We're to with some decent spells of autumn sunshine all that's good Geoffrey we are talking I was hoping for a more wintry forecast to help me into this next segment or just a frosty is going to take that Christmas songs we tried to get our listeners engaged with Black Friday they were having no none of it but they're more engaged with the prospect of us playing a Christmas song at the end of the program albeit the last Friday in November mixed bag fair to say the front runner at the moment I'm told by the elves behind the screen is stop the Calvary by Joe Joe Louis but there's that there's another one to that that's making making waves and it begins by humbug. What do you stand on the Christmas songs I guess Ok it is to say however if you were going to do a Christmas song this early on I would go it's kind of not in the traditional Christmas canon but I would maybe go with something like Joni Mitchell River which has a little lines is coming on Christmas the cutting down trees the putting out run just an absolute joy in these now it's beautiful it's gorgeous and it's just that kind of it's that sense of Christmas being on the way so I think that would be more appropriate for this moment and what Jeff very very much thought I considered prospects there Jeff Moscow thank you yeah but they do let us know and let us know what do you want us to play what all do you want us to play Christmas wrapping by the waitresses where we set up at their own place stop a car at the end of the program Texas it one double 71 Facebook Twitter to get in touch and let us know if it's too early or you'd love to hear 18 minutes passed a good morning this is the by Chris show the embryo awards Irish local news program of the year on b.b.c. Radio 4 a now the Western trust has apologized to families of residents in it one more who've had a bad experience at the nursing home in Derry well until last week the facility remained under enforced. And after the health regulator the raised safety concerns in May an investigation find patients missing medicines nurses not following procedures and an adequate record keeping then in an unprecedented move the r Q a obtained a court order in August to stop new admissions after it emerged the Western trust was still referring patients to the home Dr Paul Braun has been speaking to our reporter to resist Reich they worked very hard themselves I got to know the staff working he worked no one more got to work with the management team on a number of occasions and they have worked hard from a way to ensure that they achieve the standards expected of them our own team within the trust as you know supported throughout those months and all of their areas that have been part of an improvement plan they have met very steady progress . As you say to the point now where the regulator or contempt that the chief full compliance so the trust really has a lot out there is to get all more up to an acceptable standard of care is that fair to say yes it is. My team has played a really important role here from really the day that the compliance notice went and and the players and May. I'm very grateful to them across nursing social work on the allied health professions for the support that they have given. It has been initially on a day to day basis then we have been able to reduce that in the later months and now we continue to undertake monitoring visits of the improvement plan on 4 occasions per week but it has it has been. A really important commitment and one that they have the lever. With. Great great diligence and I think so many families I think will be so pleased with the work that's gone into it and and the commitment from on more and the tranced the last time we spoke you sat there around 520 staff at any one time going and to learn more to try and make sure it was up to acceptable standards of care is not only usual as has the Western trust had to do before well I did say up to 20 stuff you're quite right and in in May and June particularly we would have had more staff supporting the home advise ing on trimming and working with staff members and coaching and mentoring capacity and the how to do that with any other or not to that level we there are often across rates in homes that. Have to comply notices in place and I think all the trusts in the region as it's part of our responsibility to oversee the quality of care that we commission so I can't speak for any organization but this is probably been the biggest level of support that we have provided in any home in the Western trust and certainly in my time in the trust much with that cost I don't think I can put a figure on up but if you. And if you take for example that in the early weeks there would have been between 10 and 20 staff members actively in a night but not continuously in or in more. Undertaking important work but when they would have been doing all the things had they not been there that that is a significant resource in another area so are we talking about tens of thousands or hundreds or even if you can't give me a favor I Can't Give You can't give you a figure but it will be a considerable amount because all of those people provide great expertise and. There are rules every day in another place and so if their own supporting occur home important as it is it means that something else has to whip hazard a guess tens of thousands certainly closer to tens of thousands and the higher number I think it's fair to