked him to run through the main events of Sunday it's been a very interesting day because in Barcelona and in fact at the weekend throughout and cities in Spain but certainly in Barcelona on Sunday we saw very big demonstration of Catalan people who support a union with Spain who don't want to be in. Pendent And according to the organizers stay say and central government Madrid say that there were over a 1000000 people local police put the figure more at 300000 but this is very much seen as a silent majority don't people that really if you if you look at this distance if you look at their research it does show that the vast majority of Catalan people actually prefer to stay in eating with Spain and they're not really the independent places which I think internationally the feeling is that if you think about Catalonia you really think of people that desperately want to be free and desperately want to stay away and this is not going to be an important group because for many many is decades in fact they really have been a sonnet majority and we've now come to this crisis and I come to this state and and I think today was a demonstration by these people to show that the Yes they are cattle land but they don't want to be separated and I think that's a very important point for for them and has banished government to show internationally that I think the message seems to be that most people seem to think Catarina should perhaps have the right to choose is independent that perhaps people seem to think Catalunya wants to be independent but really the point that is being emphasized that was shown very clearly today in this demonstration is that the majority of Catalans don't want that and in terms of the Catalan separatists they didn't get anything like a ringing endorsement did they for independence in the what's known as the legal referendum list no New Madrid is the referendum but what why didn't the Spanish unionist in Catalonia come out to vote against him at the time against the the Mr Push him on the Catalan president at the time I think this is this is you know it's a very important question and a good question Don And I think the thing is is that for the vast majority of people that don't want to fight for a separate state the thinking is and big. And the feeling has always been that as you rightly say in terms of the Spanish constitution and whether the calendar stars who are supporting independent tism see it and agree with it or not they are a part of Spain and under the Constitution what they did was completely legal to the point where there are certain even statutes within the castle and governing author region within the can and Parliament which were completely ignored things like if you're going to plan something as big as this to need to be debate for at least a year that wasn't the case the main opposition parties the party the popular which is the governing party the Socialist the pessary and this he that honors which is this new party that grew up specifically to oppose the rise seeing tonnage as a sort of independent this movement actually walked out of parliament they didn't even participate in debate the very fabric the very rule of generating a complete parliamentary debate before you make a decision to do something as spectacularly big as breaking the law or if you like it going for it a referendum was even not even followed in the parliament and so those people said for us to take part even to take part even to go in and prove a point means that we are participating and we are accepting something and it was a complete rejection I can even speak about it anecdotally I've lived in Barcelona have a lot of friends there and most of the people I knew said we will not even step out of the door to participate in this because just by thinking about it and going to the polling booth and putting a vote that says no you've actually accepted something that is completely legal and that's the reason why so many of the cattle and people the vast majority in fact there's been research report that's really come out today that shows that if if you look at it today in time there are about 53 percent of people that wouldn't want to vote for independence the report is broken and it is specific aspects of what they would want but it clearly shows that the vast majority of the. Atlanta people don't want to vote now what the independents he said is that we had a 43 percent turnout and 90 percent of those people didn't vote for independent and when it was put to them that there was a lot of situations which were normal I think the urns Dion followed they point the finger at the government in Madrid saying well they caused the problems they caused to be there to difficulties for it to become a proper democratic votes so you have a long campaign with you know going if you like but that's the main reason why a lot of Catalans didn't participate as sham of the Deep in the hearts of Madrid as go deep back into the heart of Texas so these are now. Voters have been in quite a bad Zillah be watching the full game of the World Series it's 2 games apiece now just tell us what there is a play for in this earth what's up at stake. For Game 5 is at stake and that would take the winner going 5 in sort of position where. They not only were both victory to be crowned the World Series champions are right now in the Dodgers I absolutely am appalled to see these guys their money should not cry go out of a game that's one of the stoppages