B.B.C. Radio Lancashire Thanks David 2nd hour of the show Friday Night program where we're looking ahead to where all the weekend's football we were hearing from John Coleman just before the news that 70 rather Fleetwood Town 1st team coach is with us and Keith Urban joins us from our Merseyside studio as well tonight if you're just joining us and you've had a look on social media already and you think Keith we've left him in the naughty corner just sat at a table with his back to Keith is in the Merseyside studio If your wondering so how is it over there Kiefer they look after you yeah just look was Falls I thought to be honest I'm just a little box room but I'm all right on the jealousy in Steve been up there but you drink in a lovely environment channel where. I was just wondering whether you prefer to look at 4 walls I mean Steve. Harvey over there you. Know we were hearing from John Coleman before the news at 7 o'clock and I just want to turn your attention to the league table where Plymouth are 12th on 45 points wall so all 3 points below them are in the relegation zone with 4 going down this season so from 12 to 21st 3 points is between them last absolutely incredible isn't it with 8 games to go yet and believable yet just looking at the league when we sell funny and you know you look at Akron's last fixtures I think I'm right and say enough to Saturday because they've got 2 games in hand after Saturday's away fixture 6 of the last 9 are at home and I think that will suit John Coleman and Jimmy bell down to the ground but of those 9 fixtures everyone and apart from Plymouth the something on the line so that the play in teams at both ends of the table you know they have suddenly and they have Portsmouth you have waltz all Wimbledon except for would challenging for a playoff player so it's going to be really challenging X. a. An end of the season for Accrington I think you know where I'm seeing him play and I don't know why I'm saying this I just see them from now it's a look and in that they're going to have too much to go down I think will be OK here but I think those 6 home games 9 in the run in are going to be pivotal to picking up the points that they need but like you said it is tough there is there it is nervous times but I think we'll be OK Keith I think that not. Underestimate the size of the challenge but obviously respecting the manager's experience and the team and the players talent I actually think the pitch Accrington is going to help them Keith I think all the home games that you mentioned there don't think the picture being great condition so of course they will be used to playing in it as opposed to the teams will be you know used to playing on better pictures will have to play in it just for that much it shouldn't have a large say but I believe it will are concerned I also think if there is a level game when there won't be much for being played on the pitch. Could not touch and share the game and get the points required to draw all the way to a safer position as well and when in a couple on the way looking at those fixtures Katie you mention that the so much riding on all of them. I'm just looking at 3 in particular Saturday choose the Saturday Wimbledon away Rochdale and Walsall home in those games would it be like John Coleman is someone who is desperate to win every game of football that he's in but all those for Accrington if they are still in a position they're in now games it's a don't lose lots don't lose those games because these days teams below him can't catch me that or lose. Absolutely I would agree. And often person experience I knew when we were in we were in the Premier League just the pure nature of in Holloway he wanted to win every game would God Listen who every player had which is fine but I think is the game drifts along in the 2nd half I think the whole mentality that we had a times you know has to be to know the equation you know when I reflect on that season of games and I think you know. It's after 70 minutes it's no Miller it's warm want to still flowed in players forward constantly trying to win the game and we end up getting done in the counter-attack and you just think just stay in the game let the game right shake hands on a draw and that point could be violent end the season and I think that's the mentality Akron probably have to have to have got the the 2 games in hand they're above the line at this moment and same as long as they don't lose to you Wimbledon's to Rochdale to Warsaw I think you know everybody would be quite happy with that Stevo do you think yeah I think you know Keith obviously is very astute I think is called it correct like I just said I'm to follow what. They won't get their own way which is the size of the challenge only want I don't expect them to go on a run. And win lots and lots of games product you stink you know they will we want here they will we won there and I just think those home games that Keyes mentioned are just think the pitch being a level and whether it be playing a team on the naething or above them I think we can just take a point from those games interest nudge the way towards 50 from your perspective and I know it's probably known for a question that you won't have seen them this season Akron system the ACA I can imagine you haven't seen that been on the telly a couple of times maybe a matter of course a little bit of those they would leak to last season which was an unbelievable achievement would staying in league warm even trying. Possibly. I think we mentioned earlier in the shore both leagues are quite similar in terms of quality obviously League One has probably the top and the pitch when you look at Steve's side of Fleetwood you look Chad Evans pretty modern West Burns you know quality you know to win any game I think that will be the difference generally is between all the leagues the quality in the final 3rd So that would be the difference really warmly to you you could argue that would be a bigger achievement for authors think the satisfaction John and Jimmy would have took from win in that league last season would have been immense I think nothing would beat that feeling of being a champion whatever Only you're in whatever sport you do whatever you're in volved in you know to be a champion and see you the best team after 4 or 6 games I think that would be an incredible feeling it want to win every game John you know I don't know him personally but you know listen he was in the views he'll feel they can win every game the season he probably thing in his own mind that they should be at the top end of the division this year. So he won't look at it like that I just think you know again well I haven't seen him play or you know if you look at them from the outside and I think of some words like fight energy enthusiasm I think John Korman in Akron stunning are all about those words and I think those qualities in caresses probably see them over the line I think will be fine in the end