In continues a P.S. And I spokesperson said due to the sensitive nature of this on the wider criminal investigation into Michael Moore they would not be able to comment further in a separate development the Department of Health says that there is to be an independent review of leadership and governance up McMorrow be Hospital Northern Ireland's chief social worker is Shaun hall and we have taken a number of steps and there's been a series of us instant report there's also going to be a leadership in governance review to be undertaken regarding muchmore I.B.M. That'll help us understand what's happened but without a minister we can't take the decision about a public inquiry while any attempt to uncover the trades will be welcomed by families many are demanding a public inquiry $34.00 scuba divers are missing and feared dead off the coast of Southern California after a fire broke out on their boat in the early hours of the morning fire crew members have been rescued but the Coast Guard says hopes of finding others alive are slim. That's the news tonight finally the weather forecast and here's Angie Philips still some Shari rain in places for the time this evening a low Italy's and become a little bit lighter overnight still cloudy and murky though about mind with lows of 12 to 14 Celsius the breeze also eases a bit but picks up again tomorrow which will be another cloudy day with the kids Shari rain especially in the afternoon but some drizzly rain in places in the morning to B.B.C. News. With really a. Great deal of. Yes You're very welcome to across the line it is racy here on Seoul to head back for one night only this December. The return of more than conquerors. Eh eh God how good the truck is it's been so long 19th of December the limelight their 1st Gagin over 4 years we're told it will be a one off delighted to have more than conquerers back in our lives even if it is just for that one night track is just awesome it is called it read it's from the last E.P. That we hard from them called They'll make art from the things that we've seen but this is across the line we're live on until 10. It was Cleric Becky and GA talks in across the line to play a video in Belfast this Saturday night. And there is a dark and menacing new video for that truck. It's also called Crystal I. Was. Dark Crystal is that in the show is all right Sarah Netflix. Dark Crystal a member of oxen is doing the papa tearing on one of the characters I've not seen the show but that's partly because I know it's a very big deal but I must go watch it now and while they were on the set of Dark Crystal They made a video for the track that we've just heard which is called crystal ice as you can go and check out I said they play about fast on a Saturday night and incredibly time the trailer must not just the music all 3 of them to a little to stop light side of being a great band and there are of note as well and it was Vox in on across the line right you are ADD to brand new music every Monday night is the introducing show from Northern Ireland and this is how it will songs. You say the forming live very shortly heads of his 1st step headlining tour and this was announced today huge prospects so many people talking about Jesse Stuart. And then we. Cut up the burning code very well connected very often and of Legends making something of a comeback. If you try to hear enfold. And it's always great to see a return in love after 9 to tip sheet a bumper EDITION this week so much so much great new music to showcase. But it's not a that's what starts an across the line to get your gig out as well and just loads and loads of brand new music from bands that we love it's been a really hectic couple of weeks with our coverage of reading later post and all festivals except if you've got a little bit of a backlog for tonight is an opportunity just to catch up a little bit about stream flow or both in the last few weeks on Table 6 our skulls about the news in the last 7 days finally after this fall what a journey it's been in the company of kit Philip Philip who has been on this program many many occasions over the last I guess 5 or 6 years and we 1st encountered K.P. On an old version of the tip sheet I think about 6 years ago and ever since then we have played their music to death on this program finally we've got a record to look forward to can't people release human on the 11th of October the 3 trucks with play it on the show all of them just incredible and we look forward to probably playing the whole thing I would imagine between knowing the album on the 11th of 2 over we love what they do and this is just one of the tracks of the year for me Kitt fell across a line and it's call you. I It's just so simple. But utterly sublime. I can't get enough of what they dig. From the debut record very excited to be able to talk about it every record we finally got news of it this week will be called human after the AM single that was released last year that earned Philip a single of the year according to the enemies of price and it was an online vote by the public as well which is going to go so the Daily Record will be on October the 11th and no pressure to quit but my goodness I'm just kind of assuming that it will be part of the year so sorry about that but the talk to you heard from Get it was called E.U. And it's cross the line we're going to go from is supported song that gets from yes from ports on up to the north coast in a producer who has just given us a mess of these little jams of cut and paste sort of head pop left fade electronic and music in the last act couple of years and this is from the latest album from setback and it's called