B.b.c. Radio London the news is 7 o'clock I'm Greg McKenzie the Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe is expected to address the nation shortly his party Zanu p.f. Gave him a deadline of tomorrow morning to step down as the country's president our Africa correspondent Milton the Kosi says one of Mr Mugabe's mistakes was backing his wife Grace to succeed him as president alienating those who fought alongside him against white rule that's what many veterans who fought in the liberation struggle found acceptable they could not bear the thought that Grace smoker who was once a typist in Robert Mugabe's office would now be leader of the country it would be a shame as far as they were concerned to see gray smoke of it taking the number one job Dorset Police say a post-mortem examination carried out on the body of teenager guy a pope hasn't identified any injuries to suggest another person was involved in her death the 19 year old body was found yesterday afternoon on land near to Swanage the so chancellor the Hayes and Harlington m.p. John McDonald says that Labor would launch a 250000000000 pound investment program over a 10 year period he said the party would plough investments into public services and review all private finance needed to schemes and insisted that the taxpayer wouldn't have to pick up any of the bill what we're showing is we invest 250000000000 pounds over a 10 year program so about 225000000000 a year this is nothing untoward past governments have done if we don't do that we will not be able to keep up with our international competitors and what that happens is you know as well as I do when you invest. Look at what the recent report by pretty w.c. You get a return on that investment that covers only cost of borrowing the presenter and singer added John says he's deeply sorry for any upset calls dafter an allegation about his behavior but he has denied any inappropriate contact as spokesman for the songs of praise presenter said. John's accepted that his behavior more than a decade ago had been occasionally juvenile he's voluntarily agreed not to appear on the b.b.c. Once the matter is investigated for pronoun David Moyes his 1st match in charge of West Ham ended in defeat they lost to nail what foot to remain 3rd from bottom of the Premier League the Hornets' up to 8th Meanwhile tennis and it's the final day of the a.t.p. Than the best place to live in the middle of education in the capital I absolutely love London this is b.b.c. Radio London. Welcome back to b.b.c. Radio London you are listening to share when the 2nd hour of our show and in this one you sit back and we'll give you a heads up on what's happening in or around the knighted kingdoms of London you get United Kingdom's London there are going to other worlds other parts of the world have London there did a very benign United Kingdom as any London you don't know that London every That's in art but that's not London is it can be radiated. Londonderry by the way today we just wanted just anything I say just now I can tell you that 1st hour or so so I can already knows her real name is yeah I know that's what she's been doing since we got here today my real name is was sorry yes it is something that we didn't challenge in the last hour because we're going to revisit that conversation about language is the name just roll culturally how important are they and how you name your loved ones I suppose and your children if you'd like to have a chat with us about that they can it's some deviltry 40000 coming up from 7th us he will be talking to new authors who be in studio is name is in the pool saying he'll be joining us and $715.00 we're going to be talking about particular case which has been reported across the b.b.c. All of this week it's about tossing Joe how he is Scottish has got to see activists has been held in India and. He's being his family have claimed it's been tutored by police but there's a lot more background his particular story will give you full details on that from 715 before we do anything else wanted to talk about in a massive theatre experience which is taking place at Dish now the production is going to be opening up decision Kensington and it's going to run from the 27th of November right through to the 14th of December it's called Night at the Bombay Roxy . And joining us to tell us a bit more about the production it's shovel talk and talk around here is the Cairo of the human author the creative brief producer of night the Bombay Roxy as well Shelley It's a pleasure to have you on the show it's good to hear it's good to be here again thanks for having me on and always well killing us now Shammal and quite a mixture of extraordinary thing that you're doing where did the whole idea come about for a fee to massive production inside a restaurant like to show well I don't know if you know this and I don't know if we've spoken of that before about the show as we base every single one of our restaurants on this kind of on a story yes and we literally write a story and we will then have the story come alive in the restaurant design and this time we want to do not normally we like the idea that you're walking into a store you know some some guy has an idea and he he walks into a warehouse for example in King's Cross and he starts selling Cheiron then he builds a restaurant of the next 20 years in this case we thought why don't we literally have you walk into the story and when you come in you will not be at the opening edition comes in to and for the 1st 2 and a half weeks you will be coming