Steve where you know John and Jimmy Well I've known them both for a number of years as well and I am absolutely convinced that if they get enough points which I think we all hope and expect that they will to be in the division again next season they'll be no one celebrating but we know one part of each other on the back. Well I think we'll have more of a night of it. I think we'll probably have a so I dunno but I don't think you'll carry on through the summer like you probably did this year mean I was away with him for part of it I don't think we wanted them but I think it will be a relief and a joy as and when we expect to. It's up and they're not in any type of immediate danger it's just that you know our nation if you are if you like a brawl possibly expecting the worst through sport and through football itself but you know the challenge for me the pleasure of Fleetwood working there is the main focus you know somewhere somewhere down the line looking to be a concern and not help them. If on the end of the season we've got a great season and they're in League One I'll be fine by me Keith regardless of how we look at it if we're a football fan of anyone from Plymouth down on 45 points you thinking to yourself before every game we're in a relegation battle. Absolutely yeah and you know the format of the League of play and certainly a cheesy side there some weeks you know the picture changes very very quickly doesn't it so yeah absolutely you know Plymouth yeah you still look over your shoulder 100 percent. Navy times you just think you know that the amount of teams between Akron and other points won't say that but the amount of teams between them in the bottom for a search that they'll be fine I'm sure of it I know they had a brilliant start the season but you know let's have it right in similar budget and where there are you know financially just to stay in the leagues a real really achievement in the end just to take things back to Fleetwood for a moment Steve mentioned it a few moments ago about the top end of the players how important it is I mean I'm sure you've not lost loads of sleep about it because you want your players to be working with the pool for. How lucky Patty Madden to be overlooked for international duty Yeah possibly maybe a little Fleetwood maybe maybe League 110 Collins is go in and I think and and all those from Luton bought you know it was never really a grower at the time it wasn't a cake or anything like that you know we were just very very level headed He's the same person he trains every day same attitude same running data that the manager collects. Same dressing room chair is the same person I love consistency and he's. But a little bit unlucky on the part you know I don't think he was a stick consummate violent squad so not overly on looking and if anything that should just keep him hungry that he was mentioned for future squads and if he's been mentioned it means he's playing well for Fleetwood Town if I could just mention some about the top end of the pitch Keith was talking yourself and I was just thinking of are lots of Fleetwood actually Hans was not the one to go with Wes Byrnes actually not a sense combine Chad Evans party mountain one thing mentioned you hear all all to how many goals you got how many goals you got but also how many of the not missed the percentages of our strikers the strike to their efforts goal have been phenomenal You could hardly say that Chad Evans just been through games and he's missed a bagful he's missed a couple of Chad of only scored Patty Martin has not missed double figures chances actually Hans's percentages are on believable was burns the same we are not a wasteful team and that's also a key ingredient as well as the goals that you score how many do you not mess up as Absolutely it is narrowing you've what we strike as over the years aren't you that when you see them going through you know they're going to score don't you I mean looking back on your Blackpool days if Brett was in a red scoring straight called D.J. Campbell was or or whoever Scott Vernon you knew if they were in for May take him when you can't remember too many strikers are playing with that missed chance to have the chance at John may be a key part or fall in that category and score one in 12 you know a world leader you know a bend in the top corner although I think you know if you present decent opportunities for those like you just mention invariably the Tehrik them I just think you know they've got a real balance of Fleetwood Husni in terms of the strike you know we speak mean Stephen he speaks about Paddy Madden he's the probably type of striker that every club needs and warm. You know Andy Morel springs to mind somebody like that who who probably runs I don't know 1212 and a half King a game who's unselfish. After you wins headers. It's so important league one strike as of that ilk and added to that he's got the role Pierce of. And then the experience in the finish and power of Chad Evans might just to the playoffs the season no one's ruling it out this moment certainly not the morality I would have what a good example of someone who'd had absolutely wrong through brick walls for the same. Steve we mentioned just before the news that its 2 teams or perhaps even we matched yet exactly who is a draw ours was actually a drawing performance a get away at Burton we weren't sparkling we were efficient and we were clinical on the break with our big chance and we start a bit to do actually not to since 99 sliding in but we had 3 chances on the break loose a real level tight game it was a bit of a dead stadium and a bit of a dead pitch was nothing happening so you had to be fully focused and full of concentration experts Akron since so much the efforts despite their tails being up with last week's performance in victory and I just think are criminal just grind the way to probably a scoring draw tomorrow and Brett's is alongside down jewel for commentary of Akron's and Stanley's game tomorrow about you Kate. Tomorrow where we've got to your game against walls and ratings in the in the Premier League and it in leaks or wolves where looking forward to that and it's at their training ground so yeah they've been preparing all week for that song for the good stuff so it's Stanley going into the game 15th and it's able now be an 11th and there are 6 points between them in the table though very easy to forget that Stanley have played 36 games this season they were called off last week and they were also abandoned against Sunderland over Christmas so both of those games will have to be replayed we've got some important non-league business to attend to to morrow afternoon as well down jewel rounded up for an evil stick Premier Division Bomba bridge face a tough task as their horse league leaders fastly Celtic at I. Darwin had to haul Carl Boyce Yeah let's hope that the weather is a lot nicer than it was last weekend I can tell you snake past last Saturday