This is off or not on for blood from Dawson attaboy and coming up in this of the program in a moment we'll get an update on how he couldn't Dorian it's bastard progs of the Bahamas with incredible speeds wind speeds of up to 190 mph even over that as well is because it is one of the most powerful are considered of the most powerful of any mortgage smoochy rules and find out how the people of Poland has been marking the a tooth anniversary of the day goods Nazi German tanks rolled in across the border to annex the country invasion that triggered the 2nd world war effectively the German president's been in Poland apologizing on Governor. Country. How that went down in the country I would have a round up of course of the Belgian Grand Prix is one second off. Darrien 1st of all it's made landfall in the north western Bahamas as a monster cats agree 5 storm with sustained winds of up to a $180.00 mph the extremely dangerous storm is the strongest hurricane on modern record in the area according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center I spoke to Kint Watson from Eyewitness News Bahamas earlier on and I asked him if he knew of any casualties as a result of the storm according to officials there has been no reported or special count on casualties yet Now obviously that's because they have not been able to get into these communities as yet as Abaco is still under the gun and then run by Hama which is the that's close as I live will be under the gun as well so the prime minister says it will be perhaps until about Tuesday before they are able to go out and make assessments or to check a rescue or even Sure bring people to safety so white now the official are saying that there is no count on casualties at this time but we don't know if that will remain what about presuming you're in St John the capital and. Yes we're in the Capitol grounds are you right OK And how about of things been there. They're been kind of issue here now so that's the that's the interesting layout of the Bahamas of the islands where we're spread over 100000 square miles of water so the capital while we had minimal conditions maybe some light rain the sunlight winds build or K. Conditions no tropical storm conditions at all however it's this extreme northern island is the way the capital to set up we're actually right in the middle 5 of a chain of islands but then it's the northern islands of albacore run by Hamas that are experiencing hurricane conditions because of this monstrous 5 parts 5 of the central and southeastern Bahamas and of media in northwest Bahamas OK I'm not experiencing the kind of conditions for hurricanes does that explain why some people haven't taken the warnings seriously because you have such a great geographical expressions the people in the Bahamas will know that Rick you cover the entire She founded. Well the thing about it is here in the Bahamas we always know where the hurricane is headed we know which islands are be affected the palm of your well as he has been very effective it being able to tell which island should be prepared and should be cautious the thing is what behave means are Bahaman do not like to leave their personal property by they don't want to leave it unprotected they want to be able to protect their for a private party properties I did not want the Incan being so having to be even relocate or shelter and so they'll wait until the very last moment although wait until this release of their before they actually move out and that's what happened in these areas we knew that this storm was coming to Abaco and grab a Hama they knew that this storm was going to be dangerous but yet you still have so many people that say I still want to try to ride it out also what is important to note is in an article there is a very large migrant community of patient the case you could get itchy who live in shanty towns and so getting them to move. A lot of them are straight too because of language barriers or stories of being apprehended by immigration and so you'll find that many of them will not take the heat of the official calls would to behave mincing than they. Do they think they will protect their properties from the come protect their proxies from how we can get away. They cannot all this is what we can keep stressing the people that you cannot protect your property what you finally here in the Bahamas or that many people are just afraid of moving out so they will stay in this and their homes to go regardless of the weather system so they will face they'll stay there still trying to protect even though they know there's a dangerous storm passing NO ONE of evidence spirits a storm like this so people thought in the past all a cat was able to I was able to ride out a storm that may have been dangerous but no one knew them by going to have Dorian Dorian came with where they were with the waves and a ferocious storm but no one is ever expected as many of them are now regret against. Do the Off to both of Dorian on and so wouldn't need international. Gathering of the ferocity of this already can most yes most definitely we will need the international help the prime minister has already has already said that the international help has made itself available and so the prime minister is confident that the international community will indeed respond and the kind of once the all clear is given to be able to bring the necessary relief that is needed to the people a lot of our agencies our international regional agencies are in place and I've already said representatives here are ready to respond and so we believe that the international community will support the day U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted his best words regarding the wishes of the behavior people so we