to the opening night of the Bombay Roxy in 1909 I love that and what is the story how do we follow it say for example I'm sitting near the bar and someone else is seeing a guest on the other side of the restaurant how did the act is moving so that we can all follow the story at the same time how is that going to be is it going to be presented to us well you won't get exactly the same story Ok you will get the plot so as you come in you'll be guided through you'll meet the owner Cyrus Irani Cyrus Irani is a guy who is a bit like Rick from Casablanca or perhaps Carlito from colleges way who was a crook once and he went to prison he's got some money he's come out and he's bought this old art deco cinema and he's put a restaurant jazz club in it and he's hosting it so then he will bring you in and you may also come across in the evening the sort of bits and pieces and people who will drag them back into the underworld and you might come across a corrupt police officer you might come across a guy who was. In prison where you'll come across. Things beautifully well and there's a child down there as well who is a sort of love interest and so you will be seated and you will follow all of the plot but you will also have individual experiences so if you think of that whole it during the performance you might find someone or you might interrogated by police. This seems like a cross between I don't know if you know about these brilliant organization called a secret Santa It seems like is a secret cinema but in a restaurant scale where you are going out for a. 2 in one of the again basically getting a meal and you getting theater at the same time so you don't have to rush out of the theater to get your booking or the other way around exactly right so you're coming along you'll have fantastic the same food as always as well and you'll come in and the story will play out but actually you're sort of part of the story so you know your craft the audience in the bomb Iraq Roxy you're sort of there and you have a role to play which is which is being the people of the opening night and do you encourage people to dress up being Art Deco and people I want to go out of an evening would you encourage them to dress I would love it if they dressed up and I think that would make the evening even more special I suspect that some people will and will yourself are you going to be dressing up and are you going to be someone who's going to be starring in in some ways I. Know that every skulking in the corner. And see yourself you know the last couple of years Sharma whenever we have times we've had you on the show we've talked about kind of how to if he's been very important feed to mark each restaurant have its own identity and as you just said there that story that theme that runs through not only and visually but of course reflected in the food so what kind of food will people be enjoying and for this because it's not at the Bombay What's the I suspect you're going to match the jazz scene with the kind of Bombay dishes as well so what kind of food is it that people can expect. That we're going to be serving as classic in traditional comedy comfort food so there will be all the dishes that you might expect and and actually to some extent that you would have eaten at that time as well. But. And also the drinks are interesting as well for that's why we've got some specific drinks that we have developed which we think is sort of in period type drinks as well but the sort of classic food that will have this came up are and much open air and that sort of classic Bombay comfort food will be on the menu for the night and which ones your favorite Are don't know if I have to take maybe the Dollhouse they go national I love the dollar she loves her lentils being a vegetarian as well the options of having budgetary and and also non-bank is that very important in the development of every one of your dishes your menus really. India's you know the other huge amount of vegetarian. Vegetarian food is the heart of Indian cuisine of course meat is widely seen as well but we work really hard to make sure of a turn to the center aspect how important has it been seashell as well to open up all of your restaurant safer have been in London have been a common garden then you go of course shortages Well now Kensington How important is it in c.t. To kind of build that brand of Dish him in London before you venture out well actually we haven't had that in your last year much elation Gratulations and that's been a great restaurant and the Scot seem to taken to and it's keeping very busy and I have said I love Scotland I love I love the Scots I love Edinburgh it's such a great great city and it was a delight opening there because I remember when you 1st came in and with the concept and it was at the South Bank and look where we are today also you work with every closely you work with the charities all tell us about the charity that you work with well we work with them a couple charities so some years ago we were sitting around and we were thinking about I would contribute back to society and at the same time it was Ramadan and our chef another is a Muslim and he celebrates Ramadan and we were talking about what this was all about and I didn't know this but he said that Ramadan is about charity actually a great great deal of it which is you do as a cut which is your charity so we said during Ramadan Why doesn't the show I'm donee meals for every meal that we serve and and then. Actually later on that year they were all in we made that completely