Some people call it 6 minutes past 7 it's going to be a find it might not seem it now but it will be a fine. Little bit breezy though the breeze is going to be with us will be the. Most places we'll be staying dry eyes of 17 degrees Celsius 63. Years on the traffic for you. It's the norm if you use this between Kirby and Liverpool Central. 15 minutes will be added on. This morning there was an early broken down trying to affect all of that So the timetable might be slightly out so if you normally get that train and you're in the kitchen with. Plenty of time here and it's going to add 15 minutes on. Liverpool. On line. Now nurses from across Merseyside in Cheshire will join colleagues from around the country in a protest in London demanding an end to their paid cap which is one percent as we know the moment be talking to a local official from the Royal College of Nursing in a moment and Julie mention this briefly a sport that is credited with helping to develop the skills of some of the world's top 4 Paula's is the focus of a major conference that's taking place to try and the Rovers ground over the next couple of days it's called foot so at the 5 side 7 a side over head height you can go in the box you can go in the box I know very little about this countries throughout the rest of the world played all the time it has not taken off 3 a so hence the conference a tramway are over so we'll talk more about that just before half past 7 and just to get you in the mood for the early Shirley's Here's a little 2 2nd challenge now for me a lot of Motown songs start exactly the same like this. For what is that one please 70993 double 3 for the early Shirley's just to get your head around that one. It's got to be $200.00 Motown songs that start like that with those drums. But which one is that 170913 double straights of. B.b.c. Radio. Now thousands of nurses will today descend upon the capitol to protest outside parliament and call for an end to the one percent pay cap which it says is causing a huge shortfall in nursing positions across the country and a New You Gov poll of members of the public found 72 percent believe there are too few nurses to provide safe care to patients some 68 percent said nurses are underpaid and 57 percent of people who are asked and they said they would be willing to pay more tax to make the n.h.s. Safer So the protests going to do any good let's talk to calm Byrne senior regional officer. The Royal College of Nursing just to find out more Cullen Good morning to you morning snarly good to have you with us thanks for being with us this morning the results of the survey seem to show a lot of support from from the public they say that even pay more tax they'll be n.h.s. And of course that comes as no great surprise or smelly because whatever happens in this world we know that nurses are still highly respected and highly valued by the public and by the patients who use them I mean she was sure fall in missing staff there as well that purely down to the one percent cap was not just to simple way of looking at it I mean it's a bit of a perfect storm snarly we talked about this I think back in July didn't we there's a whole host of things so the fact that nurses are undervalued by the government and underpaid is clearly one thing Brecht's as has an effect and there are less people applying to come work in the u.k. Says some nurses who offer the European countries have left but also the government has failed to invest in things smelly and in its future so scary for student nurses for example has been scrapped which means the nurses now have to pay to train. Which wasn't the case before. There are too few places now in universities for nursing students so yeah there's a complex set of reasons one of things goes I find as a as a senior regional office a going around all of the trusts in the Northwest use of course that the pressure that they're under is well enormously stressful jobs doing and for some of us who are. Maybe not as young as we used to be we've been in the profession this year I've been in the profession for 2 years. You know we get to a point where you know we're really tired and stressed and exhausted and a lot of money. Colleagues are leaving the profession not returning if you were stacking shelves and you couldn't stop the shelves in the supermarket because you stressed a new thing in. The would be a lot of people who would say you know I'm going to ring in 6 or more but because you are dealing with people and people's lives and please don't let me put words into your mouth but you and your colleagues do you feel as though you have to stay when you're not feeling too well because you are dealing with people not to Oh absolutely I mean there is. A phenomena known as present season so that's the opposite of absenteeism and as people are nurses who present themselves it was clearly unfair. But feel that if they didn't that their colleagues. You know would really struggle to deliver safe care so you know these are dedicated people and part of our concern is that the government is taking advantage of that dedication and as for so our wages down knowing nurses are extremely unlikely and reluctant to take industrial action and leave patients without adequate care we hear all the time from the government they have phoned the n.h.s. To to record levels now that this comes out on a weekly basis so you say that the government say they are as members of the public where do we fit and who do we believe on this or to some extent telling the truth when they cite up the problem is that either demand has outstripped the new resources that the government has put in. The one thing they certainly haven't resorted to quickly is the nursing workforce if they had we wouldn't have a shortage of 40000 nurses nationally. Had paid courts have seen a 14 percent drop in an average nurses pay since 2010 you know the figures just don't stack rocks nearly on the amount basis some observers and commentators think to reason May's plans to lift the one percent pay cap on public sector pay which of course includes in the autumn what that actually been off it depends what you lifted to a supposed. Well the average nurses lost $3000.00 pounds in income since 2010 so we would be expecting to see least some redress to the Pecos that they've had so it isn't a case of just you know let's lift the one percent what are we talking about inflation is running at just under 3 percent a year so just even to get back to work they were nurses would have to have a significant pay rise. So let's let's see the color of their money and of course the only reason the government is now talking about lifting