On a very good evening welcome along to the show great to be back for a Sunday night it's sunny and shade here all night B.B.C. Radio London and it's a busy show for this Sunday evening there's a lot to discuss and talk about now turn up 7 o'clock on the show tonight we will be joined in this studio by Daniel Walsh has just released his debut novel for young readers and he hasn't chosen a fluffy subject about was it will dragons. He's going to be looking at the criminal justice system I need chop some falls to discover what happens when you find yourself the wrong side of the law so looking forward to having men delving into that conversation tonight after $730.00 we will have a musical guest she has all the way from Denmark and she's just released today B. Album planet cool so it's a busy show from 7 yes and if you would like to gamble with a conversation at any point because the 1st hour is brainwashed into a discussion based. Scenario which I guess you can have an opinion on how the numbers are we 1712000 that will get you through to our producer and we'll put you on the air and it does get busy so look. In this hour I mean it was quite inevitable we are going to be talking about bars John Johnson former mayor of London and former foreign secretary he's finally made it to 10 Downing Street the latest prime minister and we want to talk about this but particularly from the Bain community and we're hoping in and we are being specific tonight and focusing on the black Asian minority. Communities there is so many different elements to his premiership is the prime minister but it's interesting this week to have seen how people have been reacting many of course have looked at past conversations that he's made accused him of using racist language in the past so how diverse divisive is he going to be as a leader not only just talking about Briggs it because as much as everyone is focused on that there is a lot more of course to him being a prime minister say feel in a way and in that conversation this evening I weigh 107312000 you can text us one triple 3 Start message with the whole 8 shows we've been talking about Boris Johnson we've been getting your perspectives on Friday night and Saturday night over the weekend said tonight is a very specific angle and rightly so actually because if you are black if you're Asian If you are from a minority in or ethnic community you will have perhaps a different perspective than someone like Pearse Johnson is he a prime minister you can relate to Eton torch prime minister you know who very much is all the time not everyone even speaks like him nowadays in terms of the style and needs of language that he has so do you relate to him as a prime minister do you think actually he is going to bring in this positive. Change I know so I can do attitude that he's talking about on really is going to be a time for Prosperity 807312000 can you be a conservative Asian and I guess we just lost out there because right now some his his cabinet is the most diverse that I've ever seen and and some of the top jobs have gone to. The Bain community but they have got some serious backlash from the left you know the people who advocate no more racism I think they are being racist towards these individuals who have taken these positions pretty battell and jabbered. You can text us tonight as well I want you both raise start the message with London we're going to go straight into a fast track and welcome our guest tonight. On the set. Let's begin. The season and. Everybody's got. Me in the. Woods trying to. Get. Out of this conversation. This is. Some. Of the. That. Was. The Scottish. People. I'm not be to college that's not a this is a. And we have got a fantastic array of guests joining us tonight in the studio will be introducing them in a moment to get their thoughts and perspectives but we would like for you to weigh in on the conversation this evening the number to call as always is ever 80731000 you can also text disrupt the show all in one triple 3 stop the message of London and we are in social media as well Sonny and Cher and B.B.C. Thank you and again I'll give you the number 870 want 2000 will get you into the conversation with me sonny and my wife Jay on B.B.C. Radio London tonight about Boris Johnson he's on the menu and so is his cabinet and if you are a conservative and you're from the Bain community. You give your trade to do you feel like you can go out and say I'm a conservative and I am from the bank community. Do you feel more confident now because you've seen the cabinet and Big C I told you you know this is all just a bluff that that there is more diversity within this cabinet than any other before that and you can use any examples you like now give us a call 8713000 before we introduce our guests in the studio joining us on the line we have Mohammed Amin He's former chair of the conservative movement foreign Mohamed thank you for joining us this evening there is a reason Normally when we introduce you introduce you as the chair you are now former chair Why is it that you have stood down Miro Good evening I haven't stood down as chairman I voluntarily resigned from the conservative party earlier this week but back in June on June the 20th I was expelled by the conservative movement for him as a result of pressure from the party chairman primarily as a result of an interview I gave on B.B.C. Radio 4. In which I was quite critical of Mr Boris Johnson. So how he feel now that he is our Prime Minister I feel very sad I've been a Conservative Party member for 36 years there have been 8 party leaders during my time from Margaret Thatcher onward to Mr Johnson and while I've had some policy disagreements with every one of them that's quite normal Mr Johnson is the only person that I felt was morally unfit to be a party leader or the prime minister the person I thought I could never campaign for at all so I resigned what would be some of your criticism for Mr Johnson and even looking at his cabinet now do you think that there is more to this man and then what he's presented so far my disagreements with Mr Johnson and also the policy although I disagree about his most important policy