Forever waiting for ya. from Terry city who played the oldster sports call in Belfast midnight Friday. So it's across the line it will be until 10 o'clock in session tonight from Arafat's. Informing live in just a moment a young man who's been releasing music. Since arriving 2016. Really been there in the last few months a record deal to well received singles spot headed spawn headlining the 2nd stage aboard part 4 to Amerie in Belfast last month a 1st headline here they'll take him across Europe and into Belfast next year all ahead I'd like to think of a debut record as he still is here is in studio with next door he's got his back to me because he's on the old you want to. Let you just perform the 1st truck because it's weird how the conversation to your back your head it is a bit weird isn't it you know good OK let's just take a piece of music to probably see going to play for us recent single this is called Bones This is called How do you not want him bones that this is going to have you had enough Wang. few. Few. On. Me. It's Jesse Stuart lie on the piano here in studio in Belfast Have you had enough wine a singer from a little bit earlier this year it's a very to those in 1000 think to. Talk about strains but it's got over a WW3X5M and it's just about makes it into the top 5 of the most streamed Jesse Stuart tracks you know what's number one there I think it's bones right now I know it's now not even close I know Bono is medicine that I don't know the one where it's very cool that medicine is almost 4000000. Actually no it's not like I did like I did. Well you really don't know very much about your own career but I'm here to keep your eyes Jesse's here it's lovely to have you here in Belfast and this is all really really exciting because you know if I just after the last couple of years in a new or sort of think you know along nicely but it's just gone completely indoors right in the office or 6 months it's been a bit mental Yeah it's been really brilliant and a funny thing about falling all your adventures in social media as it seems to come as a complete shock to you as well because the research in the in the little green room that we have here in the B.B.C. And your tour starts next year well you don't we don't shield between on the 9th of May You start in Germany and you're all right 3 you're playing in parson and then another lens and the skull in London which is a huge venue in disguise get any. Belfast on the 20th of May and you just it was like you'd won a competition the way they were going to this tour and I've got a bit of a competition when Roger that I was just like it's honestly man is just as it is it is a bit weird The whole thing's a bit on it is a bit unexpected kind of we put it we're doing these London shows the end of September we've been this one night at a pub called is Linton and we booked one night and I really hope we sell it. By September and it went into yours and we put another 3 on they all went to ours and we again it's kind of the same with the shows we just don't know if people are going to come so excited account to try and get it I met you a couple of times I just said that you're being one of those sort of annoying those people that whenever you say How you doing your exams they go I think really messed them up and they. Honestly not trust me trust me realizes it has been petty hasn't dropped that you're going to be a bit of a star we reckon H.S.C. So what was the big moment then why did you get to this point putting aside the fact that you could sing this hope was a really good was a real moment where it all just sort of came together it's kind of hard to tell I moved to England a couple of years ago to go to university and to be a songwriter for other people and I was kind of the dream Also I wanted to do and I got really lucky I've worked for people. You know random stuff I was living on a really good time doing that but I came back to doing the art of stuff and I think it was I toured with codeine at the end of last year and I got really lucky with I'm an amazing monitor hooked me up with and I think I was kind of the turning point for me I went into Europe and started kind of people actually really connected with it in countries that I'd never been to you never thought about playing in and then shortly after that I was really lucky and I was able to sign a record there will not be a massive help as well and you're sort of in kind of I don't want to use the word click because that sounds like a really negative thing that a let's go to family that you know you've got snow patrol in their work you know they they do stuff a code line and code line I thought could land claims to which will in Wembley Arena Yeah and you're kind of part of the. Family you know I got I got so lucky my you know Snow Patrol kind of took me in a couple of years ago was that when I was a songwriter and I've been help me out for like longer than this is kind of been bubbling away nearly like you know way before that and yeah did like that changed everything for me to be honest they literally took me under their wing to introduce me to people they took me on tour in January which is arenas and I was just completely change your shows with them I forgot about the man it was it was mental So once I saw was this role in Columbus you thought yeah not to as well then yeah yeah I did I was like I have to like you know like Amsterdam and Paris and all over Europe was that I was just the most ridiculous experience classical. Why you why are you writing songs for other people you know you're a good look at CHOP you're obviously could sing and you're very charismatic on stage and