the pay cap is because they can see that the public all reposed to to this sort of austerity you know some of them of value public sector workers being treated in this way when they see some of the heroism you know daily from the emergency services and from teachers and nurses these of the you know the people who just get on with their job and suffer in silence and causing a hole in the r.c.n. Speaks for them and says enough is enough we're almost out of time do you think the government will listen today and if they don't with the be a possibility of further action in the future possibly strikes but we hope that I listen because I don't really think that they have any choice you know these a vital public services that they can play politics with in terms of what will happen if they don't well we'll have to wait and see what their response is to all demonstration today in Parliament Square. But if they don't then you know we will move to the next stage of our campaign which is to balance our members to ask whether they want us to take industrial action and I should just say snarly that nurses don't believe taking strike action is a good way to win the minds and hearts of the public eye and I don't think the nurses would do that I simply think that we would take industrial action short of strike action but of course. If the government doesn't listen then it's up to our members everything is on the table All right. Thanks for being with us. Thank you very much and. Connection with the Hillsborough disaster. Appearance. On the North Korean ambassador has been summoned to the Foreign Office to receive a formal protest of the secretive country's latest nuclear weapons. In the Caribbean making last minute preparations for Hurricane One of the most powerful at . The moment it was again. Last night coming off the bench to settle one of them keeping alive the hopes of qualifying for the 2818. B.b.c. Radio. One Sunday with delays on the northern service of measure l.f. Being cleared already being squared off them all so normal service is resumed on mostly Robinson cab in Liverpool Central slow traffic on the m 6 southbound to junction 23 that's Haydock and congestion right through to junction 25 at the moment and also heavy traffic on the m 62 eastbound between junction a button with road and junction 11 patches of congestion between the stretches well and also heavy traffic reports on the chest the road a 556 in both directions between Station Road and hogshead line this road works around that so it's slowing things down if you know something we'll talk about it was give us a call I will 5 on 7 I 40953 go to the dentist today some patients can get in n.h.s. Denton's no problem at all going to talk more just after 8 o'clock I never went to the dentist for years and the fear. When I went I was really disappointed that I wasn't. I mean I know when is there any Yes well don't you don't yet know I know feelings 7 extractions now I think of a couple failings but the technology had changed in that time from Ivan the robot mascot. To what they did now and it was like I was really disappointed that I wasn't scared now I know exactly what you mean I mean I went through a Peter to being really really terrified ready now to the dentist who ran out so I wrote I well remember book wrote it after. You haven't paid you what it is n.h.s. I don't care you are. Well talking about this after a because the figures that have been looked at by the b.b.c. And they suggest only half of dental practice is in England and not accepting new adults n.h.s. Patients want to fit so not expect except in kids on their books either there's also a lot of variation but of a postcode thing depending on where you live 5000000 kids because all in England haven't seen an n.h.s. Dentist in the past 12 months shocking us what to do then just let the. And once they start you know it's like a point of no return is that you know some is going to be don't people they dismiss baby teeth on their own you baby. That's that's not the case you know you've got to look after your baby teeth as well so what I experience as a people having to get into an n.h.s. Dentist take a little listen to this I'm one lady said something very interesting very difficult even though I'm on tax credits and I get you know the tax credit exemption to pick up I still can't get. That the ad has been really really really terrible because every day I call I mean I just keep telling me this is the space I should get and then I try for 6 months after 6 months I just try to get my place I was just back to school and even if I seated myself a long time for a dentist Teller actually had really bad she needed one taken out so we had to go to an emergency dentist and after that we and you didn't find it very well like Dennis were really dry for a long time still me and got a dentist for at least we got the kids and. The kids and there was another lady why didn't quite hear the thing and she said that I've started to treat my own kids teeth because I can't get a dentist where do you even begin with the international break the Premier League returns this Saturday 1st up at 1230 Liverpool away at Manchester City but he's got to. Think. That in 3 Everton take on Spurs Despite the defeat to Chelsea Ashley Williams remaining positive. You know . We want to. Make sure. We've got full exclusive local commentary of both games only from 12 with the lines open till 6 mostly side support this Saturday from. B.b.c. Radio. We're going to take a quick look at the front pages of this morning's papers Dr Pujara Saini is with us I've got your description here I want to read the whole thing out it goes on for quite a long time. Academic research from the University of Liverpool That's great academic research university of look we want to see all of the letters after your name we'll take it up to 8 o'clock that Anyway good to see you and you got the front pages you got the front pages there I have I have so in the Daily Telegraph this morning we've got that natural selection is weeding out weeding out Simers and asked me out of the gene pool. So a study is found. By Cambridge and Columbia University that 150000 Britons and 60000 Americans have found that within 2 generations we're seeing a reduction in associated illnesses with cholesterol Alzheimer's and. They're worried that we're seeing. The Darwinian evolutionary theory kind of playing out in practice you've lost me now because just the fact of the generation right could basically affect the whole of society because those people are having less children they can't care for children as well in future generations right and it's