was a very. Blustery on the way to Hillsborough to watch at Blackburn Rovers ship another 4 goals last weekend they're not in action this weekend of course a Premier League and a championship and Fleetwood town's games not happening this weekend jus to the internationals let's take into league 2 then this weekend where MORCOMBE head to Swindon this weekend the shrimp's 19th in the table it is a 9 point advantage between themselves and the relegation places stay there I'll be completely honest with you there were times a season that I was absolutely worried sick that MORCOMBE this year would be the year that we would lose more come from the Football League because of a riot e of reasons and maybe action at all because we know every year that Jim Bentley does the job that he does and he has made subtle changes to that same in January he's brought to lads and you can score goals at League 2 level and it's reaping the dividends isn't it yeah he always overachieve. Quite big we know that and we hope and this year I think we all have their doubts we played them in pre-season and it was that feel it's going to be tough. He shows you what sort of a job he's done when you see the message Chesterfield made last year and you see Notts County make in this year the oval are always hovering and failed I've never really got themselves going this year despite a couple one Sol Campbell 1st came in key would have just mentioned it about party mountains character but you need this in a football club is consistency they are never going to be great but Jim has managed to be make that team competitive and quite good all season and it's going to be more than enough and I think we'll just be comfortable by the last 3 or 4 weeks of the season which probably nobody was expecting it's all credit to everybody concerned it's quite a strange on Keith when when I look at the table now and see the 9 points clear of the bottom 2 it is exactly the same as it was this time last. Yeah and it took them until the final day to stay in the division because they had a horrendous room where they couldn't buy a way in between this point on and the end of the season and who knows whether that was the lads maybe thinking well it's job done we've got barn and Chesterfield still to play we'll be fine but then didn't losing games against teams below them I just get the sense we're going to hear from Jim on it shortly I just get the sense that last season and that feeling on the way back from Coventry on the final day when they got a goal or straw to stay in the division there was probably some boys on that boss who thought way aint going through this again. Yeah I mean hopefully they will learn both Geminis lads all learn from the experiences of last season and I think for the for the nerves thing for everyone concerned that they'll be home and dry well before the end of the end of the game the season certainly puts a little cushion isn't it 9 points at this stage I think it's obviously 5 or 6 months ago because like you saw of Andi I did fear for them this year he just continues to. To find a way at his knee Jim Bentley any stuff must be really tiring it must be draining you know fighting battles day in day out but somehow they always come through and I think this year will be no different I think it will be a little bit more comfortable in the last if finish for sure I think it will be mathematically don't before then well before then. It's just all credit the stuff the job that him and stuff and don't because Year in year out you know the probably got the worst if not the 2nd worst if not the worst budget in the in the in the division so the fighting fires constantly and they've done a marvelous job and emerge in the relatively similar as Michael Field Steve in terms of budget Yeah I don't know I never really hear get involved show any interest really in the figures our troops recognize as high medium and low recently no explode probably the lowest in the whole the Football League I watch them all the mathematic they played well having scored at crucial times one in the 1st minute one in the last ball for a run. Off the park they run through sense of midfield all night and it was a joy to watch actually where there was a freedom about them there was a target of a sense of that they really felt that victory was available for them on the evening and it was just an honest set of $4.00 that you don't always get but it looked like an absolute group of Honestly it happens a lot if you go watch MORCOMBE or Accrington Stanley the even if people don't mean to they turn up to a game when they've played MORCOMBE let's just take my. I'm as example Keith that any team playing MORCOMBE thinks for whatever reason Oh this should be our way and this should be our result and I think that my under Paul Scholes and all the Steve's alluding to people are gone Paul Scholes 1st or 2nd game in charge when here we go I'm more concerned open TURNER Oh. Yeah I think he is a manager you try to Patrice you know the characteristics that you are you know and I've said I don't know Jim Bentley personally annoyed was a big rugged center back that was aggressive at fate you know had determination and he'll be trying to install a new team obviously the mentality of he'll be using those statistics we are the last payers we have got the smallest budget we have we are written off season in season out that's gone prove people wrong and at the moment he tends to find a way I use that phrase find in a WHERE and that's what he does week in week out just to keep the steam and he's allowed to pull that dreaded there you know relegation lane and he says Steve went and watched that game and you know he did it he used everything you know the psychology behind it Paul Scholes this poor schools are and he managed to dig a result. Which is fantastic Keith is something else you know as well while he's still capable it was for 70 minutes on the night but when you've got a 40 year old running open down the left wing from start to as it was 70 minutes it doesn't spread energy around your team and around you benched for 40 year old he's playing like that and that's obviously carrying Alison and good luck to him we don't know when he's going to probably 10 years we've been saying you know a long as you go. For to me still doing it's fantastic. It's incredible I'm not here on next month Steven Taylor going around the block that's what he's doing now . Said in an interview is John Coleman was about Billy saying that people look at him and think he's a lot older than he is. My my wife was 4 turn 42 days ago. And I'm enjoying the next 9 weeks because I'm in my thirty's for another 8 weeks and that Jamie Hoyland is very quick to point out wow you must about a tough paper out if you're still in your thirty's I used to live the 30 so I must be part the Billy K. Club as far as Jones concerned we're going to let's hear from Jim talking about the shrubs 9 points above the drop zone he thinks