all of those things why did you why we ever writing songs for other people in the 1st place I always you know my my favorite thing about music and doing all this is writing I just love it and it's like I was doing well being an artist it was you know OK I wasn't making a living off it I figured I didn't want to get a real job and I was I'd work I've had real jobs and it's been fun but I was like I live in London and I want to be able to support myself doing what I love and that was right for the people honestly I still do but I love it I think it's really fun stepping into somebody else's shoes and helping them say what they want to say. I'm not suggesting that you have to be good looking to be a pop star but you know it probably helps and speaking about that as well we were talking to you on as well you've come over from London so you're basically on the day to do the session you were doing a session for family right and yeah you can set it on Earth a problem and that's kind of interesting as well because well they did their commercial radio station in a straight up pop but you sort of still qualify for this the kind of special a show in there that's where the introducing show we're supposed to be what we are left of center and we're more given a bit of a platform to you know acts that maybe wouldn't get our play on commercial radio but you've managed to sort of have a foot in both comes and I can't think of an act this year that is really sort of done not so successful you're right I don't see them ever you become you know really big of a superstar will never play music. Not be in position he's kind of grown out of the world and he'll be played and on all the big sort of daytime shows probably on the station but sort of not by us but to start to start off and kind of qualify for the commercial and the things on the specialists and the things I mean as you know you're a work of the don't need to. Know like what I write so I love I love pop music and I may never like made any qualms about that that's kind of my thing I just really love it and it's I write pop songs I try to make them real and try to make them really honest and I. I think that's maybe the only thing that crosses over is that I'm I'm not writing a fake song about going to and I can't because that's not what pop music is that's what some people think it is I mean pop music is just a song I want to be able to people here on the radio and connecting but also really means something yeah and that's kind of the right approach from so hopefully many white crosses over a bit more while the music they mean the music and she's all over the place of the moment I knew that they could act of the most alternative festival that we have supposedly is there to pick in the biggest act of both not to panic and Reading and Leeds was but the Eilish and surely. Is the quintessential pop star Yes Well it's very weird music you know it's like oh it's nearly like it's amazing what she's doing in the fact that she's writing songs that honestly if you played them to me right now and I don't know who she was and I don't sign them isn't that it's never going to get the radio yeah on the radio it didn't for a long time on the radio ended up on the NOTs like she changed the landscape of music instead of following what people were doing which is that's that's that's what high an icon is born I think you know. But yeah it's hard that's why I think everyone has got to do what they want to deny and see what happens there you know nobody knows but you can try me Louis Cataldie you can try me Billie I wish but neither of those 2 things are going to work again so you just got to be yourself and I hope you're going to that's a whole other story entirely it's just incredible the breakthrough to me. So we always X. Ask our guests Well usually if you've got a bomb go right he got with him and one of the yang but I'm a little bit of a guitar guitar geek Yeah I was like through the story behind the car I'm not asking this question because I know that your budget was the most phenomenal answer but I always ask and regulators of the show will know this I always also tell us about your guitars as your own the target of a long is it going to name give us a little storms to tell us a story so this is the 1st I've ever played this guitar OK So this is a large F. 35 I believe other guitars are available but yeah but this guitar was likely gifted to me about our company for a year I've got on loan but this was Johnny did was playing this on service note which over the last year so it's a pretty special it's all. He's my hero as a songwriter and everything so I'm pretty pretty honored to be put why why do you only need to sort of share this guitar can one of us not just buy another guitar I mean I think he's probably bought one though you were like yeah you can afford one maybe it's time for you to have a little load of on the go on stage was still patrol go oh we're going to start this he's here it's got my guitar turn on as you can have the guitar but it might be it now I don't know why any big C. He will ship if you write it my guitar I mean let's pretend he didn't just like said so much I wanted wrote chip if you ever saw this exact one this is my goodness gracious me it's they have makers Yeah absolutely right let's see the horn a 2nd so now you're going to play while you're on the piano so I should have guessed that you're going to have enough I'm going to play yes OK this is Jesse Stewart live I'm across the line. She. Moved to. Think it's hip so our whole. Know something you know. Is gone and. We've got. Don't leave you 2. Think we both know. The guns. Of the. Long. Long. Long