Is also planning to vote against it during a special sitting of Parliament on Saturday he is the party's leader at Westminster Nigel dogs the bear lot has forced Boris Johnson into somewhat of desperation measures in order to avoid trying to get an extension he has been too weak or by far to get a deal at any cost and the fact that matter is that he held his nerve and held out he would of course got better concessions which kept the integrity of the economic and Constitution of the United Kingdom Mr Johnson is urging M.P.'s to come together and back the deal 8 extinction rebellion activists have been arrested after gluing themselves together in front of the Supremes court to protest against a ban on their demonstrations in London 8 other protesters were detained following disruption on the Underground network this morning one was dragged from the roof of a train by angry commuters during the rush hour at Canning Town station Adam Ramsden who was there said the demonstration was counterproductive not pick the right people to talk to you go on we support for the course you're not going to do that by disrupting working across people's journeys trying to get to my Many of them once here I was like myself you're not really helping anyone the extinction rebellion has also been dealt a setback in the courts this afternoon they've been refused an urgent high court hearing of their case against the Metropolitan Police over a London wide protest ban the threat of industrial action by thousands of transport workers in London has been raised after a union said pay talks have broken down the t.s.s. a Which represents white collar workers employed by Transport for London said its members were facing a paid cut general secretary meant well Cortez said d.f.l. Radio London it's 5 past 6 on a digital radio 94.9 f.m. And on b.b.c. Sounds this is London this is b.b.c. Radio London Eddie Nestor's drive time good evening to work in the subpoenas he radio learner's drive to share with me to thank you caused the name or what happened right that it's not a women show because we're dealing with a subject of miniport I don't want you to get that idea this all the guests are women. Because yesterday talking to the producers of the show I told them that I was looking through my b.b.c. App and the b.b.c. Have done they saying with $100.00 influential women around the world and it's really interesting annoyed look through it no look for 2 women I had 2 women in my head that I felt would make the most influential 100 list around the world one of them was on it and one of them was no and the wonders on air is going to be on the show at around $640.00 today and an orderly the one that snore but I would be grateful if you could talk to me its world men opposed to you tomorrow that we're talking about it today because we're showing this lying on something that affects 50 percent of the population and it will sorts of myths around it will suits have to booze a big push in the Labor Party conference to get it recognised to work seeking time or for even get some slack for I've heard about the embarrassment of standing up and everybody seeing you do gigs I'm doing a gig on some Ne Ne empire for Rudolf and 80 I'm doing a gig on Saturday and I should annoying know in those 2 gigs I'm going to be standing up talking to be able and half the audience are going to have their final and often off and off for them so it is something that we have to talk about extinction rebellion on the train oh my training Canning Town and whatever that's the push people meeting regular people that say that's what I saw but you can tell me about that and Boris is going to do you know will he get it through will find a way under 731-2000 are being shouted right now as he said Boris Johnson's got a deal but what would it mean he urged M.P.'s to approve it in a special sitting on the Commons that's scheduled for Saturday now is the moment for us to get. Bricks. And then together to work on building a future partnership which I think can be incredibly positive both for the u.k. And for the e.u. And I just remind you when I waste that we are a quintessential European country solid European friends neighbors and supporters Well joining me now is Catherine Binoche professor of e.u. Law and senior fellow u.k. And changing year lovely to speak to again Professor thanks so much for your time is that is it done then we then yet. I mean is he now in the same stage in the same place as stories I'm a was when she thought she did go to deal and came back and it was turned down by 230 that. That's right but what's different this time well the front end of her deal is still intact the backend of her deal that's the Northern Ireland backstop has been replaced by a Northern Ireland protocol whereby Northern Ireland essentially stays in the e.u. Customs Union but it also stays in a custom churchy with the u.k. It's going to be complicated to work out they'll be a border down the Irish Sea But it does mean that the u.k. Will be leaving the e.u. As a whole smuggler's paradise it sounds odd to me Well there's going to be an awful lot of technology a lot of working things out and it's going to take quite a while to get all of this sorted but the reality is there is a deal and that means the theoretically we go into period what's called transition where actually for you and made things look very much the same until December 2020 but all of this is to pay and on getting the deal through the House of Commons and the House of Lords on Saturday and then even if that goes through on Saturday we've got to get so-called walk through come webisode withdrawn implementation bill and this is a really