permanent and we were 2 charities one in the u.k. Called Magic presses every time you practice addition we don't need to know the magic person every time you dinner or lunch or dinner and we donate a meal to accept butter which is a charity and India is free school children and so far today we had just over 3000000 children why is it important for you to have that child. Obviously what you're doing in terms of you know your business at the end of day aren't you but what we are but it's really good to have knitted into what we do and it just happens every time we serve a plate of food it triggers off this this act of charity as well I think it's pretty important you know when we're spending money on food to remember that other people are less fortunate Well listen we wish you the best of luck with the new opening at Kensington as we've mentioned of course if you've actually extended this out for this fantastic night at the Bombay Roxy is going to be from the 27th of November right through to the 14th of December so plenty of time for people to come in to enjoy the storytelling as well it to seem thank you so much for joining us surely you know thank you very much thank you arts and now if you'd like further details and thinking God I'd love to do this would be a great night out while you can head to the website dish him dot com all spelled out for you is d. I double o. Dot com to shim dot com for full details as we say for the dish in Kensington a lot of not to the Bombay Roxy the extra. Q. To own the it was. Elite. That is a sudden a stone age on b.b.c. Radio London on the. Brand new film starring a fantastic Indian comedian who goes by the name of couple chairman he was here last year he actually did a sold out saw across the country with his comedy Well he's now starring in the new film such. And we are going to be continuing taking new calls deceiving Fede like it's get in touch some double 2 for 2000 we've been asking how many languages do you speak you can also text us one triple 3 start the message of London right now it is 715 let's get traffic and travel with Poppy. Hang on the Emma 3 London bounce like coming into town between $3.22 lanes currently closed after an accident so it's incredibly slow heading towards the m $25.00 on the m $25.00 itself clockwise long delay still between 16 and 17 as am 40 a maple cross one lane is closed between those junctions after an accident and also on the m 25 clockwise lane is closed due to a broken down vehicle between 5 and 6 I between the m 2621 junction and got stand and back into town to Hounslow the a full great west road heading westbound that's partially blocked to Jessie road that's due to an accident has also been a collision and used in an eastern road is partially blocked just outside Easton station in the city Regent Street both directions still shut between us it's like as a. It is nice clocks all keep your state with that and Redbridge one lane is but due to an accent on the north cyclists a day for a 6 heading southbound at the reparative roundabout that allays that as well you can tweet at b.b.c. Traveler call as well 7 doubles the full 2000 popular Carrick b.b.c. Radio London except I have 7. Welcome back to b.b.c. Radio. 4 am languages. Speak and why you speak them absolutely Now we've had his son who's got in touch enjoyed it she says guys are doing a great job although your translation from the job in Hindi you know to do is totally criminal we should probably correct that then shouldn't waste into our present thank you for that Mrs hasn't Sure sure they have it which means in short it she's written that in Punjabi he says when you talk about the word yes in Punjabi Now that's actually the question of gas in Hindi or in an literally translated means how in English so good the law is simply shortened version of If you were to say. Op Cassie which essentially would me how all you do I said but she corrected me on that one yeah but it's usually does tend to be kind of good that isn't what's up a suicide is and I know I'm right in this I'm not only one I used in conversation as an opportunity to rather than also the question is how are you just good that isn't what's up so you know we've got an expert I guess to a certain degree. The way you say it is I always say a story about Harvey Yeah Duncombe you like that as well as a. Serious look at them yeah serious Yeah So normally if you think you've got to be I'll go by you know me so that means I would respond to the on to that would be so it's also how you get the response none of us are perfect here in the translation I say Larry. Even even your listeners probably have the interpreter there you kind of think that. Because you're absolutely right it's the way that you will use the language in a conversation as to how it's interpreted and sometimes you can't translate that an English and that's been the whole point of our discussion in the 1st hour well thank you for getting in touch I really appreciate thank you for that saying show him Radio London here with you tonight until 8 o'clock we're still joined in the studio by to be singing who is the founder of the Sikh network now been to the old over the 1st hour has been talking to us about language the importance of language learning. The mother tongue is actually with the hits now talk to us about a particular case which has become viral on social media it's something that a lot of communities across London have come together to talk about this is because the lawyer representing a school to seek activist being held in India has