long. Sit. To just. Sit. Down. And says not. 2 long. Long. Long. Long. Come. Along. Until. We both. Know. The current spill. Angst. Oh oh. Oh Long Long Long down to our budget sig just seen or heard she. Was only. If you. Want to see what you say Senor she say. If you're gong. To sing Want To Sing Sing one she been since the album with. Mr Long. To say I want to say it's a monsoon since Zappa. Down soon. Comes . Along. And I know we're on end the call. And the. It's Jessie's to your bones is the truck you're on tour Well it's a long way away and we'll be reminding our listeners a lot of months in the coming weeks and months starting in Germany on the 9th of May and then up in London the sky the 20th and then 27th is the economy down until and then the limelight one of Belfast on the 20th of May 2020 to a couple of things that I want to talk about so you know from my heartfelt yeah OK that's very very near to were my mother's family open trippers time did you ever so I mean I'm halfway between microfilmed it was time I grew up near Glasgow where I was going to be. Part of that kind of background yeah you're probably too young to have gone I remember I played the last ever god. Was bright he moans Watson the soak of all people sign Well you. Know I wasn't we played just straight after each other on the same stand we want we were kind of like in the same she was like a year older than me and I've been I. Mean we catch each other occasionally night is laugh but so weird but yeah I grew up like Northern Irish music was all I didn't see for 4 years you know more than Congress around small things I so you saw in check and you were singing along to every single word of more than conqueror. And then that's like a 4 or 5 year old track Yeah you know I would've been if they were my they were like they give me my 1st ever show the oh yeah center back in the day and they're like they're actually very very dear friends and I'm not about there they were like my heroes as a kid and the way as a way for talk radio was such a massive influence to me and learning to write songs and I remember the day he invited me Ron one time and we wrote a song together and I was like 16 and it was I WANT TO biggest days of my life I remember the time of the biggest deal and he's such a legend one of the biggest song best songwriters I've ever met Yeah there's just so many of us literally Oh listen to me for so long was like Northern Irish and Scottish in the music I love that was so good that is absolutely fantastic companies as well Europe and just after so can she would have been what 15 you would have been we think not she. I was 16 I was 15 yeah so what do you know I just I'm 2222 my goodness just incredible story so far I really hope that we stop playing your music so regular. Line only makes sense if you heard the 1st part of the conversation it will be. No for listeners who've just tuned in I mean that you know he becomes an act the kind of our girls in introducing show and goes off in his plaid sort of dead time radio and then start to take over the world and we give you a talk and play them with the likes of Snow Patrol and stuff because we still were told Don't you know not all stop playing music and you know our listeners day because they love it they love it yeah I guess but you know them and said yes he's your album when will the right 2020 so this year we've got 5 go to another song come on a few weeks and I've gone E.P. In the year OK album we're like there's an album ready whenever we need to put it but it's the key it's the music industry so change and I even got to I mean you know today saying you know the average artist puts out 25 tracks before they get to an album which isn't seen you know I want to I want to like create a demand for an album ya want to make sure that people want to hear I don't want to be an album album then will it be an album of new songs it will be an album compiling everything today I want to make an album new songs I want to make an album. So like we're starting like we're working on the minute I want to I want to I want to build things to a point where you know so now people want to hear and it's an album or you know thing as well if you don't mind me saying this is not meant to be offensive but because you've traveled so much you're. Not as Mara felt as it would be if you stayed here for if you would all the no no I don't know nobody I'm going understands me so I mean you know I think you know the same thing it's always a sign of a very very well traveled but when you're Roxanne can address it and I know it's a science you know English yet as far as it is just it's kind of very Country Diary but sort of you've not been here very yeah you have been you know now I would be a living away for 3 years now but I still come back all the time of still the most pride microphone you know you have from. Good door whenever he comes back it takes him a long time as Oksana because he doesn't want to be the yeah it's not just what happened just like Cheryl is going to take steps for trouble you know adolescence will be shot you're going to cover in a little moment and you have gone for a recent pop banger with yeah it's an interesting cover today I don't know I wasn't Yeah it's probably not unusual across a line cover but that's exactly what we want Yeah I have the producer the programs are to give me for some reason I was I was offered 2 options I would know you play the pop song. So you got to look for it to not really up by saying it what it is so there we go session on across a lot more track to look forward to in a bar like in this quite soon we have rumbled on let's take a