And. You. Should. George Benson never give up of. Lots of comments coming through about Prince Andrew this is this interview he gave over the weekend I also wondered whether because there's a call for this Should he testify in the us. And on has been in touch why should Prince Andrew go to America when they won't send that woman back who was involved in a fatal crash. On. And Allison rushing to and says I watched the me me me interview with Prince Andrew and thought it was a total disaster you just knew that after that interview photos would start to circulate online and make things a whole lot worse for him and for one of your listeners to say who cares what he did is so disrespectful to survivors of abuse Allison thank you for that as well Stephen says I think it's completely mad to be interviewed on t.v. Without knowing the line of questioning I can't believe the roles allowed it also of people saying the royal family should be gotten rid of what would replace them with the queen does so much more than people think says Stephen Yeah I think what was unusual about this interview as far as I know there were no restrictions on what the interviewer could ask Prince Andrew normally they would stipulate or you can't talk about this and you can't talk about that. And that would be the rule you would go to and basically if you stray into the things have told you not to that well that's it that's the end of the interview and you move on as far as I know there were no restrictions on this interview so you know it was any question could be asked and it was seeing how he reacted to those questions your thoughts re North hike and if that was a normal person they'd be in prison or on remand Why do they get away with it because they're the royal family he shouldn't be allowed to get away with it but also why didn't the girl report it when it happened 08000 double 65949 is that the number to call mind gap it was about Thomas that you offer this Mind the Gap today whoa whoa Ergo price of. Up 35 percent. Hoho. Price solve. Up 35 percent what could that be is going to be a pigs in blankets It could be couldn't it could be pigs in blankets which I was talking into yesterday. I haven't seen the headline but. What do you think will fit be creative and amusing if you like. Double 65949 is the number to go through to us here at b.b.c. Radio Lincolnshire. Cut It is not a great song e.l.o. The Electric Light Orchestra and don't bring me down here on b.b.c. Radio Lincolnshire bloke coach is what we're going to talk about on the show today a space where ordinary guys can support other guys through a process of discovery and or recovery going to talk a bit about on the show today because it's actually going live tomorrow and we're going to talk a bit about it because tomorrow's International Men's Day I'm pleased to say that Dr Stephen Hopkins is with me in the studio to tell us all about it Stephen good morning good morning good morning and this is something you've created with a friend isn't it yeah it's something I created with a friend 8 months ago we sat in a pub and we were talking about the challenges men find and the challenges especially about talking quite intimately really with other other men about things that are concerning them and we actually decided we're going to do something about it and this is any topic basically but predominately with a mental health living you know not really whether mental health and well being angle Yeah I guess so it's not a space to talk about Lincoln City and for me he really isn't it's a space to talk about challenges your experience in the moment we've got a prototype up and running and there's a guy on there called John who's talking about an issue he's got he's just left the military he's just left being a Marine and he's struggling he's struggling to find a place in the world for himself and he talks openly on video about that and other people are responding to him so that's sort of where did the idea come from though and when did you start working on this so we started working on it 8 months ago and we decided that we wanted something different we decided that anonymity is quite important to men sometimes. A lot of the time and that actually in Elect. Don't expect this provides potentially that opportunity. As things happen in this world somebody came along who had got a product that allowed us to work with that product and adapt it to become the platform called Blow coach and you know he had a story as well so there was a degree of resonance with what we were trying to do he came along he's joined us and he's put the technical background in. So it's also fun dates where I'm going to Penny we're going to need some pennies actually to keep the thing going but we. We funded it ourselves and we press the button tomorrow so the basis of it is is it like a chat room where people join and then join the conversation basically people join and join the conversation and in fact there is in what goes live tomorrow there are 6 conversations Yeah 6 conversations in each conversation supported by a video a short video of a real guy sat in his car talking about troubles he's going through with anxiety for example Ok so you gave me an example of somebody who's come up the military what sort of other issues will you cover where we've got one in there with John it's just come out the military we've got a guy from Glasgow who's experiences quite severe bouts of anxiety and was prepared to contribute to this environment with another another guy in there who a young man who has challenges around depression. We've got somebody there talking about the his view about the importance of men having purpose in their lives and how he has turned his life around by getting some sort of renewed purpose in his life so these aren't staged or studio produced things that we're trying to get a real authentic in you car and did that have an effect on you because when you've looked at these videos when these people have said I'll be part of this or contribute to this Did it make you stop and think I certainly did it it certainly did yeah yeah yeah I think I think it. It causes you to reflect actually on your own life your own situation and I also know by the people have been generous enough to put their videos on they've contacted me and said We know we've done this is a gesture to help your cause but you know it's been incredibly therapeutic just talking about myself on the video I've never done that before and I looked at it and I looked at myself. I learnt a lot about myself from that So here's the video you put it on and see if it will benefit anybody else again the video goes on and somebody watches it and thinks actually that's ringing a bell with me I know where you're coming from I'm feeling those thoughts and then they respond they can respond they they respond but they can also read everybody else's responses Yeah so I might respond to a video but I've seen you've responded and I might choose to then contact you and say Could we go offline of a conversation about this because I think there's something there so it's about an electronic community that's what we're trying to establish an electronic community Stay with us we'll chat some more about b.b.c. Radio in Lincolnshire travel. Remains very busy this morning heading between home beach and Spalding on the a 151 on the high right it's all because of these