And what did you do I gave it to Theo He obviously wanted it. That I got a brace and. Possibly of the chance to the bike a 1st career heart trick probably the last thing I'll certainly wanted it I thought it was probably for the greater good that he. We could have still been there now Theo still telling me he wanted it but as I say I think it was for the greater good Robinson has struggled to find new scoring boots again nobody has a penalty to try and make it 6 nil Josephine Robinson right put it. To double the standard for a team but a lot of his share of the after did not mention did he feel a bit confidence surely score which he went on to do that about the 4th bubble allowed him to get on the scoresheet and and hopefully give him that little perk that you needed Gary Roberts Anthony Pilkington Michael Collins from a different production line the Academy Lee Novak for his character Theo for his silky skills in League One era that was quite a team you played it wasn't enough for a season yes certainly was it was certainly a top minded they're a say probably the manager of the timely and played in the side not dissimilar up at Newcastle with the likes of beers Legion hall or osprey. And I think it was not trying to compare the 2 teams but there was a sort of attacking threat and an instinctive goal scorers which to have in anything as is fantastic that season eventually ended in the playoffs at Millwall very tight game remember in the known their home. I remember Danny Drinkwater coming very close to scoring in the home leg but in the 2nd leg in south London the hostile atmosphere at the New Den It felt as if it was field sound a techno bit of a beating it was a very physical Millwall side Millwall seemed to have the credentials to move on do you feel on reflection that yes you'd come a long way but not far enough yeah. Definitely the case the the atmosphere and everything on the the Tuesday night in south London but it was as far as I was concerned gone pardon the pun but into the lion's den and it was in my mind it was a case of. Will Sean what were made of stick 2 fingers up for them and we came away with the result unfortunately I think on the night one or 2 individuals were perhaps intimidated by the atmosphere and in terms of on the pitch the acquit themselves as well as they are done through the course of the season and like you say were perhaps physically dominated yet physically dominated is the best way describing it to be honest with you it was a young who does feel to town team against the a Millwall Millwall team full of season players and a man. And that night unfortunately we didn't do ourselves justice to be honest with you and ultimately paid the price and went out to a to a good Millwall side that ultimately wanted to go and promotion almost feel child she said it's about to end nobody no promotion nowhere. Adding to the play off final as the referee blow the final whistle a lot of steel town decision I want to push Asian It has been Lou Clarke should be proud of what it had changed in an era of total shield child football club proud so far how does field center the West Yorkshire sports b.b.c. Radio leans. You're listening to b.b.c. Radio Leeds and the Peter Clarke our former us field town Captain with me Paul Ogden I'm reminiscing on the early stages of his dramatic 5 year stint field town the 2nd year of which was probably the most dramatic phase for me and one of the most dramatic things in that period of the whole Israel town career actually happened off the field and it all stemmed from a much older in the autumn in your 2nd full season a sort of steel town captain a team including Damien Johnson yourself or the seasoned personalities lost against a very aggressive Oldham team a Boundary Park the next thing that happened is that we gather for the next how much in the calendar which was against Exeter City and lo and behold we open our program we read the chairman's notes and Dean Hall always candid always very straight one of his many qualities but he went for the jugular describing. For example how the team appeared to lack stomach like the fight required to play in his team and to take the team forward as he hoped what was really happening there Peter how did the players respond to that talking to from the chairman. I think obviously chairman's chair people owners of course are entitled to their view their opinion Deans obviously as we all know a massive massive office fill Town fan and it's more than just an owner more than just the chairman was obviously he was disgruntled by the performance of Oldham which is never an easy place to go they work ever so hard they screw up their battle they fight for everything which is it's one of their their trace is part of the that make up or suppose and I say the chairman was fully entitled to his opinion. Do not begrudge him not at all and I don't think he was too far off the truth in all honesty that they are you know I remember it well and it was a case of the players were were hurt by it because I think in the 11 in the 14 involved in the team that day everyone I've been tarred with the same brush as such and I think it well for me to play the scrum called and as assert the chairman was fully within his rights to have an opinion and. To voice that I think the manager I think the players at that time would perhaps of preferred it been done. Away from public attention away from program those and then national media. And as you say the