that this year is just a little bit different so the way it was last I've said all along I feel the chemistry is a little bit better this season but I think with Been looking a bit better obviously at the moment I'm far better form what we wear this stage last season when we were on a little bit of a downward spiral last season this season but on the way off there's more teams in and around the bottom so at the moment because we've pulled in the likes of Cambridge chloral etc Or say there's always twists and sands we call a guard against or. Just go Sherman than saucily just Simon the game if you don't win it science make a point from it and move on to the next game you mention the chemistry be invested a season so you are able to stay start thinking about next year in a people you want to tie down to some exciting players around it and know that that is you have again usually what happens evolves you know we spoke to certain players but we'll keep that options open because then that it's been proven in the past we are a small club with a level plays financially location no bigger club think I'm patient whatever that may be you know concert on these things what we have proven in the past than you know we still get the credit from it now we speak to certain plays of calm down a little bit for us and gone somewhere else not maybe not have developed for them we speak to them and they say you know if my best football I'm often at the ministry and someone in columns of A Day in a cold place obviously scorn the 4 goals others best would say and he's nearly enjoying his football he's a player I'd like to keep it all to any one years of age. We're not in the position to be able to flow that much money at them to make them commits because obviously they know that if the doing well a They're going to they're going to cut it. Potential. Clubs elsewhere so it's an awful lot for those as a say we're not one of the big boys and one place in this day and age will always keep that options open but what I'm focusing on the minute main thing like you keep saying whatever players playing for us at the moment whether their future lies a lot lies somewhere else while they've got that shares on they give their absolute sort of sign get us up the table where we all want to play and then we can it's just often just one last word the way you get players to stay is to have more money is to increase the crowd says this brightly gate Initiative at the minute with 5 pounds to get into the Cheltenham game near the end of the season just the way forward is now definitely over yes Grace it's a. Great idea involved in the game a few years back now when we played there are going to sleep together and you know want to be superior if we can keep the gap or even improve the cup you know really enjoy the season you know when they get the local community beyond this because it keeps out of said it all on the prison model dues at the football club the board people like Rod say and allows us to like or miss the more me self you know we've been here a long time you know people come and go but at the end of the day the football club will always be the communities in the community you got to buy ins about and this is a great idea which gives them an opportunity to come watch football our level for a father you know come and bring the family come and bring you know friends whatever that may be unsigned push this case and see what we can do more we can achieve you know will be clays of she in a lot of clubs I think comes the other similar thing this season and you know they they have to get a great turnout so that's all from we can. Hold with this initiative that the club will put in place because it will be fantastic I chip Bentley there sounding like a go to chill box out there was fixing something as he was doing an interview there with Tim PADFIELD a B.B.C. Radio link should. I tell you what Steve I want fancy being a chief executive at the moment trying to get bums on seats whatever the level of football it is because it easy job is no it's not an obviously you know society. It's a search that. Difficult you know if we wanted to be a family game still in the community game but the prices of such I mean I think our chairman has all different sides of initiatives to help people come to Fleetwood Town and actually go and watch them on the travels to difficult it's a challenge and we all of the game but there's also a lot of access now to watch football through media social media catch it back up quickly after the game and it can create a lazy existence from the football fan but obviously we cry out for the ones who genuinely want to get so hopefully long may continue the initiatives like more committer who never be anything quite like going to a game play thrower. Love Steve M D I love I mean I speak for every football fan up and down the county will live and breathe for Sattar there it's the highway if anybody's week. Going along the games cheer and support a new team on I think we live and breathe it so yeah these clubs it is a difficult situation you know the live and die you know by the the money that they generate through the game at times so the have to put these initiatives employers and you know it's tough for a club like MORCOMBE isn't it you know or the the catchment area where there are like Fleetwood it's difficult to get the amount of bodies through the turnstile as is required. Good luck to them I think is doing a modest job Jim Inhofe winning get as many people through the turnstile as possible between now and then the season one of the worse things is Jim mentioned in our interview that it's the best in the worst bit the gym will spot a player employee one from somewhere and I'm thinking aren't Colleen's is wall news come in in this window he was released by wolves in January spent the 1st half of the season a culture starts and 6 sub appearances for culture he's made 4 stars for MORCOMBE and scored 4 goals already as a 21 year old young lad from Wales and he's at spells with Newport Maidstone interim mirror Notts County and. Loans all over the place and so was decided that he wasn't going to go any further with them MORCOMBE of brought him in and they've brought also they've also brought in Richie Bennett's on loan from Carlisle 5 goals in 9 starts. And the thing is Steve Jim Bentley will know very very well that all the clubs are watching going to where they go in from or actually he's only contracted for the rest of the season and more can one of them go back to a parent club or clearly don't want him and the other is going to be out of contract in the summer or if he's not got another year is going to cost next to nothing to stay the way you have put I think teams mentioned it quite rightly but I also think that's what makes him so endearing I don't think you look beyond I don't think you can look beyond the next week or fortnight MORCOMBE in in terms of players' contracts John you should do it or are