Nothing for granted head of tonight's game against what for it now is despite the visitors being bottom of the Premier League and without a manager the position in the in the league probably discloses a little bit in relation to that this is a good team that we're playing against because very good individual players they've got good qualities in the game we're going to have to be our best to to get a result in the game all the forces could equal the club record of 7 consecutive top flight victories with a win tonight the match at the King per stadium kicks off at $730.00 and we will have all the build up here on b.b.c. Radio Leicester from 7 o'clock in the weather mainly dry and clear it's not quite cold again with lows of one Celsius tomorrow is going to be dry with a bit of cloud and sunny spells in the morning cloud is going to thicken up in the afternoon so we could see the odd shower it will feel milder though with highs of 9 Celsius 48 Fahrenheit b.b.c. There's a lot of poor the woman still roll for targets players and fans after a fall I try dropping from their fiercest rivals Northampton sites on Saturday March I should point very bold very big goals for the I tried sorry sex old church last fall to the psychs have dropped the business at Leicester Tigers by 36 points to 30 well poor over that defeat and find out what targets go from here how they find their identity and hear from a hurt angry and devastated targets camp their words not mine they came out fighting this week were more disappointed and more devastated more angry than anybody who take to Twitter or any social media platform and address it as ardently you invest so much emotion into and. You can tell. If. A leader. You'll hear from told Murphy Callum graine on another one of Lester's young stars on breaking through into the Tigers to miss a thing or get the lowdown on this weekend's opponents countless saw no to tell us how you need to take complete control of the Challenge Cup pull with how you know why trips to the Italian side in each of the next 2 waves and hear from the forward Joe Brown she will join us in the studio we want your reaction tonight you can get involved and join the conversation throughout the evening on the text start your message with less stuff or you can tweet us at b.b.c. Al sports all to come over the coals the next hour on b.b.c. Radio and of course all of that that we will be live at the King by. Stadium Leicester City going for their records 7th top flight win in a row against bottom placed what food what a time it is to be a Leicester City fan we will be there from 7 with our own Palmer in Stringer and Matt Piper but for the time being what Woods looking about rugby I'm delighted to say that I'm joined tonight by a columnist in Cockrell in hello and Chris edits and who joins us as well Chris good evening even the boys and girls are very loud Chris said since although I think that's our fault not his that will so hurt us in just a moment's time let's go back shall we discuss such they Let's jump straight into it it will trickle through in the text it's not us to be less or to disappear b.c.r. Else will share your opinions on this Twitter and the texts were going bananas on Saturday and I'm sure people will still want to share their opinion Tigers humiliated 3613 against their nearest rivals Northhampton the St scoring 5 tries to leave Leicester 2nd bottom of the Premiership with Saracens the only team home of course and there's a good reason for that one win from 5 games so far in Cockrell you like Chris and I were there. What did you make of it. Well I'm her devastated angry in which this I was I'm sure a lot of fans and indeed the team and Squadron coaching staff are. It was awful but bottom line I mean I don't think any I was really expecting a victory against Northampton Northampton a very good side we should give them credit 1st of all they are a very good side they're very well coached I know exactly what they wanted to do and did it with aplomb but the Tigers I think people were hoping for was a performance from the Tigers some sort of fighting performance something which looked competent which might be pushed Saints a little bit got somewhere close maybe to a losing bonus point. But instead it was largely shambolic the line outs were the definition of a shambles. You know I think by the end of the much Northampton's about calling attacking moves off the tiger's lineout it was that Paul. When we did have the ball generally we went back to last season's tactic of kicking the ball down the throat of the most dangerous back 3 runner from Northampton and duly made huge amounts of yards or Troy when he got it and the whole thing was just poor there's no getting away from it unless there is some huge turn around and it's difficult to see where it comes from and I really really really hope that I'm wrong obviously but I can't see anything other than relegation for this team you know Saracens won't be below the Tigers at the end of the season on that's all to form and I don't think anybody else will be either so we're hoping for a big turnaround Chris said to 10 what do you make of that word the word the fact that we are using it so early and it's not the 1st person to do it you will have seen your social media as I saw mine on Saturday afternoon and that was a word that was that was mentioned plenty. Yes I am glad that the my notifications were muted 2 days after after proceedings on Saturday and there's no getting away from it eco ignore that it could have but he quit happen where only 5 games into the season obviously so there is time but many will perforce is like that and yes they will be struggling because I don't think anybody as you suggest I don't think anybody seriously thinks at Saracens are going to be in their spot of bother and potentially the journalists at Trenton scams that weekend who are already positive for the game that Saracens will probably got back into positive territory by at the very latest the start of the 6 Nations. In terms of. I mean what disappointed me most after that it was the lack of a game plan it was the sense that the game was confused you saw players who can back into the team Admittedly many of them are not giving its power the Challenge Cup with a lot actually really focused on a very very well coached. Here it wasn't clear what the game plan was there was a lot of getting on off a lot of kicking it didn't appear that the strategy was. Direct and it's a problem when you're light out is not working because you can't necessarily think about kicking straights touch but that of course we know what their back 3 can do from here from date and that's why I haven't oversee 3 of the tries came from for blown law that is what I actually thought