n.b.a. And him and Lee being in charge at the time and the players there could have been an honest and frank discussion and it need not of gone any further boots it was you know obviously something that the chairman that day and he felt it necessary to put in his program those which is is completely is prerogative and something that you know we as place take on board and there with a book perhaps it could have been dealt with in a different y. . Book I'm sure you know or as time passes we all will learn something new every day and you know perhaps over the course of time we. As players and. And the chairman we will learn from from that episode and we certainly moved on and we. We ultimately went on from there we got stronger. But at that time I think it hurt the players and I think the the stuff immediately close to the players it was something that could perhaps of a been done away from what ended up being an episode in the national media something that was. Not as complementary towards sort of feel town and and the the new era sort of thing it was something that was kind of detrimental maybe in a way. You're listening to b.b.c. Radio Leeds and this is West Yorkshire sports Peter Clarke special the 4 modest field sound captain opening his heart and opening his own diary as to what went on religion in the 5 years and the key events they remember from Peter Clark's career sort of feel sound captain 2011 is one of my favorite years of us through town history in recent memory there was so much going on the team trying to improve their own to the playoffs from the previous season January 20 Levon was also memorable for Horsfield towns only ever visit so far to one of the most famous Premier League grounds in modern day Premier League history and that's Arsenal's Emirates Stadium What do you remember about that day and the visit to Arsenal in the f.a. Cup we gone down the night before. And stayed local to the ground as it was a lunchtime kick off got across to the ground on them on the game and you see what a fantastic place it has. Plenty of history around the place although it's a new ground terms of pictures and former players been open on boards around the stadium. And all their previous glories being celebrated I don't think we were wide eyed at the surroundings we were we were interested and respectful of their their history but we we got a real belief that we would go there and give it a very good performance not some could go there and win but we could showcase how far we've come over the previous 1218 months which we did in all honestly and well in my opinion with that. We were dubious refereeing decision away from bringing one of the best sides in the country back to the Gulf are. But as you say it showcased wanted to invoke individuals John had a fantastic senior debut for who does feel town and showed what he was about. And other individuals in the side as well as total steel town's chance to judge cool enough was Lady Ga Ga Ga like just forget the. Part of. Whatever the outcome of and I mean if you want to put on a signal someone will always be told if you waited a long time to relate that in a footnote with your town to. The celebrations of Alan in front of the town shop this before he's one of the snapshots of all the time of the government's real town that will stay mum and yeah it was. By him probably by his own admission it been a long while common is his 1st goal for Huddersfield and the ball was came from the corner from our right where it turned. And Alan got amongst the defenders got a powerful had there and that was not just off the net there was no stopping him when he ran off he was obviously delighted to say get the monkey off his back and get that 1st goal for has failed and it brought a bottom level terms the last stage gave us a real opportunity to go on and perhaps maybe even win the game that January was another relaunch for me Peter I don't know what you think the fact that you'd come so close to getting to the national fun of the j.p. Trophy the fact that you'd rattled Arsenal seriously rattled Arsenal certainly with Jordan Rhodes firing on all cylinders with the unbeaten regular league fixture on building nicely the team seem to have stepped up a couple of years to me yeah I think so there's a say over the previous 1218 months the team and a progress they've moved further further forward. There was a reporter and then a steel within the team as well not just in certain areas of the pitch but all over the pitch lice and Damien Johnson Kevin Kilbane Gary Naysmith all all experienced players with knowledge of bigger games and they certainly helped some of the younger players in that group and with that gave gave us a real say in a stale we going into games believed the very minimal we were going to come out with was a point and obviously so if you got got to go with up under the pitch you can score goals like Jordan that certainly helps the case or you really like to play with Jordan Rhodes even has a very quiet individual away from the the pitch but on the training ground in games the other real self confidence in a belief that if he got service he was going to get himself on the scoresheet and I say when you got someone like that and he side is. Fantastic You know it might take very little to get yourselves one though in front but then you've certainly got something to be found and we had a great supply line for him as well with Bill one side rubble the other. You know and