actually reducing the gene pool in families all right so it's the gene pool is reduced What does that mean means families are getting smaller right Ok And for the bigger picture does that mean bad news so there's not a there's not a gene pool isn't is deeper suppose Oh yeah. So yeah it would be more negative right Ok if you like in the big picture so we've also got in the Daily Telegraph that the b.b.c. Agreed to launch the major review of the salaries today. They're looking at working towards working on equal pay order. So I think that's a good thing that came out in the in July didn't it with the salaries of the top earners or people on a presenter's radio and television you were in the 150000 pounds or more and there was a big gap between some male and some female presenters as well so the b.b.c. Looking at. Hopefully fixing that and it's not going to be an overnight thing this that was because people are on long contracts it's going to take him going to say I want the supreme Yeah they said it's going to take a few weeks they've got lawyers coming in to have a look at it and actually say do a pay audit and then hopefully bring a bit more parity Ok we've got in the Guardian some concern for health as plastics . Discovered in water in countries around the world with us being at the highest 94 percent and Britain is actually one of the lowest but it's still 72 percent so that's a concern through food and water if there's more plastics in the water so I'm not sure how much concern that is yeah when we say plastics in the water one or 2 of our plastic bags that are floating around these are microscopic things that we can see absolutely in water sold that the levels of the of going on here and it can be through fish like that we might be you know when terminated with Yeah Ok I think we got time for one more thoughts on yeah so we had in the news as you mentioned earlier today in The Daily Mirror the worsening shortage ever and fears for patient safety and this is kind of been attribute it to low pay and you know relentless pressure and stuff and I think we've just spoken about it in town to small and the r.c.n. Ok All right we'll talk some more Thank you very much Oh you're welcome it's 726 Good morning to you. Peter and b.b.c. Radio Merseyside. Now I've learned something this morning it's one of the fastest growing indoor sports in the world in fact travel around the country and it will be no surprise to find thousands of players of all abilities playing 5 a side football bought foot sole is the only 5 aside sport endorsed government and developed by Fifa world wide with professional leagues now Fortune has developed some of the world's best footballers so of the continual for example a lot of Messi they've all played this one when they were younger probably still have a kick about Mel yet the u.k. Continues to kind of largely ignore it really so what's the difference will today and tomorrow the world's 1st football business conference in partnership with tramway rovers is taking place and to tell us more is Stephen McGettigan He's the founder and managing to our. Of foot sole focus which is organize the event Stephen good morning good morning I played 5 a side on a Monday Tuesday and Thursday each with different rules sometimes you can go in the book sometimes you can some of it is over head height some of it is 3 for 3 because that many different rules what makes Foote so different. Words are start good question well search so when you look at it it's played on a court sorry which is a bit bigger than a possible court. And the whole rules of the game is to have a safe speed fast decisions making and it encourages players to be a lot more skillful and show more for and so for instance if the ball goes the player has to put the ball in the byline and the referee was Thomas said him or her and call it 4 seconds and if the person hasn't made a decision in that then it will go to the other team plus there's 3 different counties stats spots so you have accumulated fouls so the referee if there's 5 files in the panel be able to place on the fact impound the spot just which is just a few yards behind me one and then as your normal you know wherever they fall to take place when a pound of tea place plus you have what is the psyche per story so I suck each and different my mark in sports for the keeper can come out of its that were in this case the keeper can be a part of the tact when it and only receive the ball weighs on the other players half right where and if we lost it then I would see the goalkeepers net is open and then the person the other team can score so there's a real emphasis on decision making the parts in a movement and. Gives me the separates within the game as well yeah I was just going to say that about the decision making in the speed of the game as well because if you are conditioned from an early age as soon as you get the ball to make a quick decision rather than you know sitting on the ball for a while you can to give its all given to Amy's no go play and you've got and you've actually got to play the ball alley Otherwise you get penalized for this it's a team sport you know you can be that there is not a good play you have to pass you have to move it around to different tactics different ways playing different shapes and I'm like I said the sap plays as well so this is free kick it isn't just left to shoot straight at the keeper if there's not the space there to do that you know you have to find ways to get through the fences and to score and of course as I say if you start this from an early age you know like a little kitty The old little messing in places like that your skills are going to be honed So you're going to be ready. For your for your professional career at a very a well it was very interesting yesterday I was at soccer x. And I was taught to Navy and there is other people around here talking to them to you when you started to speak with me and I told them about my company and my background the other people around there were interested to learn more because they've heard of Fritz out but don't make yourself don't really know much about it and the Fleeman aisy guy was very sad to see every football player around you on this wall and they said yes they all develop through 6 years of 12 and then they go through a transition program where they're able to keep that skill in frnt fast decision making skills and apply it to the bigger pitch so why have we not taken this on board in the u.k. And I don't know some song play ball generally we just ignore this suddenly well the f.a. Being Greece England has a national team now Scotland has a national team wields