Cup this week a simple question like that. Now coming up shortly as we do talk about death things and we have a laugh but we also I think it makes it. More real when we talk about serious stuff as well we don't fake editing on the show no I do hope that the enjoyment we have on the show comes across yet again if you're like mainly on the if you get up early it's a bit rubbish but once were you're brilliant Do you have the enjoyment come to cross and we talk about some real stuff so we have a laugh and we'll hopefully start your day with a smile but we also talk about some serious stuff as well don't like a couple going to break we're going to hear from a young woman from East Lancashire who has been incredibly brave and she's decided to share her story of a very serious topic domestic violence in the hope that she will help all the victims and it's a story I've been to meet her Nicole she's called from Lukman and it says it some of that she never thought she'd be and you could have that interview with her it's a case of well I was in this relationship which was horrible it was abusive it was violent. And talking to credibly brave she went if you just told me a couple of years ago I would be in something like this that's a shortfall I've got no hope in hell. She was and she wants to talk about it and it's incredibly brave and she's been helped an awful lot by the like you should victim service she's been helped an awful lot we'll hear from them this morning it's a very very brave tale and one you should listen to I wish we would share that with you in a 2nd right today's bits and pieces you want to them as needed you think Yeah and very You forget how big this program was much. Like this well Rob is Michael Jackson I just can't stop loving you that's what I thought was told you. This is you sure do I strike a. Regular on radio Lancashire Pete. But yeah. This is Kylie and I should be solo you're looking for today a strike you look at which was massive it was huge it was a really good program. Hotspots and yeah you got a hot spots was not a song with hot spots and no I know but you go. Yeah. And it was basically people walk across the border was on a you're going to cross that someone answered question and you got to press a button on a screen and. That was it and Michael Barrymore was huge Yeah he would go to shopping centers and do my kind of kind of people and it was an early kind of Britain's Got Talent in a way if you've got talent come or if you're really rubbish singer or whatever and then it come up and. It would they would laugh out that made me laugh with them and he performed with them if the rubbish even better but it was massive wasn't absolutely it's time now for you to take heart let's get lyrical get your hands on a break for want of a brand new. There's a qualifier. What we're looking for today well the actress Angela Lansbury all n.t. For today she still performs. Forms she's famous for playing Jessica flower in which crime series you know how many years this crime series went on but I think it's the one of the longest running ones in America it may not surprise you I watched a documentary Oh you should. Bring fascinating. All of them fascinating that's what you said you know 80 Blyton Oh she was all wrong a lot of things she was all wrong and she was right away during which she was already 9 very loving. And gentle ones were amazing amazing moment and t.v. Drama she was in was one of the the it was an n.b.c. In America and it was one of the most watched kind of crime all that was and the gory crime was one of the most watched programs ever it was myself. I know it's all about her relatives getting accused of murder I wouldn't want to be in a family so if she came around here if Jessica Fletcher was coming to visit you you knew that you'd maybe bumped off or you'd be accused of murder but you don't get out of it which crime series are we talking about oh $878.00 double 3583 lives up to half a calls afraid you need to be able 60 full turns on the let's get you let's get. B.b.c. Radio like b.b.c. Radio yet give us a call this morning if you get the ringing turn stick in there will grant you such as we can I weigh 107 a double 3583 it's about something serious now and here's something serious could sting about the show we talk about a little bit of everything that went a little bit of everything a young woman from like a ship has decided to share her story of domestic violence in the hope that it will help all the victims Nicole who is from Blackburn who was just 19 when she got into a relationship with a man who began to control more or less every part of her life during the 10 week relationship Nicole suffered threats of violence and was raped by her former partner now 3 years old she's told me why she decided to waive her right to anonymity to raise awareness for the reason boys going through something similar I went through you. Because thing is so important to speak out and speak to somebody because nobody should have to go through but. I thought it was I held to the point where through all told me I was worthless and it was more the word sometimes more than. Actual physical punishment it did and it was not you know would see my family and the control it had of me. When you look back now can you not quite believe how how badly got and how serious no it actually feels like a dream or sometimes maybe I ever done wrong saying Did I actually happen to the extent that it did. For telling my story will make it everyone realize how real this can be with someone so close to home you say control how much control do you have a. Member may he would only give me certain amounts of money to a bank or off May So he was in control of a few that I spent or where or when and he controlled my phone so if I'm wrong text me he would actually text or back me would not allow me to have my phone my car he sold my car and paid for myself and saved up for me make a Range Rover in my name which when I got home eventually after 10 weeks women don't have to pay to get it off and what it was was the one thing that you thought that that vote is definitely. The abusive sad and the sexual violence and just knew that it wasn't right and obviously I was scared to go out but I've collected money from the tail to work in the pope that he round collected lots of money and eventually went to the hairdressers car with men understood round got access and went but now he's in prison yeah he got 16 years right to ask about his family from. How pair bore It's a