which is directed but they are about his moral character. They fall into 2 broad areas the 1st one is that after listening to him for quite a number of years and reading closely what he says I hope form the view that he says things without really caring whether they're true or false and I find that unacceptable in somebody who wants to beat up country and the 2nd broad area is that. I think he is willing to advance his personal career regardless of the harm that it causes other people and I mean anyone tuning in to the show would probably think Muhammadan you talking about most politicians anyway what is so different to how you've just described him in comparison to any other politician somebody who has followed politics since the age of 10 at least if not 5 years earlier but certainly from the age of 10 onward. Politicians in general do not set out to consistently How long as they try very hard to tell the truth occasionally from police they're about to launch a war even if they're about to launch an election they sometimes have to say that they're not going to do it but in broad terms they do not make statements recklessly The only other politician I can think of was an important one who behaves that way Mr Trump Mr Trump regularly again make statements without caring about the truth or falsity in fact the American newspapers keep a running total of how many lies Mr Trump tells every day they haven't started doing that yet Mr Johnson but maybe they should. Not have it we're going to have to leave it there because of time constraints but thank you for joining us and I'm really thinking about your conversation and I'm sure we will get you in the studio very very soon thanks for joining us Mohammed I mean former chair of the conservative Muslim Forum joining us in the studio and I'm sure that our guests will have to spell it is tonight very much not only about what Mohammed said but also in general with regards to Boris Johnson being our latest prime minister big thanks to all of them for joining us we have Amandeep Singh by goal he is a conservative campaigner We're also joined in the studio with Cindy you she's plot political reporter at the Spectator magazine and joining us in the studio we have historian publicist an activist Patrick van in and find me also tonight we have 5 the she she is the director of the think tank class which is the Center for Labor and say who studies thanks for joining us everybody you know. Surprises for a lot of people that Boris Johnson is Prime Minister. But I really like this discussion and already Trump has been mentioned and with hoping that wouldn't happen so we can just talk about our prime minister without thinking about another foreign leader but those comparisons being made he wants to start off tonight with the reactions I suspect Firstly we should go because you're a conservative campaign actually pointed after hearing what Mohamed has said that he doesn't trust. Boris Johnson as the Prime Minister Noda told I'm very disgusted by what my mother mean has been the truth is that Boris Johnson has simply just now installed the most diverse Cabinet in history and it's more than the Labor Party has ever had. Put together he himself is the grandson of a Turk Home Secretary is a daughter of her Ugandan Indians refugees the chancellor is one of Pakistani immigrants and former secretary. Jewish Czech refugee but then you see that if you take all of that into consideration but then we look at a politics that is very conservative and so if you don't apply to that kind of politics and some of the you know some of the rhetoric that we used by. Boris Johnson when he was on his journey to becoming leader of your party and also the leader now of our country some of the language and some of the pictures that he painted didn't look positively towards the black community towards a Muslim you did towards the Asian community so on the how different on the country so calling black people pickaninnies and having water. Melon smiles. On the country he won as mayor of London the most diverse city in the world yet twice with more than a 1000000 votes each time beating Ken Livingstone if you count the votes or ethnic minorities across London then I was still talking about his rhetoric and what how would you describe the actions always speak louder than OK and if you look at his record as mayor of London he delivered for not just what you have delivered for every single and no and it delivered disproportion so is OK as long as you can you can come out with the geography turn it into millions of dollars that it is going to finish and then I'm going to jump straight into I don't ask you a question so if someone had called my friend that even if it was taken out of content that's just the language we don't use imply company right and it's a politician using that language to describe a certain person from a sound community letterboxes for Muslim women wearing burkas and all of your opinion is about that I don't think that would ever. Use that would not be an encouragement to say that this guy is actually thinking about that individual and what they're going to face on the streets tomorrow but then I do say at the same time that actions. In the words of his politics you know you know whatever they are is somewhat of a bell and it's what the country has voted for it's what London voted for twice and you have to say under him as mayor he cut the moderate by half road traffic incident cut by half those are things that disproportionately affected a few minority Let's bring in our other guests as well and get their perspective so that it's not just one sided tonight 1st Cindy European school REPORTER Can you see the angle that I'm in deep in a lot of concern to support coming from Yeah absolutely and actually a lot of being me people who do you see does well you know we forget that a lot of G.M. Need people who voted for to leave in the Bronx that you know that I think some of them yes I'm just saying I don't always know what is called a racist but I'm like I'm sure my exact. And fascinating why I mean the biggest group in that ethnic minority leaders sector is South South Asians So it's fascinating