important piece of legislation no be seeing it would just work out when the one. You bravery and did come forward to talk about the fact that there is a possibility of extension. Then it may not be granted does that not paint us into a corner that Boris really likes Well absolutely because it means he can present his deal to the Commons on Saturday saying it's my Deal or No Deal and by the way I know that nearly everyone in this chamber doesn't want to know do bricks it now it was junk food younker who suggested this he's the president of the commission but it's actually not in his gift it's the it's for the European Council to decide where. To grant an extension and there the e.u. 27 have got to act with one voice you see you're straight and sensible hugely intelligent on the arm cynical do you think there was a conversation about perhaps you could say this please you might wonder whether that was being said because remember Boris Johnson has got to get this bill this deal through parliament. You've got to jump to hurdles he's got to have what's called the meaningful vote which is what's going to take place on Saturday and he's also got to get the the while the bill itself through and at the moment he knows the numbers of Christie precarious Manaslu far as Well that's right now actually quite a lot of those 45 probably would vote in favor of his deal do they might do it with an you know sort of group with gritted teeth because they feel they've been treated badly by birth Johnson but nearly all of them vote voted in favor of trees amazed and they recognise that leaving without a deal's very serious hence the Ban Act which they voted for for which they were kicked out but the d.p. Is still saying nope no no can do and the question is how to get them on board best guess please Prof Well it RINGBACK may be that they are lent on very heavily by them is the business community in old unarmed who desperately wants a deal because no duplex it for them would be very very serious indeed it may be that there's some more financial incentives for the day you paid to get more money to help improve the situation in old Maryland it may be that the d.p. Don't want to be quite so exposed but they're tough cookies and I tough negotiators astri's I'm a that's a that's a diplomatic answer the you know a you're not here as opponent that's not your best guest please prof I think we will be leaving I think we will be leaving I think if this deal I think is going to be very bumpy in the comments I think there will have to be an extension big. The wow will take some time to get through the come thank you so much were to kick in sorry for pursuing you as classroom but Nazis Professor vu Lawrence senior fellow in the u.k. In a changing year so we come back to that I imagine between the fact let's do it now Joe now where you say good you know but you heard the professor there you agree. Well when I heard it this morning. It was I was of the opinion. Precious self enough of the call types who are going to wait for Mail on Sunday now I'm not so sure. I thought it was just a joke or it was having a little child he was presenting to reason with. Them because they cause. And what this lady a little bit about. The only talk the inaugural and they're not the only union It's called the Northern Ireland the Ulster Unionist Party which was the party that signed the Good Friday Agreement higher. Except today. I know that one of the problems has lead to relying on a lot of business a lot of tech companies going to know that island I think by Tony downs like get desolate at the street folk for the Oaks the union is called again rather than the day you play. And if you take the cause of the whole hard line approach against the all right everything but that's 5 not. So you think they'll get the deal through like I do because they could make enough labor and use. People like John recently they need people like that and job it was the m 2 bongs really. Homely yet many down jobs. We lost him. After 7 actually I do want to finish our conversation could I enjoy our conversations while you are thinking about what you're going to say to me I want you to think about what happened on top of that train or counting to give me your thoughts please Karen in sorry I'm coming I'm sorry for keeping you waiting is barely. $25.00 heading up towards junction 16 the I'm 40 this is causing problems for the m 4 the I 40 heading out of London the Polish woman moral and local roads the anticlockwise m $25.00 a junction 23 that's a medical incident so traffic being held large number of ambulances at that junction m 25 anticlockwise where it meets South means green stretch of the North Circular slow progress in the clock counting to change road works I 13 out of town slow from. Between 7 and 8 we have some good fun last night time joints on 5 to 7 it's proper drive time so we're talking about proper subjects in a proper way a decent way but after 7 o'clock he gets really interesting Heidi and you'd be talking about this. This was a case of ham stood meets Canning Town the middle we're talking about extinction rebellion by the way the middle class protestors who are probably clueless about working class life thought that going into one of the poorest parts of London and dreamers disrupting the commuters was a great idea obviously they bit off more than they could chew travelling on the Underground is hell in a moaning at the best of times swampy on the train roof would've been the last straw for the who's used at station I'm not supporting their reaction but I'm not surprised remember when they were outside the b.b.c. Last week which of b.b.c. Didn't mention much you lot weren't