believe that the international community is standing ready to assist the Bahaman community clean once and for Eyewitness News Bahamas Steve Bowen is a meteorologist and head of catastrophe inside on he's in Florida right now and Steve would you mind just tell us what the weather conditions are like at the moment. I'm on the other side of the state currently and Tampa and things are OK but what the concern is certainly going to be on the East Coast so far. As Dorian continues to very slowly make its way across Grand Bahama Islands the concern with this is that the storm has not yet made its paws and more of a northward jaunt So the Bahamas and fortunate are going to be facing a quite of quite least another 24 hours of very intense winds a very high storm surge very intense rainfall which could exacerbate some of the flooding situations but in Florida all people are very very concerned about when this turn might be for Dorian over the course of the next couple of days as we know right now that the wind field is still fairly small but the more of a westerly jaunt that it takes and the closer it gets the call fine the greater risk that exists for Florida the National Hurricane Center has extended its hurricane warnings and hurricane watches up through the entire east coast of Florida and we'll probably start to see more of those a warning you start to get up to other states like Georgia South Carolina North Carolina as the storm eventually start to take more of a northward turn with regards to the Bahamas for a moment can anything withstand any community in any infrastructure withstand. Winds which will be in total by the sun it subsides 6 hours of batching From 180 mile per hour winds. It takes a very sturdy structure to be able to withstand that sort of intensity typically you would expect a concrete bunker type construction that's the ideal for this type of way of wind intensity but the reality is we cover the correspondent previously that many of the structures there are not necessarily of highest quality and we're talking when it came ashore a 185 mile an hour storm that's slightly we can do 180 miles an hour as it made its way into the Grand Bahama but you have that level of intensity of the winds that's really going to weaken the structural integrity of many of these buildings and the concern is that as a system continues a very slowly move off to the west that you know. You mention 36 consecutive hours and that's just a lot of stress for a lot of these structures unfortunately may not be able to withstand And with regards to Florida when it hit Florida wouldn't be the Carolinas that get there that's for the $1000000.00 question at this point the National Hurricane Center continues to include the East Coast of Florida within its cone of uncertainty. Very very closely monitoring any wobbles print maybe more to the left and then the center of the cone continues to show so right now it's not expected to strike the coast of Florida but it's going to be a very very close it's reminiscent of Hurricane Matthew when 2016 which rode directly alone the eastern coastline of Florida as a Right now it's going to be very close to South Carolina and maybe graze at the outer banks of the Carolinas but again we're going to be talking about this unfortunately through work Thursday night into Friday so there's still several days of of this left to go to risk and have to be very cognizant of the some of these little shifts because any any shift even 25 to 30 miles to the west can make a big difference in terms of the human impact and the physical damage impact on United States seem thank you very much Steve Bowen there Mistral just an head of catastrophe inside a on a just talk about town and now it's once again demanded compensation from Germany for the losses it inflicted on the produce nation during the 2nd World War a series of commemorative events took place in wool so this Sunday to mark the 18th and eventually of the outbreak of the 2nd world will German president Frank Steinmeyer vowed his country would never forget the atrocities of the Nazi period and also forgiveness from Bowden covers Central Eastern Europe for the Guardian it was in will so yesterday and tell me about the events there's been several different events which have kind of been a bit of an insight into how divisive history is and the history of the 2nd World War is. In Poland and maybe elsewhere as well so you know in Warsaw we had this big official. Military ceremony and then some speeches from the Polish president Donald Trump was was meant to give the keynote speech but he of course canceled at the last minute and my pants and we had the German president very solemnly apologize but then in other parts of Poland there were also different commemorations and Dansk in the north which is where. The sort of the Nazis 1st attack on Poland happened early in the morning on the 1st time or 80 years ago. Big The city is run by a liberal opposition to Poland's quite nationalist government so that the tone was a bit different they were they've been accusing the government of rewriting history the mare of London study and he spoke and danced he was about ceremony so sort of you know ye it's been although everybody agrees that of course the war was was terrible and this was a solemn day the way people have been marking it have been a bit different was it a national day of remembrance officials. Well it's not it's not a public holiday inn and obviously it's Sunday but it was a day off and it to feel a bit like a public holiday in Warsaw much of the center was closed that many square was sort of quite locked down for all of the I.P.S. There were a lot of ordinary people who were out and about on the street some of them with Polish flags and I think