the worst try to conceive for the 1st when Proctor and Ryan that were basically on such coming from a basically a scramble a dangerous sense of their positions and that's what it's so. You know you can't you call ignore the fact that relegation is a possibility if they produce performances like that that 1st to be the challenge to improve that because I just wonder what we'll thought because irrespective of what our previous I think the performance against puck and the the Victrix it's kind of blows emitted later in the 2nd string European competition had given a lot of people hearts at that extends the dates for the all was a surprise perhaps in that respect I think you dare all across you know the game Ok it was posed 2nd team effectively Cardiff had a strong side but that's only because extra the ineffective a lot of the time of the 2nd string put together a great performance had a genuine game plan and against Northampton as you say it didn't look as if there was a game plan or if that game plan was there it didn't survive contact with the enemy has said you have actually let me just say. You know I just said I think there was a coupon for the. Saturday school so summer it starts a cart of players set piece game play there oh force your opposition to go wide but when you know I don't stop working like that yeah I'm going to charge you know. Your court right Chris I mean you look at the the selection you know we had Harry Wells 2nd row making his debut Premiership debut sixty's bonsai Plunker that was by the way where the 1st try came from not pointing fingers at Wells he was out of position but he never played blindside function before so it was hardly a shock but the clue to the game plan was clearly to overpower the Saints in the forwards and it just didn't work you know and once you got to that stage where that wasn't working we then haven't got a plan b. Or the ability to put a plan b. In place what little ball the Tigers did get only 9 percent of it actually then got to George 4th So you've got the guy who by common consent was certainly one of the best to number ten's in the World Cup actually didn't see the ball of money did see it was under pressure he kicked it to a fairly badly so the whole thing fell apart now the issue is can't count this be turned around and it's difficult we talked last season about Jordan having problems because he didn't have a pre-season to work with this time we've had a pre-season. We know that you can't the things around quickly or if you can Jordan certainly couldn't last season and that's not going to go Jordan Jordan's smashing guy I really really like him a lot and some of the things that he doesn't work very well but I don't see where this turnaround is coming from Hopefully it's self self motivated self done because as you quite rightly say the players that were interviewed were clearly in distress about the way they played against Northampton but my goodness me there's going to be a big turnaround in the Premiership that the European thing becomes a sort of secondary importance and I think the Tigers will win this week I think they'll win next week and probably quite. Forgiven where they'll be in the group but actually that doesn't matter because the Premiership I can't see at the moment where we're going to win enough games against other teams given how her body else is playing to actually get enough points to stay up lots of tweets and text coming in on b.b.c. Radio less the attorney for Mark Alba regular text says I was at the game on Saturday and what I would say is that saying don't have better backs or better forwards than us they do have a far better coaches and the from knights and another regular Texas's Saturday was shambolic a disaster can we get our forwards to at least run into space and occasionally offload all they have to do is run straight and take the hit usually losing the collision the game plan is antiquated and fails on all levels he finishes his text on the bar saying absolutely pathetic some very strong feelings coming out of the Tigers fan base on Saturday and in the week afterwards let's see from Jordan Murphy let's hear his defense because where do targets go from here to games Ian said against Calvin Salo the Italian minnows to come but the fear for their league form is very real extra queens of Bristol to come come Targus turn it around in time Jordan Murphy's face a lot of criticism since Saturday night after his coaching staff players and other senior figures at Target have also taken some flak every Sunday although you know I think players fans everyone was just really devastated and really didn't perform anywhere near the level that we know we can perform so we were usually frustrated Saturday and Sunday were pretty dark it was was dark as well and but you know obviously we're back at work we're trying to resolve the issues and the players full credit to them have you know has he taken all the criticism on their shoulders and the coaches have you know identified those things that we could do better as well so although we were disappointed you know we don't really have the luxury of warrant wallowing in that misery and it's hurtful Everyone's got an angry devastated and all the emotions under the sun that are that are negative and we've got to try and turn it around. And perform better this week and when you have a result like that some sas day somebody is anger something you use and the head shot treatment I suppose or is it a bit of a collective alm on the shoulder with short parts to to result like Massenet and in terms of getting that better it's a combination some players you know actively wants to be shouted at and you know want to be told that they play terribly other players you know want to be supported and you know been given the solution of what went wrong. You know we sat down as a coaching group and we were at work on from early until late very late you know going through every permutation you know what we could do better I think the players the same you know they're hugely disappointed and really got it with the performance but the nature of sport is that you know we have to try and get over it and be better this way although many areas are supposed to see fit gain terms of on the field that you have felt that needed urgent and immediate adjusting and we'll do have the course of the week you know I think our game can function and you know watch the game will tell you our set piece wasn't good when we turned the ball over 7 or 8 times from line outs are scrum was under pressure our attack didn't look good and I'm defensive a we were probably you know we fell off tackles and allowed Saints to score too easily so a lot of us that run across the border game was was was way off you know