too happy when I got to see different parts of the building if you see have we care we didn't that it was a back door state to the guy let's say people let me in 400 is a year's not to come in the back door to move anywhere they didn't really work at they were I don't know what do you think I mean if anybody has a nominee done in a couple of times because I don't have a new mood job sadly this job that turn up in the middle of the afternoon but if you're going to work at 738 a lot of people pushing people shoving is just level wife. So you're trying to get in Egypt started what do you happens when you say to your boss well I couldn't get there because someone was standing on top of the tray it was horrible the mob mentality disappointed me it shocked me but it didn't surprise me what did you make of that. Is that turn this not mean that extinction rebellion of lost the support that they would have had what about the Prime Minister been a verge on saying it's going to get through my professor saying but it's good it's true he's done it he said and he's done it they have really I mean 107312002 1st Ok 807312000 text 81 triples 3 and stole your message with the word alone a Karan I kept you waiting please forgive me quite a greeting How are you. Very very good love your show and I'm ready to like to take you are highlighting miniport I think it is a great topic. We're going to leave you. Again it was the middle of you would you feel the need. Why is it a good thing to be talking about it it could well be don't talk about it enough and in fact probably say that the work you might you kind of don't want to highlight the fact that sometimes when we should actually but you know peeling the bases or that your brain fog which has been my major symptom is you know what could you do you really are impacted by your whole mindset on Iraq I and yet you can't mean by that the person in front of you you make yesterday and he says comparable I think you figure out where you make a right to what happened to me why so let's let's go from the beginning because I like stories and Kate's listening to this is a man opposing relationship would be able to work this together how did you just look at you Well look in the mirror and go Well it's about that time how did it manifest did you go to the doctor did you fall out with people just give me a little bit about your experience place. So I'm 52 and about 6 years ago I had to have an ovary removed. And I suspected that the pond made a pool Gratian or there would be spade up. But if you can continue to function as it usually does and so I start today in a sort of mild talk crushes but within that context also having you know it's a very very busy working life traveling for work giving presentations Meichi people and such me at the same time also feeling that I literally couldn't remember things I actually couldn't remember things. In one instance I will team to a meeting well and a bloke walks up to shake my head and always knocks who are you and you looked at me like What do you make just today. And I do not have to do though for me it to me it was radio because I've always had a great memory for faces of stuff like you know Bob Marley word was up with the something not on me something not right so you guys know. Yeah well sort of putting 2 teeth 2 into together and I went to the doctor and they won't miss It's a weekly paycheck considering any a child t.n.t. Blood case such spring timeline and I Googled miniport sometimes bit of both clinics and I went to a just response let's look a little down from him in a place just play with me I'm a bloke so I'm not processing in the way because I don't have any experiences are you still having your monthly thought when not now the time when you're putting 2 and 2 together or use brigada case. You. Do have a service provider Are you friendly face you're wants and needs still the same as they were. Not quite not. On Fire identical. Don't do now 52. Are just trying to get away we. Understand that. Something. And you go to the doctor. Really giving you what you want and you do lots and lots of not just women actually people. Looking and I become an expert if that happens that means on my age is this I might be going through that is that where we got to play activity then what do you do you go back to the vets are informed I went back to my g.p. Extreme form I went to a different side effect of the practice and again. They weren't really paid to do anything made just considered it a you know it's part of life that happens and I just couldn't afford to have brain fog every day anything which is what could not cannot function Maigret So I look for alternative options what would you do. I found a private medical clinic and. Made appointments explained the same term I finally found some of that recognise that and said look he's a blood test and obviously. Had had some and they said look for a good candidate you know the right form of heart disease and. Cancer and so on the respect of all respect for him and. My raises it came up with a good candidate for bio. And 3 months after going on back. Can I get the feeling if you and I talk again he could tell me the story again with all the different bits but I can't do that because in this part of the show I don't have as long as between 7 and but it is really one really important to go when I was occurring and just think very carefully before you want for only. One advisory . Would you give vent to n.h.s. G.P.'s about dealing with somebody like you who knows your body who is aware that something has changed and who isn't being listened to. Questions might start. And. You know what kind of you know what