claimed his client has been tortured by police his name is Jack tossing Joe how he's from Dumbarton in Scotland and he's actually taken from a street in the state of Punjab on the 4th of November and the reports are he was on holiday in Punjab with his wife and he was then taken from the streets and was arrested now he's not been charged with any crime and is period on remand has been extended until Friday but the Sikh Fred a ration has criticised the government's response and has actually said that Mr Joe How has made allegations of extreme police torture well been to date of course from the Sikh network we want to get your perspective on exactly what is happening can you put into context. For anyone who's tuning into Radio London why is this sign many Punjabi cross the u.k. Not just in London have really come out and actually protested Yes they in London as to what is happening to Jack tossing Joe how why is this so important for the Punjab community she's actually on global now Australia America. And actually your politicians from abroad now starting to actually tweet about this I think that is the reason why this story sort of touched people is I never heard of Jakarta saying until the 4th of November when his brother who's a lawyer in self called Great emailed his Member of Parliament. Recalled Joe. And said We're off to India the 2 brothers were off to India because our brother got married on the 18th of. October he went there on the 2nd of October he was out shopping with his wife who got engaged to in April so he was in Punjab for 7 weeks and April this year is the only year he's been to Punjab for about 9 years and they couldn't understand it because the whole family families from Birmingham will haven't turned Scotland they all came back on I think 1st of November and he decided to stay on a bit longer with his wife so just the way. His wife described in a plain clothes police been putting a sack over his had pushed him into a. Late finding out as police officers but was taken somewhere else the for 10 days neither lawyer story family saw him or anyone from the British like mission here's a pretty sets them and then 10 days later when he pays a call he tells his lawyer he's being tortured pulled apart what is what is the standpoint from our our government and also what is he being investigated for is it terrorism is it because this you know this I guess criminal acts I guess that the government can arrest you without charge if there is under say. If they believe you to be a certain member of a certain organization or if you're a terrorist and what have you why are they saying that why haven't they charged him at this point for what he's being investigated for Sony this is the this is the strange thing was we used to sort of British law so somebody gets arrested within a certain time period they will be charged or they'll be released right here it's been over 2 weeks he hasn't had a single charge leveled at him So what I'm most coming on this they because last week the chief minister of Punjab also the local police chief in Punjab they did release a statement public statement in which they have said that the reason that they are holding Mr Joe how is on the grounds of financing the purchase of weapons used in the killing of prominent Hindu leaders impinge on now even though he is a British citizen if he's going to another country such as even if that is his own you know ancestral home like Punjab ultimately if the chief minister of Punjab has released a statement they are within their rights are they not legally in that country to do exactly what they're doing whether we as British citizens agree with it or think that we in the laws of this country a different ultimately he's going to Punjab Surely he should be away. Are of the laws in that country and in that state that's right so what you've got here he's picked up a 4th 3 days later the chief minister of Punjab Yeah chairs a police press conference I've listened to him I've heard him talk and name this individual Now how can someone who's not being charged hasn't seen his lawyers hasn't seen his representatives haven't seen family being named by the chief minister the chief of police as having done these things but almost 10 days later no charges to level them so if you don't have a charge actually placed against you how do you defend yourself and I think that's the point is if he's questioned committed a crime then full you know the legal process should see its way through right but equally if an individual who is from this country he has rights and and this is where the u.k. Government story comes then yeah is they've been very slow so when he 1st appeared in court. They weren't there right. The brothers took his passport and this was the point they took his passport because that's what the police have been searching for his British passport they took it and they handed it on the 8th of November they handed in to the British High Commission I've seen them see I've seen a copy of it and then they flew back because they know that if he didn't have a travel document if he's charged he can also be out on bail. And that's why really they're not charging it so everything you're reading is in the media through press conferences through stories others all sorts of stories of course see your perspective from the Sikh Federation at this point and I think this is what a lot of people are trying to understand by the way for tuning into Radio London you can go to b.b.c. News website this is been extensively covered with the most up to