concerned Jim's doing more come I think you are literally the window per window literally you know not even not even season to season literally per 6 months on the basis of what we're seeing this year is to me fantastically well Keith I know that management is something that always interested you you're a coach at this moment in time just like Steve is C's been a manager as well when we look at the job that Jim Bentley is storm because MORCOMBE all very rarely in the top reaches of the league to table and that in the lower reaches but staying in the division does not go against him when jobs further up the line come up possibly Yeah he's not a fashionable clubbers even for League 2 standing. He's always seems to be fighting relegation but when you scratch beneath the surface and it doesn't sell holes doesn't tell the whole story what he's doing and so you do so you know. Look at the budget that is we're in and the facilities that he has it is the spores or the etc etc So he says he's doing the best of his ability very very well you know the hand that he's been dealt. I think probably deserves an opportunity certainly at a bigger more fashionable club if you like without being disrespectful to more of them at the table and League 2 or even League One job I think he's served his apprenticeship he's done very very well. Must become Drennan and Steve and Steve you've been a manager most become tiresome at saying the fight every single day you scratching around looking for law. Constantly looking for someone else something to better what he's already got and you know the 2 lads you just mentioned of Comintern really really well you know it's no guarantee that just literally gambles that he stick in there you know opponent on open not the same through the end of the season and I think for the law and I think it deserves an opportunity you know the league Yeah I think you're right Keith and I think you've got to have incredible energy levels that's one thing monitor Joey Barton has got want to be the greatest attribute he's got this you know he's bringing up a young family home but he's 18 hours a day when he shows no sign of losing any energy only increasing all the time I get the feeling Jim's like that from afar don't seem like a used to and I'm feeling old tonight when I talk about our coach you Jim Bentley. So it doesn't do much for my esteem tonight so. The energy levels a crucial and I just see it see in Jim and I also think he's got a good assistant in Ken McKenna and slowly but surely Well it's not actually slowly it's actually built up over 11 years I think is now what Obviously you should get better at the recruitment as you go along over the time I think he has what was he like to coach Big Jim What year was a center forward was a sense of forward at Manchester City you can imagine. Passion around back to goal it was always the Center for the played alongside him that would benefit most and it was just as he went through the youth and towards the program and ended up MORCOMBE there as a lot of players do you just move through the lines into midfield and eventually into the back but obviously then got a career and a love affair with Markham saying wow the things that you learn when Steve are on the program what you're talking about tomorrow than Swindon they go to Swindon come they. Get case club but so I'm like well why I know quite a bit about Swindon because Keith and. I know Richie Wellens the manager which is my neighbor MCCUTCHEON would be him twice a week he will spread out tomorrow and believe his way of playing football has he used to play him self as the next teammate Keith will be how the game should be played so the big open spaces tomorrow big open game. Again not consistent Swindon more compatible the way it makes the game slightly closer or put it in Swindon favor the size of the club probably have got better players but more MORCOMBE of shown the got more than a point of chance in every case so many people think about border and Adam as your midfield partners but how good was Richie Rich she was excellent. Education at Manchester United. Very close to play and I think he maybe did play in their 1st team on the odd occasion. I think want to destructions outside of football led to him coming to Blackpool but you could see he was a town the player. Could handle the ball could receive in play and pass scored a career call a number at home against Paul Vale from the halfway line and a game I played in. And then he left and strange circumstances when he went all them we got Scott Vernon return I think I only played with Richie for just over a season but never the last comment on the various games from time still chat and reminisce but yeah outstanding career went unless the for a 1000000 pound so he did well out of the game I think and he's established himself now as a half decent young manager and I would wish nothing but the best I'm really hoping the avoid defeats more of the shrimps case to see that. Long Steve I think he's probably seen more football. In Lee warningly 2 level obviously than I have. I think just looking from the outside Swindon at home nothing really a player for the kong get relegated the not going to go I think will play with a little bit more freedom and I expect them unfortunately for more fans I think expect them to be more and more OK More to come from. Steve in a moment and we'll look at the F.A. Trophy game for an A.F.C. 5 B.C.E. Radio like a shot with Sally data will ever believe it but I think I have a solution there are quite a few World War 2 anniversaries coming up including the 75th of the great escape you may not realize it but it was a true story and a Lancaster man played a key role the problem is somehow to get rid of this kind of the comic Of course this Monday Sally Naden discovers the incredible untold 10. Trifles and one I already have it works B.B.C. Radio like Isha time it is 22 minutes before 8 o'clock this give the answer to the trivia question shall we see Me which was can you name the only man to manage a team to win the Champions League the European Championships and a World Cup Let's see if they've OK thought. Including on this Marcelo Lippi is one of the guesses we've had in tonight that is incorrect and is intervenes adown was another one that was offered as well as did a day short but none of those 3 a correct OK Any thoughts you know how it's a slight cheat so I'm not going to you know I'm not going to do it well I have a colleague of Fleetwood tell Mr Reddy Jennings who helps us on all things football . Board level it helps us build in the culture and before he had time to put your brain in gear and really give this question some respect he was in touch with the answer so I kind of like know so. All credit to him in his No it's which I gave Keith a go there any ideas Kate. Del Boskin correct well done Vicente del Bosque a who was of course so successful in lower league and then with the Spanish national side now and