has won this national league and there's pathways from grassroots up it is growing but we need more people from investors say from football clubs to take it more serious in terms of building it to the professional level because you know I think that was held up so far as firstly we've already have our own 5 percent in the street you know it doesn't Africa career path but we've had one in police and when people heard if it's other it or it's 5 aside I'm sure we already have them so that we have all the facilities all around the country that people are making money from so when they've invested so much in it why would they look to develop another sport into an end it's all just too much about trying the roads as well because you know you're there today and you're going to be paying them is there any. For the next 2 days were present parked this place in England and I mean when I say place I mean the world this area of England sorry has a real history when it comes to to streets. The 1st then the national term is hosted here by a club of which they doesn't exist anymore called tram near Victoria. And also they brought Iran here that's one of the top teams in the world would you believe to play a friendly and invited the f.a. To come watch it and then after that a tournament was pretty on by Sheffield and Hart I'm sure which from your one with the 1st team to represent England in the u a full cup which from next year will be rebranded tribulation which I'll jump in Jake. And and they played in it we're going to be celebrating today we're going to come to the. Conference really give them an award for that because they were some of the Pern years of the sport not to be recognized I knew that we're out of time but good luck enjoy the next 2 days thanks for talking to us on the program there's a Stephen McCance again the who will be talking about the sport of football and it's not just 5. And every. Play for every play is given the. 27 minutes. Good morning 5 men charged in connection with the Hillsborough disaster Reggie to make their. Payments today they include the former chief constable of most east side and West Yorkshire Sonoma Bettison the North Korean ambassador to the u.k. Has been summoned to the Foreign Office for a dressing down in the wake of his country's nuclear test persons condemning the missile launch and it's calling on the government to dismantle its arms this is from the side and Cheshire it will join around 2000 colleagues in London for a demonstration at Palm and the Royal College of Nursing wants the government to scrap the public sector pay cap and people in several Caribbean islands have been ordered to evacuate their homes as hurricane approaches its one of the strongest storms ever recorded with winds of 180 miles per hour the weather mostly find it Wednesday with some sunshine my forecast anyway but he seems to be checking it out outside. No I'm told just a couple of light showers but it looks dreadful out there it's like I'm coming from . Just reads the screen I just read it I don't have you know all these fancy weather forecasts put it on the screen you'll read anything. B.b.c. Radio. Read this great. 623 dots in the congestion right through the junction 25 brand and also have a traffic on the m 62 eastbound the junction I would route through to the junction 11 a bad one it's all about slow traffic at the moment there's no major incidents but . We're getting reports of a. Slowdown as well heavy traffic on the chest the road the a 506 both directions Station Road on hogshead like. Have you finished. In the Ok with. 3 Thank you. D.c. Radio in mind. I'd. Be looking at him thinking yeah you're in my plans for this season what we had never played senior international football until Saturday then school about crucial gold whales in the World Cup qualifying last night you've got to get in the team at 72 percent possession but nothing to show for you but until the young Liverpool forward came off the bench he set up how Robson colony before Wales went on to win 2 nil to give 2nd degree really boosting their hopes of heading to Russia next so my Gareth Bale was full of praise for the Reds like his prospects you know what he did was amazing for. Yeah I think even in training and I was just a quiet boy just gets on with it so I know he won't get too carried away and I'm sure. Now but he's been great since he's come in and. Will now be keen to check on the fitness of his play is the right strikers Mohamed Salah a man I both schooled for their countries Egypt in Senegal friend featured for Croatia Roberto for me no play just a bad hour for Brazil for they could see me I will send home for the final 15 minutes of that game ever since it's in school twice to help Iceland to a crucial to know victory over Ukraine in their World Cup qualifier the blues defend the Ashley Williams captained. Wales in that win over Moldova it is going to get also started to Senegal Tom Davis had a good game for England Under 20 one's maybe Latvia 3 nil in a qualifier for the European Championships and the National League Chester lost to nail a way it's a bad night for Southport in the National League north they lost 6 nail at Stockport County when this Viking sent to Stefan Marsh says they'll take the confidence from last week's win over into the next qualify on Saturday at whole pay all victory is for the strengthen the Vikings chances of retaining their Super League status and Marcia's putting victories together at this stage gives everyone belief definitely pull in that we've got the confidence to. Know in the. Refer to our potential going to win and. Improving each week. For the wins will keep coming and Lancashire and I 6 will hope for better weather today as they move into day 2 of their important county championship match at Old Trafford not a bowl that was bowled on the 1st day as that rain yesterday meant the whole day's play was abandoned Don't forget most the side sport is back tonight so we Solti He's joined by Simon Hughes the author of a new book on the brink a journey through English football's Northwest that's from 6 o'clock tonight. Talking about the dentist which we are going to be talking about the figures about people who can get an n.h.s. Dentist appointment or an actual dentist not too bad Randy but in different parts of the country it's really missed in the United States many people say you can tell the Brits by their bad teeth you've been watching Austin Powers my friend than me but yeah we'll talk more about that just after 8 o'clock. Home office paper suggests the government is considering ways to. Mattick Li reduced the number of low skilled e.u. Migrants who