date details regarding this particular case it's not essentially what the allegations are on this pretty says a pretty British citizen who's also his nickname is jug. And that's what the hash tag is being used at the moment I understand is the fact that you from the secretive nation u.k. Is that the British High Commission has not got involved soon and is that something that is worrying to you is that something that you feel that pretty citizens should be concerned about because if you're broad if you're on holiday that is exactly what you would want to do if if you were being held and you think wrongly you would want British High Commission to me involved that's I think what people quite at the moment on fully aware of was actually why are you coming out on this particular case and that's what happens when the 2 brothers went up I thought Look brother just got married you know and a lot of people are just looking up the facts and saying what someone who is unknown activist might have done things that are wrong but what do you think because they get married extended stay. And be charged with you know not charged but you know all the stories about what he's supposed to be involved in and financing and the point is I think he should be charged they should produce the evidence and they should go through the courts but the moment what you're getting is a British subject could be in any country they have a right full to make sure that consular services have access to the individual or the moment 1st meeting where they had had to be in the presence of police officers 1st time I saw in court the lawyers handed him his card business cards the British High Commissioner up to him called the police took him away and that was the day he was switch from police custody to. Judicial costly and there were hours he was taken to police custody which is being extended again today and the circumstances just seems so Lord So why does it feel that the Punjab police who are in charge at the moment have so many rights and disregard to the rule of law which is internationally put in place and not respecting the British citizenship that he holds Why do you have this kind of authority Wacom we put more pressure on them and why is our I guess in your opinion I guess how much more can we do from our counselors and you know I know that the from Scotland the minister has already been touched and doing the best he can but what more can we do at this point if they're not complying so what you've got is you've got a situation whereby you have to put this in the wider context that Britain has for many years very reluctant to criticize what happens in India because of the colonial part right now is there you know you know 2 ways about as soon as Britain says something which isn't mildly negative towards India they can play right but additionally here you've got a situation where trade between Britain India is massive always has been massive and it's even bigger so there are circumstances where the British are quite reluctant to publicly speak about any human rights violations but actually are not trying to defend the police here but generally the police in India where we've been job or elsewhere are poorly trained poorly equipped and often got political pressure to solve crimes right and often they resort to torture it's not that they're saying here is a Brit we must torture and they use this quite commonly and Human Rights Watch in various people written about this and it's just part and possible is but why would someone you know looking at someone like Jag and look at him and say he's an activist what has he done in his past for him to even be on the radar has he been vocal about certain subjects in India and what's happened in India and he's been quite critical so we put our 1st press release when the family got our. We went by what was being fought in the media which said he was writing a magazine and he was influencing youngsters through social media so that's what a lot of the mainstream media picked up later on the website never forget came up you know I think he's to run this Ok now. What we said is actually if someone is in this country running a website that they believe is breaking a law in this country what they should have done is reported here to the authorities that somebody living in the u.k. U.k. Citizen is doing something inappropriate you know influencing. Youngsters breaking the law while you know does he go he was there in April he was not rested he got married he was arrested literally he was picked up and this is where the suspicions are because 4 days earlier some called Jimmy saying he went from the u.k. Having lived to 8 or 9 years was picked up Delhi poll now 4 days later he's picked up now again we don't know where he was interrogated etc and the name was given up and that's the details for anyone who's training and isn't aware of 904 of course referring to the 1904 Sikh massacre which took place in the year of 9094 is against Sikhs in India. And it was in response to the assassination of injured Gandhi the prime minister at the time I think we'll have to leave it there is going to be a story which will unfold in the coming weeks but if you want further details go to the b.b.c. Website which it claims of a Scottish actor as he's being currently held in India divinity thank you for joining us this evening if people want further details for the website because of the at the moment many Punjabi have come together we've had a protest March in London as well and if they want for the details it is the