which gives us plenty to work on the guys know that the fans know everyone knows that when you look at it you can see the problems that so the fixes is about you know trying to get it right in a short period and how do we improve on those things and what are the priorities and certainly that's what we'll be doing going forward this week you know we would rather be you know back in the Premiership back out there this week but we're not run Europe with stick to the plan that we had before the season started and you know we want to grow and develop our squad throughout Europe guys who need game time will play and you know we'll have a good feel of some of our younger players coming through and into the team this weekend as well with a view to growing developing over the next 2 weeks and put us in good stead for the rest of the year and further down on the. In terms of the reaction that has come out of Sas I wonder what you have made of that because people have questioned the identity of the tiger's side the r. Word has been used already and people have questioned the ability of of the coaching staff currently to turn this around I wonder what you've made of that I think you know the nature of who we are it is such that people are always going to question us you know I think we were in the same boat last year we have been for a few years there were you know we've added really experienced coaches in in around the set up and guys who have a huge amount of experience but it just doesn't seem that. That that sort of placates any situation where we've got to do the best job that we can do and you know I think with the group that they have I'm pretty confident that we know we're identity is not I think we're in a very different place than I and I felt last season the group is in and in a much stronger place you know we're building a really tight squad the guys are going to be disappointed with the really anxious going in Iraq this week Chris I wonder what you make of the last where where I asked him you know how he felt about the reaction to people criticizing him coaching staff the identity of the team and then that quote of say you know we have brought an experienced coach is it doesn't seem to put the matter now unless I'm misunderstanding that which is a possibility of what the what the feeling of that is and what the tone behind that was it seems to me that what Jordan Murphy was saying there was we have brought coaches in before we have been very experienced coaches in before we have done it it's sensual Targus fans have wanted in bringing those coaches in and it hasn't made them happy. But it seems to me that I don't know whether I'm misunderstanding that I think it's it's a plea. Maybe that's the role were essentially requests for Jordan's changes that it has been made that happen over the course of the summer to be acknowledged there is a sense there is a feeling that right or wrong is a failure out there that nothing has changed since last season I think objective May There have been changes to fitness in particular colors that quote hasn't been checked in. 20 odd players leaving in the course of the some more players being given a challenge from 1st the academy and then the development supporters I suspect we're going to say over the next couple weekends as well against Kallis Erna Now how does that translates it into the position in the table obviously after 5 games hasn't has that performance on Saturday have we seen anything like that on a consistent basis this is nothing that coaches would argue but I think they've got a point to a certain And they'd say no Londoner should call I thought it was poor on reflection against all Hampton because you had or the internationals playing in there and there was a certain if there was a memory that I picked up from last season it reminded me of Bristol I think a bench on the day Adam if you remember it reminded me a little bit of Bristol last season Ashton Gate where they know that it's nationals to come back after the autumn internationals and there was no sense of coherence there may be that I suspect you've also just a little bit of the defiance in Jordan Murphy there as well personality wise is very affable on the surface but he's is a hard bugger if you'll excuse the language that of the quiet. In the last $67.00 or 8 months or so has really been an eye opener for him I suspect in terms of reaction and of the pressure that there is with this particular role you would be human if that hadn't changed you to a certain extent. And what have you made of the sense that people are questioning Jordan their fees while at the club his abilities to turn it around because one side of the argument you know which funds have said is where's the improvement Where's the improved in 18 months he has had a pre-season the other side says that this is an issue that may well go above Jordan's head this is an issue that may have lasted for 4 or 5 years and it's beyond his pay grade and beyond his level in terms of it happening I think that's a very fair point you know I think the club if we look at the way things have gone over the last 5 years you know losses of increased numbers of points have decreased league position has decreased year on year. So all those measures have been going down would regard as the weather is Jordan Murphy in charge of the playing side or not so clearly I think there are issues outside of the play side now outside of Jordan Murphy's purview. At the same time you have to have some sympathy in all of Joe Jordan Murphy you know Tiger's a brilliant player brilliant. Wonderful guy but and there have been some improvements that the fitness is clearly better this season than it was last season I think the balance of the squad is better this season it was last season but the reality is that the performances haven't improved get now whether there's been time to turn around the supertanker that is the tigers and it was heading for for an iceberg or whether we managed to get out the way of the ice berg I don't know but at the moment it is difficult to see where the level of performance improvement informs them specifically in the Premiership because the Premiership is a closer competition in terms of salary cap than the 2nd tier European competition . Everybody's playing the same money so actually the coaches and the players that you might secure that will turn it round or not there isn't a fast fix in terms of these things but can we. See any great improvements in imp in performance and frankly no we can't I mean that was every bit as bad as Bristol it's an interesting question as to whether it was worse or not than London Irish I thought and L'Arche the matches London which was awful because you know we we probably Londoners