acknowledge Dr Brown in the in mind of work that he personally and that will stop of don't to get more where needs to be to reassure people but you also the pirate issue performance notices Did you ever consider that we haven't issued any penalties to the management of on more on the security asking why not why well we undertake reviews of every contract. That has a process that's familiar to all to all organizations a commission care from the independent sector and we continued to meet regularly with or more but we decided that it would not have been beneficial to for example put a financial penalty in place at this time I ask that because the state and he'll know one more there are private company they exist to make a profit so surely a financial hit might have worked as an encouragement to make sure that standard of care is where it really should be to protect those vulnerable residents and I take into consideration what you've said before well I repeat that for us it was a decision that we took on on on on a judgment that it wouldn't have been appropriate to put a financial pound in place and one of the reasons for that is that one of the most crucial elements of the improvement plan involved ensuring that all more had the right number the right skill set and mix of staff working with then the various units in the facility and we needed to ensure that their staffing improvement work or was one that. Developed quickly a factor. Sustainable and I'm pleased to say that that is the kiss not Dr Baring once again very good news that the home is where we find it on switches new patients are being rehabbed minute and I just ask you though taken you back and I know we don't want to focus on the past but taking you back there are families you won't answer is about what happened to their loved ones for years on from the initial complaints by some family what would you say to them I very much regret would like to say sorry to families who continue to. Relate to bad experience of the last 4 years since all more opened in 25 teams that you would apologize to absolutely I will apologize because we as commissioners of the service for older people do not want any family to have a bad experience or to have courage that they have described as of not being c.f. For a fact of I continued to meet with families. Over over several years and we will continue to listen work in partnership with the management of all more . And all or interested agencies to ensure that those families are full of us and to appropriate actions can continue to be taken and that I trust and over time we will resolve the concerns that they continued Hudler birth I can't speak for the families I'm sure they'll appreciate that apology but only on surface is a timely for an investigation is not the way to get to the core of what happened here would you support an investigation it's not for me to comment on an investigation that is not something that the trust would have a responsibility to commission but what I can certainly say is that we have on are taken our own trust investigation to really assess where things went wrong initially and what learning we as an organization and the other agencies who we work with can take away from the last 6 months turn form all of the work we do going forward I wanted to learn from not investigation. We have learned that the responsiveness of the trust in terms of hard our social work and her management staff work is really crucial to to have an appreciation of on and on the standing of the oversight of that work on on really a day to day basis and where there has been continues to be very firm arrangements for her permanent years as key workers work with families and listen to experience . And we have learned that it's more important than ever given concerns that happen in many care homes unfortunately across the region and not nationally but they experience of families and the experience of her managers and indeed all staff need to have a continuous communication back and to our governance process within the organization and also working with for example the r.k. Are more closely than ever who undertake their their own regular inspection regime so it's it's really a bike ensuring that we that our governance is is as strong as possible going forward the Western trust admitted dozens of adults with learning difficulties I think that was over the summer major of this year when the Archy I said that all more was failing why did that happen. In in the in the period and it was actually. Early August or early. A significant number of families had plans for summer vacations and we who were continually assessing the quality of care and or more and clearing the short brick unit were satisfied that that unit itself had met had made significant improvements and on the balance and listening to many families we felt it was appropriate to reopen the short brick unit archaea then under took an inspection quite so. Up to that. Issue there closure notice but we stand over that decision because we know that that unit was providing good quality Kerr and it was a. Decision we took in support of family requests as well they are you know I went so far as tech Corps action to close unit dying when they were on today that they weren't wrong because the regulator came to conclusion based on the facts that they have on the record did a responsible these they have and we just I'm with them we continue to meet with