the middle of the park those was Damien Johnson and Kevin killed bomb as well. To Fall Out Boy so young just for b.b.c. Radio me. To listen to b.b.c. Radio Leeds this is the Peter Clarke hour on West Yorkshire sport and we talked about the camaraderie that was growing during the 1st couple of years of your 5 year stint all those fields out. That camaraderie is also needed in crises and some crises can be more serious than others not just a defeat in the playoff semifinal or defeat in the playoff final Trafford against Peterborough which was to come at the end of the 20102011 season but the March 20 Levon one of the most frightening things you can ever see on a football field actually happened in a match between all those fields on a Rochdale and innocent looking challenge Antony Pilkington back defending and reaching across the wrong way but as soon as that Mel a of players collapsed on the ground on the edge of the hottest field Sam penalty area and any Bill Clinton included everybody could tell Peter that there was something seriously wrong yeah it was. Pl should never been there but different than anyway but no in all seriousness. When he saw him go to block the cross he went with probably wrong like he then got his foot caught in the ground. And once a ball of being crossed. You look back in the can see him or. On the ground with this is like and his faults are completely wrong angles and you. Immediate thoughts are not football related juiced about Polk's and his well being. You know it now our long afterwards still get goosebumps when we talk about that thankfully he came out the other side of it in these years Ok and he moved on to bigger and better things such afterwards people sitting on the kiln the bank who were close to it nor did they know exactly what was going on because of the Malaya bodies but what we could hear was the screams they could hear us in the building to scream in pain. And it became apparent that there was something serious going on because of the reaction of your teammates yourself excepted but Jack 100 sample was physically sick I think lots of the players in the squad look very upset because this is just the logical to the human mind that a feller's leg can be broken and pointing in opposite directions from where it should be you classic skipper the 1st who is 8 and nobody's ever forgotten that out of school to. Now zombie embarrassed so also probably never moved a quick. And I know he's in trouble and. If you don't have all to move in here able to get across to him her need Ok. Obviously was in on told amounts of pain and. As you say I don't think the ball of the play and I heard him scream and so I just I want to cross the him. And my my thought process was that I don't want to see what I can say obviously knows he saw but I don't want to see the shape of his like and his ankle and my my thought was used to to try and comfort him in any way that I possibly called. And I just I sat myself down in between well in his mid dressed sort so as we can see the bottom part of his is like on his ankle and he had all the 11 hand there is right on the hold in my right hand and his left hand was grip and by move on there. And I was fine I just kept telling them it be Ok talking to him trying to do anything talk to him by any old rubbish that are called to to try and forget or help him forget the the pain or the circumstances he was then. Eventually he was able to you know get the helping needed he was taken to the hospital and they were able to the fantastic job for him and we were able to see him now on you know all we watch in a much of the day doing for knowledge what he's been doing and a blue white striped shirt which was was fantastic oaken Sidran the predicaments the trial themself and on the cold March evening b.b.c. Radio Leeds West Yorkshire sport daily with Peter Clarke a special look back at the 5 years he spent I saw the steel town Captain motivator emergency medic the season came to a close at the end of 20102011 with drama of a difference or in the 2nd leg of the playoffs and the final against Bournemouth and another night it will never forget that sort of steel town watchers for entirely different reasons Michael Symes plays a clever pass from the outside puke tosses only 3 had up and. Down here heading last year managed. To lead the 2nd leg for the 1st try you certainly. Can see Old Trafford on the horizon Chandru form of 3 on the night for 3 Bournemouth overall Roberts would be out swinging corner how to go forward to that was to carry with you can I did read your review of the night. Before overall yes one of these nowhere. For drama you're not going to get better than that you paid it was it was dramatic enough in the 1st leg when Kevin kill Benz had a pause feel town in such a good position down at Bournemouth but the 33 and the penalties and getting to the Old Trafford play off final lot way even made the chairman kissed the manager I remember that. Here was I say it was certainly entertaining still for a neutral and for the most part we we got ourselves in front on that Barmouth never really been able to kill them off so all credit to them they came back up to to our place again we got ourselves and from on a couple of occasions they got themselves in front in the extra time period all day say thoughts cross your mind as to who we got back and fortunately k.z. On the end of a call and scored a tower and how that. Got us back on level terms and from there certainly