We wouldn't of reclusiveness it something too often we feast he said you know this kind of key areas we can do really well as I look into their relative you do not with a lot of players in the past and help me to move on to the next level so to speak but in terms of what he does have now as you say he's got something already that you can build on what does the offer of the most apply when he was a 6 for a fool he said it's evacuees You know he with decent speed and a great core skill sets or that without getting too much out too soon you know he's he's come into primarily sauces and competes in the back 3 full back in waiting but I'm sure the time is as we know the move on him he can he can move around that that plant I'm speaking of a friend of well I maybe the league has played in the process of this play in the past how do you feel those leaks compacts the championship is still a young man served in the experience of playing in the Bulls days you played a little being pretty pretty high and in South Africa he's gone over and played the n r c which is a very false game in Australia so you know you say that with these is a little bit of northern hemisphere rugby we want to go back we're trying to evolve and continue to to play with a new new style new brand of rugby and hopefully what he can bring you in complement what we're doing as you bring players in you seem to fall in place from elsewhere on a championship defining from abroad you find from the lower levels from high levels how do you identify a player like Brendan before you bring him in the sense Scout service they figure out how to look in if they apply that you were already familiar with them you'll talk about it and they were being probably Mont Tremblant and probably came on the scene about 2 years ago and one of the rival to bring him in and that as he's developed time and and as for something going right place the right time one option presents itself the rates like it and and you know it's just the time has come together and and because we want to see him we've got references on 2 years ago then another 12 months. Again you just like you know who's in a little house have been fitting in with the squad so far injuries only been here a week so part of the big side as he settled in well yeah I think I. Learned to do so so good obviously with the growing injury list as you mention we like to see any more faces potentially coming in an issue with what the states Jersey Reds director wrote to Harvey Billy on their discussing new signing Brendan o. In the club's growing injury list and teasing Reds fans there suggesting that more new signings could be on their way into the club well as and when received confirmation of those new songs would bring you right up to speed with them why is he on the baby say across the Channel Islands Next up this afternoon are we going to be discussing the Jersey Boys Of course record the 14th straight leg when earlier on but 1st we can confirm the full time results from all the football action has been taking place across the water in the u.k. All of that cyber We did hear from Gary frame in their minds earlier on and live commentary came from myself James whites Richard Cole and some wire from that club director in horse fell very very shortly in Bay But 1st his post Malone. Long. From the. Past. Postman in circles on b.b.c. Radio Josie b.b.c. Radio go and see a sport saying that I often they were made James what loads to talk about as often as a wise guns e f C's guy earlier on postponed due to delayed flights all raining out a problem with their stuffing in their crew numbers early on in the day which meant they had to the. Flight and push it back which meant that Guernsey f.c. Took the decision to postpone their game Guess which the board sounds about Mo football action in Guernsey today despite the game foot's line being shadowed for today in the 1st place of course we have had some football action in Jersey though the Jersey Boys are 5 nil win against Dorking Wanderers reserves extending their lay at the top of the combined counties Division one that 10 points clear at the moment as things stand on 39 points they have won 14 games out of 14 a remarkable start to the season for them also on phone on points my math is wrong then all of that on points they're on for their own $42.00 points I believe after their 14th straight win of the season a fantastic start to the new campaign for them and the jersey Reds of course were beaten by $42.00 points to 19 earlier on but sticking with the Jersey Boys been a believable start to life in the English football league structure for them they start of the season with a remarkable 13 game winning streak heading into this afternoon's fixture another winter life I've gotten though as I mentioned earlier on and they're well on track to hit their target of gaining promotion come the end of the league campaign the players fans and stuff at the club were always confident of their chances of vying for promotion this season but I've been catching up with a commercial director in horse well who insists he didn't expect such a rampant start no obviously not James we didn't know what to expect when we entered the league obviously if we benchmark Sagan's Yes see what they did in this division where they are now I think the only street is we expected to be promoted but it's still a long way to go but you know it's a 100 percent winning record you know it's pretty incredible speaking to some of the playing and coaching stuff then actually quite modest about their achievements so far they don't want to get too far ahead of themselves but for somebody at board level who's watched their games from afar so to speak come they go all the way this season with a 100 percent winning record few 100 percent when a record for a whole season would be pretty incredible so I don't think that is achievable the players you know. Human there's going to be a lot of factors that will come into the season for example the jersey Football Association representative League side they play in a cup competition so they they will take the 1st pick and players that weekends to will effectively be missing maybe 16 players that's excluding anyone that's injured or suspended say you know there's a lot of it could be missing that weekend but let's just put it into perspective