this weekend the National League picture this is another very intriguing promotion race this year at the top of the table Leyton Orient $73.00 points Sali hole Moore's $73.00 points Wrexham $72.00 sulphide City $69.00 A.F.C. Filed $67.00 heritage $66.00 East least 60 for the playoffs going on a 7 wall up automatically at the end of the season is always the 2nd and 3rd or guaranteed to go through to the 2nd phase of the playoffs and then for 5th 6th and 7th start the playoffs in earnest after that important to say as well filed have got a game in hand and by tomorrow night they'll have another game in hand because they're in the F.A. Trophy tomorrow the semifinal 2nd leg against a national northward Stockport late nor It's also an action tomorrow in their F.A. Trophy game as well so it is going to be so finely poised between now and the end of the season filed are going to play Saturday Tuesday Saturday choose the Apart from Easter weekend for the rest of the campaign. It's really difficult one state when you're a game away from Wembley you know the biggest priority of the only priority is the league I think Keith would be better judged with his career to have those feelings . Know very much of the stable the school wants to win every game and and believe that the momentum know it can work both ways momentum by the way you can who you are and you can gain from it but no Wembley semifinal playoff place for you your life go to your life go to. Up and say football's got your life away from football's court you're competing in on so many fronts you know just keep the pump bubbling almost to the point of it going over there I can agree with Steve completely. You just want to play a really good player year you've got the bounce and work every single day. And you just want to keep playing as a player you know I think you find it very difficult to manage S.S.T. We're going to leave you out on a day with a view to play and choose their. You know I don't think football is quite get the head round that if you play him well results are going well your life is good keep playing me managing or keep playing that's the that's the theory behind I think so I just want to play every every week twice a week 3 times a week whenever the games come around because you're informally happy they couldn't go and you know you don't want to tempt fate in this I was having a look at the fixture catalog between now and the end of the season and they could end up being at Wembley Fleetwood Town twice what. They filed now you're not going to ice your regular leader wards. I have seen Falco twice in 6 days they could go the F.A. Trophy on the conference play off final in the space of 6 days they've charter of is Less Than 0 think Charo Let's get the job done before we talk about that but I know. This so much it's a play for Steve isn't that going to be a great end to the season yeah it will be thought about daydreamed about but it won't be talked about on the I'm confident of I think that's football for you I think across the board look no further than your next game when you next game don't go too far ahead of the not in the mantra Yeah so they go to Stockport tomorrow or see filed and their manager Dave Chana says it's potentially a huge week in the whole history of the cloth a season source for also that it is about games sites in the east that when it is Friday morning there were such issues in our boots from now on into the season you've only got a look at the light so this at this weekend seems of came up they will be in the semifinal will get to a final choose they going to go into the league leaders away from home and then a T.V. Game or self Next Next up there so a really really great week really good week to look forward to unlike say one that could be season defining again beyond the league games we've got left we've really got make sure make sure without it we know that the league with there being so many teams in the in the shade we know that we've got to put a really gotten together it's one that doable However it will be ill be difficult but I suppose that the the big thing we can is we can't just focus on on such a game and then regardless of what happens they'll be a real real quick turnaround on the focus such they are 5 o'clock 6 o'clock whatever time it will be will to enter will to insulate in order to get seen hopefully to be able to go there and when and if we can win there again that really deals back into things by dragging one of our rivals closer to us so it's a really exciting and really looking forward to it hopefully lots can go and perform most of all enjoy it sure they can do as you say massive week as the boys looking is in going into this week if you would say this is our last week where we've got a free week if you like and it's allowed us to take somehow a little bit it's a not a long standing problem so he other get an injection on Monday. Fingers crossed that we'll get over the trail throwing today but that will hopefully certainly see until the end of the end of the season and be a stop to the slight issues we are all in came off at half time on on Saturday with growing tightened up with some of these hopefully again he'll he'll train today and be and be fine aside from those 2 we've always got the 3 lads who are. All else is in decent shape we've got niggles like everyone's got niggles we've got Lodz who has been out for about 6 weeks came back again broke down Liam's hamstring we've been back doing functional stuff on the grass will join him today is he much wit no he's not bought we'll get people back to be able to train if you like and and hopefully we can just everybody available I think at this stage of the season especially with what there are in terms of what's on the games it's rattling the plain awful awful big. Lads want to be out there and want to be out there to achieve so we're like a really decent place and hopefully between now and into the season we get on bottom and play the ball in a while because then to a nice few to get back to stop or as well yeah be going to be a fantastic atmosphere we knew that when this tie came around that of the 4 clubs that were well left we were the smallest in terms of in terms of fun base and I believe that Telford noise basically sold out on such a. Stop or. Spending more in the league 34 weeks ago or 6000 there so it'll be a great atmosphere quite hostile for the players but listen I've said it before you almost go there and punts on Villa Villa little bit we've got to make sure we go there and we are we are we make it difficult we go there flights A full of confidence and look into looking to win ball looking forward to playing in an environment that really test your test you Bentley brings out the best in cool place well though there are I wish F.C. Filed the very very best of luck tomorrow going to stop ordering. The division below I mean stay have been in a Greater Manchester boy self Stockport County when you look back the