them regularly and the decision was made on the basis of the evidence in front of them still but you understand the contradiction don't well well. At confusing it's confusing for perhaps the public but from our perspective the decision to reopen the short Brix unit was something that we discussed with r.k. The advance of Kim after that and terms of follow up inspection by the regulator. Determined that their next course of action and that was for the whole home rather than just a short break you know Ok so how will you be investigating any of the allegations that are made by families with concerns over how their loved ones were treated we have recently hared a boyish one father he set his daughter in her thirty's missed her diabetes medication not once but twice and he said that that was a threat to her life will you be investigating the we continue to work with a number of families to investigate the concerns that they have raised over a period of time and I say committed to a short time ago and we would hope to conclude all of those to the satisfaction of those individual families. Who talk to Paul Brian from the Western child speaking to our reporter trees that Craig NY we have a statement issued on they have all of the management. And more it is quite lengthy Do bear with us but we did ask specific questions and they did provide the answers to that the statement says 0 one more nursing care center has consistently expressed its sincere regret over the distress and concern calls to any resident for their family impacted by our failure to meet fill compliance with the regulations and have publicly and privately apologize to those affected the statement goes on to say we are truly sorry for the time it has taken to reinstate our compliance standards but also says we wish to acknowledge the support provided by the Western trust since August the trust has provided on site additional monitoring visits and support has also provided staff training in certain areas and while trust staff were never at any stage involved in direct provision or care of care or strict strategic management decisions and or more their expertise has proved to be an invaluable support the statement also says that one more has employed an external team of experts to review all aspects of care and governance making significant investment which is ongoing the funding for individual is a matter for their families and in many cases the trust nursing and rest by care fees for all homes statement sales are designed in line with the service delivered and are set regionally by the Health and Social Care board in conjunction with the providers and the statement concludes that or more management and staff are continuing to engage with those families who feel their concerns have not been satisfactorily resolved working with the r.t.i. The trust every find that there is and tractable problem than the model can be referred to the Ombudsman and we will endeavor to do our best and would appeal to anyone who has not yet engaged with us to come forward so now let's get reaction to the news that when more is not allowed to take in residence for new admissions again after the watchdog said the nursing home complies with the regulations 18 Hannah is from and I patients voice Good morning it in good morning to you we've been speaking to you through each our coverage of this story your reaction to what Mr Brown had to say. Well 1st of all we would. Strongly welcome the apology from Paul Brian. There are active older people who in the Western trust the interview that he did with trays of Craig as actually president of Northern Ireland we know of no other cases involving nursing home scoundrels or crisis were a member of the trust was actually on the radio or on the media being so open and transparent about what went wrong so it actually has to be applauded for the on the western trust Are you reassured by his comments and ultimately that the standards will improve. Where personally not an organization or not and has a voice where the that we are not assured we don't have much confidence or call in this nursing home. Going forward this company that provides the if and quality car there's been too much as one wrong in this nursing home going back to 2015 but possibly in 4567 years if there's a. Period of quality good c.f. Card we may reconsider the position do you think it would take that long would Moore has said that it's employed an external team of experts to review all aspects of care in governance making a significant investment which is ongoing Well if if if we have a look in 4 or 5 years and our specs and they have been providing quality c.f. Card for that length of period of time well then leave agree to set our position that we have enough confidence in this company to provide c. One quality car what do you think all of taxpayers' money going to be a for profit company to bring them up to the standard of care they should be at we don't know the exact figure but tens of thousands. Of the straightest given nurses are on strike at the moment the trying to get them somewhat of a pay rise it's a disgrace. Such resources have to be put in their private company he of signed a contract to provide c.f.o. a Quality car on the field for almost 6 or possibly over 6 months that that's at the screen I would hope that the Western trust of already build the company for the money to be refulgent back into the western trusts most much needed