a.f.c. Wimbledon when they were reforms they started in the same league it was a $42.00 game season and they didn't do it they drew 4 games so that's a very very tall order you know objective as it was beginning the season is promotion to success stories like i.f.c. When wouldn't you mention they give you scope and belief that similar footsteps can be followed for a club like the jersey Bowl Yeah absolutely I think I think you know we look at you know there's a.f.c. Wimbledon but we look closer to home so we look at see Karni 2 divisions above us you know we'd love to be in their division can we go higher who knows again looking close at home look at the Jersey Reds for example they've managed to turn their club into a professional club I'm not saying that we want to do that but we certainly want to progress and get up high the league as possible you know bringing bringing big competitions to Jersey such as the f.a. Cup or or the f.a. Trophy f.a. Vase there were things that we want to do is that something that eventually could be possible not necessarily in your on but is it feasible eventually for just have a professional football club I don't see why it wouldn't be easy on the horizon the moment no you know we'd like to maybe get the players some station a semi professional element c.f.c. Of got like 8 years on us and I don't think there are that stage yet so so who knows what's around the corner I think you know for that kind of sort of expenditure you need to have probably your own facility which going c.f.c. Having built at the moment there's a lot of talk at the moment about a single usage stadium and you know little. Things there such as you know like the bar takings for example we don't take that at Springfield at the moment you know Kenny does a great job with his team down at Springfield and that's that's their revenue but little things like that where you can have your own facility it helps a lot for the sustainability of maybe semi professional club was disappointing where you came last week and of course you were set to play Chessington and took away from home the home was postponed fairly last minute on the Friday night 1st what were the financial implications on the club of that decision financially it doesn't really make any any difference to be honest James you know we plan in this club for 2 years we expect games to be called off because of bad weather we expect incidents with fog which we haven't had yet and there will be cancellations that's just part and parcel of sport especially the lower down the pyramid you are you know expect the grounds not to be as good in terms of drainage in terms of ground staff and what sort of good stuff so there's lots of ways that we can mitigate things against that So for example in August we actually played 2 games in 2 consecutive days this was purely on a cost perspective we won both our games we didn't concede a goal and both those ties were played within a 24 hour window so why can't we play Saturday Sunday in the u.k. And that would just you know mitigate the travel costs so in terms of financial loss yeah there's probably a loss of about $800.00 pounds but it's not not going to any material difference to the sustainability of the club and you know we're certainly budgeted for it is another way you can double header of fixtures then a potential solution for you to mitigate against those costs that you lost last week and who knows we've got we've got black fish on the 14th of March so we could play there but you know to mitigate cost yes we could you know we were playing in 3 competitions this season we played in the east to tear it cherry red cup couple weeks ago guys talking wondrous reserves this weekend's opposition and you know we said we can side we're not the value in a it's not like Liverpool in the carabao Cup you know which retain the game seriously we're financially hard up with that but we have to make decisions like that but no everything is good effort. Rosie there's lots of positives to talk about the club with not announced that yet but we've got a new gold sponsor of come on board have come aboard for a 4 year deal it's that's a huge huge sponsorship arrangement for us that we're delighted with that again we're selling more sponsorship all the time we've got D.I.'s electrical just sponsored our kit banks our travel bag which is fantastic we really appreciate that we're not only getting so a local attention we're now getting national attention we're only one of 5 clubs in the top 10 divisions of English football of 100 percent when recording so obviously that's a fantastic record speaks for itself does get you national attention and we've even had the call from Sky Sports and Sky Sports going to come over and do a short documentary on the club so everything is really really positive and speaking on the financial side of things I'm surprised new club a new venture for the island as a whole not just the football club itself how have things been financially in the early days because you mentioned there are 4 years sponsorship there which is fantastic you've got some brilliant crowds down in Springfield from the outside looking in it seems as though it's been hugely successful so far but how things been looking how things been financially so far and I things are things are great we have got for revenue streams which I've spoken about before so you've got your sponsorship you've got merchandise you've got gate receipts and you've got fund raising and to be honest all of those sort of areas we've been ticking the boxes of what we need per annum and a lot of things so such as such as sponsorship for example a lot of our biggest sponsors signed up a multiple year deals so you know we won't let any of those contracts run down and you know we've got people knocking on the door to take out because sponsorships now again it's when you're a new business everyone's a little bit sensitive and nervous about it and hands in pockets and yeah we'll be back this but now we're a case where you know we are top of our league we're in the next round of the cups and you know like you said we got good attendance at Springfield's there's a genuine feel good factor in Jersey football right now and that's fantastic So a lot more people are willing to sponsor and do more things so you know where we're very very happy