because Poland suffered so much in the war. It is of course a powerful memory here every family has grandparents or parents or maybe great grandparents who were involved and probably every family has someone who died in the war so you know that and there are frequent anniversaries there I mean that it seems like it comes around every year that something whether it's the anniversary of the Warsaw uprising out of us or at the end of the war this on the anniversary of the beginning of the war so it is something that feels very present here rather than something that's kind of dusting in the in the history books for generations ago so there will be some living testimonies of the 80 years ago that Germany invaded Poland with the old boot. Young memories of the time. Yeah I mean the definitely are still people alive there are a few survivors who you know revere really you know well into their ninety's at this point who they were on the square in Warsaw there are still people who remember those 1st days of the war as young children but I think in a way you know 80 years since the start we are coming to this point where. Almost everybody who has real memories of that period has passed away or certainly will be back before the next day on our anniversary comes around and and perhaps means that it's a little ease. It's to use the memories and to use the war for the political and because you know everybody still has a parent or grandparent but those people who really do remember themselves up here and here are well A Today was a day of remembrance I think the messages we saw coming from the Germans coming out of Poland coming out of Russia which has been you know but I'm a patient was near invited today because of the spat about the responsibility for the start of the 2nd World War. You know that it's becoming something that's being I think more and more politicized well out of the the spat with Russia would be about. Poland having been subjugated which is where I know a lot of people feel by the Soviet Union pose the 2nd world who how do they. I suppose view the invasion by Germany with book some people would regard as an invasion by Russia afterwards Well exactly so you know you had this 8 days before the war started you had the Nazi Soviet PAP's where you know. Stalin and Hitler signed a non-aggression agreement and there was a secret protocol that the 2 big powers would would sort of split Eastern Europe between them so Germany invaded Poland on the 1st of September the Soviet Union invaded from the east on the 17th of September and within a matter of weeks it was divided up between these 2 countries and basically devastated. And you know that 10 years ago when it was the 70th anniversary. Came to Poland. He met with the Polish president at the time with angular Merkel and they came to a ceremony in pits Actually he didn't apologize but he said that with the mistake it was a terrible thing to do a deal with the Nazis and it felt as if we were kind of getting closer to some kind of reconciliation this time the mood from Moscow has been very different they've launched a Twitter campaign to say that this Nazi soffit pact was their only option as one Russian minister even called it a brilliant piece of diplomacy there's this real revisionist sense that everyone else was doing deals with the Nazis and so there was no day of the summit you know I have no other choice because that sort of rhetoric where Russia kind of demands that everybody is grateful to Admittedly the enormous sacrifice that the Soviet Union and Soviet people did make in the war that forgets about 939941 when they were actually allied with the Nazis and of course forgets about what happened after 945 when the Soviet Union imposed. I mean as I'm on the eastern half a year up on this day it makes for some quite difficult historical arguments in this part of the world what about the issue of reparations which emerged just about we can often go again for the 1st time in many many years with the Polish actually putting as some on the amount of money they say they are by Germany for the an exaggeration of parts of post in amongst other things and the invasion in itself. Of course also was allowed to reclaim parts of Germany or seem to remember as part of the play with the Germany was due to Poland posed will but the issues come up again nothing they put is someone ever the whole issue of reparations is is clearly this incredibly thorny one it's come up. Over the past couple of years with with with Poland's nationalist government on a number of occasions you know given the horrific suffering that part of underwent during the war. They should be properly they were never properly compensated for the. German government while very sincerely apologizing for it for what happened during the war and you know that was the real tyrant from France all this time either German president and more sorts the day he repeatedly said you know I stand for you I offer my apologies that this is the hardest square in the world to me to speak and so on but it's on that issue of money they say about is a historical issue that is closed. They would point to various moments in history where the issue they believe was resolved and it's a sort of is it is a it is a hugely controversial issue it's something that many people here feel is perhaps being. As a political tool as part of this whole struggle government now has been the but I think it is probably something we'll be hearing a bit more from the polls about in the coming months or perhaps years how did the. President go down at how depose read about them. I mean I think. Your parent is clearly in this in this historical position where it's been invaded from the west and beta from the east throughout its history and I