to think why there's so many people from that part of the continent very unfit to leave so I think it's not quite fair to say that it's a white thing to have happen the white middle England thing to have happen this cabinet Yes it's divest taken a sticky but also just because they represent Bragg's it doesn't mean a necessarily bad for the ethnic minority What do you all thought. I would say this you know to talk about Boris Johnson as somehow winning the countries is not true of course we know it was only Conservative Party members that were allowed sort of complain about campaign one fuzzier he want to minimize that yes but I would say to that is that you know democratically it's just not true to say that right now if you had a general election it was 17800000 votes no but if you look at the live conversation there was more than his voice that was I think they were very careful as you start after technically not a fraud was also you know everybody didn't like Britain I pretend I don't mind it's all in the past that is his face so I mean I'm not in the Camp David I mean that's just fact. In correct although he did win in London twice that's right yeah when you look across different ethnic groups you do find that he did perform badly among . Very disappointed in your point become back when he said actually I'm correct you want to look a little fishy that you can come back he did win one twice but when you look at amongst ethnic minority treats he didn't do as well with those great him and spending when you break them down and generally the ethnic minority vote has stayed very loyal to labor in London in both those elections really so you know we have to be careful about assuming that somehow you know to minorities and I think you know I went. Yes a knocking on doors and people did say to me you know I've heard he's a racist and they knew exactly about that watermelon player I knew exactly what that is greater than interrupt everyone's sort of points name a lot it's really on this this is the thing I think a lot of us as people color might be thinking about having a cabinet that yes has a couple of brown faces right so what we might say is sort of kind of what impressions from what you just simply cannot say that. You could I don't know I think is this how you. Finish your point I mean if you're calm and you're great where you think that was bold CARIO. So what is representation for right so is it about is it enough to say we have you know if we've got these few faces and we are I'm currently in terms of the number of M.P.'s we underwrite the Senate by about 50 percent they absolutely do you want more 2010 there was no female Asian M.P.'s full stop that's 2002 that's not that's. Really why you had them on small you that way but what is that representation for now when you have cabinet ministers that might be people of color but they are themselves plain into immigration policies hostile environment policies and so when you have brown people to poor in black and brown people is that progress or is it just because someone we are with the conservative vote is that you know this point that if joined up to otherwise there would have gone to and I party said people have different views Exactly and right I want to say is this different camps about why we want representation so for some is the knock to see those faces right in this for some of us it's like actually for politics and policy for so long has been biased against certain great so hasn't considered us so it's always people then they're not fighting about these issues then is it the kind of so here's the thing that's the question So when you say representation if I want representation and I want diversity right then I have to understand that when these kind of platforms open up for likes I do job and also pretty Patel I know that there was going to be some politics that people would not agree with them but then I seen that diversity aspiration is something that you know is something that immigrant communities that it's a part always work towards So when you've got these individuals in these places of power I mean so job is the 2nd most powerful man in the world right now he's No 3 in the country right now in the country Yeah he's number 11 story so then I would say even though you know some people might know something with him but he's also someone that says I don't practice Islam I know he's also Reeve he knows I don't have to do what has people in that position that his politics has not the same country that right that's fine. Yeah I want to separate those things because we're having a conversation about representation that's what I'm saying is is that it's is it and this is a question I'm not saying I don't I say might this is I mean in part as well I think that this is just common is growing even if it's brown people to point out the brown people that's OK because as long as that Brown Oh that was it but the same time as if I wanted to write the For me the me as a progressive So yes I want to see policy change that's why that's not good and that's very hard on you are you saying the policy change by what black and brown people or this policy changes a whole full back about the I'm what I'm going to change to make sure that we don't face the same levels of domestic discrimination as we've had so in society we know that people with MS are in operation foundation is by no means the cross to sightsee and we Harry is it comes out in our policy so they don't rag spending cuts have hit women of color the most and that was never and I know I know Treasury officials I've what simplify long time I never looked up at scripts with the most affected so what I'm saying is I'd rather just have people that understand these policies all disproportionately affect in certain community I respect that but that's a Patrick I will hold out for because I'd really like Patrick to we had to get into this. Race partially because this is the income of the studio. And you can you go ahead Pardew but to get to know something and say what you're doing or so. The comment is on the certain level there's a degree of diversity so in terms of people from represents in that office