obvious use an Astros line up their money to get the runs on and then also take his picture count i.o.p. Him to be 80 and now we're going to see a change in Richard Wright very much in charge of things right. On top they've got their star pitcher on the mound as well I'm quite sure I mean I spoke it's all about your pitch your picture is drawing obviously finding a spot on the fly very very difficult for the other things I want to mention Kershaw Hirshhorn bridges conceding the 3 runs every single guy for the finally stop over caution that he's for an awful lot of the Houston fans in the stadium in a freezing. That's I get this opportunity to disappear often don't get themselves off I'm very relieved that we got out of it showing up for you at last it's I or else I could have actually been Ok the game before we managed to preview in there to explain my wish that you don't. Censor feel there's a stance here we look to our right there's actually a rush runs at our stand you don't get back to over the British sports events just people actually sitting at tables ordering food and. It's almost like the Rush told the doors there's some guy in front of us who is alway told just fine it's great just write a shipping moments come on your mind on the b.b.c. And you have a big smile on your end if you want to make a game so far it's a great game it feels good to have 400 push on the mound knowing that Kershaw dominates the asco game when 16 strikeouts were in a really good spot and Kelly called the picture for the Astros he's got his own corner in the crowd and if you look to your right there's a big orange banner that says Can I call corner you've managed to not come out in the 4th inning How important is that but. It's a word you got to know you got him got him and got him in the beginning knocked him out changed the whole energy in this ballpark they were they were out there you are really getting excited took him out it's quiet in here now the stadium in baseball it's quiet in here. And Samuel your girlfriend is next to you. Do you feel for me you come here you're wearing the blue of the guard you've got the ally on your campus as well to do you worry at all about seeing the most used in fans Oh not at all they're great people he was a great city we showed a lot of hospitality while here we flew in on Friday we've been here for 3 days a lot has been how the great fans it's a good atmosphere I did you get your tickets. Now come on right away what kind of price are we talking about for a World Series game Be honest tell $55.00 What price did you pay. We paid more tonight than we paid last night. But I don't like to talk about it but the still hurts but it is worth it way forward to have it come on Monday you only sharing this with the whole United Kingdom you can tell us what we're talking 4 figures here on me. It's not us tonight no Tonight we've got a $100000.00 who have tickets to game $6.00 and $7.00 back in I not yet not yet but we fly will and how much would you be willing to pay for them I don't know well it is expensive and is really expensive it was cheaper for us were from California it was cheaper for us to keep flat here get tickets here then just watch the game in town stadium Wow Well they go run a giving us an insight thank you and I enjoy the remainder of the games off of them so mash shows fan so there are cheering for maybe half from them a little later on except for the l.a. Right now and that they're very very comfortable we have been making a lot of friends talking that way but why the Houston fans who are right that's already consumed the whole course if one is drinking wine from a box and it's all gone he's asking if it come on we'll think if we do lamb on we could have to say Houston we have a problem. This have a mishap in that in that case you want to have only one who knows what I know he's coming here this is a major time to ground control because your name said and I'm standing with one that we were telling about the wine you were drinking I was off good quality pop into choices 942 it's actually the 1st ball I was ever made from plastic bottles it's actually on both legal it's through coffee with the 5 things I think it's the 1st now ever mankind and it has no settlement with. It and I think you see on your end of the and was gone that while the I think the ladies like you. Talk us through this game tonight you. And you know you enjoyed your wine you kind of enjoyed the baseball and I. Saw the baseball great Ok so we got kike on the mound that was must be on man he's doing everything with that damn fog and then I see that just about nothing washed Ok so kike was a lackey nobody who trusts the left the Nowadays you know I'm someone who's gone he's been wounded that's Gregersen that's our axe cause or he's the only Astro with us you know you are in the playoffs I don't know you know that me did you talk to get Stockton now I know what I'm talking about is my 42nd game this season 42nd 42 games we were hearing from run a run he went for the average i.q. I'm a legend we're lucky to have you on we were hearing from right a gal a funny paid for by using dollars the ticket last night I watched you to pay my dad bought my ticket for me Ok I said not as a nice gift yet Dad that if. I did they made me record the record that. My dad actually told me this last year he told me for the 1st time he actually loves me I mean gave you a ticket every go this is what happens in Houston father's expressed the love