think there is an acute awareness of that but I think there probably is a feeling here that. Clearly a very different Germany that Germany has sincerely repented for what happened during the war and there is a huge you know that many Germans come to power and many Poles go to Germany I mean this fairly although there is that tension at the moment between the Polish government and I think that relationship between parent and Germany is on pretty good terms and they apologise taken sincerely I think today. Is real problem and the fears of many ordinary poles is far more to do with the big neighbor to the east with Russia and with the potential threat that Russia poses still to to the region and that's why Poland as is so pro-American it's so enthusiastic about NATO membership as also why they were you know one of the few countries perhaps who was really excited about having Donald Trump coming to visit and getting a big speech and of course it slightly in the eyes of the parish government where in that. Time didn't show up I did read some. Apologies if this isn't correct and it was about the number of buildings that were destroyed in Poland as the did not see armies of the German armies if you prefer the Nazis withdrew from their positions is that we're losing the battle for Poland tools into the war something like How do if this was. So for where there was throughout the country Summer 955 percent of all buildings were destroyed his neck to you know spite as it were by the Germans is that true. Again I don't want to give you an exact figure but certainly many major Polish cities were almost completely destroyed by you know a combination of to start with air assault from the Germans. Of course the front lines of the war top back towards the end of the war moved across Poland as the Nazis. But words retreated and the Soviet army advanced and each stage of this of course the more people buildings cities suffered and you also added into that you have events like the Warsaw uprising where. After that was put down by the Nazis they did destroy large parts of the city and punishment. So how do polls food generally about the context of them or the invasion of their country been the trigger for a world war rather than just you know what would have been a regional conflict. Well I think they feel a little bit let down by the West they feel that it shouldn't have got to to this stage of. The the Nazis invading Poland in September 939 and I think if you listen to the speech the president due to the Polish president gave today it wasn't just some reflection there was an amount of anger and he did say if people had stood up to the Nazis earlier this may not have happened he as I say there that the polls very very worried about Russia today he was even comparing the situation with the Nazis and to the situation with Russia today saying that you know the West should be trying to do deals with Peyton and the Kremlin with Russia that the lessons from the 2nd World War are that you know if you don't stand up to people. They simply get emboldened so you know that to me that was one more example of the way that 8 years on and it's a very flexible. It's a very flexible historical and you know everybody says we should learn the lessons of the war but each country and even within countries will take a very different views of what those lessons exactly are short walk of the guard and his clear Freeman with the latest 5 I've heard lines from digital B.B.C. Expertly driven the 1st leg of this journey Thank you very much tunnels through the way John and Paul is to his left as the chief passenger and navigator he didn't navigate well I know you don't have to anymore. Yes and also your driving was was pretty mediocre. Oh no no he sounds like one of bridge like what about 2017 poke. Around. Your drive it was driving was bloomin mediocre. Oh yeah I was in those thing anyone's ever said it. Was going to be. In the back is Jenny go to the back you see I Ving I have I have actually I. Did not take my guidance and advice very well T.J. Was it correct Yeah well it. You know it was not let me move on. To the story of the race and we don't do that anymore good we have fun things to talk about Celek I did when I was Hamilton 2nd Valtteri Bottas in 3rd place Jack took a serious story of the right. Class started on pole he got a good start actually he pretty much did everything right in this Grand Prix he got of good stuff was not really attacked for the lead up to a Call it was Vettel that got the bad start Hamilton got through then they swapped places then Leclaire pulled away then there was a safety car and the clay got a pretty good restart and was under pressure and it was the 2 Mercedes and Vettel fighting again then there was that weird moment where he Vettel pitted to defend from the Mercedes suddenly he emerged in the lead of the race but Claire easily got past him for our team orders no worries and he had it under control until the last few laps when Hamilton closed in a near took him and won the race but didn't so they would I thought was the story of the race and all of the fans I mean sawzall of thousands of Macs staff and fans with their front legs in a sea of orange in the excitement than they had for the rage that was pretty short lived wasn't there I felt a bit sorry for them I thought it was over Max's definition it wasn't really his doing he didn't get a great start but it collided with one but full credit to the fans they stayed and watched a quite a good most race it wasn't the days of financial alone so in Barcelona where I'm having a Valencia in 2008 1st lappie crashed with it was because you can acco Jima everyone in the grandstand their own does go to been left and that was it. They stayed they were the race but