the final period of extra time we really pushed and pressed to to get another one even after they've gone down to time and we threw everything on them and they managed to withstand that and then it obviously went to penalties and thankfully who knows we came out on the right side of it like gun with with on the quay sticking it in the top corner with a nervous get puffed that he left this for I think. He's only 2 almost 2 admittedly he warned that if it was going to come down off the ball and go away but thankfully for us it bounced on the back open to the roof for the night on Jimmy Carey can shine charming to the play off final at all Trafford right footed or the . Job is to. Put our final charge start the set up right there and with thanks for the hard part of the last 3rd shareholder to get to Old Trafford. Not just the ready to shoot the Post told you do you have a shitty day you know who are you all roads lead to the pile final on by the 29 it was a case of. Being part of the way there to get in the the job done that we'd hoped to to do. And it was you know those real optimism in the group and around the town of what was the some. 11 days later as an occasion Old Trafford and that play off final against Peter was enjoyable it was possible to enjoy it in anticipation of the match in the build up to the match do you feel as a group that it might never happen is that why you were so upset this was your chance and it's been taken away from you at that moment in time well build a not for the game this isn't being disrespectful to Peter and this is not in any way that sound article but I for for never for one second contemplated losing that like I do start a real in a belief in self confidence in myself on the Team A's that we would get the job done and ultimately get the result required and a game promotion that I sold to not they was was like being hit with a wrecking ball for want of a better description you were in a state of shock that it hadn't happened for you yeah it just matters everything if you thought into Bess thought but with Colm so so close you know we would finish numerous points ahead of them we've been in and out the top 2 . On occasions throughout the season come very close. Just how at that final hurdle anon that it had been you know I think I think including the j.p. 3 games the been 60 games that season where we put every every last birth and so I'm actually with I'm going to start the following season back to square one and it was. A case of No one how close you call but that are far he had to go against or to be and possibly that situation again in the you know 12 months time around so far how does field sound West Yorkshire sports b.b.c. Radio only. Listen to b.b.c. Radio Leeds and by now we're into the 3rd year of Peter Clarke's 5 year tenure as always for your town Captain standards remained high at the beginning of the 2012 season the on beaten run in regular league games stretched across the play off final run and that defeat against Peterborough it and it ultimately Charlton at the hands of course poles Charlton Athletic although standards were still high there was a 4 no victory a Brant for that I'll never forget but ultimately that season the feeling you tell us from inside the dressing room Peter was the feeling that some change had to be made to get us feel town across the line and into the Championship didley clock have to lose a job do you think for that to happen I think as time wears on the longer even the game you become less and less surprised by some of the things that go on within the game some of the solutions are made. I think in order the time when Lee lost his job was. You know not too far away from the end of the season. I'm not sure anyone would've. 2nd guessed the the end of the lease to your heart then but as a say you've become less and less surprised by the on go ins of football the longly the truth the team wasn't in a bad position when Lee lost his job there was still very much in the promotion run and it was still February and lo and behold who replaces Lee Clark year old Blackpool manager Simon Grayson Yeah it was a case of you know obviously Lee had gone and then the. It was too long between Simon losing his job at Leeds and him and coming into has failed the the chairman made his decision and sort of this is new manager and got Simon installed quite quickly really were you consulted as a matter of interest because ye You certainly had an opinion you certainly had a credibility within the club well before this point in your last real time career with the chairman come to you and say skipper what you think about this chairman your own or ostomates these decisions on their own and the chairman was and is always has been his own man made these decisions that he felt would last for his football club so. He certainly has a Sabian the owner has upper Aga to it and he can do as he pleases our search. And I think he will tell you that he made the decisions that he did in the best interests of his field town for his fans for his own beliefs and for the players. To possibly progress further on in the season. However autonomous fully the decisions are made operate wouldn't he at least explain it to us captain of the team afterward so you can pass the information on to your teammates or in fact do you lot not count when it comes to the big decisions like that I think because as I say or as we mentioned earlier the position the club was in in terms of league