there's always more we can do but it. Again we're all volunteers so last week I was also this week I've been away on holiday last night was quite a late night on the laptop just catching up on emails and things but through time we'd like to employ you know maybe a part time administrator that will take burdens off of committee and our board and therefore we can do more things such as fund raise and raise more more sponsorships and sell more hospitality we're looking to fund raising specifically how do you go about doing that job specific plans in place for that yes a fund raising we kept it very fairly simple start we launched a 1000 club 1000 clubs been fairly well has been very successful we've actually sold more tickets than going c.f.c. And you know we've only just launched but that was used as working capital during the summer last year to to pay for things such as pre-season friendly matches hires a higher pitch is invested in say stock for Kit sales so all that sort of gone well again this further further sort of fund raising we can do we do a match day such as football card which can raise a couple 100 pounds we can do and we will be doing a raffle more details on that will come so there's lots of things we can do but again it's happened the time in the resources to actually implement them shifting focus back to things on the pitch now how recurred just returning to the island after a short stint on the south coast of England a player that can play anywhere across the back 4 really sends a back and right back most recently for the Jersey are inside how much of a Q Will he be yes so he's a great signing great addition to the squad he was at training last night he was given his full Jersey bulls training attire kindly donated by multiple sponsors and no easily looks fairly sharp I know it's exciting he's a good young defend as you say can play across multiple positions it just gives our manager Gary Freeman another selection headache but the great thing is that you know those 5 goalkeepers at training last night everyone is chomping at the bit to get into the Bulls team so it's great for the football club the results the 1st thing you look at when you look at the league table in the start of the Jersey Boys and hard to. Season but you're also playing some very attractive expansive attacking football as well how pleased have you been with the style of football that Gary Freeman and Kevin Nelson of implemented at the club know absolutely the football the guys are playing is is fantastic is very attacking you see our full backs bombing on the front 34 very interchangeable and you know a lot of pace a lot of skill a flair in there by the same token you know the guys in the middle 4 so you defensive midfield is a center half of doing you know extremely well you know stopping attacks coming through so it's very pleasing on the eye we've seen some fantastic matches certainly at home you know I think one of the game gets back shot we put like you know 5 goals Passman 620 minutes or something and that football we played where was was also on the whole how happy of you being with how the football community here in Jersey is embraced the club now absolutely the community has been fantastic again our school days on office are Alan Williams he's going to schools of wanted to hear more about the Bulls he's conducted assemblies so far we've had jammed with in Springfield. And Verne schools in and you know we've got more schools lined up in the future so that community engagement is really important to us because these guys and girls who are a future supporters so the community has been great it terms of like attendances in crowds I don't know what the average is say you know $75800.00 people per game which is which has been great you know it's been talked about the financials but we wanted to put $400.00 attending So you know we're nearly on double what we expected or budgeted for so everything is on track and for being a successful 1st season so far Jersey Boys commercial director in horse while they're discussing the clothes remarkable starts the new season their aims for the rest of the season and their financial position interested me mentioned the postponed fixtures were something the club had budgeted for and he insisted that last weekend's cancelled game against Chessington unhook won't bear any significant implications on the club. Financially a possible solution that's a recruit their losses could be another double header of fixtures over one weekend so we could be seeing another one of those for the club in the not too distant future we did hear from Gunns f.c. Striker earlier on in the program we'll hear from him again very shortly indeed but one man who is a very familiar with football in Jersey is Richard Collins and he joined me in the commentary position today another devastating performance from the Jersey boss today Rich 5 nil when they're now after 13 wins on the trot at the top of the table 10 points clear at the top of the combine counties Division one goal some sort Solomons that I got from her a card also from Fraser Barlow one from Luke Campbell as well a dominant display throughout and I don't think it was really ever in doubt despite those couple of chances that the pacey winger cook Appiah conjured up for the opposition this afternoon but interestingly there in horse Well the club commercial director resisted to say that he thought they would go all the way this season with a 100 percent winning record from myself and your point of your imagine and I'm assuming here that you're on the sort of the same wavelength as myself from the games we've seen so far this season they've been very dominant I think the last game that you went suitor at to provide some reporter for Sports scene across the Channel and on the b.b.c. You saw a one their victory and it was a late goal that stole it for Jersey which is probably the only game really so far as season I've been almost scared into a situation at the end of the game where that they thought maybe maybe maybe not it's do or die in the last 10 or 15 minutes of the game but on the whole generally especially the games you provided for commentaries on Jersey have looked you know head and shoulders above some of the teams with respect to them in this league. Do you think that in horse well saying they doesn't