resources. And more management and staff are continuing to engage with families who feel that perhaps their concerns have not be satisfactorily resolved in their working with the Argue the trials how do you think the families will be hearing we will be feeling this morning after hearing Dr Paul Brians interview Well I think I know all the families that are raising the serious concerns that have been reasons concerns over the 4 years and I know all of them will welcome the apology from Paul Bryan this morning to. Radio 4 blocked. Apology is not enough and has to be action here the need you know this the case and the truth to what went wrong and how high it went wrong needs to be established we the families that we are supporting then their complaints process and when the reason concerns don't think the Western trust or best place to do that the families of told me the effect of the would be the Western trust and fast to get themselves on the sea and people who they believe have made the mistakes over the last 3 or 4 years the families are strongly calling for the ark to carry this forward Well Dr Brian did say that it has a degree that it's not for him to comment on whether there should be an investigation they have launched their own internal investigation in that what went wrong and what lessons can be learned but are you calling on the ark you to launch an investigation yes we would call. A large family group x. Members of staff are calling for the r.t.i. a R.k. Of the partners and their order. To carry out an investigation and to the Western trust by the Western trust was high on the list multiple bills who have partners to review the current provide a little more since it opened up at stores they did it for cherry tree and 2013 of the report was released in 2014 and he lent the commissioner for older people did a report into tomorrow's monitor which was released last year we agree with Eddie Lenz that possibly may not benefit him to do another investigation in the or more where he would just be repeating and past the reckon with the same recommendations or and over again so what the families really need right as an investigation to find the sock what went wrong and how it went wrong and we believe the archaea have got the Pars to to do the right Nayana point on them and the panda puddled to do that on their behalf Nama from and I patient's voice thank you time night 20 it's just what you know and. Breaking news that the witnesses Christmas wrapping has just overtaken stop the coverage and in our poll to see what Christmas songs should be playing that we've got the one we played many I don't even. Like this morning but there's still time to stop all this nonsense through text as it were and double 71 of you don't want one if you do want one let us know which one of as well we'll see what we can. Let's get some travel with Leon I don't want a Christmas song you know wasn't your vibe a lie back on this time rhyme but anyway yes I'm staying out of it this time we've had a text to say the traffic lights aren't working on the bank around the road at junction with a call to just be prepared for some disruption there that it 25 be arrival from scythe mentioned earlier it was delayed until 10 past and it's not expected earlier than not it is expected here on and $915.00 just be aware that salting took place across Northern Ireland overnight the advice as always though is to take it easy on the untreated wrote. Thank you very much that's going to look at the papers my former school principal Mary McCloskey is here to morning good morning I suppose the most obvious thing in all the papers today is Black Friday there's odds and ads and ads and I really love the but there were tales are offering a special break. They have written peace treaty is being opened today which will be lovely for the subway and there's a full page in the newsletter on ritual corner taking over the role of Snow White in the millennium for him think it's 6 years since she's time she start a Sunday and grace and since then she's been all over the word wherever Don started in the voice didn't she's today and a centrist thing her brother Nael was very much in the news last week because he was carrying for Rory McILROY in Dubai talented a very talented family. Tonight or Tito for the toy show they gave a tribute to gay bar in the middle of it and the theme tonight as for but what I hadn't realized before all the toys from the toy she will go to children's charities. Which is absolutely brilliant if you have 1250000 to spare the West Philly family was built for street workers and there's a row of 16 terraced houses and you can buy them all for 1250000 bargain you hardly get a house for that in Dublin one last very quite well 80 if you're turning to the screen after 30 am known years I can't believe it's 37 years he is coming back and meeting yet his friend who still played by Henry Thomas says as an actor yes I want to sequel I just thought they were only really said just a short t.v. Out but they've the same cast from it and he comes back but I just can't believe that it's 37 years so Thomas Henry Thomas played the part of it and he was to say so I hope it appears on our sky t.v. And not just me and Canada but I'm hoping that we see it over here to a rally with the chairs all up thank you very much Mary as the company now on the in a cloud has been healed as in a storage 1st Irish government minister has met the