position and. The situation that we were well placed in the table for the final push I think it came as a surprise to players even are mentioned that you become less surprised by things as if you've been in the game longer surprise a group as a whole and the chairman actually over the following days and weeks actually took the time out to speak to the the squad as a whole and explain why he made the decision and some of his reasons for it one of the hottest field town performances for me over the past few years was the 2nd leg the away leg of the playoffs and the final at Milton Keynes Jordan Rhodes with a fabulous instinctive glancing header Jack Conway a little shimmy and a dribble down bring Milton Keynes back and eventually get over the line after a little glitch Wembley is the next destination for the play off final against Sheffield United in that sweltering heat Peter Clarke We have the fans still stuck on the motorway but it was still an incredibly memorable day finished a story on Saturday the 26th to find the 2012. 100 a thank you so on and that when we stadium you know it's time for a long awaited battle between 2 Yorkshire neighbors which when I went out would change the quality of the footballing lives in an instant we actually left. On the the Wednesday that late afternoon it was my little boy's bethink 1st birthday. He left on the one c. Afternoon to meet up in Huddersfield and travel down to Darby with untrained Darby's facilities on the Thursday morning which was fantastic from them and they made his very very welcome. With Then later that way they went down to. Wembley and we had a look round which I think was was wise in terms of players who had been there players who possibly help and there it gave them the opportunity to look at the place and the surroundings without all that the emotion and intensity of what was to follow a couple of days later and it was you know if an all out the football fans to gain some some pretty memorable snaps around and I'm to Wembley Stadium and in the dressing rooms and so on and so forth did it work I think it was ideal preparation from a personal point of view bit right be it wrong. And I remember the lots the lots got there it was a hot time we travelled ensures flipflops we were able to have a look around the surroundings in a far more relaxed manner. Take our time get used to the place rather than. The day the game plays woman swallow it round and get used to the surroundings but not being able to so I think it was ideal in terms of. The way we prepared we were then able to I've got. So I see in the football fun part of going to Wembley out of the way and then it was fully focused on the job in hand when we with 2 days later what was it like taking penalties at Wembley in that heat with so many penalties stacking up one on top of the other and ending up with the goalkeepers taking pot shots at each other an absolutely unique classic all those fields our moment to gain promotion Yes he was down shows the stuff of 30 titles nice therefore no winner would have been the stuff of fairy tales I'm sure and not too clever for the nerves but it was. Probably the most that So I think part of what I've been not a dour March but a diet game that not really cause a lot of excitement chances have been limited. Gunned down towards the bar and I'm sure people probably custom on back 12 months and wondered no not again will it be different but then as you say go to penalties. Unique. Manner in which we did it on a lay. By 7. 7 suddenly. And so did 25000 separate. 3 penalties taken by total steel town all of. Unchallenged watching the championship slip into the distance Logan against Alex with this shitty sanctuaries that the frail Sheffield United still plays up just to want only have managed to skip Peter Clarke nice to screw and then split He can we have to ask another pick question. Of Alex please can you get us out the Mar yet again 2 penalties each left in the penalty shootout at Wembley. Sheffield United. Peter Clarke. Feel. It was one of the penalty shootout and now Alex 50 have to drop a promotion back to the place that's been the best plainly so far of all apparently take his life why shouldn't. A new one doctor to believe this but the don't keep close are now going to be called into action to strike the penalties against each other. Shouldn't the penalties. Alex Mitty's against Simonson ship United. Alex city's punches. I can see is respected opponent. And double swell and Simonson just a little bit now he's probably couldn't put the ball down if a cell explained these and he's played well today Simonson a selection say Szymon should. Or was worth were for thank you Richard thank you for 53370030300000 you are the birth heard of if you are there are the time of 35000 thought that you want to thank you for those who are fuel tank Thank you. Thank you thank you when you look back whatever your opinion of the end of Lee clocks tenure as manager for us feel time Peter however much credit some of Grayson chalk and gave to all those you can't forget in my opinion Lee clucks contribution because he did lead foundation of sorts with help from the chairman of the board of course Yeah I mean as you say least certainly was involved in in the earlier parts of the process Simon ultimately was there and and involved in in charge when we got across that line but I think. Simon Leahy the chairman will all know if there were to discuss it would say that that Lee was