are probably not as good as Northampton but at the same time we have the international part so Chris is right to balance that and say well which one's worse than the both not good enough is the reality of it and they're not good enough to not go down as it stands now I'm just hoping somewhere around the Tigers camp is an improvement it will get enough points to finish the 11th because that's the best we're going to do the moment I see b.b.c. Radio Leicester plenty of strong opinions coming in on the text as well trellises message just saying Tigers heading for relegation unless there is significant changes the old guard are leading us nowhere we have to make changes quick or are we or do we need changes in the coaching staff plenty of opinions coming in that is a debate that will continue it's kind of a saw next we will let bring you up to date on that in the 2nd half of the program we also get the team news from the King Power at half past 6 with Leicester City facing what for duck follows this program well let's touch on something as well because this is obviously the period in which we start talking about contract negotiations and whether people are staying or going you may have been waiting on the websites on the back pages the speculation around some of targets biggest names Ben Youngs and George Ford this week it seems it has been Ellis kens in money too along in weeks previously supposedly Ben Youngs is a target for North Hampton George Ford reportedly wanted by Bristol and Rugby League side Toronto Wolfpack But as you can hear when target's head coach John Murphy was speaking to Charlie Slater he was a little bit more defensive and a little bit less definitive as he had been on money too along in Ellis Kenji's future as we pretty much every week were in a different one of our players is linked into another to the. Last week it was money with the wolf pack and the week before it was Georgia Bristols ups you know as I've said over all the time the bands come through the ranks here is for the play for the club and the brothers co-captain. I'm sure Northampton would love to have a player of penalties caliber on hopeful that Ben will stay with us or talk to you those instructions and more because that's up in the year of the bends up at the end of the year so we've got a contract say a manager who will be in conversation with Bennett and there are some that George Ford. Is Under current negotiations and he's looking to some new deal you know sort of course isn't true yet both guys are in the Goetia actions at present and George is looking promising. Just ask George that you know I think anything contrary notions are am obviously there's always taking you don't say too much before it's done and dusted a sign on the dotted line but you're just going to say he's obviously you know that it had brought it to our plans and on the way we've operated over the last years and I think that is not a John Murphy not giving much away about there about the future of George Ford and Ben Youngs in art it was to be too negative but I suppose the problem is you know the Tigers you know still ongoing in these contract negotiations but there is the fear that because of current form it may be slightly harder to hold on to these top quality players you know it's going because it's got all of those wonderful paradox isn't it when players potentially take you down into the championship and then leave because they're too good to play for you. That that's not going to go clearly anybody who is in or around the England set up will want some so if they do sign a contract will want to relegation clause in there because they're not going to want to be playing in the Championship and the reality is frankly that the globe want be able to afford them anyway because they'll be playing in the championship so you know if the worst happens this will become as irrelevant Having said that venues will close run out certainly on the on the weekends showing I'm not sure that Northampton will be pursuing a great interest in Ben. Because they've got a very good scrum half is probably going to cost him as much as Ben Youngs will do the salary cap so that's no no no I'm going to go burn again because it's a brilliant scrum half book The reality is that you're balancing the books all the time when you're actually playing under a salary cap it's not particularly helpful Chris is it for Jordan Murphy to be dealing with I suppose some of his best players all being out of contract at similar times money to a long except of course from that discussion. I wonder what you made of that answer . Defensive upon I think it probably sounded somewhat is maybe fed up we do media interviews at that particular point I just say I just walked off a while for Ben Youngs in particular the talk about right back is that he is often. At some stage sued and those are very very strong rumors that are coming from the Northampton camp if you recall the c.b. Interview Kris Boyd couple weeks or so ago I think he joined the champion's Cup there it where it basically said yeah it will we'll talk about an offer for him but I think it was he is under contract there's a possibility of a fee for Murphy only that would definitely interest sense because they're starting to get space in the cap worriedly for next season as well with no Dylan Hartley of course no 100 percent as well George Ford. Let's see about that one cannot believe really too long you will be in the plains which words will in fact I'd like to place a bet with you that many tonight will be playing rugby Ripley a lot longer than trying to Wolf will be in existence. Chris said send in Cockrell our guests tonight on the Leicester Tigers rugby show we're talking rugby this hour and in the next hour we will go live to the King Power stadium less the city against what foods its 2nd place against bottom city of course in 2nd place going for the 7th consecutive top flight win in string I can bring you the team news from the compound Thank you Adam Yes Welcome to the King Power stadium ahead of what some are doing as one of these games for the boxes this season understandably so and rightly so however when football is never quite that easy I take you back to Sunday that there is a change in Adam which we weren't expecting bencher well does not feature in the squad the foxes' were placed to well with Christian groups at left back to left as a Jewish Mark Lingle right but Ricardo So on 2 and Evans the 2 center halves at left back will refocus the holding midfielder is indeed he would tell them ins of Madison Perez. And body who's on for his 7th consecutive Premier League goal if he schools indeed this evening the bench for the pops is what the goalkeeper Justin Morgan Albrighton chose Choudhary and