can come to the u.k. To Bragg's it now this draft document which has been published by The Guardian newspaper proposes a timeline of time limits on how long e.u. Nationals who are travelling here can actually stay in the country the b.b.c. Understands that the document which was produced last month has not been approved by ministers but or Reporter Emily Junia has been taking a look into this story for us Emily good morning just tell us more about this leaked document 1st of all well it's a draft version of a discussion paper marked extremely sensitive and dated August 27th teen and it shows us how the government wants our immigration system to look after Bret's it is suggests free movement of people will end when we leave the e.u. In March 29000 and that the u.k. Will then adopt a more selective approach based on the country's economic and social needs it looks like there will be some kind of implementation period though to minimize disruption to businesses and public services which at the moment are heavily reliant on European labor and one of the details another. Well if these jobs plans are actually accepted by ministers there's going to be a significant change straight away you citizens will not be able to enter Britain any longer by simply sharing a national identity called the actually have to use full possible it's a u nationals will be allowed to stay in the u.k. Only for 2 years unless they are highly skilled workers all students on longer courses and perhaps the most controversial proposal is the possible ending of the right to settle in Britain for most European migrants and placing new restrictions on their rights to bring in family members and what kind of reaction has there been to this leaked document Well a spokesman for the government has said it doesn't comment on leaked draft documents he said ministers would set out their initial proposals for a new immigration system which takes back control of the U.K.'s borders later in the autumn of the labor m.p. If keepers said this document appears to fly in the face of a commitment by the Home Secretary and a right to consult on post for exit immigration and the Trade Union Congress has said these plans create and would create an underground economy and encourage bad bosses to exploit migrants and undercut decent employers offer very good job Emily thank you for that will we leave it there 12 minutes to 8. In the headlines this morning 5 men including 3 former South Yorkshire police officers will appear before Preston Crown Court today charged in connection with the Hillsborough disaster North Korean ambassador to the u.k. Has been summoned to the Foreign Office for a dressing down in the wake of his country's latest nuclear test and people in several Caribbean islands have been ordered to evacuate their homes as hurricane approaches and more details on that it is fairly slow moving it's thought they tracked these things but it is thought it could be heading to Florida by the weekend it could bounce off the coast and had northwards or it could face allow or it could actually make landfall we can but we'll keep an eye for you got relatives out there on holiday and installable teenager Ben Woodburn is doing well as me again the hero for Wales last night. Came off the bench said one of the late goals keeping alive their hopes for qualifying for the 20 World Cup. B.b.c. Radio. Bringing you all of this and more join me between 2 and full Wednesday to Friday afternoon on b.b.c. Radio. Nice one bell 10 to 8 Now let me just play you this. That was from 1964. With the original version of. September the 6th. Here in the u.k. . It was a massive to say recently released by the American soldier. In the States it reached number 8 the following. The only hit for the jewel in the States but. Quite recently displaying his full. Of paintings at the gallery. Here in Liverpool addicted to excess it's cold and it was an exhibition celebrating life and did he think that. He would still be. Cool that. You want glory Jones of course one of 3 of. The connection with glory Jones coming up this month as well but we'll look at that just 6 minutes to talk to us and he is with his academic research or. The University of Liverpool welcome but we got the papers that we found and Melissa story in The Guardian today which is actually one I'm really happy to see so it's where doctors of. To look out for and Dimitrius this diagnosis which is a condition that many women suffer from a gynecological condition that can take up to 8 years to diagnose so women are suffering with this. Disease if you like full say when he is in pain and it's actually a condition absolute of myself so how does it what does it take so long for the 8 years that seems that's what it is a long it's really really difficult to diagnose because it might not show up on scans doesn't show up in blood tests or anything so your main symptoms of pain feel like. It's exaggerated pain of pain that we might suffer anyway so sometimes doctors or you know yourself as patients you don't know whether it's actually a condition right so you go doctor I'm in pain then you go to the doctors who can't find anything yet and so sometimes it can be over Yeah it can only be found by actually looking sides and then it can be diagnosed so nice guidelines of now being . Put out which is brilliant. Hatefully will help some women get diagnosed early Ok so that's good to say we've got some couple of stories in the equity today so warm not so great right invasion in Liverpool really we have the highest amounts of drugs and it's been increasingly over the last couple of years that the some good tips in there for how to keep away. We've also got the eco Awards coming up soon this month which I think you know it seems like a nice event in cider tips to keep the rats away presumably that's not for your property on the floor or Toibin by job properly or or some of the concepts of they were talking while that because I'll be honest with you when I when I drive down the street here next to our car I see them every morning. I see the because not many people around I do see them pretty much every morning so that story does ring true while some of the tips all to close properly make sure your dog is a shelter but at the end of the day you are going to have your dog's apron as well but just to be a bit mindful I think not to leave food around areas where they might nest to try and ensure they can't get in there thanks for the enjoy approaches the whole way but we enjoy your I want to answer your hand so we've got another story in The Times which is about 2000000 patients a year put in hospital by medicine mistakes