right website Ok The website is free Jacki Now dot com so that if audibly j g g r I. W dot com Free Jacki Now dot com We'll be happy to come in in the coming weeks and actually discuss this with us more than happy and literally take 30 seconds this Tuesday when partial Ensign appears in Commons there is a lobby happening where we're expecting hundreds as coaches come down because there's over $200.00 M.P.'s of now raise this so that is why. The concern amongst the general public here it's also something that we should definitely follow up and find out what the response will be as well we will be doing a Facebook live video this evening and Hall for now 8 o'clock here on radio on the on The Sonny and Cher Facebook page so we can give you a little bit more details on exactly what is happening with this case thank you for joining us the been the that by now it is 731 let's get the news headlines with Greg Mackenzie followed by traffic and travel with Bobbie. Man a rider to so the Canning Town flyover one line is Carney closed I think it's Lane 2 of 3 as well so the middling County close to extend and Redbridge the accident that means it's still slow on the north cyclist Southbound one lane is still blocked to the right bridge roundabout by the vehicles involved public Arab b.b.c. Radio London next update a call to say. This is your live on b.b.c. That is the latest film directed by son j.d. Lippman Sally it's called Bud love it they even the styles the fantastic the Paka product actually it's been quite contested at the moment as a film which due to the fact that it's based on a lot of protests actually by groups who accuse the film of distorting history bison g.d. Leela Bhansali is that he's done very very well in the release I will give you more details on the school history in film off that never happens I know you're angry it was just like a documentary was it but you'd say that was then the b j p I'm Congress in England have actually come out there and they've had quite an uproar uproar about the film you know what I'm saying is when you look at films and entertainment and it deals with people with history don't you have to give them a bit of leeway for the storyteller to tell the story they want to tell Yeah I have and then if you disagree you disagree exactly There we go that's a great film though and if you just thought the music you got the music's they got that bottom of it the not very good evening is sunny here with the 8 o'clock tonight we're joined by a London from Essex he's not been on the shape of forces quite a pleasure for us to have him he's too busy with us he's a very busy place and that he was on his way to absolutely across the country it was a bucking and bucking if you want his way to bucking of ring sort of himself because he worked. I'm funny how do you when you think you know it's probably like. 70 nice you had ambitions at 7 or 8 that this is something that you would like to have done yes but I did not say anything to nobody but because I didn't believe in it myself Ok so then you know at the far city telling somebody like yeah I want that we're seeing the right man kind of thing and then learn but it's just crazy when it's just more and more my and my friends I like my mentors I kind of there's a core I really like we can go a lot we can go a far distance confidence and a lot of people actually saw something in me yeah. That's kind of pushed me a spare me young t.g. Would you describe yourself as a rapper as a lyricist to sing I mean you know if on a sometimes when you are musician and you especially feel creative people don't want to be boxed in but for anyone who's chaining if they don't have a head of into pools Sunday you know of course we've got to put you in a little bit so how would you describe yourself as a rapper single create creative Yeah definitely I'm a public speaker. And a bad cook now I'm God's That's an interesting going to pick up where you're going to see a lot longer than this is you know it's just bear with us because we have breaking news which is a very important in Zimbabwe so we're going to go live to add more strongly we are now Zimbabwe's we're up at Middlebury has actually vowed to stay on despite the pressure and we've actually now joined on the line by Milton k.z. Who is African response that Correspondent Milton thank you very much for joining us on b.b.c. Radio on them. Yes hello Now Milton can you give us not take so I do understand the President Mugabe has actually issued a statement from his official State House office what is the exact he said at this point. To President Robert Mugabe I dressed the nation for a period of about 20 minutes live on television or eyes were glued on this speech expecting that he would and with the with therefore resign or something along those lines he did not President Robert Mugabe said that Zimbabweans a peaceful nation they must continue in their comradely manner he is hoping to preside over his party's conference which is expected in December saw the man has no intention whatsoever of leaving the presidential post he is carrying on just has always done he wants to die in office now what does that mean for the people of Zimbabwe how have they taken to this news at the moment I appreciate just breaking now but how is everyone taken it. I suppose the key is disappointment not just in Zimbabwe but across the region here in Southern Africa and the rest of the African continent everyone was hoping following the masses that we saw on the streets in Harare yesterday that President President Mugabe