brought to one change for the Potters chill while. Troops in Dolly Parton's of. Thanks very much. Radio last good evening thank you for joining us tonight on the Leicester Tigers rugby show we will be live at the King Power stadium in just under half an hour's time for Leicester City against what for it's a bumper evening of sport for Leicestershire sporting Franz do keep your opinions coming in on Tiger's It's been plenty busy I can tell you with tweets and text will get to those in just a moment but let's hear from one of Tiger's young players shall we Sam Lewis who has come into contention photogs quite a bit in the last few weeks playing against Cardiff of course and then being on the bench against North Hampton He's an imposing but very friendly figure when you meet him he's come up through the club's academy after an impressive pre-season I caught up with him yesterday and asked him how he found the experience of the past few weeks for. In those 2 games against Cardiff and then being on the bench against. What I've been practicing and to get a chance and actually show on the pitches it's good and kind of convert what we've been doing in training on to the pitches is really good not to keep doing that really it's obviously been a big pre-season in terms of your way into the 1st team what was in the back of your mind before it started and how that came about. Really just getting fit in the rush if you can be and just doing what the coach you're asking of you so. Big emphasis on kick chase low the line speed and just the little things that require no skill it's just effort really so it was loads of effort to be honest and on those non skill based to so much ing I suppose are you saying there is having the talent and the billets he and then and then matching that with I suppose the grunt work as it were how easy data to find Yeah. It's a most of been a loose forward 2nd mode doesn't really involve loads of skill it's just that it's just the hard work hard for it so just giving it loads of that what you think you can add to targets team what you think you have to a team when you feature speed I'd like to say. Their physicality and aggression and. A lot from has been a lineout jumper as well you mentioned family a little me about those Tell me if they book be is it would be family how they helped you get involved in rugby and how they have helped you are supposed to get through the ranks at lest as I was here number 2 a massive rugby family mainly starting to have a family now that I've been doing it for a few years and they got me into rugby or into stuff from a big club 6 and I just loved it I just kept playing I moved to stoke to move house and then I went to a school that plays lots of rugby and just went from there really was a football family then a particular sporting family not really not really a sporty family just whatever I was interested in my sisters into singing amused. She went that way and I'm into their football rugby just and if I could do when I was younger and how do you think they found it at the moment seeing you know having seen you grow into the man you are now into the professed a sportsman a that you are now yeah to be really proud. Is a bit different you know going to you know doing a normal job as such you could say so I think it's like the experience as well so they get the experience of going to the games watching the games a lot more exciting when you know your son's playing so and going to the academy you are. Part of a long supply chain as it were very talented young to have come out of that system I wonder how you found coming through the system a what it's taught you. It's nice to come from a system of slee and be with a lot of players you've played under 16 under 17 is under eighteen's way of playing in twenty's with a lot of them as well going for that halfway search. It's nice to look around you know the lads you live with lots of them what constitutes a person do you think and what kind of person is created through the academy What are the big life lessons that you're taught that help you I suppose both in the be and out of up as well not so humble there's one like it or not you don't see many big posters or you know people who've come from Cademy hard working obviously has put into you from a young age have you found European competition so far against Cardiff and what have you found the challenge of it if a touch of a bell and yeah it was a it was a different group that was selected for Cardiff No we've got a lot of sticks and we might not you know we're not favorites to win so I kind of spurred us on you know to go and give a really good performance so it's different challenges away from the from you going to places you might not been before so it's a nice fresh slate as the some for less that. We were listening. Leicester Tigers rugby show now is just looking at sort of the day I was just looking at an article to my left because we can bring you some breaking Tigers news on the show this evening how you Wells has received a 2 week ban having been cited in the game against North Hampton he was cited for dangerous play in a rock or more he's free to play again from a Tuesday December the 17th bad news upon bad news for Tiger is it seems at the moment let's get to some losin a little bit more the positive stuff and what have you made of him so far you of course with us against Cardiff absolute What have you seen from him Look he is a very very good player you know you can see the reason age considered that he coming through into the 1st team is gone through from the academy been exceptional in the academy I think it would be fair to say and doesn't look out of place in the . The European side or indeed the Premiership side now but some people would argue it damning with faint praise given where the Premiership side has played but is a very decent player and has a good future in front of him with proper development it would be lovely to see him playing in a winning team or a team where he's got more support around him in terms of you know being able to bring you mean and give him the confidence to play instead of being one of the guys who are having to sort of shore things up but nevertheless I think you know has got a future there and can potentially do big things for the Tigers and Chris one of the things that struck me about that interview is he used the word humility that was part of the thing that you get coming through the tiger's Academy it's clear in the matter what some very impressive sports men but also some very impressive men coming through in terms of the way that they are taught in the way that they come through that process Absolutely and that has to be one of the most important things doesn't it because after all career