and prescription errors so that's quite worrying ready for people being given the wrong to use the wrong drug that can just calls harm obviously. And this can cause it to 5 to 8 percent of all hospital admissions. Where we know the same much tension at the moment about hospital to say why this is fair to say why these figures are rising is it is it tardiness is it stressful Well there's been some people saying you know for the pressures on some medical professionals G.P.'s for example is so great that perhaps some of these areas can occur but others are saying that it's just a need for more training and training earlier on so they've now said they're going to train nurses straight after their. They qualify rather then a couple of years later which would make sense hopefully. Hopefully that improve but the cost and impact of some of these areas can be huge and we did a lot of a lot of doctors and surgeons they have to have insurance in case these things happen as well as further down the line you know there's a there's an incident or there's a problem we need to be be insured for this as well absolutely you're absolutely in . Another story in The Times for dog walkers just to be mindful that they need to carry 2 plastic bags now that could be looking a fine of up to 80 pounds. And there's going to be. Kind of stuff going around some of the city councils can't go in fall. Offices will be coming up people in Kent as well asking how many bags have you got on you and can you show me them all really I'll be receiving a fine. So yeah dog will cause I'm assuming I am a dog walker every coat that I possessed as a doggy bags in them and I do take 2 doggy bags but one items if the dog's already used the bag before and then you get stop and say where you doggy bag they've already been used we don't believe you go into jail cell seems a bit harsh when you know it seems very harsh but am I think this enforcement office is for many things out there and all I think there is listen good to see you thank you very much. And we'll see you again it's almost too close to the academic research university of little after we get all we would dismal Steve and I cause we're always on the spot when it comes to the songs beginning with Victoria by the King Steve of nothing but look at these us Pauline Vincent of course plain Pauline thank you Janet Frankie cabby as well. Viva Las Vegas Baby Paul and the all Roland Perry as well Valerie for that was a big hit with Stevie Winwood to Beaver spiny a truck view to a kill. Shamefully look at that. Thank you and well done to you will be another one tomorrow which we will fail at. Intermission. It's 8 o'clock Good morning it's Wednesday the 6th of September latest b.b.c. Radio. B.b.c. Radio may not like it but it will be breezy though it is Breezy in the moment a breeze is going to stay with us through the day as well mostly fine sunny spells through the diocese a little bit breezy there will be the odd light show for some of us most places it will be staying dry highs today 17 degrees Celsius 63 Fahrenheit mess the way it looks for Wednesday Edge Lane busy as usual the traffic light failure though that's making things a little worse Montrose wait for you now Montrose traffic light failed and they're so busy the best of times that's going to have maybe another 5 or 10 minutes on the journey if you go in that way whether on line. B.b.c. Radio. Good morning good to have you with us now we were talking about the dentist briefly in the last hour Don't worry the will not be any sound effects of dentistry Why do they do that you know the dentist story on the telly or on the radios or let's play people a dentist drill it's really what they want to hear you know what no it's not but there is a warning of an emerging crisis in dental care this morning with figures showing only half of practices accepting new n.h.s. Patients want to find out what the situation here in Liverpool across the site is in a minute and go to the. Days when it was just a local church or registry office that to choose from if you're going to get married nowadays huge range of different places different venues but how about time and not in the woods Ok b.b.c. Which is like something else them I'm glad it didn't b.b.c. Radio Merseyside search even McCracken is in really good for us there is going to tell us more just before half past and 1st day yesterday on the brand new scales and I was question about the be it one of the answer was police dogs but I'll remind you about that in a few minutes so there's a new scales now is question on the way for you and that is coming up in 15 minutes b.b.c. Radio. Now have you been to the dentist lately a new study this morning suggests 21000000 adults in England haven't seen an n.h.s. Dentist in the last 2 years while 5000000 kids 5000000 children haven't been to the dentist in the past 12 months n.h.s. Data analyzed by the b.b.c. Shows that only half of dental practices in England currently accept new n.h.s. Patients but there's better news though for people living across most you start in Cheshire where there's been an increase in the number of dental surgeries taking on new n.h.s. Patients over recent years what Dr Bill Powell is chairman of the local dental committee and Little Paul and is involved in 3 practices in the city I'm glad to say joins me now Bill good morning to you now the British Dental Association says the figures represent what they say is an emerging crisis in dental care what your experience here in Liverpool Well this is nothing new. This is just a chronic crisis. The last 12. Tricks. Upon us. Where we all know got limited contracts to see a limited number of patients. So it's not me it's not that you don't want your kind of bound by by time and what you have to do with these new comes like. There was a strange snapshot year back in 2015. 