temperatures in place today between what plate and Weston So that's what's called the keys there and then actually actually had 3 whole beach found that a large sewer pipe which burst yesterday Pennyhill road is still closed this morning to the a 17 in tolls lane not been a very pleasant morning in how in that area the whole beachside sort of structure void of the time being and of course we still got issues with flooding as well in fact heading north on the I 46 it's closed again through Houlton the more because the flooding there on the case to ride the hope to happen that's affecting traffic heading to and from Nettleton a 153 that's also closed billing hay in North Carolina because of flooding between the high street in the causeway road and High Street talks that still partially blocked off because of flooding between the station right and what Martin and Kenny did actually had been broke due to flooding there on the Louth right. Radio Lincolnshire we talk about bloke coach which is going to be a new online service for blokes as you can imagine and it's being launched I think it's being clicked just after midnight tonight because tomorrow is International Men's Day 2019 and I've got with me Dr Stephen Hopkins one of the people behind it you basically you've heard stories from people you've had different experiences that you've heard people have gone through and you and and a colleague and friend basically said let's do this let's make this happen let's not leave it to somebody else you want to do something yeah yeah I think it's that moment where you just have to man up if I can use those terms and say well if not those who Yeah and actually we aren't going to answer that question so we made a pact that we would. We didn't quite know what he would be we made a pact that we're trying to make something happen and quite interestingly I find when you've got positive energy around things things seem to come towards you a number of people came towards us and an interesting guy came towards us who's been doing some software development work in a certain area and had some personal challenges himself and said you know what. I'll join you and we'll use this. So he's invested in this as well and when I say invested that's time and energy in our own money we put it together totally ourselves and yeah it's attracted lots and lots of people we've had a big. A big win last week in Wayne Lineker. Has signed up with us and said You know I think he's a snapshot page in his runs into the thousands and thousands and thousands and he's looked at the prototype and he said To morrow I'll tell the world about this no she's great although this is coming from Lincolnshire this is for anybody to get to this is from anybody and that's that's the challenge and that's the excitement really because tomorrow we press the button internationalism it you've got all you can call it you can't manage it down due to Lincolnshire so we're excited unchallenged about what's going to happen so let's go through what happens then we log on and the website is w w w dot bloke Coach dot net Ok we can get into it like that that's the place to go and when you do that you'll you'll see you see a bit of a video from me saying hello you've got here you here. Just click here and then you're in guys Ok and this goes live midnight tonight that's the plan you got to be up at midnight tonight to push the button yes. I hope it makes a difference because I've spoken to lots of organizations and there are lots of groups and clubs where people can get together you know to discuss Yeah sorts of things with this it's online and it might lead you know some of these people might say Ok they'll have conversations between each other they might then get together and form other groups what that's absolutely the mission and hope around this year it's a community we are we sort of cure rate these videos I guess to get to get good videos to stimulate people to to think and talk and reflect and we facilitate. The community to do what the community needs to do and that's. The challenge and excitement as well would you come back in a couple of weeks after you and tell me how the 1st couple of weeks ago because. You haven't got a clue as to how many people are going to be sometimes and I might be nobody It might very well be nobody Ok might be hundreds. You know this is the challenge yeah it could be huge Yeah if you would come back in a couple of weeks. Yeah so the website is w.w.w. Dot co dot net and you'll go into that you sign up you get involved you don't have to use you're real name but you do need an e-mail to do you need an e-mail address you can use your real name a pseudonym. Whatever you want. Even. Coming back yet what a great project that is really to get behind this and promote as much as we can. If you'd like to find out more it's going live at midnight tonight. I can. Tell me. Something. Ok Ok Ok Ok. Ok Bob Marley in the way it was. Thanks to Dr Stephen Hawkins for joining us we're going to give you that website again because I think this could be huge and could be very important to so many people the website is bloke Coach dot net it's going live at midnight tonight Coach dot net from midnight to my and happening from here in Lincolnshire but who knows who's going to be touched by this and who might react to this get some benefit from it as well. The tape and tell me a bit about the team of the work you do so we're a specialist team and we support patients with chronic lung disease in the community and we provide that mission avoidance saving Sally assisted discharge from the rehabilitation of complex cases on the street we also support people with long term oxygen in the high use and we. Tirelessly over this last year to improve service provision make care closer to home and prevented the necessary up missions and secondary carriers. And it's been a tremendous. So many challenges but the team is really the challenge and change the way that we're going to adapt to new and h.s. And for the else h.s. Way or many congratulations to you I mean what we've heard tonight and it's reflected in the interviews you've just done really there have been many changes you know and it's always evolving the n.h.s. Isn't it absolutely we need soon modernize we need to change the way we do the prosthesis is using technology we have a lot about that's not what's really great is that our workforce our people actually step into that space I really look to transform the way to deliver care to we deliver this tape is the best possible care to our patients and why is it important to hold an event like this an awards event it's really really important to recognize the fundamental the great care of our staff. Each and every day it's really important the stuff in case me is well for morale and not simply it's about living our own c.h.s. Way about how we get our day to day basis and in case anybody questions exam know some people will it is a sponsored event people have supported this event to put it on have absolutely we've had some fantastic sponsors come forward to help us put this event on and without them we wouldn't be able to do so yes thank you to all our sponsors of the event I think you can tell by the buzz in the background there it was an incredible night it was just a maze it was like one big family that was the chief executive of the Lincolnshire community health services n.h.s.