is a shortened You don't know how long those circular is there or it gets lost you also don't know what opportunities. They're going to get so you get the impression that if he does get extended right at the side of those certainly but a competition generally. At the back row departments are the. This season there you know Z's it's got to take it and I suspect it's we're going to say probably. Probably both we can. Stick our sort of specially with that so that is that very well. But I don't think Harry Wells is going to play it 6 or did any other position of the next it's at the start and it was. Now Chris we have got a text in which says it's from. The text message in less than or you can tweet us at b.b.c. r L sport We've got plenty of reaction tonight Keep it coming in he says can any be shed any light on the club being up the sale and the suggestion was there would be news by September what do we know. As far as we're aware there's no change in the situation basically and essentially that the takeover is progressing we're not hearing that it's been helped up would not hearing that it has stopped it anyway that there is interest in purchasing the club and it's not going away we don't know who that is there was some suggestion that the number a bit as was was being narrowed in terms of its seriousness of interests so there's no time scale of this really well that they'll get the deal done when they get the deal done I guess what as bit it checks to secede I really was caught up and read about the same time that that we were looking at it is that what had been really spotted was that there's a number of relatively do you invest is it terms of courage shareholdings on the on the tiger side of the boat represented necessarily on the on the board now some are more significant shareholdings that others there's John Wallace who we know has as chair the Marcus. He is a testimonial committee at the post he runs a graphic design business in the Midlands he's got a 7.5 percent shareholding as a business coach or street buildings when chance or 2.5 percent share they. Did shopping center plus the bridge other properties run the country very successful business there and that for good measure he could throw in the likes of David Wilson David Wilson Homes faces got shot just below 2 percent job Lord the bad behind Troy motorbikes are with that below one percent now we don't know what their intentions are whether they wish to proceed with with a takeover of the of the club at this stage but that shareholding Lyster shouters appears to bid. The results of some cases loans a bit to the company as loads of big converted to it's a stock so let's see what happens I think generally. Specially after last recap to think we really need to start seeing some progress there so I suspect there won't be bloody people with that type disagree with that right Chris thank you very very much as the official word from the club is that it's going and we are working on it certainly You're listening to the Leicester Tigers rugby show on whiskey in Cockrell Chris said it's in with you this evening and now a 4th guest Joe Brown is here from the lightning and I tell you you are this is a problem sometimes with asking people to head in for about 630 in Celeste but don't worry you are not the 1st you will not be the last and it's certainly not your fault we. Left the lightning of course on what you made to the start of the season was a very good win for you 34 mil against Richmond over the weekend things clicking off to a bit of a break there are with the internationals away I think it's fair to say we are a bit rusty You can tell that Richmond they don't have that many internationals they've been able to really use this time out to gel and they actually came out and they came out really strong and we were a little bit rusty in areas and you could see it wasn't quite click it in the way I had before the break but in some areas it clicked really well and we did end up scoring quite a lot of tries so I think left sensual but for us it's been quite handy that we've ever built going into cost impressed still see best during huge for us before Christmas because unfortunately we lost to them away a game that we should have won but they they kind of took us by have by the throat there so we really need to win it is quite nice for us that we've got that build up what have you been up to all you were away and while the teams were supposed went away with internationals in quite the same way because a lot of so many internationals that are you know those guys that are left behind what are you doing hard time on the whites was it all a matter of what what we said which is like in that Snorri Yeah pretty much I think we have a really good strangulation team so been working on a lot of on feet conditioning building up our fitness and as a team we are known for being one of the 50 teams in the league so God trying to keep that somehow her she's great. Lots of our session yes. In terms of the start of the season so far you are in 4th at the moment which you know I wonder what you make of that as well because I suppose it's been a bit of a mixed start to the season you are where the minimum of where you would want to be which is in those playoff spaces Yeah as I said the 1st game is a bit of a shame for us I think we could have won it but we just didn't turn up and rest are really dead as bit of a thorn in our side at the moment but the Harlequin game and the Saracens game I think highlight how good we can be and for about 5060 minutes we were on top we were winning we just let them come back and say you were the men's and women's Saracens are known for their comebacks and they really did come back in that game but exciting for us to see what we can do towards the end of the season when we face them again I'm really trying to live in together quite of injuries hopefully I want to be back and we can be fighting for it give them a good contest and win it next time and Saracens all queens are of the 2 teams to catch at the moment it seems are they doing anything the rest of the league isn't doing to they have access to resources that you don't have all wonder. Is there a particular reason I suppose why those who are operating a little bit further ahead I think terms the personnel they've got Quins have recruited really well over the summer you'll see that their international lineup is ridiculous and not only that they're very good at feeding into their set up they link quite well with the men and they do lots of stuff behind the scenes so you notice they had a double header at Twickenham with the boys they brought Irish team over in the break they've done loads of things to try and improve the rest of their squad to bring what's