believe will happen is just a tactic to take the pressure off his players or do you genuinely believe that he thinks now that that's that's not doable Well let me say 1st of all congratulations so many congratulations to the team for they run the having at the moment but in particular you know 2 in horse Well Bristol a favor all the people of got behind this because it's become a tremendous sporting success story hasn't it for Jersey really and today we predicted didn't wait that there were going to be a couple more goals halfway through commentary how good was that and finished up 5 mill again what about a bet. They are very dominant This isn't but it's really interesting to listen to what Him saying about the way forward and what interested me probably most in that interview was the fact that I know that Tony Vance and the people at c.f. Say Bain really keen to keep it just for local players coming up to a level and not even talking about a professional or a semi professional side in Guernsey and they're happy to be at their level or because that's where the fail but challenging gansey is able to technique too but interesting to listen to am today saying it's not going to rule semiprofessional or even professional in the future and I think absolutely right because for now unlike Jersey which is 105000 people it could well support a semi professional are professional side most of them in an early much the same reason having a warm up against the nature and they only last fall goes to 3 Didn't they were the goal right at the end of the game and stave in each of their in late 200 yes the near the bottom. Well thinking Iraq watermarks I think that what the market might be at the bottom actually and stave need to just creep in off the bottom but the point is if stave an aging towns like that in England can have a professional football team playing in the league structure in late 2 I certainly think in the future Cheers he's capable of doing that occur a long way to go but we talked about say Wimbledon then we also in commentary and I have say Wimbledon the course came through this combine Counties League when they were reinstated as a club back in the lady and they're in League One I believe so cheers the capable of running a semi professional are professional club and it was interesting to hear him talking about that and I think that is immensely possible but it will probably take 1012 years to do it will I be able to see all pumped right now will share some say there's. Obviously. But. There are no Welsh average I've just checked relates and you're right you're right you corrected me there Stephen just 2nd bottom the reason I thought that more could come off the bottles I was because I did win tonight a bit like noise by goals until but they are bottom on goal difference so that their level points stay vigil more combat saving to 23rd and more confetti for the movie gets busted that rich. Remember only one team in late 20 down because I didn't because Barry of course was correct and so you know it's a real battle for the bottom place in the league is in it just a word of warning I think showed itself today to Jersey bowls and that was Trey cook happy cook pile up higher I mean it was tremendous We picked him out then when commentry he was absolutely superb and his pace really did trouble Jersey and I think the. One problem that jersey might have if the go Lakes is that they haven't got anybody really to match that pace the got some very skillful players that play the ball about really well technically they're very good side but the haven't got anybody with that explosive pace and if the come across players alike cook up pious then they're going to cause problems for them higher up the league when they start to progress or I'm sure that they're the likes of Gary Freeman Jersey Boys aren't naive enough to think that they're all going to players of that caliber as I as I climb through the legs because you say it's good for them to be given a test almost isn't it will apply a lot that has got back sposi of play place and that Flair in that skill to make things happen on the countertop because so far this season especially when it seems that we've seen come to Springfield with a greater respect to them nobody really stood out and Sestak Jersey ever wanted to defend against years he had not really been prepared to go forward now that young man was today and it cost a few problems for 2 years I think you feed to be in playing in a better side and of course they have a senior side that plane National League south have they I mean docking wondrous actually probably one of the newest sides in the whole of football to big plane Jersey because they're only established in 1909 started in the Crawley in District lake and the reserve side who Jersey played today actually joined the combine counties in 2015 but then left following season but then rejoined again last season so it is a new club this docking wondrous and they have gone a long way in the structure in a very short time to get to national league south so no reason why Jersey bowls what well to follow go up in the league standings themselves interestingly last weekend of course was the 1st fixture postponement of the season for Jersey Boys which is. Maybe in a way slightly surprising because horse Well there we heard from of course the the Jersey Boys commercial director he was saying that you know at that level you do get some questionable pictures at times which means that when you're at the mercy of the weather if the rain comes down heavily you can see waterlogged pictures you can see boggy pitches at times are just not pliable so maybe slightly surprising that it's been the 1st cancellation of the season but albeit last weekend it was the only fixture canceled in that particular region in that league which was disappoints him for that from the Jersey Boys point of view but something that came up rarely and I think is part and parcel channel of Sport of course with the the just take on financial cost of going off oil and when you've already paid for that in advance that there is also of course a financial knock on effect Now I spoke to an about and I just said look you know how much of an impact does this have an interest in me here you know he spoke about the slight financial impact they're having So I think