it was unfortunate it was to happen unlucky. We're going to get some passenger announcements by the way but we think that adds to the be all be all of this podcast So James was that unlucky. Is that I do think it's a racing incident I think right going in came across and Julie to the end saw it and at last saw So I think if you're on the if you're towards the outside and Iraq and wasn't squeezed across thing you've got to give a better room on the inside in case there's someone there I couldn't move brought over to the curb on the apex the stop and was not out of control but he was deep on the brakes and welcome but he was under control in a lockup he just simply had nowhere to go by the time Reichen in came right across into the apex CO from nowhere so yeah I think he was it was maybe a bit unlucky racing incident like one tight corner these things happen yes they didn't finish the race color sign so say didn't finish the race and even as he's classified and him and Norris both classified in fact and didn't finish because I got my seat belt on still way stationary in the car so really annoyed by her story because this is one the will probably happen. I have had Yeah I'd almost perfect. Driving weekend actually it was me I had a little incident with a drain cover so I'd say I want to sail around without. Words in your mouth I mean I wouldn't say drive their day quite frankly so that's fine and let's talk a little bit about Charlotte Claire and so he's had 3 PO positions 3rd time lucky Joleon Palma said this morning and 3rd time lucky was. How impressed are you by Him Yeah very he's been I think they're the main thing is. He's making Sebastian Vettel look fairly average right now and Vettel is a top drivers aforetime chum but he's being shown up by the Clare now it's just a measure of how good he's driving 3 pole positions and with every race he's looking more and more dominant in the team we shouldn't forget he started as a number 2 pretty much guaranteed number 2 and 13 races in he's taken the team's 1st win Vettel didn't even make the podium Vettel qualify 7 times behind him. And it's not surprise that a close taken for his 1st win of the season. Yeah driving really well so to a bit of pressure for good measure lovely stuff vessels only had one Pole this year Claire's had 3 now the Clare got one when the vessels none and Vettel was so absent in this Grand Prix that's that's the really surprising thing Leclaire that a good job Vettel was nowhere near being able to compete with the Mercedes. He was in front of them but he was nowhere near being able to stay ahead of them they had to beat him early then they. You know then he was on all the tires in order sort of went backwards for him from there his race unfolded it pushed really hard when he pitted was like 2 seconds quicker than the guys in front killed his tires a lot more and had to pay I had nothing left to defend it's Hamilton and wouldn't be able to defend he has bought us either. So it's just a bit flustered he had to pay when he did because I was Hamilton could have undercut him done and done in that way. Yeah the last time Vettel qualified look closer was his published in Canada that seems ages ago when all the 5 2nd penalty for Rory was ages ago and as you know Vettel did take one for the team to a certain extent in today's result because he was one that was holding up Hamilton and they kept him out for longer so that Hamilton would have less of a chance to get Clare and I think if it hadn't been for that Hamilton would have won that race yeah oh no I think you're right in that well no because then the whole sort of dynamic of the race changes but it is fair to say that if you know Hamilton had lost one second behind vessel I suppose he might have been ahead of him at the end of the Grand Prix but Vettel wasn't the the rear gunner there I don't think with with any form of intention really yeah I totally think I totally thought he was Ferrari of imply that he was as well in the picture that them celebrating after his they're all pointing at Vettel because they're basically invite that he helped No I did he get out of the way of a cleric the 1st time advance asking when team was was team orders were applied but he also did the job for the team holding up Hamilton I don't know. Was he supposed to do. So to hold out how much of what was he supposed to do that point. Let me through will appear in Gal the way in and out for Therion that I had to hold on to Hamilton for his own race not just for Clare's and I and to be honest the clay lost a bit time passing Vettel anyway followed him around for a law. Got to within 4 seconds from 7 seconds back in the period that Clare was behind Vettel it didn't change the race Vettel holding on from Hamilton for an extra lot because he had straight on speed or extra couple up for he was actually but it didn't change the absolute I mean maybe when you look at how close it was at the end but you could argue so many points as well Hamilton put up late to the McLaren lost a bit of time and a lock up here or a lock up there in the grand scheme of the little everywhere. Was in the rig on ahead today it was simply out for his own race and it ended really kind of poorly for him 4th in a 4 car race really from I K I stand corrected in that case if you add in we can agree to disagree you down to be corrected but since you know most you am sure we hear from a race winner Shala Cloudesley a very difficult day a bittersweet day for the young man after the passing of one who yesterday this is a dream come true sing since child always dreamed of my 1st carrier win in Formula One So yeah only thing obviously doesn't feel it doesn't feel good with what happened yesterday and I can't enjoy it fully which. You know