there in the the early parts when the foundations of that infrastructure and. Helping put in place ultimately what one tall and is still going on. This field said was George's faults b.b.c. Radio Leeds. You listen to b.b.c. Radio Leeds the Peter Clarke our the 4 modest field sound captain opening his heart and his diary to us on the 5 year tenure and it's a very incident packed 5 year tenure to go through but probably need a day never mind on our pizza clock 2012 Huddersfield Town. By August are in the Championship thanks to the play off final penalty shootout one thing we have got used to over the years on b.b.c. Radio Leeds covering all this field sound is a change of manager and although some of Grayson gave us plenty of spectacular moments it wasn't long Peter before you had to get used to another change of manager because some of Grayson was replaced by Mark Robins could you see that change coming some of Grayson losing his job I think with the results we've been on around the time of of Simon's departure it was perhaps a more likely heart then. Less of a surprise than perhaps when Lee had gone or. Certainly least departure the way it was perceived by by some parties and certainly nationally it became less of a surprise to see. Simon go because of the results would would had preceded would you have had conversations personally with some of Grayson then would you have to reach back to the relationship you've had from stretching back to your days playing for Blackpool or did did someone Greyson keep you in the rest of the squad even you a distance because you know it's a played with Laurie. Had been previously managed by Laurie so you have maybe a slightly different relationship in the fact that we knew each other when he 1st arrived and he knew. My strengths weaknesses and vice versa but certainly in those times he had surrounded himself with his coaching staff and I think. Although we don't join a plane and in a previous spell together it was certainly I was his cup then. Those who certainly a line drawn. And there was no of the search but that's the way it should be and that's the way it was so obviously when things were were not going so well. Now Simon didn't turn to me. He obviously spoke with with his system monitor and the 1st team coach we were William Miller and glints not in at the time and you know I'm sure they they had plenty of discussions and thoughts about things and how they could parts to change them and right what was going wrong at that time your final season of us feel town which ended in summer of 2014 was also one during which I feel town managed to survive in the Championship better than survive 17th in the table as a finishing position but how much of a success do you really consider that has started quite well and seemed quite comfortable for a spell we. Lost him took it for granted bullets. It was almost too much reliance on the fact that we would start of the season relatively well and at times we'd let ourselves down a little bit in games there said there was not enough repercussions of sorts it was almost. Too easy to you know for a spell I was injured and watching from the side it was almost too easy for opposition teams to play against us and it was almost it was too easy. Accepting defeat or substandard which should never be the case. Maybe players thought. It was too easy to comfortable they were too. Too comfortable in their ways too comfortable in the surroundings and and too comfortable with the the regime honestly how do you begin to see the end of your field South Korea once the year turned into 2014 because your contract was up the following summer wasn't I already knew my time was up to be honest with you I. Had went through my Reaper billet ation through my my time injured. And got to the back of the January I've been on the train for a couple of days. But was involved in the squad to travel to Bournemouth or why. And. The game was the 29th of January on the day pre-season I would get ready to travel and I was told that my contract would be renewed at the end of the season having had discussions the previous July that I was you know seen to be wanted there for the long possibly coaching capacity as well so . For me to be told when I'd not train for for too long maybe less than a week. Not play the game not kick the ball in anger since my injury that my contract wouldn't be renewed in the May was quite difficult to take him in obviously very very disappointing on my part how do you carry on in those circumstances p I think it's something that footballers must face a lot as an occupational hazard towards the end of any contract because if you find out at the end of January that you're going to be surplus to requirements and I hate that phrase you've still got a contract that runs till June so what do you do psychologically I was told to her go before the end of January that was 3 days before both case of professional pride been the best person I could be be on the best player I could be between that information being received and in the end of the season common and so weapon brought up was ingrained them made that you give your best no matter what you fight for everything that you you want and the you try to be the best that you can be every day and they were the the standards on the values that I live by there were times where you know obviously at the time I was I was deeply hurt felt particularly hard done by but as a say what don't kill you my you stronger and