international standard I think Saracens they just have really good individuals and a really strong pack and hold though we might not enjoy playing them they seem to have a really good together is our ethos as a team to pull together and win at the end whether you think they should are not so I think I think in a way they do both have platforms we want to take things from light and we we have those things we have the availability to be just like wins and Saracens we just need to click on the. I was going to ask you I have to ask you really about Skerritt of course that the World Player of the year or the lawyer. You tell me about her out to be so I also wonder what it's like sort of what she's been like having come back from that because it's in essence it means nothing and it means the world at the same time does that getting old like that you wouldn't have no idea no you know you wouldn't know that she's been away in one World Player of the year she doesn't let it affect her at all. She's just the most calm levelheaded kind nice person you've ever met she's so humble she has all these accolades to name all these people want to sponsor every wants to be like her or to know and she just cracks on and does her things and does them well it's great playing alongside her because she still highlights all the things she wants to learn and that just spurs you on to try and play like her and great lady This always seems like a slightly awkward question to ask because you have 7 England caps you so. The game is going to fronts and it's really that were recently played you weren't involved for but tell me a competition for places is so hard and it's so hard to get into the England team as it should be but is that something you feel is close I think when I lost my contract the chats around it there was. Due to the positional requirements of the contract I think it was always going to be on the cards and then unfortunate for me I was into quite a lot of last season so I was unable to show I could do and it was kind of me versus Sarah back and she had a stormer overseas and she played really well and she proved why she deserved one so from my point of view I always expected to then be out of the mix but I'm still fighting and I'm still trying to play as well as I can we call week I've been concussed for the last couple weeks so not quite been able to show that I've been there in about but I'm just hoping that this season I can just build on what I did last season per hour some good performances and then hopefully I will look at me but I'm never going to turn away the shark but if if it doesn't happen that's because the people out there are ridiculous. To this weekend for lightning to me about that game what you know of. Them so very tough opponents for you I think was to have built on their squad this year and they've changed dramatically they won last week which was huge and they beat breast all so it will be really exciting to see what we can do against them hopefully we can pull out the went for us it's all about building on what we did last week so not only do we want to win but we want a really good performance to cement it ready for Gloucester and actually within the lightning set up this so much competition at the moment and I think about Roe There are 10 of us trying to vie for the starting spot so so when Sarah is in there you know going to push air out. So I think it's really exciting to see the different combinations Reese is just giving us all a go at the moment see who's ready to get our starting share and what actually what each person can bring and how we can mix at the team 4 o'clock on Saturday millions was the warriors we will give you updates throughout the Tigers against Culver Sano game Joe do stay there she will be there with their cockroach Chris said soon as we build up to target against Culver Sano on Saturday the Italian side of course Tigers have played them 6 times remarkably considering they are in the 2nd flight a 2nd division of it's highly in rugby we will get a load. Down from the from Italy in just a 2nd let's hear from Jordan Murphy Shall we all know this game it's a must expect to win a heavily Austin 1st about selection with former cities an inconsistency an issue the target stickle twist with team selection the plan is to keep with their school players and those in need of minutes but was he tempted to change the plan this weekend the team will be the guys who need the minutes so although you know we want to get some young guys in over the next couple of weeks this week you know if somebody wants to weigh in on an address an issue where we're you know we're given that opportunity we want to pick the best team for us to perform this weekend and to build it going forward you know we have 2 European games and then we go into 3 really difficult pieces in the Premiership over Christmas so for us it's a balance you know we want it we want to get things right we want to we want to turn it around we're all acutely aware that the performance of the weekend wasn't good enough and you know I don't think it was one area of our performance that was good enough on the weekend so we don't want from the were more disappointed and more devastated more angry than anybody who will take to Twitter or any social media platform and you know we'll address it. Covers on Oregon side you know I think they've got some somebody that we know like with even euro who you know has put in some good performances both in Tiger's shirts and cars now but I think you know for us this weekend is more of an opportunity for us to focus on the things that you know we do well. As I said you know the cup was always. Not a priority because all the see you know it's great to be in where we are and I thought I'm not against a cart of you know we we displayed what I would call progress tendencies we were you know pretty pretty aggressive and I thought we stayed in a very well but it's a bad way to get yourself in a position that we can for and in the late don't be very combative up front they've got some strong backs and you know I think anytime you play Natalia team you always know you're in a game because they're very very physical I think you know Cassano on paper would be a yeah I thought that as you say you expect to get a bonus point win but I think you know where we've really just to focus on our performance and treat them with the utmost respect and they try and earn a one. That was Jordan Murphy there speaking to me a little bit earlier about Calvin's Salo in Cockrell Chris said to him Joe Brown with us tonight do tigers we have another option in terms of playing squad players considering the other constraints on the money in the entire year I mean that's the point isn't it is the constraints