he said it ended up setting them back by about 800 pounds roughly but he said it is something of budgeted for and he seemed very relaxed about any seemed as though he believes that there are easy ways around it you know one of the solutions or potential solutions that he mentioned was potentially playing another doubleheader of a weekend like they've already done so far this season when they did so are you on the season they won both games like conceding a single goal so I think it's something that they're relaxed about but it is something starting to into consideration in Cham lot of sports in that you know especially playing at that level as we mentioned the pitches sometimes don't hold up when the weather doesn't play ball you know Guernsey f.c. We've seen today or another prime example of how things can go wrong can go against you due to where we are geographically in guns in Jersey respectively it is an issue I'm sure that both clubs before they even set themselves up would have taken into absolute pure and deep detail interesting one there and it says there won't lose any money but I am in obviously the world because they would have to pay accommodation when they are of course the $2.00 matches in 2 days . But it's interesting really that in all the years also I've been following Jersey rubber club playing at that sort of level I can only remember once in the championship 100 because I've actually had a flight are much cancelled and obviously they have not bothered taking this a soap on that flight and one of the questions I would be asking those are a because next week maybe is have they got anything in place when flights are canceled whereby they are airline but they're using once a fortnight throughout the winter months actually allows them some sort of compensation at least rolls over some of the flight tickets because I think if you're using an aisle airline and they're benefiting from you the whole season every other Wake then there should be some responsibility on the airline to say well we've got an arrangement with the club whereby at least they get half the cost back our tickets provided for the next game well that's something that only the clubs themselves know is in and then. Only they are about the only the clubs know themselves about those those particular relationships but it's something to take into consideration you know with the child laws and speaking of you know mentioning the jersey board potentially moving on to be maybe a professional outfit one day I'll know the horse Also that's not on the horizon and you know it would take a a lot of work and a lot of times of might that happen but he certainly said that sort of a vessel was a was a potential. What's your take on that you know from from your sort of background and experience of child laws football what how do you evaluate that particular opportunity and I'm a possibility do you see the others as favorable from your perspective I mean I know you don't work for Jersey bowls you're not involved with the club directly but you know is that something that you feel would be a good move for the oil and yeah I do and I think it would take a long time to develop but I saw it happen with the rock the club I mean one season as reporters were brought to Joe's Ruby club and we were told that they were going to sign the 1st semi the 1st professionals actually in law to was one of the place of came in at that point and then very quickly developed into a more and more now Castillo to rubber club got 35 full time professionals there are Jersey rubber club and they're coping with a situation of financing that I don't see why it shouldn't happen in football it's a long way ahead I think you've got to go through the semiprofessional stage 1st of all but there's got to be players who the can bring in probably to up to local players from maybe even France or from England or ex players like Brett Pittman and pay them incentive you only in places like that who've got to experience playing on the mainland over many years with clubs who might want to come back and play for g.s. In play on a semi professional basis so I think it's definitely there but I think it's a long long way ahead or plenty of very interesting talking points throughout the season I'm sure from the Jersey Boys point of view as I continue to do fantastically well another winter day 100 percent when record maintained up until this point an absolutely remarkable achievement from their interest to see if they can continue it next week as I've gone Ben bed fonts and felt some of course away from home on Saturday as well as will keep you across their progress in that one. When. We. Say. I mean White House with Valerie. I mean white house of Valerie their own baby. Right a sports saying on a Saturday afternoon with May James Watt loads of talking points Josie bows a 5 no win of a dork. Game postponed due to flight delays earlier on and came as a result of course of a stuff shortage earlier on the day with all raining which meant that the flight had to be pushed back Whitstable talents make the trip over to go and see the time which they would have arrived on the island meant that the guns e. F. C. Contingent decided to call off the game but also will be resettled for a later date or so we think anyway the jersey Reds were beaten earlier on by 42 points so 19 in the Championship have slid down to 6 in the Championship table Newcastle Falcons return to the top of the table off the back of that one but sticking with sports in Guernsey earlier on this afternoon we heard from Guernsey f.c. Striker Ross Allen as he discussed the club's great start of the season ahead of today's game that unfortunately didn't go ahead and unfortunately another topic that we couldn't ignore was the growing list of injuries the club is currently competing with Paris Pereira is now another man sidelined and of course we heard from Tony from Manager Tony Vance I should say last week on well physically is a long time in draft he picked up a dislocated shoulder and j.f. C. Striker Russell has been telling me the target man's absence will affect the team's approach to both much as I'm training obviously we're having to look at other ways of of playing I think you saw in the home Bay game we for actively went to instead of having a sore 3 up with me Carson and well maybe