1005 where everybody's statistics was looked at and then that was frozen in time and all our budgets were set and of course since then there's been quite different stances just coming on ations have come and gone but we're still stuck with that historic budgeting arrangement so some practices that go a very small n.h.s. Contract. But there's a go logical trucks but everybody stuck where they are right is that wants to grow their n.h.s. Practice costs. And yet another practice who struggling to hit targets that you have to hit with an n.h.s. Practice and so actually return some of the budget at the end of the. That money can't actually be spent on a practice that wants to grow it sounds like a bit of strain off it sure yeah it sounds like a very strange situation that really doesn't it doesn't sound very practical so I suppose it's dependent on where you live as opposed to old thing. You could say it's a bit of a lottery and just a case of phoning around speaking to friends and just seeing which practice can get and then just put in with so if I leave an hour after if I live in l 4 and I can't get into my dentist but my friend lives in l.a. They're screaming out for patients I can't just jump on the 26 Boston goes who are late and join the dentist practice that doesn't work like that or you can you can get you anything she like there's no limit anywhere in the country. Find one that will accept you Ryan you patients Ok what about the kids as well mention those figures about the children there as well the cheap dental offices campaigning for more children to be registered. What are your thoughts on why it is a campaign to say the baby teeth do matter so there's an encouragement Now this is to take on the $1002.00 obviously the children or future we want to get people in this early as possible to prevent problems because there's no floor kids now not seeing the densest there's a lot sugary drinks around the sensations to drink lots of sugary drinks and you know 50 k. An abscess is. The biggest reason for a child to have a general anaesthetic now in hospital is to have the wrong taken out it's interesting that you say baby teeth do matter the fact that you've said that do you get some some parents who will say oh well they're only a baby cd going to get you problems through so it really doesn't matter that people say that. There's a little bit of that and unfortunately. Whether the system itself should be reviewed to make it easier for dentist to take on new n.h.s. Patients what without the risk of losing out financially and messing up the budgets . To be fair the n.h.s. Are trying to pilot new ways of working certain practices this is been going on for many years now and they just keep collecting more and more statistics and it's just too difficult a problem to really change. The system now really discourages patient practices from taking on new patients the chick in a high lead area because if you take on a patient needs lots of fillings you get the same the same patient would only one feeling we had earlier on from a lady who said she couldn't get a dentist appointment for where she lived for her children so she's decided to just treat her kids teeth herself not a great idea there's buzz oppose needs most There's no need for that there's always going to be somewhere in the city especially in a couple there must be hard for us to act is this still taking on new patients or have my 3 practices this one in l a l l 6 ensure that that will never turn into why it's that so really it's a it's an area where there's a high turnover of population. And we were constantly taking new patients on adults and children all right Bill we'll leave it there but one interesting thing well it's all interest now cause it was but one thing that I picked out is you can travel to any dentist in the country should you wish to do so or maybe a fast get a boss or 2 but the will be a dentist somewhere full for you is that fair to say Absolutely and there is actually. In practice is to treat patients and some practices do have spare good. Use of by the end of the year. They will have the capacity. Is the new patient Bill thank you Bill Powell chairman of the local dental committee in Liverpool and interest in the his name you know that you can if they've got a space for you and the key is now if they've got a space for you go to any dentist you want within the country so what about the experiences of people not only here but in different parts of the country that these people told us their situation with their kids in themselves with a dentist it's been very difficult even though I'm on tax credits and I get you know the tax credit exemption to pick up I still can't get into the n.h.s. That he adds has been really really really terrible because every day I call I mean to just keep telling me this is the space I should give Holly and a trifle I 6 months after 6 months I just was trying to get him a place where I was just bad just going to live a lie down to foist it to myself we don't time for a dentist Tyler actually had really bad t.v. She needed one taken out so we had to go it's been emergency dentist and after that we and you didn't find it very well like Dennis were really dry for a long time still me and dad haven't got. The kids yeah I mean that I'm going to dentist but at least we've we've got the kids and we have one lady earlier on who you said that she started to treat because you can get a dentist charge it started to treat the kids herself what would you even start with I mean when you were a kid she had a thing called to think I think it was called in some kind of chemical all it did was Norm kind of normed or one side if you phase I've got to say try that bit of brandy dabbed on a bit of cotton wool that kind of work till the dentist the next day or a Little things like an eye dropper and it's called Truth 18 she kind of just dropped it on the tooth but as a probably just kind of norm or one side of the body so it kind of work but as soon . As the headlines this morning this Wednesday the 6th of September 5 men charged. Connection with the Hillsborough disaster had you to make the 1st court appearance later today from the North Korean ambassador has been summoned to the Foreign Office to receive a formal protest at the secretive country's latest nuclear weapons test and islands in the Caribbean and making last minute preparations shelves are empty food and water which tends to happen when the hurricane is on the way they start to build up all of the houses in the windows etc as well Hurricane One of the most powerful Atlantic storms on record in the sport Liverpool teenager Ben Woodburn was again the hero for Wales last night coming off the bench to settle one of the late goals keeping alive the hopes of qualifying for the next well cup and 28 team. B.b.c. Radio and what the gulf result as well internally as slow traffic chooser in l.a. Traffic life I'll be on edge late at Montrose why congestion on the line right through to Dumville road a Milton Road queue in traffic heavy traffic of a normal on the eastbound at the m 6 junction 23 that's at Haydock congestion right through its appeal road. 6 a junction 23 Haydock again conjecture congestion right through to junction 25 again it's all highway traffic at the moment no major incidents but everything has been slowed down oh well 5 point 794-0953 is the number you can call us if you know something that we sort of Maltese packin in no way is