what he said day to day nice look like a while and get some good taste taken both did she think they should they should ask the individual about their life start and actually listen and take some blood test to actually prove it out that the person you take in a piece of writing in front of them care and wish you the best of luck and I'm glad that you found sadly it's taken your wallet but you found something that works for you discovered in so we were talking ahead of World men oppose that which is to mark a he sure is a man of course a relationship coach I mean that question was also not in the way or a thought because actually I want somebody almost to speak to G.P.'s because I get that again and again you know I know these people are incredibly busy and in fantastic jobs but that woman knew her body right. Hi I'd say yeah her story is extremely common on the frights say that women turn up g.p. Said Jerry knowing that something isn't as it was and that they they want to be heard and they will surmount says and they want. And sadly she pays don't receive the level of education themselves and the men oppose and therefore many of them don't feel confident in and having that conversation I'm prescribing or or discussing alternative options She'll make you right but I have to resist that to some extent because many of our G.P.'s are women. Yes they are women and and they are amazing women but it's the same story whether you're a man or a woman if you haven't had the in-depth education on what the men a pause is then. Keep pace don't feel especially confident in having that conversation and just because you're a woman you may not have heard July meant a pause by that time so you're not speaking from experience or they themselves may have found that they sailed through them and cause without any problems whatsoever well let's give them a little time because the way the symptoms run a fest in the challenges the length of time when they start they all vary don't they every woman's experience is different Absolutely it's as unique as your fingerprint. There I mean there's 3 core variables to this so that's generation so how long it last so for some women you know it's a few years for others is over a decade or so and then there's the symptoms of which there's a list of the nice 30 to 40 symptoms which most women aren't aware of really and so you can have one and you can have all of them and it is really that variable in the last one is the severity which she experienced and that can be a mildly irritating thing completely debilitating and for as I said 25 percent of women don't have any symptoms whatsoever and 50 percent of women have some symptoms and they can manage them with some assistance but for the remaining 25 percent it is life changing it is completely debilitating. Not question now but in a heterosexual relationship and I've just seen the figures for the show and I've just seen the ages of the people and I mean are you annoyed youngsters compared to the majority of people listening to the show what is the gift in a hitter's sexual relationship what is it a go I need to know and understand in order to give the backing showed the empathy sympathy understanding that one would expect of a partner what help and guidance can you give us. Ok well that's a great question because guys know even less than women do and women know most women though very little so. Really it's about understanding that your wife or your partner is not being completely mad they're not being unreasonable on purpose they are struggling on the inside and that the the fact that this goes on every day day in day out we call after week month after month year after year it is extremely hard it is not like as you say the monthly which women might have $2.00 to $3.00 days of. Before their period and the time of their parent that they surface it might be up to 10 days a month which they're having difficulty for and I'm not taking anything away from night can be extremely difficult but for the men and for those women next experiencing a Badman a pause It never stops so they need to understand that. That talking is the 1st point of cold you've got to talk about it you've got to have the conversation brilliant they would talk again you've been fantastic and appreciate your time very much pressure is a minnow pause and relationship coach We're taking your calls on the men a poor is how did it affect your relationship how did it manifest how long did it last did. The people know and it to embarrass you did you have difficulties and have to tell your boss that were they sympathetic What about the g.p.s. Specter that has fascinating to extinction rebellion and it looks like Boris is good is dealers also are also on our agenda 107312000 text 81 triple 3 and start your message with the word London 630 it's time for the headlines. London's headlines on will Schindler the prime minister has called on M.P.'s to come together and get breaks it down after a last minute divorce deal was agreed by u.k. And e.u. Travel more from a court to. The London School as I recall and this is London's latest sport let's start at Tottenham manager Morrissey approach Tino has ruled out doing any business in the January transfer window Spurs are made a poor start to the season and he had previously hinted that January would be a good time to fix the situation I have put you Tina had an emphatic answer when asked about making changes in the New Year and no I don't believe. No really I believe in the bill because I believe in the player that. You know today you know very well people that is going to say we need to change or we need to do something you know or in or out but if