brought it to a 2 with me and Robbie bit more central and I think that's if you know what we were going to be after to look at in training and what we've been sort of doing the last couple weeks is you know how can we adapt still maybe with the midfield 3 might be a case we have to have a total you know every hole of things and you know we've all played enough football games and enough different systems that I think whatever the case is people are good enough to naturally just adapt and go into a formation whether it's of you know for 40 something like this a bit more traditional than the formation we've been playing obviously someone. Has been. In that high role of that midfield 3 he still got 2 game suspension I think he has this is going to be a whoever we've got vailable might help to take the squad and the positions we're going to play but I'm not worried at all by by formations I think you know if it's a to me and or bay that's great he can he can run in behind I can drop a little bit deeper to help get the ball and obviously got someone like policy can do a very good similar job in that number 10 spot say the key things now keeping the you know key 501415 players we've got on point and ready to go because to slot 23 more big injuries of regular players and suddenly what was a really really good competitive group is now bare bones yeah that's the key at the moment spoke about a couple of those injuries obviously some physically you mention power of prayer as well both attacking players that are sidelined How valuable would your experience in the game be now to try and take on the additional workload almost the additional responsibilities that you'll get as a result of those injuries Yeah well the 1st thing you know individually for me my priority is I've got to be available because I've got I've got a go to play and I've got to be extra careful with what I'm doing in the recovery I'm doing and you know might mean just training once a week here and there and just being ready make sure I'm able to plan the game because like I say suddenly from having you know people fighting for places in training who's fit for the game you know he's fresh That's the key we need in a place can't get carried away they can't maybe do too many other commitments outside of Gypsy otherwise that's how injuries are going to happen it's just natural over the winter when it gets cold pitches a soft and tackles a flying in so obviously for me it's important that I'm a leader I've got to be a leader on the pitch and pass on bits of experience of how to you know look after yourself and then you know in terms of matches in games it's really Fred. Seeing what I can do minute to minute and really like affecting play as much as possible with minimum. Expansion of like wasted energy I think it really is really key now that we efficient as a team as a group and we do the right things speaking about gold something that mean you've spoken about a little bit already this season and 1st of all how pleased are you with the total that you're on right now how far off are you from that from the target the moment you're thinking Unicef itself I said this the other an eye on a couple of guys and I think I think well I'm really you know I'm really happy that if I've got 5 goals obviously I think I always think of the ones I've missed the chance to have so yeah I would like it to be a bit higher but then I'm actually very pleased with my contribution with assists and being involved in the the build up of other goals so you know I think I've got I've got a target in mind for God I'm keeping it because of the season I will be I will be honest at the end of season but I don't want to don't want to put any extra extra pressure on myself but then I think if I only score 510 goals and then I'm involved and help the team score 40 you know to me that's that's a positive and that's a success and like I say if it's naturally going to happen some of these other guys are Abangan in 2020 goes a season because that's that's any way the clubs are going to be successful in the future other people stepping up and do the business and with the coaching I'm doing and stuff like that I actually get a lot of enjoyment now by by other people whereas back in the past I would have probably been jealous The other big story but now I'm it delights me when fast makes a great run near post and gets to go and does things that we've been working on and you know that's how it's going to be and yeah and I hope it continues I was going c.f.c. Strike a rock solid that is going the grain lines need to adopt their game as a result of their long list of injuries he was also discussing our. He feels he started the season on a personal note but he resisted to give away his gold tell its argot but any g.s.c. Funds listening in can rest assured that I've agreed with Ross he's got to tell me what exact target was coming into the season so we will expose him as to whether or not these are his racist target or not at the end of this campaign with 5 goals already to his name out of the softer news game that was shared sure but unfortunately did not go ahead I'll be interested to see if we can keep up his impressive goal scoring form was sticking with football now I will run down some of the full time scores from earlier on across the water in the u.k. a Goal to tell you about in the late kick of a victory draw is well Tommy Abraham with a goal on 5 minutes for Chelsea is what the deal Chelsea won in not won what for of course rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table a really miserable start to the new season it's been for them 5 points on the board for them heading into today's game after 11 matches and Chelsea with a lead in the 5th minute through Tommy Abraham who of course spent last season on loan at Aston Villa elsewhere in the Premier League in the early here of born of beat Manchester United by goals and all Josh King with the only goal of the game separating the 2 sides scored right on the stroke of half time to secure the 3 points for the cherries at the Emirates Stadium asked the one held so one or draw against some one was Obama young open the scoring on 21 minutes for Arsenal before roll him in as a Mexican striker equalised on 76 minutes for war Aston Villa were ahead for much of their game Villa Park très ago with his 