family of Casa dogma in sprawl he believes he was the victim of collusion between the Ira and Guardian shortly and sport the Irish Open is returning to port sure it will have some reaction to the opera 1st let's go to some of the news with Jerry the Western health transfers apologize to anyone who's had a bad experience at the one more care home in Derry it was closed to new admissions for Ryan 6 months after critical inspections by the health regulator but it's not allowed to take in residence again after the watch trucks had a complied with regulations Dr Bob Braun is the director of older people services at the trust's I very much regret would like to say sorry to families who continue to. Relate to bad experience of the last 4 years since on more opened in 2015 we as commissioners of the service for older people do not want any family to have a bad experience or to have care that they have described as of not being safe or effective and a step on the home said it was truly. Sorry for the time it had taken to reinstate its compliance standards but Aiden Honna from end I patients forced told this program that it had a lot to do you to rebuild trust as an organization or not and his voice we're not we're not assured we don't have much confidence or call in this nursing home. Going forward this could lead to provide quality care there's been too much as one role in this nursing home going back to Spain possibly in 4567 years if there's a. Period of quality could see it occur we may reconsider position and other news and Irish government minister has met the family of a country Truman who was murdered by the ira almost 30 years ago to discuss claims that members of the guard colluded with his killers in Sproule was 23 when he was shot and on site his home in council Derek in 1901 his family met the Thomas to summon Cove me in Dublin yesterday finally 6 institutions including religious orders have been contacted by the head of the civil service about compensation for victims often Story Club use in a letter David staring said the old had an obligation to contribute to the payments which are being overseen by the newly formed redress board the victim's campaigner Joe McCourt said the old had a Judy to pay up. It looks like the answer asked. The contrary. I think. That they were obliged. To contemplate the. Court thank you very much today's weather cold and frosty start will be mainly fine with some sunny spells in the old bank of Clyde will feel quite cold again though with a top temperature of around 7 degrees a quite is back with the summer of the sports Good morning again goal say wish open will return to Northern Ireland in 2021 when Portstewart host the event for the 2nd time in 4 years spans John round one there and 2017 the news was announced a porch to a.g.m. Last night club members told that an agreement was finalized last week while Morin Madell is an honor a life member a portière Golf Club Good morning this morning so what do you make of this new Christmas present for the club members Oh well I think so I'm delighted and it was very well hosted by the club a couple of years ago and you know with all the great golf that's been going on in Ireland of the spotlight on the great links courses that we have that just helps keep this momentum going what's so special about Portstewart Well you know you're asking a very biased person who grew up 10 minutes less than 10 minutes away from the 1st day. Well it's it's a great course it's a great test it can be set up in the manner that it tests even the best players in the world it's extremely scenic you get a welcome like no where else I mean do you really want me to go on Well I think I think we'll know I spectacular as Ok and this part of the word but take us back to 2017 more and how successful was it and the fact that it was held there so recently well probably mean minimal work required next time around well I think as well you know I have every time you host something you learn what has worked very well and what maybe could be improved upon so that the blueprint that everybody worked to will be very fresh in their minds and the. European Tour are tremendous people to work with and the club will be working very closely with them in hosting this and so I think that it will be a few tweaks probably not to the course the course as it was beautifully presented by the green keeping staff even though we didn't have to think whether the last day was very very wet but it didn't dampen the spirits and there were still huge crowds so it's going to be a very very busy time for everybody if you think this is all part of a big shed jewel in plan to. Tie in with the open coming back to port rush pretty soon well the shadow is different next year but it's present pretty much based around the Olympics the Irish Open is slipped from its July date a couple of weeks ahead of the open to this is now I did end of May It's slap bang in between 2 of the American majors the p.g.a. And the us open because that really gets congested in July next year with the open with the Olympics as well so I think this isn't a bad date for the Irish Open there were some who were a few a bit disappointed they felt it was an inferior date but I actually don't see it like that it's not going to be subsumed by world of championships majors or the Olympics is going to stand more in the song 2 feet rather than being just crowded in and the whole line of huge big