which is which is like this I thought quite a bit 121 we started counting together we did both of our 1st racing karting together. In France so it's a it's a difficult weekend overall but yes happy to to to win the 1st race for the set was speak I have to say I think he's a brilliant driver I think he's a great spokesperson and read the. Tragedy just follows him around he's had to deal with losing his dad losing his job Yankees now is lost and now there may in a no accident at a racetrack I mean he story one day the book that he writes when he's like a multi world champion or whatever he's going to be extraordinary Yeah I didn't really. Put the bank and his father thing together over the last couple years to be honest you know I sort of thought of it in terms of today and what happened so and so on I'm 20 bear but yeah I didn't really consider the other events he's had in his life so you're right and I think it was. The right result in capital letters if we want to put her away I dick was just desperate for Claire to finally get a win but they were desperate last time as well I don't think that was a bad thing I think that was just this is right right and yeah absolutely and this is great to have a new race winner in Formula One and it is nice to see him finally you know capitalize on it because he's been so close so many times and again it looked as though it might slip away right at the end of day but he's but he's managed to hold on is this the start of a great legacy generally and well. A big statement is a question. Yeah it's a big question deserving of a big answer. Started a legacy isn't a legacy something more than just winning a race or a championship a legacy is I want to leave a legacy you leave behind you I think rephrase anyways is this not over I think this race considering what happened yesterday considering is the Claires 1st grand prix I think this will be up there with you know the 1st win of. Schumacher you know or his his 1st debut at spar in the Jordan you know I think it will have legendary status in the future that's quite big fans are actually and that is a lot to get them on. So well that is it out after it's absolutely fine say Lechler away the race winner and maybe or maybe not the start of great legacy Vettel we've already spoken about about him a bit of a bad day in office should Hamilton have won that race how Morten did well to challenge I think this was another one for me of the difference Hamilton makes Now he was 12 seconds clear of L.T. POTUS who had a good weekend actually kept Hamilton pretty honest and was there towards the end but how Milton was the one that kicked on to challenge the Ferrari's force Vettel to Pearlie the reason Vettel pitted so early is because he had to otherwise Hamilton was going to undercut him within a 2nd on the track so they managed to do that and then when it looked like a player was going to win it comfortably I'm Alton managed to find a 2nd wind and really push him for are you a quick at the lot of the front row Clare drove a brilliant race I think I want to drive a great race as well to be there at the end. Comfortably clear of his teammate in the end he was the one challenging this time for our we didn't crack the drivers didn't crack play didn't crack and they won but I think I want to drive Well I think one more lap and Hamilton's winning that grand prix but obviously the race is only as long as it is so maybe you know they let his a lap later and that doesn't even count but he was so close to. To getting Leclaire at the end there which was which was pretty impressive and. Extended his Even the championship as well as if that sort of Hamilton was saying 44 is obviously he's lucky number but today could have done with a couple of extra because the race is 44 laps and if it had a couple more thought he could have done the Clare as well. And Hamilton was really complimentary of Le Claire when I was speaking to him after the race he is like you know you're really good seashell haven't won a race. And when he's fast races well. He can remember the last time everyone in the paddock wanted the pole sitter to go on and win the race. He's really popular in the particular Claire office he's had a lot of bad luck this year as well with. With Bahrain particularly and that should have been his 1st win when he drove really perfectly that weekend Austria you could argue he was unlucky with the strategy and they sat on the soft toys they pitted too early and left him exposed but just everyone wanted him to get that 1st win today there was barely anyone in the paddock who would have wanted anything else and as weird in Formula One You Want you want to see a great race you don't want to see the poles at the March often win but it's just how I will unfold it and I think everyone's chat forum and bought has had a relatively quiet race didn't do anything particularly outstanding but obviously didn't manage to get on to the podium. Harrison just so unfortunate Landay Norris. I mentioned classified but didn't finish the race Good ness. Did the moment he saw that there was a McLaren stranded over the start finish line Well the race between Le Claire and Hamilton was happening it's just not on. And I you know in my ever professional capacity I was thinking that can't be Nora's in that McLaren that's pulled over let me make sure I was looking to try and get a good view of his helmet look at the roll size have been it seems like you have 5 but you just thinking oh that can't be nor is that must be Carlos signs even though he's been out as long as we did when actually today even though he got a good start over to the 2 houses. Then everyone crashed at Term one so we just have scooped out the inside and then was in 5th that was literally the end of his