in terms of number of games they've got for the England players and for the international players you know there's a case to be made for say well actually you need to get some sort of continuity and it would give them continuity but the reality is that you can't waste games for those international players if they are going to lift your performance then you need to keep them for the Premiership and the reality is and this is no due disrespect callous on it but the reality is since they didn't make it as one of the Italian French eyes in the professional leagues in the east with a guilty plea they are 2nd tier that's probably equivalent to 2nd or even 3rd tier in England in the English system so you know Cardiff with an academy and school team got to go to bonus point against them pole very easily go to Barnes point gets in with something similar so the reality is that the Tigers will need to give people experience and to give them confidence in that way we're not going to waste games from the internationals regardless of the team the Tigers put out Kris is anything other than a bonus point win unacceptable. I would have thought so I mean it is Joe we're talking about the competition for places in terms of being at the back row for line expenses so it's about squeezes the trade up result for us that we scored so you know it's gets work and show it was packed like sardines. Well they're hoping there will be competition for places it serves at that site and yet they have to pick up 5 points so pick up 5 points this week. Like for him I had that it talk Cardiff Blues I think till the 68 minute score their 3rd try where they went to northern Italy the Celts 63 weeks ago so there. Not to be underestimated their wish to not results pickup in the Challenge Cup before so you don't want to lose all the birds that you've built up over the year the previous 3 games to something loose it went whether you know the faults or the faults also the outside so what happens but 5 points. This week especially Joe when you play teams and there are teams in the Premier fifteen's who where there was a there was a difference in resources and you know Arco forgive me that when you play forward Waterloo and you were almost going into double figures for the amount of charge and scored in you. Is complacency ever an issue do you think when you are playing a team that you are expected to not only beat but wallop definitely Except think I know you looked at the score from Richmond this weekend and said that it was a good one but actually other teams have again nearly per century against them so for us we look at that as maybe not a best performance and you find that some people then think oh well I can go on the run on my own and we don't connect in the way we should do and people fall off tackles because they're not quite as maybe ready for the game as they should be but I know this knowing that they're talking about wanting to keep continuity and maybe wanting to keep on a winning streak but it should be seen as a fantastic opportunity for anyone to step up and actually if you want to progress place through the club you need to give them a chance to shine alongside players who will be starting players Otherwise how do you know what they are like at that level and how do you know how to link so I think it could be a really good opportunity for tags to see who's coming through and to just see some new pairings and work out what could be there for the future of Tiger Bay Well it's going to the Italian side shall we I'm delighted to say that we can care from the head of corporate communications media relations for the Italian rugby Federation I pocket my pronunciation right here Andrei chin breach Oh I'm dry Have I got some regular Oh yes good. Morning early on in early nearly. You know to me is. So so tell us about Calgary Sarno how they 1st to qualify for the competition and the sort of start. Yeah I was really qualified by by the. Space Field completion in the a.p.c. Are they also rainy in the tally and champions in the Peroni. Top competition. On the domestic market and that was a pretty you know historic Sidey in the best rugby you. Think they're currently going into their 3 years they've been sounding 9 the 7th and in the last the state have been among the most dominant side. In the domestic competition so most of folios always been a side who sees politics in terms of young development you know trying to recruiting or the best coming through in the recent in the recent past most of all coming through the department systematically are established and one of the multiplicity of Ali of course you can. Take helmets on a kind of what kind of style can we expect from them do you think or kind of up we did a play. Again please all kind of rugby did a play what sort of style and I think is pretty typical Italian side so rang to get from. Scrabble. Very solid very very solidly stance. Against their number 2 is normally pretty pretty skilled guy stuff kicking game so I thank you again definitely better side is less than sorry they were right to you know try to put them back in their corner and try to force them to you know go to the war the last of the field. And try I'm afraid we've run out of time of it but we do really appreciate you joining us here on the Leicester Tigers rugby Hsia if you see us in Calver sauna maybe for the return fixture in 2 weeks' time we will bring you live coverage of that game Leicester Tigers against how the sauna 3 o'clock kick off coverage starts at 2 so do join myself blend in and Chris said it's and for that I thank you for joining us tonight plenty of involvement thank you for that tonight I am interested period for target and an interesting couple of games for them to play considering the current form against how the sauna However let's hand over to the football shall we were things were a lot more positive less the city facing what foot in the Premier League the fox is making its 7 top flight wins in a write would equal a club record and highlights that fantastic form from all of us here we will hunt you have it you are in Palmer our king Piper in string from the King Power stadium but for the Leicester Tigers won't be so good night 'd. comparisons it's not realistic you know everyone talks about we're head of where the team was on the league and compare No You know but then it was a differently the strength of the league was different I think you can probably compare the emotion of all the think it's been amazing for the supporters you know when I entered December and were challenging for you know we want to be a show a long way to go but there was every 10 games to go let's see we're so Brendan a worthwhile point yes they're like yes he's going to join us this evening.