will grieve the writing on the wall and do the right thing but quite clearly that hasn't happened and now his own party who issued an ultimatum Airlie in the day he said if he does not resign tonight or by Amy day to morrow. Local time 10 o'clock g.m.t. Then they will start impeachment proceedings and this is exactly what we think will happen come tomorrow parliament reconvenes in Harare on Tuesday and that's where the official process of impeaching Robert Mugabe will. Begin now Milton you say this but you want to King a man he's been in power for 37 years as much as disappointment is the word the yes' Surely there are many people who are not surprised by the fact that President Robert Mugabe has actually vowed to stay in power and not step down. That's very true and one of them was my understanding of the makeup of the men in that d.m.a. Of the men is there is no giving in we've seen in the last few days with the military part tanks outside his house he never gave one inch in those talks about how he could step down he never gives the in he fought the liberation struggle against white minority rule he was locked up for 10 years behind bars there is no way that the Robert Mugabe we've gotten to know will just step down willingly he is as far as he's concerned still in the trenches still fighting the imperial forces Well Milton thank you very much for joining us here on b.b.c. Radio London and I'm sure we'll be covering this breaking news extensively throughout the night thank you for joining us. That is Milton Casey there b.b.c. African correspondent giving us the latest on the breaking news as you've just heard from him not to Zimbabwe's Robert Mugabe has vowed to stay on despite the pressure he has actually vowed to stay in power for several weeks despite the intense fine pressure on him to stand down and I'm sure that we will give you more in the 8 o'clock news headlines right now they would be 745 let's get traffic and travel with Bobby. Will be m 25 clockwise he still got a long delays between 16 and 17 so the m 40 a maple cross one lane is closed after an early accident as the Sorry I think that Lane has that she just reopened so all lanes are back open between 16 and 17 how. Whether the congested remains all the way back to the m 4 junction 15 really slow moving so very congested on that motorway also the Emma 3 London bouncer coming into town one lane is closed between 3 and 2 so it's like moving towards the m $25.00 and Hounslow the a 4 great West Road westbound it remains partially built at just the right due to an accident and in Easton a collision that means that the eastbound Eastern right outside the station and station is partially blocked is while Canning Town the a 13 year way eastbound lane is closed due to an accident at the Canning Town flyover things the middle lane of 3 and that's causing delays and red bridges while still queuing on the north cyclist southbound will to read but roundabout after an alley accidents popular carob b.b.c. Radio London next update just before a. Thanks very much probably a very good evening in Sonny and Cher he till 8 o'clock tonight now we're joined in studio by London rapper lyricist uncreative as he said although he's a bad Kirk name is Enda Poole Sandu and he's here to talk to us about his brand new single Money ain't nothing will be playing that just before the end of the show but you can get for the details for Interpol on Twitter is in the pool Sunday also he's on Instagram in the pool underscore Sunday and Facebook it I pull Sundays or not that's correct and of course and you say you all over the station media they say well done as a creative you didn't know it. Also when you would you know you released your music and the people that you work around with do you are you scared when you say your name and you mention your background that you are being pigeonholed into a certain demographic and also even though you're not singing Punjabi or him be or anything like that this oh for the Asian Network and yet that's not the music that you are definitely playing out here. Or do you think that that's something that you're still being sort of almost I'm. You know been marginalized from the wider. I guess the music genre that you are involved with to be said you want to quit or like tell me I want to hear another song so I mean because there's people out there who might be doing exactly what you're doing and thinking alright you know this guy's doing it he's making it happen but it might be a hard journey then they think you're going to get me started so when I was 10 I was in the market of his room I was watching the stars in their eyes you were you know I remember stars and I yeah I wasn't I all I ever had I love watching that Frank I was his little wacky thing you know and they call it puppy love that song where and when was that like that in the in the in the living room and I was one of those people that was there are you know kind of blown away and and I said I wish I could do that now that was a vor you know anything sign but you say out loud yeah so I said out loud by accident and then he said Why can't you do that in the pool and I said Oh because I'm Asian and my grandmother turned to me I said talent doesn't have any color so I've got time is quite is quite is quite mad you know at age 10 what this is science and my perception what truth did I you know adopt for for truth what I take for you know for fact at a time kind of thing so I don't feel any of those things those think that a story gets louder and louder to me the older I get