in terms of Hindu Muslim even though they might be saying yes it's fathers and there is you know on the road to the minister's bucks you need to compare Tony Blair's government to 2003 because in Tony Blair's come 2003 you had probably more people in senior roles pull both tongue Scotland. Radio. Come back to the show you I was in Sonny and say it with. A clock when done takes up the airways but is got here then we're going to double the songs now because I would guess that we want to have a say and we don't want to take away their voice so if you would like to have a go have a go have a go if you would like to have your say the numbers are 871-2000 I mean now is there on Twitter says Sonny and Cher The show is so good especially to divest a thank you she says the majority of the studio 19 that amongst by name community South Asians and specially of Indian origin Red said voted for leaving the biggest numbers so on surprising that Boris leave cabinet house for. War and Peace of a of Asian origin within it a point to consider says there are thank you thank God they're joining us this video we have deep thing bagel he's a conservative campaign a very vocal they support Boris Johnson tonight Cindy you as a political reporter Spectator magazine were what he was Lee Johnson did himself was an editor at one point was they Patrick Ryan in his story and publicist an activist we have Pfizer she hain't She's director of think tank called class which is the Center for Labor Labor and station studies we had quite a fake is there about the cabinet but if we were to focus for a moment on Boris Johnson as prime minister the key question that we wanted to ask you tonight is what do you think Boris Johnson can achieve that Theresa May could not when it comes to the Bain community perhaps unifying some of the tensions but also we know how divisive bricks it has been as a whole let's start off with yourself 1st Patrick because he really didn't get the opportunity to give us your perspective do you think he can actually do more than Main could in terms of bringing bringing the community together as a whole for the shorts because on this a number of top spots him winning 2 terms in London but you look at his record in London around race quality right post to him just getting popular votes so in the context of the particularly the Afrikaner been community he slashed the funding for Black History Month. Stops a break from black history month 6 whole bicycling it's only now with Citicorp same with the same with the saki as well that was last and then me and I mean the comments he made a number of years ago you know it's only just recently it's sort of some apologized you have the likes of doing Lawrence Poundstone of over specked in the community who has a ton of autonomy he's disrespect in the black community so a lot of black people in London you sort of look for Paulus because he starts his base presence and votes Comus bucks if the majority of people. Or don't really trust him because he's recalled on race equality not just for the black community but all communities is wanting so when the key issues really trust a number of organizations have written to Boris Johnson to keep the race disparity unit that unit was created about over 2 years ago because when the United Nations did a report on race called him Britain it found that Britain was actually formed behind and served with my made this commitment that she would across all they think of the partment they would look at they should round race disparity if it's all be me communities and put measures in whole range of stuff when the litmus test is build bombs Johnson not only keep that unit but take it to the next level I've been involved in the risk on the floor 18 months and then when the scandal is not being resolved completely So Boris needs to with the new Home secretary particularly Patel they need to do a number of key strategies to make sure to restore the confidence of the can I ask you when you look at pretty battels appointment to the Home Secretary you scared about because in the past we can only talk about you know where they voted and how they've acted in the past does it make a bit nervous that he's home secretary right now and getting the results that you're looking for with your campaign are personal I'm worried because for 2 reasons. Obviously the been the big announcements to be made over the last 24 hours yeah policing great when they win over the din the new police officers and community safety and stuff like that but actually there's a hold of the north into Joost and relax the stop and search regime we have a disproportionality not just simply on black teenagers but on Asian teenage Yes because London such a small thing and 2nd thing are often should those the poor people people who are public still British because the state's not been sorted out because the Home Office and she'll probably willing to deport people to demonstrate that the got the strong fist to play into the bricks that. We look when we see when we see people like pretty good Patel and in the cabinet let's not get that they are conservatives and that their policies and they show you their leader is you know Boris Johnson back to Boris Johnson is that what he wants to show is a firm grip on policies when it comes to immigration so that he can you know so he's not losing more votes towards people like not your project his party woman I wish it had stayed in the Home Office the sort of. Thing yes it's great there's going to a chancellor in the good but the last you know the lesson Clinton if you will be launched in September and even the report was leaked reports leaked bottom for us shows structural racism in the home office so you you were nodding away there. You agree with that may have stayed in his job oh well maybe I mean I'm not sure that it would have likely and I would like to go looking I think like I was not into the fact that pretty much I would have very different yes on this and pretty but I would don't quite know exactly what he thinks but touch of it was actually the one he fought against a reason Mais 30000 pounds immigration with national income and he hasn't yet he said