tournaments and Graeme McDowell surely an ideal count is it to take on the role as tournament host Yes I mean I think he loves it and you know I think Portstewart was set up very well for Graeme in the type of game the t plays so it's very hard to be host and contend but it's been done before and I think at the right up Graeme St and you promises better weather this time around and also always here the sun's always said there's nothing like bad weather it's just wrong clothing morning Miguel thank you very much for joining us on the program this morning Niagra there for more in there reacting to the news that port sure golf club will host the Irish Open and. 2021 now the pressure on. Us has side lost to Frankfurt at the Emirates and the Europa League last night they go missing the chance to progress to the stage as they will need a draw perhaps from their final game Celtic top their group with a win over ran Rangers. But a defeat against young boys in their final game will see them through Manchester United already qualified to the knockout stages failed as a team of youngsters and lost who want to Will's drew with Brad get to progress. By Premiership leaders Cole re-enter the visitors to the Ryan McBride brandy will Stadium tomorrow to face institute in a 1 o'clock start Stuart striker Joe McCready Well he's been the subject of speculation attracted attention from other clubs but manager Sean Connor says he's doing all he can to improve a squad of some because it offers joy credible data there's not a lot we can do about it what I can assure our fines and I will try to keep every player that I think is going to be needed to take this football club to where we want to go and the fans can be reassured that we're having a look at 3 or 4 players over the next 2 weeks or even tonight. We've had discussions with as many players on the football and on the goal champions of Conall will go in search of their 1st ever Ulster club title on Sunday when they take on champions Here's the few from the glam peace camp their coach Michael McLaughlin. Just. Bought. For. Kraft all over the pitch. On his 100th cap tonight in the pro 14 Scarlets and Belfast coverage of that much from half past 7 100 All-Star and video for us and rugby said if Dario are away to Bangor an all Ireland League to say tomorrow Mark is through to meet Welshman Jack Jones and Ryan 2 of the u.k. Snooker Championship he beat Jimmy White 6 frames to 3 last night and Belfast Boxer Col from Dunn says he would like to cement his place in history by eventually becoming a 3 with World Champion after a 12 month layoff he takes on Tyler McCreary in Last Vegas tomorrow night Eric thank you what's been described as an historic 1st an Irish government minister has met with the family of a victim of alleged Garda Ira collusion John Sproles brother in was 24 when he was killed I cite as family home Council Durgan 1991 well John was not available to talk to us this morning but the Dianne dogs who accompany them to yesterday's meeting in Dublin is with us Good morning Thomas dogs good morning for those who may not be familiar with story what were the circumstances arise as murder. Well 1st of all I want to pay tribute to John Sproles for the dog way that he has pursued justice for his brother am and was murdered an April 1905 there are a tape it was a young man identified as work but had been like that night at a breast a party with friends and returned home. To his own home yard. To. Spend the night at home he. Was Gone dine as a arrived in their own yard. And as. Ira left they phoned into the farm heist to say to his mother and father to go why didn't the Arden say the Master had left when the mother went by the father and I find a. Covered and blood was over 40 but spread and. He had died instantly so absolutely atrocious death. John also reflect that it actually had such an impact on those mother that she never left the high seas after his brother's death. Where the family are very the family are very concerned why the family suspect Garda collusion you know the family are very concerned about the issue of Garda collusion because a few weeks after the death such as the condemnation and the area that the family are the irate released to journalists in London there a. Garda intelligence sheet that had been leaked to them and one of them was on parole they want to know why these intelligence and internal documents of the Garda and on the call ended up in the hands of the Ira and enabling them to target and kill him sprawl and it's a fundamental question that the Irish government actually has to ask I have been actually writing to the Irish government on this case since Enda Kenny was the to shock in 24 take we have been blank blank blank says the from out of victims organization have taken up the case with the Garda Ombudsman and ask them and formally filed in all the documentation to ask them to open an investigation into alleged Garda collusion in the murder of inseparable. Years ago that still has not had a response from the ombudsman softest as to whether they will or will not investigate the case so that was just why this meeting with Simon called me a is historic just why significant was the meeting and why do you think about Maher It is important that the Irish government takes responsibility for a role I'm doing of its own staff forces which would have led to the death of people in Northern Ireland and actually in April there is just