John Watson's packing in at the end of the season so we were average Ok early on saying that's why we never want to jinx. He's doing well and he knows his stuff is full of stats and you know there will be a maybe a new generation who think I was a little bit old now he sounds a bit. You're in safe hands with. Members Calcutta they have a big. Trademark as well but the commentators that you know I said difficult thing to do I listen to Holland see it will come and see as well and hear how do they do it if it's a goal nil nil rain and on a Wednesday. And Phil goes in from wherever How do you keep it interesting for listening to the scale surreal see it is just for me it's not just because your you know you know the home teams but you know you come in season on the way to yeah you might not know what the play is and they know everything about them it's amazing to think they make up some plays names. Show they get on this well there's a really really great on the comments and on the radio but you may know of anyway that Marty did and they used on fantasy football you know Frank Skinner and they used it was it was one of the German players whose name began with a k. Ok And it depends on how you pronounce this but just went for it so I can say about multi multi mention. It's a little classic So I'm going to play a little tribute to Joe Matson is packing in at the end of this season will do after this legend. Your voice your story I was 21 and got married. When she. Radio 1968 with his big break on a match of the day 4 years later he was there to describe non-league Hereford famously knocking out Newcastle out of the f.a. Cup was Ronnie Ranford I think was there was another one for you might have been let's have a little listen to some of Marty's career high. It's here we are. Through just you Let's have a little when they said Well yesterday we were talking about if you worked in this particular industry. If you did this in the fifty's in Little Falls you could take things home not everybody chose to take them home but some did it and the answer when 1st call it just lying back on yesterday was police dogs police dog stuff to come in and 5253 into little and the dog section from as you saw police or Liverpool police as it was known then and if you are a dog family leave many kennels at the called Shop or you could have it as a pet have your dog as a pet and take it home and the police would issue you with a special police dog kennel as well. Jimmy Mike he's coming back to McCracken is with us to tell us more hi Jim yeah morning. I'm here at Green Acres in Rainsford to be honest with you only a few 100 yards away from the very busy East Langtry road. She can tell by the bed and the rush of the the breeze amongst the trees I am a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and I'm with the marketing manager. Who is here beside me and I say that's the biggest 7 you've ever seen in your life. By and large this is a world away from the noise of everyday life now it's an absolute pleasure to work here it Green Acres and to welcome families investors alike it's just a beautiful place to walk into flats and we have many people just just to walk and enjoy the actual woodland itself to me then a little bit about the business that goes on hey because your 1st funeral if that's the right expression it was it was back in in trying to be called. A celebration of life it all depends on the family some families who come here they call a celebration of life so we've had bike if you in roles where it's been plain you know to be while most of us and we've had the traditional we've had the religious ceremonies as well so you know it we have to make sure between the traditional And we have the more personalized. I would say that we both really so that can be a religious elements if you want or it can be totally devoid of that it's entirely up to you exactly that yes and what sort of response and feedback to the. From the people who choose to come here and have the what's called a share may their ceremonies here. The feedback is just absolutely amazing that's part of why the staff love working here and the families they absolutely love to be using the tranquility of it many of our families actually choose Green Acres because it's part of what their life has been so they've enjoyed walking in the Lake District they love nature they love but song so they come here they lay flowers and they'll go into the hole and they can have a cup of tea or a coffee is completely different well I met you a few minutes ago in The Woodlands and then since then we've jumped on this lovely little golf buggy here and we've got a couple 100 yards of a path into this new fleet. Tell me where we are what's this place called Ok so I she go and see the world and you've got all keyed Wallach where I actually stopped by Darby no named after little Darby as part of his estates the right we've got woodland walk and we've also got a beautiful Larry called Clayton May is absolutely smells and looks absolutely amazing and then I should come out of the woodland we've got an old sheet which was planted in 2014 and it's actually started to bear fruit now and many of our families they choose the old shit because perhaps Mome had a perch in the back garden or a plum tree and that there's always something that resonates with our families and why they pick a certain spot in the world linens and I myself my mum and I She has a plot here and will do more and she chose it because it was just something different she actually calls it have play in the country and so it is a it's it's very much a personal choice the families will come here and they will choose their location they might because they're like oh trees in might be because I pine trees but it's very much the family's choice here so it's still with us but she's picked for one day in the future she has Yeah yeah she's very forward thinking she said. I am done I'm so sad now it's all paid for and she know it's you think about the rising cost of funerals it makes sense she doesn't want to bed in me with that even though wake me feelin she she feels at peace now she's she's a living should absolutely should special business that you've got the moment you are expanding or you are diversifying and you are now able to host weddings on this lovely size as well reality yeah we had many of our families who chose comes was in that they've chosen the spot and said it would not be lovely if you did why didn't say it because the view of the world when whole it's you know it's sealing to all glass windows overlooking a beautiful valley I'm well I know we've actually got 5 sites across the u.k.