if you've got to get on with it it was just a case of. Like I say been the best there could be every day helpfully with a late victory away Yeovil on Easter Monday another Clayton strike Championship status was secured again for another season with a couple of games left and almost feel down fans got that chance to thank Peter Clarke for all that I've been through and all that had given taught us feel town throughout the 5 years since he signed in 2009. It came against Leicester City at home on the final home game of the season but an emotion filled day for you because you certainly got a reception and a big thank you all day long from field our fans yeah it was it was fantastic. But well I knew the day before well 2 or 3 days before. In something I should never food poisoning and spent 2 days in not great shape Wednesday Thursday and got to the Friday and there was going to training regardless of whatever anyone else thought because I was hoping I may be involved in some capacity unknown it could be my last home game but that it was my last home game that there I would like to be involved. Fortunately I was selected obviously. A very emotional day and in terms of the fact that I was known it was my last game at the golf farm in the blue and white stripes. Fortunate enough that my my eldest 2 were mascots Updyke which was really touching as well and the reception I got and all before the game and then afterwards was it was fantastic and something I can't thank the fans in a for those whose amazing life moves on pizza you have already with your career but we also know that you taking the coaching badges in amongst all your other family commitments and professional commitments. What about coming back one day to hold a steel town as a manager whether or not it's hottest field town manager is that the career path you're going to take now is certainly something that interests me I believe I've something to offer in terms of the knowledge of gain the experience I've got through my playing career that I could possibly be of assistance to to you in the place plays in the 1st team environment. I'm going to be a long time retired from play and so all I want to play for as long as I can but yes certainly managing coaching this is the if that interests me. As a career in the media too. I'm used to being on a training pitch or saying guaranteed one way or another but I would think lightly of course or direction of a future career is perhaps involved in some sort of a coaching capacity and as you say I'm taking some of my coaching qualifications now so I was as well educated in that field that I possibly can be when the time comes that 100 was Bruce open call it I. Peter I think everybody has feel town will wish you all the best with the rest of your career on the field and whatever happens afterwards it's all about of all of us feel town fans thank you. On behalf of all of us. Thank you so much thank you Peter Clarke the white chairs away published by. The Bronx I wish to see. You steroids the gold camp out of the to 100 throws thank you they come to the 105000 hilarious how do you feel count upon the he is the he talked to one not the fuel tank issue. Thank you. B.c. If you. Will hope for a few more by close of play this soft that it's been a season already littered with landmarks about how to spilt town could they add to the accolades today if they manage to book a place in the f.a. Cup quarter finals. West Yorkshire forwards. Thank you. Thank you. I in the Premier West Yorkshire c.b.c. Radio may. I Player radio so if you're on the move the south the new place to take us with you to hear full commentary of Huddersfield Town It doesn't seem very long ago we were talking about a match where his field time of playing against Manchester United Indeed it wasn't how the steel town plays they back on home soil for this one the south than in a different crop of players will be playing in this one given that it's f.a. Cup duty pull out and has the t.v. Story rank short on getting old full changes to the starting line up from the one that started. On Sunday lunchtime we know that our I'm always going to be out for a couple of weeks pretty child come play photos field championships Cup tie John Horgan Scott Malone move out of the starting 11 and on to the bench the Shi'ite into the starting 11 compelling Williams Candelo last back and Colin corner into the attacking 3 behind strike I'm. That means that Tom Ince moves into the middle that number 10 position to play in Scott Alex pre-charge row injuries that the whole team little Ingo from the start on the back for how to Chennai. Shindler skipper today got a special town Candelo pleasure at left back billing and Williams come in as that he considered midfield pair in front of whom Quanah inside and on the para speak money as the star striker but moments to learn the Potters on the bench could again that's why it will supplant Jonathan help how much sub Barry Tommy Smith recovered from his concussion now which Scott Malone and Dean White had the extra outfield so a sub keeper is Joe Coleman the hospital town we knew that Manchester United could call on the services of Rushford or Herrera in the build up to the weekend both carrying injuries and recovering Pogba as reported in sick today though just a marine your said yesterday officially that he was going to start That's change in the last 24 hours no Pogba Romero is that keeper Ashley Young and get right back Smalling and