in a party wants to abolish Johnson signaled he wants to go. To tens of thousands are between immigration level limit so it is just really interesting not just because that right here doesn't mean that they wanted to put everyone as a lot of the back to it's especially about among voters is that we don't want to give preferential treatment to you immigrants we want to get more that treatment like a point system like a point is I feel somewhat we come back to this country and that's what we want in our country actually sounds quite bad actually when you look at a point system Australia has much much more percent higher percentage than a grant had a population and Rita hit did actually increase immigration if we had a point system if we were to bring about what posture is talk about in terms of race relations in some of the starts that you know I was referring to that what's your thoughts on that because it's clearly. No is no the truth is they are things going to close on the contrary actually because as soon as you think everything is that is incorrect you know and what I'm saying is that as soon as Boris became air he brought in people around him to tackle the biggest issues that were affecting young black kids and yes it did it took thousands of knife off the streets not to draw but of course not enough it cut the moderate by half and it made sure that we did not have ice single bar in the whole of London in the bottom 20 in terms of deprivation and poverty by the time he left office when he came into office 6 out of. 6 pairs in London were in the top 20 What do you say to that I mean. You can of course start in cuts maybe you know yeah so he had no control over that So whoever the mayor was going to be telling him that they were going to face these cuts if you were here for another term would we be the restraints that you've just Johnson had the same number of police officers in between 11 and 14 I think we can have got yet we've seen the murder directly touching sky high in London and it's disproportionately affecting I think minority youngsters when you talk about the murder rates or you talk basically the impact of not crime particularly on the ME teenagers Boris Johnson acted to prefer to him reckon as a host of mentoring and social programs but unfortunately he gave those programs to his mates so when the key issues is about transparency credibility and engagement with sticks they call them community leaders not to simply have your favorite couple of mates so it reinforces this kind of this privilege of I you know I have my mates we know what the problems will engage with the community of credit is this you know is this something that you're also working towards trying to gauge the community and so having the right people in the job as opposed to what you claim your mates doing the job and it is you that next time. Credibly complex and not just about the number of cases that's one factor yes it is you know it's you've services mental health services it is those really like in-depth community projects and having nice work is then knowing those kids community offices all all of those things and so this is one thing that we forget when we talk about the impacts of ethnic minority communities the often to race relations or immigration which is important policy but actually broader economic policy is very important has so I'm an economist by training and if you look at the ways in which like I said public spending cuts affected at different communities then again that you see every minority communities would be most affected but more than that those cuts because often those have impacted cities and impacted areas and you've seen the social fabric kind of come undone in some places like London and so people are being affected they don't feel safe in that if we are so if we're going to judge bars Johnson Yeah we have to judge him yes and if he keeps using divisive language yes on his immigration policy yes on his race relations but also on his broad economic policy like are they going to think about the equality impacts of the economic policies and right now not clear what those policies so when you look. We talk about the the business world for example Asian business have been thriving during the measures they have you know they're been celebrating record highs and you know so when the business people of this of this country have been abandoned and into another part of the world still investing in the United Kingdom we've seen this in the Asian business awards we've seen this in other award ceremonies where these individuals are still investing in the United Kingdom they have is scared away with the policies that been put into place I was talking to some local business people one of which is an Asian woman another yeah and both of them were saying that is affecting our business and actually in India 90 that has incredible. Wedding clothes shop and she said I just don't know what to do says that these affect you know basically I'm certain that you know all communities black and Asian. Because it is hard for us to get jobs and they do tend to be entrepreneurial and stop it so any uncertainty around and no deal back there will affect business and so you know as a consequence will have an effect on the Emmy just so we're going to travel would you want to know where your heart rate is interesting because now the N.H.S. Is going to the Caribbean to the Far East to recruit nurses Yeah so this is the Constitution that we're facing it's almost like Groundhog Day This happened back in time to the sixty's say that let me. Go back to make sure that the women's rights thing doesn't happen again just to make sure they give them the paper little to nothing just a cover up a riddle and the Guard story we know we know who ripped up the region and because it would labor in 2009 but not someone in the country that will be here for that long we showed service. But let me say white lady I said all right you know I've come to this country I've been in 50 years and was on a tour I was going but then you going to get rid of me even though I showed you know I'm going to tell you there's just a little you have to go to that