the tip of an iceberg of other people whose death are strong basis by. That to be the result of information being leaked from the Garda to the Ira and those staff like families on both sides of the border so the Irish government is not pursuing an inquiry independent inquiry into this issue will be letting people not just in Northern Ireland but their own citizens every state has uncomfortable Tories and also there is no Di various reports the contrary contrary report the Marist report even raised that the Smith a tribe in a recognised that rule Guard officers support and distress they were rogue The vast overwhelming bulk of people were law abiding item n.t.n. Law and order but role Guard officers supplied information which would have led to the death of innocent people and therefore we had some Porton to meet Simon calls me it's important that he hears the sprawl story that he realised will be for Somalis or the court across the difficulty for the person was knows maybe that while your party has often the opposed investigations and to stay a collision from the British the it's this may look like one rule for one on a different one for another well you know the one thing that always sort of annoys and challenges you know some and they do ordinary law abiding citizens it's not particular to any community at all really is the fact that we have ministers from Dublin who come up to Northern Ireland to demand and the best occasions to demand certain things around individuals and in Northern Ireland but he then did not respond when the c.m. If asked if they have I don't want to tempt one victim against another that's not what I'm here to do that's not important to me and it is a. Porton that and sprawls family learns the truth of what happened to their brother it is important that the Irish they it recognizes that in this awful situation and this awful terrorist campaign and there were people who did not behave as uprightly within their forces as they might have done and that they instigate an independent inquiry into that so the papal kind of confidence about the truth of their loved one Simon called me said we had a good honest discussion on issues around Frost legacy and how the Irish government needs to be listening to the Unionist community in Northern Ireland on issues to do with legacy violence in the past he says the other implying maybe that this could be could feed into a wider discussion around legacy work where would you stand on both sides of the border sure Simon would really love to widen the site to miss the point of all of this my meeting yesterday was on a very specific issue and a matter of how I brought the Irish government bonds to drag it I just order right there is a very specific issue and there's a very specific allegation for them to answer that we've had no joy was actually the guard on the summons saying whether or not they will investigate this particular case remember all of these cases have loved ones there are years of pain and frustration in all of these cases and that is evident with John's probably Aster day and probably why you and they speak today so we must never ever forget pain and suffering of those left behind and the Irish state the Irish government Fenech you actually owe a duty to people in Northern Ireland and indeed to some of their own citizens who believe that their loved ones us while were set up by rogue officers and we need to have that public inquiry. Ok I appreciate your time this morning. Thanks for speaking to us but is it time now to 847 let's get a quick weather update with Jeff Maskell morning again Jeff good morning a weather turning colder through the next few days with high pressure in charge though it does mean it's largely try and actually what I'm seeing little bit of autumn sunshine too doesn't make much improvement in the temperatures I'm afraid top temperatures today just 5 or 6 Celsius and frosty night in prospect but as we go through the weekend it is staying largely dry and quite bright to you but without the breeze that kicks in on Saturday it is going to feel even colder but it's a big day wrap up get to make the most of it because at least it's going to be dry and that sunshine will do a world of good yet you have seen as you've brought us some good news about sunshine we have a little surprise for you. Their finances you know so this was 7 years and to the fact after the Ryan Report that the gold was to looking for contributions from the east from these organizations that's needs to be done on a firm legal food and to ensure that a contribution on a worthwhile contribution is made by the organization that David Stern of. Are you reassured in a way by the action taken by David starting given you know we followed this journey with you given how long it's taken to get to this point yeah I mean David Stern has done amazing work and again he's delivered on everything that he promised us that he would go and out you know we mean he can write he can ask as well these institutions are to say they're going to comply and at this point my death will be as there's no there's no measure and force to ensure that they do legally comply with making a contribution to redress fund Ok John McCord thank you for giving us your reaction to this latest update we will of course follow the next stage all of this journey with you Joe McCourt there chairman of victims and survivors Northwest thank you Knight children across the u.k.