Lindelof of the 2 center Hobbs Luke Shaw back 3 midfield characters skipper match Scott my Tom and I starts and a very committed will from 3 match up Sanchez. Erich by the Frenchman's on the bench after his layoff through injury. And Penny Marshall is there. Dummy on how Milton the youngster and Pereira are reparations but a round of the epic up water spilt out against Manchester United thank you pull out than having friends of Syria interrupted Yoshua was like it was an interesting character and of he is going to have an interesting job actually I will ask you about Kevin Friend I will keep because this will be the 1st time at the John Smith Stadium that we see a very curious situation a v.a.r. Which is something that is the video referees assistant and. Something that Kevin Friend will have the option to turn she won't see if he sees any decisions that he may be having a little selfish Neil small break a regular visit in the middle with a referee he's going to video shift and referee today so the should know what to do with no need to actually get into what could possibly go wrong followed you have a small town commentator the softening kickoff 530 John Smith stayed in the south in for this f.a. Cup match alongside McLennan as well as Phil towne summariser from a town goalkeepers headed south and in the 4th game now we've seen others fill town in f.a. Cup action this season we've had 2 games maybe with Bolton in Birmingham 1st where David Whiteley is gone 2nd string replay and now this game that looks like a strong start is a strong side but almost is running out of options anyway as the season is going on as a couple of French plays in craning and. 2 other clubs now and through injuries in different circumstances supply stronger stronger player is really the only one. I think is a major surprise in the 2 games recently because he's always played a 2nd string goalkeeper something for Coleman to look forward to get a 1st team action but that's football for years so. You know when the most of them I felt because in that spirit does spearheaded. The ball much. As we were talking the much through the Arctic temperatures. You could see the players were enjoying themselves when they were 3 when all we know is actually a time on the big shift and they were enjoying it you could relax and I don't know exactly which engine would have been the next day the coach journey home but even smiles on faces people have enjoyed being in training so it was important to win that game played a strong again today you play Manchester United. When the biggest clubs in the world we knew that go strong today and I think Wagner is on the right saying in going strong himself. There's nothing to worry about they've got going. 7 days until the next much against West Brom so why not have another positive one today which we can do go and enjoy those miles and Evans faces again some fans us know what you make of the teen years in the south been in for changes with David Wagner looks like a pretty strong line up but as Matt said maybe it's as much down to who has a vailable the south the new one triple 3 start sex with the latest w.r. So you can tweet us at w y s daily now there are some other games have been going on the South Bend over this being a 530 kickoff that we already know the results from in terms of f.a. Cup 5th round times last night so unless the City Beach Sheffield United one little while Chelsea advance to the courts upon this meeting how old they were in the early kick off in the 5th round the Sun afternoon Sheffield Wednesday in Swansea City going to need a great play after it finished goalless at Hillsborough in the 3 o'clock kick off so in fact in the 13 o'clock kick off West Brom of lost to one at home to Southampton Brighton and Hove Albion against Coventry City ended up being a quarter past 3 kick off said the latest in that one still a few minutes to go but it certainly looks like brightly go through when they lead by 3 goals to one elsewhere just from the West Yorkshire perspective this afternoon few minutes ago when I came to the national late this afternoon involving Halifax and guys Leigh both losing at the moment Halifax a 21 down at home to eb straight once guys into stoppage time I actually just wonderful time in fact notable guys the one made in 1903 defeat the guys are looking like that we see how it backs down hoping for better news for Huddersfield Town $530.00 kick off in the f.a. Cup 5th round the new not planned we looked at the team using terms of those that are playing what do they need to do this afternoon to make sure we are talking about those that are playing and not the ones that are playing I'm thinking about our knowing who we now know is going to be out for a couple of weeks and infection has picked up and they suffered on his knee against pole but not expect out of course he's Cup tie who played so so well and made Staveley I look like a rejuvenated forward against helmets on Sunday if you're going to apply it and while I don't want to I want to do just a big. But I think he certainly looked you know worlds away from how he played against Manchester United and Liverpool it was play he was helped out because he could play to be strengths which is getting beyond using his pace and also balls into the box which he can had so you know if you would have said made him look like a real plight you would have been a male a 1000000 miles away and that's not been his fault though because they have.