little phone drop with burning codes. This is all from burning codes burning codes essentially. The screws to the bombs we've described as the music the burning codes makes generically turn others some of us very very biased and full of mosse of harmony and some of it is really long stretch and full of a lot of energy are our new single head Stricker is really a song of empathy it's the picture of feeding trough and it's a bite serious and potential for a diner challenges and developing resilience and using instilling West's reality and rediscovering who we are next we are playing and the valiant part of call in Harper's where heist remembered even for very much looking forward to that and then on the 20th of September we are hoping to head cook or single launch with a very special gig the vaults and we're really looking forward to the there's going to be live art as well as the danger fields are planned for SEO and we may well have some very special their publication on it for the summer so if people want to find out more advice burning codes in the project we hald our website burning code . To all you can there's a burning home status based on You Tube there's a burning Coast video channel with the videos to please get in touch. a lead to stuff you can listen to from burning codes online as well live by. My goodness must be 15 years and nobody here Paul on the show. Tonight is across the line then we are live on our Until 10 after the news at 9 we've got another adoption edition of the tip sheet introducing bra new bonds to you but right now we will complete our session tonight to see who is set to be a better superstar that is for sure is whether civil really hard to tracks to the signals that we have had from Jesse earlier this year but we're going to get a cover and. Yet when we start with this so the 3 people involved in that there are 3 people in. The team mean ones I know there's loads of people there's like remakes and stuff OK All right well it's a little 12 year old yodeling kid oh my goodness yeah that's about the better so you've got to. You've got to be right OK thank goodness. Far and all the right what's the proper Colonna sex thing as I'd like I don't know if anybody's The fun of him because this is his 1st proper song it's crazy OK you know. The Miley Cyrus as well actually on this try don't think she is I mean she just promotes a lot I guess and also then. Get up on stage with Miley Cyrus a gossamer that's why she's not actually involved in the truck so health is involved then there's another rapper and there's music around that he's not yodeling kid from Walmart he does like a lot is going to if you're going to get up and get out of my way yeah I've seen that as either genius of the worst thing that's ever thinly terrifying the stuff of nightmares right so this track then is kind of a bit it when I was presented to me that it was sort of country meets hip hop Yeah it's not as appalling as songs it's you know what I heard. And I hear you say because I was just like you know what it is it's kind of just yeah tongue in cheek but also on a me since all. This actually is one of the biggest songs of all time it's a bit mental you know it's like the longest running number one and I kind of started think there was controversy because it wouldn't get on the country charts you know whatever reason it would get me hip hop charts so and it just did its own thing on I think kind of understand both those reasonings because it's sort of straddling Yeah there's a 9 Inch Nails song you know I mean yeah it's very in that yeah yeah it's man very very odd So here we go then introduce the truck formally and take it away so this is old son road but it will not sex. Post. Up Close. had crossed time to. Spend the money on my good son he was getting patted down rings and pennies got in that weren't there when a man's around his boys to come up to 7 feet. Long and I just jump back. On. So. Going. On. Brilliant. Road of course as track by as you said the last X. Featuring a track Reznor sample Cyrus as well I think a bunch of other people are able to defend a version. Thank you so much your company tonight. Really really got 3 a little bit better on further adventures I would imagine between the show in. The child get the deal up here we go the 20th what have you got. For headline shows in London and September Teryn with J.P. Cooper which goes through the academy in Dublin again and then we get a lot more music to release and a lot more on there like a lot of those things are loads of other stuff it's not and. Everyone says well we should say there is a bond it's not just yeah I've got I've got the most ridiculous band it's so much fun it's good he's got a 27 piece band actually 4 of us are just a lot better musicians than me so I make it so I'm better at this guy should look at the stage and not just listen to. Pleasure chatting to listen to the tracks we heard tonight on line that both being released as singles and revisit that wonderful cover and we will see you again thank you very much I so much. Right this is. Put you. On the. Cobbles on this. He. a. MUST SEE gets nominated. Or will it be just to get this far and I don't even think. Is there was Leo. Just wonderful neo soul whatever you want to call. Head of schedule. So we can play some more of this I have a soft. Rubber. D.J. . Nukes. My apologies. This cold son my G. . My mates you might. Hear it says you mighty mighty. Mighty Mighty. Leaders you make you might. Want. To play Kimball. Sometimes a. Team to make him jump in every minute no vacation never likely. To meet him in Joplin. And you want to take. Bring the. Media. Thanks. B.B.C.