it's my decision is is going to be I want to stay with my players to ask no Alexander lockers that could return when they play Sheffield United on Monday he's back in full training after an ankle injury Meanwhile pos in I am really insist Meza still has a future at the club if he continues to work hard in training Crystal Palace defended James Tomkins has signed a contract extension and 22022 Christie men tech a has also extended his stay so his park into a 2021 now to lead to a new Lleyton or it manager call Fletcher says he's honored to take forward just an edge in Brazil legacy Chrisman right Fletcher has been appointed as new head coach of the Edinburgh passed away suddenly at the end of last season and he says he can do all that all he can do is support the hard work that went before him can try and be just in a copy how he did try and behave how he was. Definitely trying to keep going on in the good work that he's done here and keep trying to improve the good work they done with him instead of the time before so I. Think it's an important that we try and get that across and work as hard as we can to to to achieve that finally to rugby union Eddie Jones has made 3 changes for the Indian starting line up to play a straight guy in the World Cup quarter finals most notably there's a surprise in mission for Inform George Ford he drops the bench with open fire all moving to fry Hoff and Henry Slade coming in at center Captain Pharrell has played center of each of England's previous games of the tournament bases he's happy to play whenever needed and are played by off 20000 for. I'm I'm fine with playing far off. And you know it's more about it's more about how I can fit into to the team and. Getting the person we can perform. Courtney Lawes replaces George crease and Saracens Marquis Vinny polo makes his 1st don't see 1st start I should say that's made an opportunity that he joined says he does that spring training exceptionally well we feel that his experience a nice his ability to be in point shows in the train warrants his selection of jam hours been great for us and says it was again General again it's a difficult selection as a related sport. Digital Radio 94.9 f.m. And on b.b.c. Sounds this is London this is b.b.c. Radio London and the mess destroyed. Tell us about the world of sport when him said in essence this is Troy's time Monday to Friday where 5 to 7 on a Friday about 5 to 8 to all those other days and their hour is really great fun and I'd love you to listen so what are we doing a self comfortable get involved what's on the show extinction rebellions on our show we've been talking about that fella gets pulled off a train thank our to hammer him an incident people particularly one woman I'd love to get hold of a Stop stop stop really did they go a step too far you heard it or bulletins they're going to take a moment to reflect after 7 o'clock we'll talk about that we've also been talking we're not talking about actually just telling you the deal. To people today who were absolutely adamant and a couple of people off. Who say yeah Paris is going to get it through so we reckon away might not be that bad after all what are your thoughts and mainly today in a show where all my guests have been women thus far and all my stories have involved particularly women don't exclusively we're talking about world men opposed to it which is tomorrow. Good day to you doctor. No There they go that day they didn't let me try something different than a couple nights ago seconds for my. Phone as I do and I saw her story about 100 influential women around the world and. Some satellite live in my head and 2 women would be on there one of them all was one of the Wasn't I'm really really really proud of this woman she came onto the show after reading her story about an experience she had had it was not skirting experience she'd gone to a festival somebody take a picture up a skirt she went to the police it was very little that they could do when she has campaigned in campaigned and got the law changed and I am absolutely delighted to welcome Gina Martin back into the show how are you Gina and good how you did that sound like you. Like me that but the campaigning Warry and they. Wonder Woman the person who has grown a lot changed to prevent me in taking pictures up women's guts Eugena Yeah it doesn't sound like they it's really it's I think yes it's really hard and it's how it works we don't see any of that from self and then when you get through a room to. Be Called up in court I think the man Oh I know I've turned over nearly you know did any of their stuff. Anymore I mean no one understood you were aware of the stress or did you only become aware of it when I also yes to Coralie you know they told me it was announced it's really nice so it wasn't a big shock and surprise me they told me a couple days before but it's great it's a great lesson so made people not want to give it to you you went and had a look and he would look. Me up did you do that or yeah everything was not anything I'm a mum 0 one thing they. Now of always so about if from the 1st and it's quite a long since you 1st came in have been we had a chat and talked about and we need a state where. The on and off air isn't right so at some point something's going to happen I don't know that I personally expected it to turn so quickly but that's a testament to your eco and of resilience in many ways how important is a list like this and what's next for you Jeanne. I think it's very important I feel like a lot of especially with the number of less We don't want to be in for a long time in Iraq there's a lot of specifics as a lot stories ecologist make sure