1st goal for the club on 21 minutes they led the way into the 87th minute when under Robertson equaliser Liverpool in the 94th minute heartbreak for Villa fans at Villa Park on a sealed the windfall of pool with a $21.00 win for them so they remain at the top of the Premier League table still the only points that they have dropped were the 11 draw at Old Trafford last weekend or couple weekends ago I should say so there are 31 points now at the top of the Premier League. Table month city in 2nd place on $25.00 points Chelsea as things stand if things stay the way they are one the little y what for they will go on to $23.00 points in the 3rd place and less will drop to 4 than 20 points Arsenal 5th with 17 points Sheffield united up to 6 now and 16 points after their 3 nil win over Burnley at Bramall Lane Bournemouth 7th on 16 Brighton 8th place on 15 points Crystal Palace in 9th place on 15 points while the relegation zone what for at the moment as things stand if they stay the way they are 10 down against Chelsea they will stay bottom of the table on 5 points knowledge 19th with 7 points silence an 18th with 8 points Everton and Villa just above the relegation zone Everton on 10 points better on 11 Newcastle than on 12th along with Burnley and Tottenham as well West Ham and 12th on 13 wolves also on 1311th and among just united mid table in 10th place with 13 points as well in the English Premier League in the Scottish Premiership today Aberdeen built by 3 goals to nil Hamilton finish to 2 with Ross County and Motherwell but Livingston by 2 goals to one in the Scottish League Cup semifinal Hibs a one nil down to Celtic the moments in the Championship in England Wigan Athletic were beaten by to go swimming at Swansea City in the early kick off today Blackburn Rovers beat Sheffield Wednesday but 2 goals to one the 3 o'clock kick off Branford were beaten at home by a goal to nil against Huddersfield Town Cardiff City beat blues Birmingham by 4 goals to 2 Darby 2 no winners against 10 month Middlesborough Pride Park full of nil whole city 3 a final score from Craven Cottage Legionnaires it was a tuna when of a Queens Park Rangers at Elland Road Luton Sauerbraten to want homes in Nottingham Forest and reading but Millwall by 2 goals to one in League One a.f.c. Win with a one all draw him to Lincoln City Blackpool be paid for by 4 goals to 3 in a 7 goal thriller at Bloomfield Road Bolton Wanderers with another win on the board things looking up for the Trotters. In recent times a $21.00 win for them over Fleetwood sounded like commentary city held to a goal is draw at the Ricoh Arena against Akron Stanley Doncaster Rovers $22.00 draw with Burton Albin a keep most stadium as well joining him were beaten by 3 goals to nil at home to rather remain odd to the Millers with a devastating performance away from home against the jail's today and Kay Dons beaten by 3 goals to want home to Tranmere Rovers Pompey drew 11 with Oxford United rocks they were beaten so want home by Bristol Rovers Sunderland beat South on south end you know as I should say at the Stadium of Light by goal to nil and Wycombe Wanderers but Shrewsbury Town by a goal to as well down to the English league to finally Bradford City beat takes a city by 2 goals to nil Cambridge and I sit with 21 winners against Crawley Town Car United also with a $21.00 win against Michael Steel Town Charlton Sauerbraten 2 want home against forest green Rovers. Nil Port Vale one a final score the league leaders losing at home to port bow today months failed sound 2 cultures United 3 Morcombe one light Nori and nail Newport County one solver City to. Northampton Town to Scunthorpe United Milstein original and Swindon Town to Warsaw in oil of course Plymouth Argyle game against Grimsby Town was postponed due to inclement weather we shift our focus back to football in Jersey next after the news emerged this week that local referees will now be able to officiate Jersey balls games as was the case today of course. Says James will be seen radio Jersey. Well it was a fantastic result for the jersey balls this afternoon winning by 5 goals the nil and the news emerged in mid week that local referees will now be able to referee on officiate the jersey Bulls games in the combined counties Division One the news came following an agreement between the jersey f.a. And the f.a. And I've been catching up with Jersey based referee David Bronson he's been telling me he was delighted by the. Announcements So I think it's great use is only aimed at the level 4 eyes just now so it's the more experienced referees that can do it but it's great because it gives a pathway for all referees in Jersey 12 something to aspire to and work towards and it gives us something new to referee new games for us so it's you know we get to do England see we get to do less than the $23.00 Northern Ireland on the 20 one's again those are really great experiences for us but this is this is regular league football the slot the high standard what we get to do normally so it's brilliant for us you spoke about a pathway there a very key word within sport development referees as well how much progression come this realistically lead to for local referees so we got a new referee Development Center 6 new young referees entering that this gives them something to aim for so you know it's we've got your referees like how do you walk a marquee player who can actually go from Level 7 when they 1st become qualified referees as adults right the way through to level 4 they can we do in games quite a lot of without having to move to the u.k. We're trying to get much more a games like they so we've been talking to the combine Counties League for a while we're going to do a form of exchange with them so maybe a more experienced referee from Jersey can go across the u.k. With a couple of it younger assistance what a great opportunity for them we get the occasional f.a. Appointment so it could be f.a. Cup f.a. Vase f.a. Trophy for a referee and a young assistant to go across and we're talking to Guernsey f.a. About having it in exchange as well so we're really trying to make it quite an exciting time for referees in Jersey to have that you know really want to get promoted because I can see better games at the end of it make it worthwhile doing there's a lot of sense they give you a unique