he had against the base by sas what we love and thank you thank you he's still you know he soon found that joining us really appreciate it yeah thank you and thanks very much for calling pads and as ever as have been as well will catch up with the latest from the World Series later on the program will keep you up to date throughout the program on the school that is getting exciting and tense as well but for now let's catch up with the week's news from Brazil as Sam carries with us his sampan a good morning. Get into. For a while fans for images out of the sport of rounders you know from the states. When I was this it was great stuff. Now Brazil's president isn't out of the woods yet is he with regards to all the sort of Judo. Well he pretty much is actually it's also he's pretty much is out of the works he was saved by Congress just on Wednesday actually in Brazil it's needed for 2 thirds of Congress who basically vote for the president to be suspended which would be around $342.00 votes out of $500.00 saying only $233.00 voted to remove him he managed to have $252.00 votes has wanted to keep him in so he is pretty much out of the woods especially regarding this charge Datsun which is he basically was accused of obstruction of justice and criminal organization quite say quite an accusation that the criminal organization is basically he was accused along with him and several ministers and several congressmen several of whom are in jail at the moment one of them in fact was property that was connected to him was found with a 50000000 Hey I is in the cash inside of the property and in the congressman's office and pounds shillings and pence so far it's about 12 and a half 1000000 pounds of the money probably just a little bit and will be under Actually it's about $4.00 So the pound right now Dotson Yes that was missed it's Hemas congressman and friend and close ally Del Lima who also served in. The suit was government of course and also enjoyment of his government but yeah basically Tema and his gang of merry men were basically accused of receiving about $150000000.00 pounds in bribes since time is taken over the presidency but you know he was cleared at the Congress he's a he's a he's out of the out of trouble for now he was don't even know who's with a year in obstruction the same day and rushed to hospital during the vote which added a certain amount of trauma to it so that he was discharged the same day and came out you know giving a thumbs up signal to all of the cameras basically then and some the one of these outlaws gave more than a thumbs up to the video cameras. It was that more than a thumbs up it was a bit of a sing song going to daunce actually. And silver glass a. Sense of the sort of amount of money there's a sort of Fortune so you don't want to say you know my going out. Ok so what. He's basically saying you know to get each one to a nice place h one and his place grasses and there was thank God thank God And you know you know we beat the opposition up once again because this opposition can't win anything because it's important to remember as well as on that this is the 2nd Congressional gov vote that Mr has faced since all is that he beat the last one as well when he was accused of bribery and he's been this one just now accuse obstruction of justice and criminal organization now this guy here that we heard on the tape His name is Carlos Maron and he is one of 10 his closest allies at the moment especially one of the close allies that's not actually in prison at the moment because moron was also considered like a real right hand man of Eduardo coon you know who was basically considered one of Brazil's most powerful politicians you know the former speaker of the house in jail at the moment you know got 15 years because Russian which is like a very it's very rare to see politicians go to prison in Brazil for that long especially and headwater can you serving time at the moment in a in jail and call us in Iran has continued to be one of 10 his closest allies and you know you we saw him and heard him there celebrating and this was actually even before the vote was over so you know he was he was pretty confident that the opposition weren't going to get the numbers they needed to see Mr suspended and then he would indeed have to face trial at the Supreme Court if he had been removed from the Congress so you know does Mr Moran have a point the the opposition Colleen Brazil can organize a pistol in the brewery if you see what I mean. He wouldn't be mistaken does when he really wouldn't be mistaken the opposition in Brazil is in shambles at the moment I mean you know we're not seeing any large scale kind of street protests we're not seeing a kind of like a unified movement basically calling for his removal we're seeing the congressman you know when they getting their votes you know accusing him of corruption eccentrics cetera but really the opposition is in a shambles at the moment also in Brazil and you know this is one of the big speculations at the moment whether the opposition is going to be able to pull itself together for the elections next year for the 2018 elections of course Lula da Silva you know the very famous and extremely popular former president you know you know he's flying high in the polls at the moment you know he's got 35 percent votes or intention according to the polls that just came out today but Lula himself is flying he was actually convicted so you know I don't know if he is in