That's how I know it is but on that was previous versions of that song from shocking blow and that's what you get these songs that come around when you are of a younger generation you don't know that it's always been done by someone else not always been done by someone else but you don't know what has happened one example that someone is tested with is Al always who I know by the damned This is my version of it but I think Paul and Barry Ryan that's probably a great suggestions another one something in the new man and I Just Called to Say I Love You by stating one of those the 3 great suggestions and they slip just Glenn in stop Paul thank you for this this is just such a good list but for this. Radio Manchester travel in. With mine. 3 names. I'm joined by the head i'm excellent and the customer director Stephen Roach there's lots to discuss including new thing that came in at the start of the yeah we've introduced the 10 pound charge for people that wish to travel using that concessionary pass on try Metrolink train services antisocial behavior on the tram network bringing the tram to stop people as a chance to get out on the questions that really matter to you when I go face to face the people that work in the state with Mike Sweeney Wednesday morning from 9 on b.b.c. Radio Manchester. Thing. In Marshmallow and by steel with a happy a good afternoon the news today is that dairy milk thinking about having a dairy no milk bar where they use protein milk instead of counts milk this is off the back of Greg's last year having their Vigen sausage roll and boosting their sales by 9.6 percent vegetarian vegan recipes are massive I've been of a time for 25 years and it's so much easier to eat vegetarian now than it ever has been proved to a team that with a nice pizza who is a pastry chef and she's a lifelong vegetarian Pru has been and is a bake off George and she's the founder of Leith school a food and wine and they've teamed together to create a book called The vegetarian kitchen pizza and Prue joined me last week improves start off by telling me that this book is something that she wants to run for quite a long time 25 years ago I did write a vegetarian book and publishes insisted I didn't use the word vegetarian in the title because this is nobody would buy a single copy. And anyhow I finally got the title to kitchen home this book what has been the changes do you think. Mainly the changes in the paper work of nowhere come up to the fact the vegetables can be absolutely delicious that you can use them as the star of the show they didn't have to just be some sort of extra plucked up the side of a pork chop do you think that is chefs have some part of that because often chefs used to hate they had it as I was going to say that they used to really I mean I didn't say this bet in the soup but pretty close that they really did not like bridge chairs which is stupid because they can make more money to be put it brutally because vege is much cheaper. Than meat and I've persuaded my chefs in let's restaurant about 25 years ago they were all about 30 years ago that all we needed to do was to to. Take the vegetable side dishes that we used as garnish like let's say a little boat of chickpeas and carry or something that went with the meat ball or whatever to use that as a main dish and 2 or 2 to make that the star and just make it a bit bigger and then they have chefs suddenly realized that they could actually make more money and guess what suddenly decided they could subtly It was $5.00 men so they had 4 vegetarians with their best friends and I love the fact that this miss a much more mainstream now I mean I used to find every vegetarian menu that you would open up in restaurants you know be you'd be faced with a mushroom is also maybe a Spanish or a hoss ready early and that was kind of the standard vegetarian option that anyone whereas now it's so nice to be able to choose from 5 or 6 different things just in a regular restaurant without having to get a special budgetary restroom and this is you know it's still a little bit sort of starchy based on them they're always you know they're pastoral or results or b.s. Or or something and I think the point that people miss about vegetarianism is that you can have just as much depth of flavor and sort of that satisfying main course feeling of being more meaning and rich and flavorful with a you know a vegetarian stew or Absolutely I think I do still tend to lean very heavily towards past owners also but I went to a wedding once and I had the same as everyone else and I with a slice of pizza on the side really has a vegetarian what is the secrets of vegetarian cooking to thing I think just using lots of just nature so much flavor in there you know you want to look at the fresh lemon juice the things that will lift it and give it interest interesting and I think that and also I think taking a little time for non vegetarians a trick is to think about it carefully. That you know takes just a little bit more time to follow a recipe or something it's not just non-vegetarian seem to think that vegetarian cooking is a pile of edge on a plate all boiled with maybe a little bit of butter on top and if you take the trouble to I mean what does one recipe and in the book called Penny occur Kyrie which is one of Peter's recipes which I'm not cooking all the time because it is just so delicious and it's just a very light sort of south Indian curry very easy to make you just need really fresh spices you make it like oh. Nearly all curries start some onions and garlic and then you put the spices in and then you add the tomatoes and in this case a bit of cream and then the pin and Canary is a very light almost spongy cheese and said makes the whole dish a very pretty because it has spinach in peace put in at the last minute which is very green against the yellow of the Curry and it's just light and delicious and I think the trick with cooking as well is to approach it not I think a lot of people who eat meat approach it from the point of view of well we're taking me to house of this dish What will you place it with as I think is that it would have either a better vegetarian meal if you scrapped the original idea altogether and start you know make a bit just a vegetarian dish make it the hero it's a. Place you know that particularly I mean I thought exactly it's not the law thing I mean Peter you being a vegetarian your entire life is a lot of so prejudice or. Even a love language that we use we say beefy to be strong and we do you know the sense of say me was that we knew that people see budgetary was as weaklings Well I'm going to say 2 of my brothers and I were brought up vegetarian and didn't eat meat or fish and that I thought was expert 4 and I'm nearly 6 that so I'd say. None of us were missing much you know that growing up. The radius is the he said he is come to think of it some is that he is the littlest he can still be strong good even just very very frugally talking about the new cookbook which is out at the moment is called the vegetarian kitchen. Just you and I'll b.b.c. Radio. 3 songs that stand the test of time. Today Imagine by John Lennon an albatross by Fleetwood Mac.