you forgot part of that but I thought if I get to that Labor are equally to blame here and admit it's not true and I want to be honest when we wrote what we found no internet although in one of the Labor Government that lost at Patrick I don't think this was really happening was that hold that thought please because I because if you are people are trying to get around on that we just know where the traffic is such that it's OK it will cause I'm very worried about the moment trying to grapple with that because Boris is always a great bikes out there was crouching as though the rock to come sparks fly ball A Well you know Larry right let's get African child out with the idea. Thank you B.B.C. Radio London travel he's a latent still looking slave theme 25 clockwise from Junction 23 to 18 it surely would have to condition the end 3 southbound junction 3 light which is restricted there's a broken down who spokes in the inside lane to take a stick a few heading that way the end for eastbound and junction one at Maidenhead is partly blocked because of an accident. There are delays in the approach Meanwhile the mood in the Epsom right day 24 stays close southbound from the central road to Rutland drive often extant in credits very slow still for they wanted to northbound from the illiterate flyover up to the black tunnel and if you where any traffic problems give us a call and I we 173100000 if it's a diesel drops a tweet at B.B.C. Travel let's with the trains or delays of Virgin trains along the northwest I'm getting used to more for Junction plus 3 G. 7 East millon trains and Pancras from the i've had line problems and reduced Thameslink service is welfare to make it in B.B.C. Radio London makes up days just before 7. A very good evening Sonny and Cher were here with you into I don't know as you can tell a lot about guests and I have a fair in practice we talking about Boris Johnson other divests in his cabinet but also what it means for the brain communities to have a prime minister a light bar as Johnson having had a look and a review really his career so far as a politician and human Plaistow has gone taught in says S N S Boris is the original emperor with no clothes and he has disdain for making a mess of the British Iranian lady languishing in Iranian jell he does not even as that responsibility for has its regime he's got the air of self in tights and helped by a Labor party in disarray says You of course he's referring to the gory Ratliffe there if you've just joined in it's just fair for us to reintroduce the get IMO get their thoughts on the text but everything else is well we've got Amandeep Singh Bogle who's a conservative campaigner joining us tonight alongside Cindy you she's a political reporter at Spectator magazine for magazine that of course Paris was editor some time ago project Venona historian publicist activist and we've been having a chat tonight with the director of think tank class which is the Center for Labor and Social Studies just before went to the travel project you did hold your thoughts because. The. Not when you talk about wind it's not just a conservative issue you know labor hostile to take some blame you want to responsibly offer all political parties form a 947 on would have been involved not just with Russia is not just simply about people that's by the count in from the Caribbean heritage Africa but it was affect the Southeast Asia other communities where this part in the wider context rather hostile environment it's affecting people of color you know that compared to Australians or New Zealanders a loser except of because of immigration policy essentially is racist so all the political parties have been guilty of this but think the turning point was the creation a hostile environment created by conservatives in 2014 right conservative of the Conservative Party and it was for the 1st time ever gave state sanction that you could intimidate people create fear and steer about forcing people to leave the country my whole kind of the hostile environment which in many ways has happened in the streets of London the run the country the color bar no blacks not ours no dogs that's always been there but that was now in my statute law and mother question has come about not a difference and what do you want to respond perspective I suspect we Amandeep with regards to the situation of Muslims that are Iraq cliff and how he feels and I suspect there are many others that actually is not taking is that enough responsibility for her current situation and many others like her I think look Nazneen situation is a very tragic one she's a mother off I think to 2 young children and what we have to understand is the. Cause of her situation firmly lies with the mullahs up there on who are using her. To play international diplomacy or rather lack of it look we have to understand what we're dealing with here in Toronto and I think blaming before we get in and I let me know before we understand anything about Iran the home secretary at the time Boris Johnson now our I'd say for exactly at a time sorry he made it. With didn't work in her favor so whatever diplomacy away I just want to lose and so when you see Boris Johnson you know making these fumbles not even having the full facts in front of him and making a statement on some such a critical issue is that some of the. Shine goes away and this is where the criticism comes and makes it harder for someone like yourself to come and say This guy is the man for the country on the contrary I think it's all right to make mistakes where you could look at somebody else lined up to say yes but what you said he pointed to his point but the point Terry I know he's apologized after a big push he didn't come out and say I'm sorry there was like listen you need to apologize and take that your statement because this is what anybody want to apologize for the miners of to run used to go NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO football is about right. I mean what I don't even want to say that later that I don't know not about but the force to me like a statement or not is what you're gonna say sometimes only he's not exactly going to push shouting out