prison earlier this year he's free pending an appeal he's also going to face another 5 charges you know basically as a very good journalist friend of mine actually once said basically. The left in Brazil without a lot is the opposition in Brazil without losing it's like you know going to go against Germany in the World Cup without name on and we all know what happened that night but then of course as another friend of mine once said but the opposition is certainly not Germany the German football team in 2014 on that night with the which ended in a $71.00 so you know well done well done you and thanks for not mentioning the England Under 7 saints be Brazil is well on their way to winning the World Cup but that's all good true so Matt thank you Sam Sam Kiley there is Sam Patton Let's catch up with Adelaide stateside now as Karen servant of USA Today Good Morning counted morning how are you I'm very well Happy Halloween by the way well thank you very much you know I have a joke for you really a joke for me or for me that's very kind of you. 200 friends from a forklift boom boom know that one is. Pretty good the Fizzer Why is Evan love to that I mean pretty. Well you got me on the spot here I'm why Brady I have to laugh tonight thank you. I love you as well good Ok so why is Dracula so easy to pull through all. To Jack in the easy to fool I don't know why he's Dracula said he's a fool because he's just 2nd such a Secor. Love. Vascular I think you want this but you're not why did you know I did I just know Vadis know that it's no bad 5 out of 10 c.b. Off the clothes as John Lennon said to Paul McCartney Anyway let's talk about the play brought that joke is not in the bank but this would be a 2. For the love of God Some of it is no in the play but this would. Be the story tomorrow. President is on the front page doesn't it oh yes and say it back somebody made a little comment not long ago about you know happy indictment leave. Me. To git Oh but somebody else might be well we're going to wait and see c.n.n. Reported on Friday that some indictments have been sent down by Robert Muller special counsel and we're waiting to see if somebody gets arrested tomorrow. You know based on the Russian You know you investigation into Russia's potential meddling in the 2016 elections so I guess we're going to see you tomorrow if somebody does a perp walk I really think. I love that phrase pit bull goalie in America. That good would you describe the perp put wool kids switch you know his opinion Marge that maybe out of their house or or whatever with the handcuffs and you know or the jacket discreetly placed over their handcuffs so that's just like everybody's worst nightmare to have that and have that happen in the old days in the u.k. We support a blanket over their heads to that an image see but then I suppose it wouldn't be a perp walk if you didn't see the middle of it. Say. It's a pope who said so I would like to go one of those but the president's been swayed so you can say that this is Will part of a Democrats who put the goods to use any foundation to the well it depends on what your political views are sort of at this point you know he's he's trying to draw attention to anything other than the Russian row he's trying to say you know the Democrats are dry trying to draw attention away from the you know the tax reform that's coming before Congress and trying to draw their attention you know Hillary Clinton is there something wrong with Hillary Clinton and you know everything is just distraction at this point so you know that's going to be that's going to be the big story tomorrow and why is puts Reka in the headlines Well there was a and usual deal where the small. Company energy company from a very small town in Montana a town of about 7000 people and a company that only at the time of this this business deal had 2 employees to go in and get a 3 $100000000.00 contract to fix all of the power grid that was destroyed by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico now because there were so much outrage about how did this contract happen who you know it's in that home town of interior secretary Ryan think he it just seemed unusual and it seemed like it didn't follow all the bidding processes cetera so now the governor of Puerto Rico has asked that contract be stopped and they're going to come up with another way to restore the power grid it just didn't smell you know just didn't smell right for it to a lot of people it is a feature on the emergency room unless really gives you good paper. Oh it is such it's just a heartbreaking read but it's really good are all done woods from the Arizona Republic was one of the reporters at that went into Las Vegas after that horrific shooting and he interviewed all the doctors and nurses who treated hundreds of people who came in to you know flooded the hospital that night and it's such a it's such an interesting read about you know you talk about having a mass casualty event but how do you really really deal with it you know like the doctor it was just it was just a really terrific very you have sometimes you forget the headlines we forget the story behind the headlines is it what we forget the real people the been trying to help other people who found themselves in the headlines and we concentrate on the stats you know the numbers of fades out of season so a belief you get actually these are real people who are trying to deal with the tragedy don't try Yeah exactly right it's fresh.