Donnybrook Garra days in the Kevin Francis in preseason all these guys. They have their fans must of been through everything in recent years seeing them tumbling out of divisions and that sort of thing and where they find themselves now I really hope Charlie go from the National north by the way as well before a say this if it doesn't impact and I like Chicago by hope they do well because that the fans must have been through absolutely everything yeah I mean my father was very occasionally he'll tell me you know they were 5th in the Championship Speedman city of Maine wrote you know so you can there's a lot of romantic stories of the past but also of that in my quite Satterlee when I was a young schoolboy in Greater Manchester in selfhood stop it didn't offend you you're either city or United mostly And you quite like stop all because you would never play in them and they could never really you know do anything against you but we also used to play in the Friday night if you remember on the players from me so you kind of like cheer them on on a Friday night and occasionally you go you've got to tell you know you kind of like at this affection for them and then the Lincoln you miss it the bar of soap slip out you run type of what's up and there they found themselves in the Conference North you know solve York City Chesterfield have nearly dies with it this season it shows you what can happen and if you don't want to be a football club properly that's what those up and. Filed a got to know if they're going to a team a division below them although they're flying in their division. Yeah I mean you dicks on the on the face of it expect them to go there and get the result that the need. You know it's never easy in these cup competitions like China and I said there's going to be 56000 fans there so it's going to be tough but I think they're in a really good place this moment failed is a real balance about them real energy about them. I don't expect them to get there get a result they're definitely you know a lot of fun the still playing from software nil nil the 1st leg was last week. MIL far and late Norrin take a war merely to Telford in the other semifinal late nor imply filed on choose the night at Brisbane Road in the National League top of the league against 4th we will bring you for much commentary on that game on Tuesday night it's great stuff was going to say 40 is great when it really football is great but there's a bad thing this group and in about a week's time it's going to end for a few weeks no go go. You know looking forward to a break no no you know you're looking forward to the 1st day of preschool it's obviously there's no I mean the thing with the playing tonight was no will cope or your old domain so no no no reporter at all that's the thing is now what do they call it well some international competition in the summer oh what's it called the nations League the other one physically sort of walking football is doing these guys will. Be ever done every summer to really look forward to I'd love to see the tackle it walk in full force that would be absolutely pretty good. You want to play a lot. Of plan and in all honesty we have stuff football I'm afraid an afternoon of it just for 30 minutes and we've got a lot of exploration haven't so I mean you just have so it's really competitive I just fly around a lot slower than I used to bear in mind but I love trying to kick lumps out of people we have analysts playing we have sports science let's play and then we also have the X. Play as well our coaching now so yeah I love the competition but I don't get enough of an hour and you never get an opportunity to play elsewhere just give us an idea of some of the lads that you play the game with now because the majority have probably been in the studio. Yeah lot of them are obviously. Phil Jevons a player for MORCOMBE and fans will remember him played at your Grimsby so he Koch is in our players Tom Kearney who played a long time Bradford City players we have. John Miles who played at Michael's field and kid down to start a Liverpool he players Scott feel and I think that how he fucks non-league So we have Paul tear played at Rochdale Bristol Rovers soever we have a fair few lads Francis Jeffers joins in from time to time so we have a lot of X. Pros still still trying to tear around and sure that we can still play on the no side of ruck Bodo whole island or KELLY Yeah no no and you can get him at the county and. Be fair to be fair to be fair than a saw easily 6060 years of age and I see him running around with the injured allowed to own the $23.00 group when he's a me isn't how 50 years how fresh years how enthusiastic he speak about a man you know with energy and drive you know he's got a newborn in the pond and a lot of talking to him about the game you know his knowledge and everything about him was brilliant new book coming out soon after his 1st warm if you've not had a chance to read his 1st book get the smell of football make sure you get it it will have you laughing out loud when you read it it is a brilliant brilliant story. Just before he went back to have it in the season came to Aston Villa with me earlier this season for the ridiculous game between Villar impressed the northen which ended in a 3 hole drawer which to me kickstarted north and season and the M 6 was short for ages and ages and ages Keith all the way oh yeah. It felt like the journey was 20 minutes because he was just brilliant company all the way it was hilarious he could just tell your story about anything yeah it's. Non-starters ne Yeah I love talking to them yeah he's out there at 60 years of age past maybe as he is over 60 and I just turned 60 and as just turned 60 well ease out there doing exactly the same run in in rehabilitation as well you know the 19 and 20 year olds doing that in this one a 3 would be amazing and his wife Julie was 60 this week so I could bet they too were Julie there is this quite locally basically about so where we love him to bits and let's have a look at surely shall we National north for them this weekend they play lamington their 4 points clear at the top of the table no stop or and spending more have a game in hand over them stop or 4 points adrift of them spending more 10 points further back when a season has been 21 wins out of 35 games 71 goal scored 4 surely this season has some written is a manager Jamie even make we have accumulated a lot went home and a home record is as good as anyone that has been for the last few seasons if you do look at that game and the neutral look at it would probably be odds on favorite to win it let me put it in the box. That away form is a great there's a lot going for us or you've seen last longer go after came to our place and they took 3 points of us because we just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net so the most likely thing to happen as a game is that we'll have more chances without water or but we need to make sure