weird feeling like a god just death's book I feel maybe the time he's got maybe could be spread around for other girls or victims as well because it was such a long sentence which is really grim so happy about with so many goals of can forward to means that they've been through a similar situation but they're evident wasn't you know for got squashed or I just feel that everybody's justice to be able to come out a better person. And when it all came out when all the awful things happened she came out was a bit of a relief in a way because but by the sounds of it this was all on your shoulders you are keeping this room most people way yeah it was a huge relief I think I was overwhelmed to cry for day as close to happy but at the same time of an empty really really strange for un What would you say to similar women or men who were in the same boat that you were. Get strong I know you are strong because obviously you're going through at book Speak Out found somebody speak to if it's a friend or family member or the long victim services they offer a child I'm waiting people have to report what's going on to the place and just find that courage inside you to come and speak up and watch lifeline that amazing I couldn't be happier I've got an amazing family I'm actually within the end of the partner who's absolutely brilliant and I've got a good job and I'm a graduate and you know the life is good yeah then the day is my past now and I've tried to turn my negative past into a positive thaw people that probably aren't as strong as me because I do feel like a secure confident person throughout all I'm able to speak to anybody about and quite an open person and that's helped me massively just speaking out or. If someone says so confident when you before this relationship we one of these people going oh I would I would never do anything like that yet never expect it from myself and then when I was in it is that oh my god how to get out of there so found a nice get real and the courage in myself just to get out but I was gonna call on the other side. That's brilliant for Nicole to tell a story she's told it publicly to encourage people in similar situations to contact the Lancashire victims services and you support system which is specifically trained advisors to support people suffering abuse d. Conlan is the operations manager for domestic abuse and sexual violence and joins us on breakfast this morning good morning good morning how common are stories like Nicole's. Son played very common. Is a daily occurrence for us and I much of one thing that it was clear when I spoke to Nicole it was you know if you tell me 2 or 3 years ago I have been in something like they say let's get away I'm not going to be some memorize women that I'm men as well find themselves in situations and they think I can't believe I'm doing a split credibly how to get out of his and it is incredibly. Nicole is a very unique and very brave young woman. Look you know a lot of support from family. Which I think is really contributed to the speedy recovery that she's had no everyone is out looking. People anyone from any walk of life can find themselves the victim of a controlling hole and that's where a cell that everyone's experience is different. And yet Nichols obviously I look at that she does have a supportive family network around but for those men and women who don't have that who think where I'm I could I go next. Why do you think they can source for light and that's why we're talking today they're all support services out there we are all here 247 right across one teacher and all you need to do is pick up the phone leave a message on the website Join the live chat whichever way you want to kind of explore the options we're here to just do that just explore the options we know it's push people to I was certain routes. We had to help and what is the number if people want to get hold of you What should they do is all 30325 double 085 so that's out 303 to 5 away 5. Do blow double away 5 double 05 and we'll put those details on our help desk if you want to call us here b.b.c. Radio and I'm sure we will pass those details 130325 double 085. If you're after any more details about they can call our help desk or give us a call here 108078 double 3583 they call them thanks for joining us this morning at nearly 730 before 730 we have some good news this morning the National Lottery 25 years old next month flipping back and in that time it's giving funding to many different causes from arts heritage Charities Community and sports those of us who have played it have you know even you know a look at Dieppe or whatever you have contributed to the massive impact of south across the country Dawn is the chair of the National Lottery for him and joins us this morning to 25 years Dawn goodness me time has flown I know it hasn't it seems like just yesterday but in that intervening 25 years we've managed to support nearly 600000 different organizations with support for funding for grazed by a national lottery players so there are a lot of fantastic stuff is happening that 25 years we believe one of the 1st groups to ever benefit from lottery money was a more compressed band. It was indeed and that brings a smile to my face because I spent my summers in Morcombe I have very fond memories of it and we have an artwork that we're on veiling say actually in Manchester by a rather wonderful artist called David Mack and the more compressed band are in it all of which is yes it features all sorts of different places and projects and individuals who have an association with the national team most of whom have benefited from it in one shape or form or featured in something that is done and the more brass band are right there just underneath your drill bank which is right marvelous Yes Yeah and this has raised 40000000000 pounds yes this is make sure difference it's absolutely extraordinary so you can go from marvelous limbic athletes and Paralympians and all those glorious gold medals that we've managed to win in the last 25 years right through to tens of thousands of little community organizations villages. Local groups who have got small amounts of money a few $1000.00 pounds there's enabled them to do something that they would never advise been able to do maybe they've been running a series of tea dances or they've had a community lunch or they've wanted to do something just a celebration event in their local area and all of this is possible you know day in day out thanks to the National Lottery Ok Thanks