you know show me saying like mad that you made a statement and you continuing you shouting does it make it right statement I have a hold on what he apologized for was what he said with regards to Nazneen has self not the Millers of Tehran it was with regards to why she was traveling in Iran and what she was doing there he was then forced to come out and apologize and he did something about this looks to me there's a lot of you here making a bigger point about Boris Johnson our Prime Minister we should. Bring up the Millers of Toronto but the rest of my but what I just got a little doesn't know what I'm doing really is how do you I should to you Are you are marginally half of the mullahs after I don't want to dump this regardless I mean this is again likely to cross I'm sorry that ludicrous that your leader Stan what I spend every day like I want to run but yeah I got to do the same guy who was paid 20000 pounds for going on that only I don't say let me go but I would say it's about have family have family themselves and who literally are you know you really feel family time you want to you. You don't have to tell you about the whole thing but I don't know that they're all because only bode well for me and we have heard what Boris Johnson I had to say about here to apologize it's a bit we're told but when we talk about when we talk about this whole situation with Boris and his and I go back to my point I was making when you bumble into something that affects a personal life regardless of what it was doing but there's another stab in the region in general is that you know. That he will get serious none of this get back to what we were talking about a week out of the Senate so what's going to happen there's going to be a lot of destruction of course. Everybody Where do you respond account for this right there is I dance party time I'm going to. Decide there of Boris Johnson made a mistake right he could have at least but what they do and this and I know that they are all primed to say this to say well he can't apologize for Teron and then 10 and to somehow according to this is old the sorts of tricks that we're going to see. Distracting us now we have to go back to the facts and we have to stay focused on what we need yellow star strengths into account to and that has to be on policy and that has to be about his line which we have found ourselves in this time when our country is incredibly divided and which we are herring you know from trauma and unfortunately some of that resonate in hand terms it's like people of color being called out saying you know I should go back I mean all of that when we look at someone like Boris Johnson holding to account at the same time the Labor Party is being investigated for anti semitism So if we haven't got an opposition that can stand and say you're wrong because this is that the other when you also been criticized for the same to have been investigated and there's a whole community of let's say. The Jewish community right now thinking we have the legions with the Labor Party and you know decades I'm not saying it isn't but now the same time how can then we can you know when we look at someone like Boris Johnson has come forward said I'm sorry where is we've just had an apology but I'll never apologize for that pickaninny let me just come back to the point look I would say this and I think that's a fair point right so let me. And I think that's a fair point and I like many have been very upset about the on Semitism point and you know just because it's and people say it is a little time because although no one second let's because it's like less than 0 point one percent of the membership you know a half 1000000 people the social workers and teachers and that's upset all of us because those people have undermined the whole movement yet now yes and many of us including Jeremy quoting quoting including John Ensign's that we should have that without fast and I was happened is that the number of resources invested into these investigations has doubled the speed at which those complaints mean that we are NEVER been by has been up by 4 times and absolutely you want to me disagreeing with the fact that you should never minimize race and I'm like so many of us a subset about that yes but to have some kind of equivalence or to create some kind of hierarchy of racism yet has been very upset and I've had a lot of other communities would not say me I guess anyone who's I mean this was one right it was always like so I always say look the Labor Party isn't the anti-racist party we need to be better we need to be better and just because we might be better than the conservative conservative party it to me is not good enough so we have to be deal if he want to step in on that point you know I mean the party's half 1000000 people and he's probably probably more transparent in terms of what could be involved with them I took my Labor Party to maybe other political parties so therefore I mean if it's a what structure or some science or political parties are the issue you know I mean a lot of people within the conservative part of town but she's one of them a phobia Yeah we'll do it will leave culture much commission to the same thing I'm quite sure for the basic point about Boris is his record what is his record what will he achieve on race equality reducing race in the qualities how will the members of color how will they respond to the community make a show policy in the home office or Tonight I will the real economy is make a quick point on that you. Said the members of color in that in that cabinet Why do we need to just focus on them why not look at the members themselves full stop because then it again taking it to race as opposed to their politics because that's the reason they're in that position that's the reason they're part of the conservatives not cause they're you know because they are because they believe in that conservative rhetoric which is their contempt conservative you know so why don't we look at the whole Cabinet as a whole and why didn't you could you go and look at pretty Patel to say all right now you're Asian Why do you sympathize with us because that's not how