selling point as well so it's a young referees who are looking to get involved officiating Yes So we've got to in February we've got a new referees basic course we're holding what better chance to say couldn't come in become a referee and look at who could end up refereeing you know Jersey bulls who set up to try and give. The better players on the island a better standard of football and referees we want to be the same we want to be the best referees we can and really get to do that by refereeing better games it's a great opportunity for everybody to get involved and really push themselves and spoke about refereeing better games over Jersey Boys of the moment are top of that combined counties Division one but on a weight by weight biases in that particular league at the moment how do you expect refereeing and not later compared to what used to in the combination you know it's a really good question so in Jersey when I see part of the national league structure but one official I believe about Step 7 the bulls are playing it Step 6 games you're probably playing at step 4 where I come from in the u.k. In Leicestershire I was doing Leicestershire Senior League which was probably 6 East Midlands counties was probably 5 so most level 4 referees were around the norm and I sitting just now would be doing this level of game week in week out so it's great that we get the chance to do the same I'm speaking of developmental pathways as well on a personal note how can this benefit your game as referee How can this step moving into refereeing Jersey boardgames help user develop and move on to the next step so to speak yes oh so for me it's about being able to referee different plays so you go to the style to different players they don't know you you don't know them when you're refereeing the same teams frequently here we do have familiarity it's a great chance for everybody to see the game maybe try different styles that you wouldn't normally get to do is just a great opportunities freshen everything up for everybody were spoken about the positives and there are a lot of positives there's a slight dry area maybe in the obviously local referees refereeing local players in a place that is geographically a long way away from England where the rest of the games take place with up put yourself and some of the other officials under closer scrutiny do you think when you officiate Josie balls games absolutely no not living in Leicestershire lost previously every week are afraid lest it should seem league games there's no accusations then that. Because because I lived in the same county it was counties games were Leicestershire Nottinghamshire Darwish or Lincolnshire quite often it would be a Leicestershire team and have the referee in it so I don't see any problem there at all when you're refereeing you know looking to see who the personalities are. And a number on the back that's what we're really dealing with not not local personalities and if you look at the combined Counties League as well at the moment surely they're sending over referees and surely there's a cost involved for them and for the author of this to send his referees over all this be a win win in some respects in though it provides local referees with a chance to referee higher level but also it's a cost effective method of stuffing games for the combine counties where as well yeah I'm sure the jersey bulls ability to be able to match free to a local referee rather than he's flight maybe a hotel is travel expenses so yeah I mean we still going to have 2 officials coming over to to be assistance for these games there and in I do in so they still people from the u.k. Get an opportunity to come across the Jersey which was important for the combine counties but yeah it's got to be a cost saving for the jersey bulls because you know it's not the same level of cost when you've got family living locally so yeah I think it's a win win all way around Jersey based referee David Bronson there discussing the news that local refs and linesman will now be allowed to officiate Josie ball as much is it represents an opportunity for local officials to potentially try their hand at a higher level on a regular basis Well that's all we've got time voice wait for sports team join us next we have got a big weekend the rugby the jersey Reds welcome Nottingham some pizza wow for live much commentary on that one from Tim Pryor Richard Collins and on the go and the right is also welcome tring to the island so we'll have live reports I'm coverage of their game as they bid to keep the pressure on the top 2 of Rochford 101 and join us next week on Saturday from 2 o'clock on sports scene with myself James White. In the 88.80 am and then d.c. Sounds a. Line in the station. This is b.b.c. Radio Jersey. B.b.c. News at 6 o'clock this is Mark Edwards South Africa are celebrating victory over England in the Rugby Union World Cup final in Japan they won 3212 is the 3rd time the Springboks have won the tournament and the 1st world title led by a black Test captain Chesley in Colby's scored South Africa's 2nd decisive try and set the win was important for his country remove what is at stake. A lot of things going on back as all Africa really represented not just as players but it isn't that so after period it is in a nation and resigned amid everybody a woman in her sixty's has died in Dorset after a tree fell on her car and strong winds she was driving near ver worried when the accident happened this morning gusts of more than 80 miles an hour have been battering the south west of England causing travel destruction cross-channel ferry services have also been delayed opposition parties are calling on the government to make its ban on fracking in England permanent shale gas extraction has been suspended indefinitely because of concerns about earthquakes but ministers have said the industry can resume if proven safe and fracking campaigners near-sighted press new road in Lancashire Welcome to the ban is good news obviously it's very good news that is all from the tree not particular here as well you know where people put up this path 3 years now based on all that money pumped in all that effort and they produce next to nothing and I think a lot of common sense is possible we've had a long long battle the 5 long running. Very significant I think it's.