you have things actually going to change so it's really nice to make good if you can to help impulsivity just keep doing this Ok thank But yeah as of late it's really not as good as and also it's a lot of a lot of this work that these women who are on this list of it's not. You know praise you don't see it anywhere that is doing it on the road in their own time they're exhausted and they're pushing so I think it's great to recognize them and for me and then. Another some kind of reception for next year at the moment I'm taking So this is a time not just to enjoy they kind of aftermath of being able to finish that 1st so on and then I'll get back and actually continue to go to school talking to kids about consent and about being raised in politics and stuff like getting them excited. So. Yeah I left that February. Just because I know that we had a brief chat about some of the stuff that I'd read about some of the stuff that had come for particularly women in the public eye who campaigned Creasy the other person who I thought would be on the list. At that. Are you ready for that. No telling what is I think will burn list of that line that make it. So that many people have that many messages but I think we can do without any anyone can so I've struggled with that that's the biggest they have struggled. To do that. So I've looked at. Me to get women on particularly women guess that I've spoken to. Brilliant things in you. Keep doing. We. Don't do that thing that everybody does Don't forget because all come and all start right horrible things about you as well Ok it would be sort of the Savior to me. Look after a certain level of great speaking to you Gina on that list couple of other people who I think a magnificent champion need to be celebrating coming on the show as well needs to have kept you waiting I'm sorry. I'm very very aroused thank you now you're talking about the men opposed now you're a doctor that irritate you specializing Yes I am a gynecologist. An ecologist on the n.h.s. Clinical experience for over 35 years and I also happen to be one of the 1st life style medicine physicians to be the case so I have a particular interest not just operating on women or advising them but the medical aspect and of course but also guiding them through how they can you know manage the metaphors better. Let me become my wife and tell and tell you what she would say. Drugs and concentration of what people eat oh yes to an extent as well as sleep and stress triggers identifying a lot of things and actually starting much earlier in life you know people often wait till they become they stop their periods to start you know suddenly starting to eat better or realize that they have to put them. You know like a doctor on him every minute. Subsonic him and becomes like white noise it becomes like well you know nobody listens to you when you speak that you say I have a 150 kind of you know when I say 5 a day you say actually is a disaster what you need you have to be much more I think about messages in a specific as to what we can eat what we should do. And how we could live to give ourselves a better chance. So my advice to my patients which works very well is 1st of all to put themselves 1st often women don't tend to do that and as a result become what I call the sandwich generation so they end up you know running after everything except looking after themselves so then they reach a quite a difficult situation where they're suffering quite terribly from either gonna conjugal problems before they become an opposable or once they are menopausal so that's one of my 1st things that I when I sit down with patients I will usually ask them about a little bit about what life is you know how do they sleep what what actually happens do they find it's just what are they eating would they like to find different ways of you know adopting ways of eating as well as exercise with how and how are you doctor I'm 58 Have you been to her doctor Yes actually I had a really manifolds at the age of 38 and I you know don't start reading much will drop into it. Can I take a number talk to. You Well yes. It is my sense of you don't worry don't worry not my wife doesn't get it my mom doesn't get it this place. I think you are magnificent I think you put an argument and an era of discussion across. Personally or more a show where I invite the guests in and by that I mean that yes men produce a yes men will talk to you know will take your number and at some point in the future you come on and we can debate this in more depth than in greater length. I did not mean that I was going to tell you for a date I didn't. Say. No no no I will go I will go. Thanks very much I had I'm coming to you. So we got another here person but this was quite different I met this woman in really weird circumstances where I know who she is or why she's quite interesting after we've heard what's happening on one of the roads from being . Big problems for the m 25 anticlockwise up top it is closed from 25 to 23 between Enfield and south Mimms this is because a multi vehicle accident injuries involved lots of ambulances there are 3 buses involved the m $25.00 is closed from Junction $25.00 to $23.00 on the anticlockwise there is a diversion a 10 southbound pass and filled on to the North Circular westbound Cross which is extraordinarily busy because of road works back onto the a one northbound past the m 25 is closed and filled on the anticlockwise carriageway very slow clockwise heading up towards the m 413 to 16 and this was because of an accident things never really got back to normal there is a real struggle through the haze. Britain's worst winds are the m 4 with traffic