politics so why wish it would have me why but not about you know how does that work how do you why do you get the kind of I don't mean you know Bob just say why do we have to then look at the why don't we look at the whole cabinet is this kind of inverse square law OK That's OK can I. Experience that my. Passion will roll. There was. Something that looks great is there we'll put one of these kind. Of representation of your personal color you know represent a political party or any kind of public sphere in the public eye or the public can bring in Cindy for. Cindy. Would you go on time to the Son is the interesting point is really interesting and I think a lot of people in the cars have to party privately Yes I think that was a mistake yeah I think that was a huge mistake talking about another meaning to me and what I hear from Tory M.P.'s is that they say you know Well Boris himself is not a Details man he makes this sort of mistakes but he's that we need running our country other you know. But being in the whole deal in the 1st place but he delegates OK he is going to thank you all right you know now do be taken as an anatomy taken as a let off that he's a general he would like I got the best Let's let's start let's just say he he delegates he finds the best people for the job sometimes that his mates and that's why he did at city hall and that's what he's doing right now in cabinet his. Havenot is the most energetic and innovative cabinet not minister more so than to be the maze you know he's got rid of people who have had serial failures like Risk railing. And he's got rid of he's got rid of ministers who didn't have many ideas of that and replace them yes I know agree with his ideas but he's Who pays them and he's not wasted a single seat in that cabinet as well as bringing in someone from electronic communism they compare him to where Mozart was in power when she had to come because they were quite common in the votes of a yes they were and look what the country did she got the economy up and we were trying to do and you know and you want to agree with her politics or you might think that you do it for me but at the same time this country was put on the map because of her I cannot make policies which I want the times are going to ruin our country going to read it and then here we are now in the light of politics she had prior to that coming but if you wait one second I don't meet a drug addict but we have to go to the trouble again this is going to come back and I am going to get final thoughts of interesting also to delve a little bit deeper into its need to come out from the stories that you have actually interviewed alongside of us here today that we have in the studio but in terms of their real understanding of some of those bumbles what it means for brags that the 1st of October let's get traffic in trouble now if you know I can and followed by the 7 o'clock news headlines of my drama. B.B.C. Radio London travel his latest looking slow for the M 25 anticlockwise from Junction 23 to 18 a chilly word after an accident the M 3 southbound has one lane blocked a junction street light water is a broken down who spokes in the inside lane and the M 4 coming in at junction 9 at Maidenhead is partly because of a collision that meanwhile in Morden the A 24 Epson road stays close south bound from the central road to Rutland drive after a collision bus route 80 and 93 on diversion and the T. London's News at 7 am my gear around the new Tory cabinet is being severely criticised after announcing it's going full steam ahead in preparing for a no deal breaks it it's working on the assumption that the E.U. Will not reopen talks extra funding to prop up the no deal plans will be announced later this week Scotland's 1st Minister Nicolas Turgeon has this reaction it's an absolute disgrace and beggars belief that Michael Gove is no saying that the government is assuming that we will have a new deal bricks I mean this is the same Michael Gove who has himself at Met a trait for a new deal breaks it would be he said that farmers might never recover from it and yet we have a government apparently with his full support going full steam for nor do you labor also says it will do all it can to stop the U.K. Leaving without an agreement residents living near a spot of a fatal stabbing in Southampton state say they are feeling traumatised and looking over their shoulder for fear of being attacked they have been calls for more C.C.T.V. In Bandra road but one resident claims they have been ignored riot police have used tear gas on thousands of protesters taking part in a pro democracy rally in Hong Kong the unauthorised marches have been trying to reach the official headquarters of the Chinese government our correspondent there is STEPHEN MCDONELL We're no closer to any resolution Another weekend another approx 2 days of street clashes injuries people being hit by 2 gas people were police bring him on bricks and they'll come out again next work goes to protest so I will what I want now is one person one vote Moccasin and it's not in intervene speaking to a lot of Tory members and the new agreed and he made the point that many of them do feel that he does Bumble and make up facts. How do they feel now though because one of the and this is what we really wanted to end on was him on this very kind of he's got this approach now which some people are very scared of of no deal and it doesn't matter we will be out in the 31st to tell you I think we need to make a difference between members and M.P.'s I guess I was referring to M.P.'s like oh but M.P.'s themselves you know a lot of the most important Boris because they are terrified we saw in the vote. Right now they are they think that Boris Johnson is probably the best thing that they could have in order to get prices through and say this even by the party and B. If Tahu Jamie Corbin's you know a pretty persuasive rhetoric on the other side of the spectrum and say that back in Boris Johnson but they were quite a lot of them quite surprised about the way he went through his reshuffle and they didn't realise that someone like anymore didn't even though it was about it it would be gone.