that we work hard we get the ball in there keep a clean sheet and get the 3 points but you know it's not easy at all and we're not we don't take anything for granted it's been a positive for the 3 or 4 games intensity that we've shown at the very beginning of games it's been that it enabled us to be on the front foot to get an early goal to also to develop the confidence of one of the lads but games being great on the court well that's because you don't believe the last few games for us but that's a key message really that I want them to know that it's socially poor that they get the game vault in the game 1st but especially when you've got the likes of Lemington who will bring that many of us here will. It won't be as fantastic as if for example Woodstock didn't think it expert to realize that what we need to try to create our own our own atmosphere with the fans can help us do that despair as our 4 points clear as we've mentioned 7 games to go how confident are you that you can turn what has been a great season into a promotion winning season that are confident that a conference of what we do and are very confident that we are as good as any side in the league and thus far we've been able to prove that what is at least consistent is the vast majority we got more points on the board everyone else. We've been 1st place for more than 90 percent of the season and we put ourselves in a great position so I'm very confident but a couple of what we. Just hope that we get that little bit look what we need it open to the result goes goes our way with many Hopefully by the time we come to the bar was also want to play better part of a new life. We could be champions because that is that's what we've dreamed about that's what I've read about that's the message that we've been put across right from the very 1st pre-season session open till now so I made up to still be with a realistic chance but you know I really love the part of that interview then Steve that we heard. Scott Wallace our reporter saying how confident are you and the manager turns around he says I'm very confident I love good will I think be part of a club where they've been around it now for you know with playoffs and things like that now more than one occasion and it looks like a pillar to post job to share in terms of from start to finish the if you have blazed a trail obviously the gap has narrowed and shrunk a little bit but if you stop fully just got enough to get through and get over the line I spent 6 seasons there myself as a player so I know where the community I know the people behind the scenes and look to see them back on the if you can get surely go in it's a great catchment area isn't it our member I'm in the conference every trophy semifinals are played in a couple of big games yourself you know you know but now it's are 2 for level of what they're out now and have been so close. With the play off things that they've had a game back to the show before you know what you mentioned before about clubs progressing this is been probably at least 4 seasons of progression and winning football matches that momentum is crucial so that he's a really good example of what a number 2 can do is name he was supporting my job becomes his own and he's taken them a step further so far and he's doing a brilliant job as me just pulled up the league table on me for Nani because I wasn't aware of what the points was I knew the top of the league didn't or quite where the stud you know in terms of points and called different success. Like Steve said you know that been been leading throughout 70 points on the board then a really really good position to finish the job off and get promoted getting there get it done stay yet to do I do as much as the set I'll grades is to be complete on all fours I think stop all get bogged down. And I don't take anything away from Chile they've. I think they're probably best talented midfield players to Josh Wilson is the cause of our manager Joey Barton running a similar traits. All action midfield player who's helped himself to plenty of goals I think one important goals this year I think to get the back is crucial and I think Matthew and he was also at Fleetwood has had a good season as goalkeeper I'm probably on the cell and the monitors achievements in the rest of the play so just stop to keep going yeah and the priests who were mentioned a little bit earlier is number 2 in the so you know some real good football people Charlie and and having been. A regular visitor there when Gary Flitcroft and my young son were in charge we win with one or 2 fund raising nights that they just a really good football club as you mentioned you've been part of it the people there who are probably still there from your time I would imagine yes you absolutely can right Dave Murgatroyd. And again you know just traditional things the ground trying to upgrade it the black and white stripes you know all the faces that you see on the terraces. That I've been going as long as I can remember you have to just stop we can just push on keep going maybe a debate for another day the manager is a school had teacher if they get to the conference it's pretty much now a full time division there's no I mean the be a lot of players are not sure the dressing room who might have some really big career decisions to make Yeah but again let's just make sure they get there 1st I've got to check next time absolutely right so this weekend even for just just to recap on the black polluted Bradford even if they can get the win tomorrow and results go in their favor a little bit they could move to within touching distance of the top 6 I know it's a big if but if they can get the win tomorrow could it start them for the last few games to really get them in a position where they want to be challenging Absolutely and yeah I think you know for Korea's isn't there's no it's all brilliant you know it's the only game weighing of the law of losing 3 nowhere for more my last Saturday when you lose you goalkeeper through a horrendous Achilles injury but you always get another opportunity with football and the next opportunity is tomorrow where BRADFORD What a game you know and not only for the players to play the really going relish plain from a 1617000 fans and what you see obviously they've got the potential of a points deduction lumen or you know hopefully things core there when they don't get law and they're like a few more wins in maybe challenge for the playoffs yeah it's a good time to be a block but I think at the moment you know there's a freshness there's an energy about the players saw hopefully Terry McPhillips and his team push on and get a victory tomorrow so Keith thanks so much for being with us we love to have you back on again in the very near future Steve I will see you at Valley Parade tomorrow the common room is next. In the last 3 to Markham bank nothing to the I received good friends good company. Great music. Fix is B.B.C. Radio like.