trying to point past this the I 40 is particularly bad heading out of town the saving a 406 change Palm is growing very slow because of ongoing rope works I 13 Alfred's way very busy heading out of town tonight through barking a reminder then the m 25 is closed anticlockwise from 25 to 23 that's westbound through hard to cheer between Enfield and south names because of a multi vehicle accident ambulances parked up and there is a diversion and a reminder that on Saturday there is a big March and rally in central London people's vote so there will be road closures in Central London as it heads up towards Parliament Square. Just before the news. This is London is a very nice guy he does a huge amount for the paper strength to strength boy. This is really well this is actually true in American high street for Robert Redford once this is London would you. See the King's Road on the King's Road. Is quite sort of seedy and running down these London now it's just an extension of . B.b.c. Radio. Or whatever it takes so much for joining is extinction really I get the feeling we're going to talk about this. Maybe no somebody's getting on top of a troop train then game pull off and then the angry mob deciding to have their way in terms of what they think that's normal in London that was it these people have been protesting this trying to save planet earth don't you know from the destruction of the virus that is humanity no too much. You think about what happened at Kennington if you haven't just Google it and you'll see it's just pretty scary I think also origin. We have been talking a pep the men are pools it will mean a pool stay and get the feeling some people are embarrassed to talk about male and female actually should it be talked about mostly at some things just not be talked about too and actually what the experience been for you in terms of helping other people to understand what has your experience been given a switch crew from home church how are you Hannah. Not too bad I do thank you for that summary about that doctor was just too interesting. Quickly I've had to delay but that doesn't mean that you are most interesting fascinating and and do all of that is subject to me what you know about well what happened to me as they tell you that I had breast cancer and I was just 15. And basically what happened to me is that when you go through the whole it's over Asia. And then you start likely to mock the family she's. The home. Actually bring down the manifold. To 3rd woman of had Tell me about this to taste really interested what other times I've done and you know I've done it for long it know how to but it's interesting how the stories come through today and I don't know if that speaks more of men or quite often if you've got a bracket have to have. You know not just the men opposed the other operation as well that brings on the men. Prepared for e. You know what the hot flashes are just. Sometimes on. One of those calls I work at work and we've got those so you for even. Come on. Now I've got well there he is on and I think of work I'm going to do and from. What was going to bring up so I was going to be sad because Mom was on something else but I had long made and I are still not yet in the fluffy. And really up there at the moment the Munch me bad the memory. That's a great memory and honestly when it was time to beat the gradient to the right and I couldn't remember. First of all did you have a right I became. Did that to me did not do that to you anyway. Well yeah I mean the j.p. Did by that she said is the real thing you know it was no more temporary coming back and then a codependent. Friend and it just clicked and what a little. Telling you something. I don't know how to tell you. Give us a piece of. Oh I was going to side with. You for all of us to try and embrace the way I mean I'll know kind of my child take and I think there was quite a few things that went wrong with I just say I see them but I am I thought they would like lucky to still be as we like them hot flushes obviously the type of back bring it back again. And he just he really can. Because you saw him very simply it's tough yeah not the way a lot more help somebody that hasn't really made a different Go to me or he did when he came across now Karl are not another one of the all. You know I think that also kind of is saying is today a good day. It's about a good idea feel. Like . No no no no we've got lots to do all together otherwise there's no way for us to go that's what happens people quickly these days you know we're going to take it easy Hannah kind of talking about the men opposed look it's about normalising something the more you talk about it what. A few things there and celebrating women today is all right Apropos nothing in a way I mean it's this 100 women thing around the world but actually just because we want to do it. I've got 2 stories to tell you about this person but just let me tell you how I met a. Boy Chris said it takes every dime Cressida Dick to come to a passing and it's really interesting because it was my 2nd time and I really honored to be asked to come and see new recruits to the police and a strange woman came up to me strange really good to me still I took it to be we started arguing which is the way conversations me usually develop stayed in contact yesterday when I went home and yes there was a pretty interesting day for me I saw this woman who celebrated 30 years in the police force she's at a varied career in firearm Special Branch a limb pig protection and most recently commander for Southwest London and you know this new borrow thing what have we got these 12 super Barros. I don't know if I should