very much for joining us this morning dawn. Of the National Lottery form right now just going to b.b.c. Radio Lancashire travel I'm George Wallace with the latest on the roads the m 6 on the northbound side the field will vie docks we have a lane closed off because of a lorry having a tire changed us from Junction 20 out towards junction 21 for Woolston and 6 southbound reports of a lane bought off because of an accident just near junction 24 for Ashton to make feel we have congestion already back towards junction 27 for Standish at the moment also looking very busy I'm 65 both directions between junction 2. He says the strength of League One is weaker than last season sadly just one place above the relegation zone after their $21.00 defeat at the weekend can really say there's more teams this year including Stanley they can fight for the top 6 places I don't think League One is as strong as it was last year last year you had Bonzi Luton Sunderland so not as strong as last and I still expect online content to go out so I think you're going to find that there will be a couple of teams that make the playoffs that you wouldn't have earmarked at the start of the season as potential to go up so it's still early days and the team that goes on a run at any time of the season is going to put themselves in a good position come come April and May time Charlie manage Jamie from a clearly Ses they'd be more than good enough to move away from the relegation places this season with my prize a 2nd bottom of the National League but with no defeats in for them a clear say as they are holding their own against a top teams in the division you know we've come up against a good side this season and we play teams who have been top of played walking probably the 1st game a season you look at the sides around you know you look at wrecks of files Chesterfields dude social well of what how and do anything that we need to do and I was like start to turn a few of these draws into a couple of wins and then we get ourselves out of the relegation zone and kick all the little bit you know with the the little bit of luck as well to quicken out over $550.00 players are registered to be part of the men's draft for the new e.c.b. 100 competition on Sunday Chris Gayle Steve Smith and David Warner among the 239 players from outside the u.k. More layers to yeah isn't. There way to do it it's all about how women perceive themselves about older women how they perceive themselves about grief Yeah it's too lovely very very good how they do it and the scene with the when they take all the kids off to to be photoed for the nude calendar it's very clever other do it. You just you marvel at what should it and you think that's clever they clever. It's just love it's real hard it's very warm thing to watch very very nice so give me an issue. Who knows maybe they will get their kids on stage yeah I'm saying maybe they maybe I need somebody so. Yeah look beautiful beautiful beautiful and what no mistakes look at the papers what we found I found a couple of really quiet heartwarming stories this morning thought was nice to me we talked nice things like the Thomas Cook shop saw some tax feeling this morning and I think they say I think the soul of flame. And what I didn't realize I got rats the bottom of the article actually relates to a lady living Centonze and like please tell me yes about the lady who sadly out said give her baby up for adoption 69 years ago and the adopted baby. Margaret decided she would she lived all the last of the lovely life with their adoptive parents they fortunately. Number of years ago when she decided when she retired I'm going to try and find my mom and she did all the diff the usual checks you electoral rolls this that number anyway she decided she was going to have a d.n.a. Test it and oh lawdy to Ancestry u.k. . The Web site that the use and the alerted to the fact that she was much to somebody in Australia so they got these contacts which trail you know that then pinged back to America and then she got a phone call off her. Off brother from America and said My mom still live in and she seemed like oh mater. How amazing is that yet so I don't know what they live in to each of the Dota Margaret lived in Portsmouth. She and the mother is now living in Centonze but regionally from Birmingham Wow Yeah. The story though that Miami to open she's found that. You know that of the family I just think that's so heartwarming So that was lovely and another heartwarming story well if you have a lost your wallet or your I didn't know. Well this gentleman was riding his bike and he realized when he got home is well at full and it was pocket and I thought for tonight you know I'm going to have to council my cars etc Anyway went on to cancel his card he looked at the statement and somebody had pull full lots of one pence into his bank and you know when you do a bank chances are you got a reference yes this person online number one said hi I found Yoel line number to a wallet in the road well I don't know if they ring the snow number full text or call me one of these guys yet it turns out you live to a mile down the road for a month I wonder how it is that in technology Well I would never thought of Don not that restores your fighters and it doesn't date the story doesn't then I want to know if you if you buy if you got any these items. Again coming back to appearing in the national papers which I thought was just cute little twins that were born and they were the size of a bottles when they were when they were born tiny tiny I think at least about all the $330.00. 2 pounds 11 ounces and 2 pounds 10 ounces Elizabeth and at a kid's 10 if I'm booked up and have There's a gorgeous picture of them there would be too little knitted woolly out so I'll look a little right so. We're going to slow down. One of the for the show only I don't believe we just thought of recent addition to our family he was. Not a one time line is I don't know I bet I don't know the cost of the show and watch out for that will bring. Along with my mind for the show I might know why not for the show doing the right I'm going to. Those problems on the m 65 westbound one line blocked in traffic due to an accident 4 cars involved and 65 westbound from Junction for trouble 6 to junction 3 the a 674 Charlie road it's causing a few tailbacks conditions are great this morning slow down everything everything will be fine right I want to know how small because like the brothers are open I don't think I've really.