the minute I my godmother's words just sunk into my head that stuff doesn't mean and to me that I generally I go to like video shoots now so you can see my purpose here you need creation of freedom I go to video shoots and I roll up with them and people think that data rappers you know because I don't expect Asian do to be to rap aren't they and they found a cameraman and I thought oh nice you know that was Ok I knew I was talking about you know I love done a lot underestimate me try to box me in as much as you can and we've got a list wherever I've been assigned to and whatever on purpose for I'm going to do I love your response because you're the 1st person I said you know I keep keep under a stay and let me show you my success is going to be my own star. So how hard was it for you to promote your music at the moment I mean you know like you've you've done all this hard work you in the social media you use the social media platforms how hard is it for you to get onto the b.b.c. Like I would show for example I mean are you sending out I guess a little nuisance. For us because we never heard of you before I tell you emailed us directly which we always give our me a mail at the end of the show you've taken on board and you sent us an e-mail Are you quite shocked that we got back to you so quickly. Yeah. I think I listen to you I'm you know let me know but let me be honest I thought we put so much work so much time into something and we put it out there into the atmosphere and nothing comes of it sometimes you know most of the time you know if I were making noise by ourselves. So it's kind of like when you when you make a new piece of work now it's like you don't have to face we don't have to hope with it but we'll ensure that that's something we can afford to go broke in we can't afford to go broke in faith or hope how do you feel as well being in London going to us his question kids you know as much as I think is really beautiful what you said about your godmother your grandmother got my son to be like my crew. And your godmother Sainty that actually talent has no color I think that's a beautiful thing but unfortunately whether you like it and all you all going to be judged you know when someone sees you they going to look at the past and they see and then they can to make you know. Judgments based on not but I wasn't home did it do you think because we all say multicultural he is such a thing Paul just don't know what we're going to get in on it and you know I mean yeah defs do you funny part is that it be easier to be a rapper in London perhaps let's say than if you were to go somewhere like on a Buckingham Cheryl Boxer where it's not as ethnically diverse as it is that say in London no Often it is harder because it's so many of us. I got to buckin issues a bit you know unique I mean. Even more so than coming. If I walk down south for og think might be a dolphin is like a 1000000000 to me and if Tracy was the walk down Peckham visibility very much right I may think hey so. Bottom line is men talent again is going to shine regardless of your life being 10000 watts of mind being 5 eggs that I lucked out on so let's talk about the track then I think we've done enough of the kind of understanding and you know what I said so obviously let's talk about the new single money a thing where I guess we can understand what that means money doesn't mean anything because when you take inspiration in what way that will come about the new single money anything so I quit my job a year and a year and a month ago you know is asking Tracy Tracy is it is it that long ago years being I was back when I was at a job was it. That you were like oh come on Michael Michael I'm going to have to remember. You know if I you know in a month and like when I quit my job like I looked in my savings or my finest and our 4 year like this is going to get me through and then obviously as you as we all know in here money doesn't last Yeah spend it and then when the money when all I had was fave that I have to have to make something of this you know this this journey down when I stepped out in favor sovereign has that been and that's exactly what you know the money played a very small role in this whole project you know my brother does me here unique creation please don't turn his mike on he might land that well but he made to be you know I don't see I have no idea where I'm going to get beat that's a cost dimension that I got I got it for free in a car when to begin into the video I got it for free the camera might get done me a ridiculous do pretty and they knew being done a week he said they must believe in you and the music and also you know creative people attract creativity and the universe if you put yourself out there sometimes opens doors for you you just have to walk through them yeah like I really really believe that you know God has really opened doors for me when I start to introduce your song to state money anything you're listening to you're listening to on b.b.c. Radio London with Sonny sailors getting. Money. Now with every little thing every every little thing. Lose muscle. Lose muscle. Lose muscle from Go to say this. But now with every little thing every every little thing. To be demanded now is taken. Away from the. Little bit of Filthy. Filthy. Little come out. On the come our way. To Nowhere Oh look I'm over. Love love love love love is. Love love love love. Talk. Now with every little thing every little thing. To say. But. They don't. Become about when did it become about. Them about. The dream. The.