reference your aged tool put thank you very much for coming on to the show Sonny Bennett how easily I am fine thank you Eddie thank you very much for having me on one 0 yeah should I be you tell everybody you're right because I don't want to be doing you down I'll be I always get accused of being really familiar familiarities fine my rank is a chief superintendent in the Metropolitan. Place What why did you become a cop or what why why why Pilo What was it about that that meant that you thought that that was a career for you I was very lucky in that when I was at school I went to a careers fair and I spoke to some police officers there and I knew then that that was what I wanted to do I can't explain why but I knew that was my job I was in the 6th form I knew I wanted to go to university in study languages I like speaking German so I did that and then I only applied for one job when I finished uni I applied for the Met and I lived I grew up in Ottoman star in the London Borough of hay varying and I was accepted and that was 30 years ago and I've been so lucky that I chose the right career for me and I've have had and am having a wonderful varied very satisfying career yet these years and I think it's very very very much Bob I know it's not a no 30 years is significant for us because it's when we can retire and take our pension but many people choose to work on beyond that and I'm certainly not ready to. Leave the Met yet I'm still loving the job that I'm doing but it is 30 years for us it is a milestone which is why I tweeted about it yesterday in terms of. The Commissioner is a woman your high ranking one of the 12 super Barros a woman who was trained for women in the force I think it was last year we were celebrating 100 years of women in the police force what's different for a young Sally you know or to 30 years ago do you think well one of the things that's different is that now we talk about the men appalls and we definitely wouldn't have done that when I joined 30 years ago. There were around 10 percent of officers when I joined were female and now it's it's a part of. 2. In t 5 percent it's still not enough it's still not representative of London but it's it's very different the culture is different and we are much more open and I think the other main difference is that every role now can be done by a woman as well as by a man and you know we have a female commissioner. Who sets the tone of leadership for us and there are role models that every level and in every department in the metropolitan give a lot of questions for you and I have a little time but what was it like being a firearms cop as a woman when you did it was that different do you think to now. I think it was different in that there weren't so many of us. There are still not enough female pharms officers and protection officers but when I did it there were 3 of us on the department in Special Branch and I had a great role model called Rosemarie who was a a sergeant and I I saw how she did the job I saw that she could do it and I was inspired by her so I think it's it's different now and in that it's much more common for women to take all sorts of different jobs specialisms. All over the organization and it's and there's lots of support and mentoring for people as well we're going to say I mean Marco positions with you and some of the interesting challenges that you know we've talked about and some of the things you've overcome I'm guessing that we'll probably talk about those in future months or whatever what a brilliant achievement thank you very much for the work you do and your in my special women list how lucky you I am honored. Thank you. I'm very honored thank you I would talk a good said Look after yourself 30 years in the police quickly I got a call from the police force today. It's the police right they've got a show coming in and they're going to offer us up 2 weeks time we're doing a special a tell you a little more about that and all the other subjects in a little while but Billy I'm sorry. What I want to dump them 25 anticlockwise is closed junction 25 it's closed on the westbound through Hartford cheer between Enfield a 2523 South Rim strap traffic has been let out nasty accident plenty of ambulances the diversion via the a 10 southbound passed and filled on to the North Circular westbound Cross which is terribly busy back onto the a one northbound back up past Warren wood m 25 and. Kweisi shot multi vehicle accident 25 Enfield 23 South names but he reads b.b.c. Radio one trap. On the radio 94.9 f.m. And b.b.c. Sounds this is in London. B.b.c. Radio. I will disease at 7 o'clock am Wilson liberals Johnson has urged M.P.'s to back the Bracks it deal he struck with the European Union parliament will look at the agreement during a special sitting on Saturday here is the prime minister I would point out that as I say just at. The beginning Northern Ireland will be able to join with the rest of the u.k. In doing free trade deals around the world. And all the other benefits that flowed from membership of the the u.k. Market and of course without having a. Any checks any infrastructure of any current at the border. But the do you p.d. Who may be needed to get the deal through are opposed to the arrangements for the Irish border labor the Lib Dems and sampai are also on happy with the plans the hope and some Pancras. Is the shadow Bracks that secretary asked for Saturday I mean the main vote is obviously going to be a vote on the deal that you have a favorite for or against us and we will be against it and that's there's a lot about how tight that vote will be there are amendments going down there's a lot of discussion about referenda.