Grand Prix until it ended it happened early it was a good drive he was 17 seconds clear of the rest of the midfield in a car that was not looking particularly strong over the course of the week in the McLaren so it was a good drive but at the same time didn't have to do anything it was an old one all right I know he'll say I agree but you know what I mean it was it was a english speaking to members of McLaren before they were thinking in a straight fight we might not get yet it and then he ends up in a clear 5th position sure both rebels were effectively I mean Albon wasn't but he started from the back of a step and was Reichen was was effectively out with that 1st crush as well but Norris got a good start and kept his nose clean and just good pace for the read the rest of the midfield were just following each other round in a day or a strain overtaking great fighting except for Norris just wasn't getting involved 15 seconds up the road. He's going to be the most unlucky driver this year. I think always has a former time in Canada from the points far a suspension failure and a weird retirement as well I was and I was old char on US China got hit with kids here and science didn't start. France had a hydraulic failure from 6 or 7 which points but lost a few places on the final lap on the final. Main He retired as well yeah but I was a crash with stroll. Hungry at a really slow pit stop which cost him a couple of places just things aren't going on going right for a while and science this weekend also didn't score points had. Reliability issues as well but Norris is the one that is qualifying really well in the McLaren I mean he didn't make you 3 this time but he's generally is ahead of signs but he's got left less than half the points I think it's not yeah and that is science has driven really well this season as well and he's made the most of his starting positions but Norris has been so unlucky in this one I can't imagine what it's like to be on the final lap and you going for your best of results when I was in Singapore 2017 and my car broke down. I would've gone apoplectic. Early because there's always the fear you can use in the loneliest race of his life and you just think come on hold on one wall up and you just don't believe it when that sort of thing we had a little listen to the radio just before we started this podcast we can't play it it's far too blue but understandably there are a few curses used and there was nothing he could dig he would get out and push that car and if he could nothing he could say real bad luck fair for Norris 14 a favorite Alex who you know we started pretty much near the back and finished off in 5th place a good drive from Albon a lot of people sort of dropped off in front of him but then I had some overtakes to make some jobs to do he had a faster car but you know he still had to get the job done and he did get the job done which was sort of quite different too. I find it sometimes I think I'm we're being a bit harsh comparing it to guys because I guess the for example in Hungary struggled towards the back to never really made his way through whereas Albon did have the easiest track on the calendar to overtake with which to carve his way through but he still got the job done made a few great overtaking maneuvers and finished 5th which is probably better than he could have sort of realistically expect that come the end of the Grand Prix do you see went around the outside of one of the greatest me you would like so excited about in the broadcast I. Don't know where it was and I let you take but I just know you were so excited I think it was Danny Rick was never around the outside of the downhill left hander it turned 9 he had a huge tired bandage and it was a it was a great move never seen anyone do it there probably isn't one for the ages that are you know remember for a long time but it was pretty cool and then he did amazing Paris towards the end which we investigated but that was fairly hairy as well like he was writing a bucking bronco along the grass. It George obviously to remember one you might not have seen it you might know that I saw after the race. When the investigation came out I don't know what that's preferred I think that was in the mess that was no race call Leclaire and it was Hamilton it was just there was a whole Molay of stuff going on in that last lap which meant that the classification at the end was slightly different to how how we thought it was going to be yeah it went a bit crazy but it was an album in faith parasitics album literally did as well as he could this weekend I must say I still think album this weekend it did great he was near enough to stop and through the weekend it was hard to compare because of course he had the engine penalty but. He would have been well behind Norris at the flag we don't know where I could and would have been as well Perez was held up early on behind the houses. I think the stop is still carving his way through the food a bit quicker than Albon so I don't think he's It was the absolute best he could finish but I think there's still more to come but I think it's more the fight that he showed at the end that's what Red Bull will be excited about the movie it won't go down in absolute folklore but it was a nice aggressive move and I think Red Bull Marco Christian want to be pretty chuffed with his weekend double points finish for racing point attractor a notoriously go well out with Paris 6th stroll 10th double points finish for Tara Russell as well that will help them out I was kidnaped 7th ghastly 9th and Holcomb Burke finishing in 8th place for rent 0 with Ricardo just a toy away from a car they tried to make him do the longest run in the history of long run well he had a you had a collision on the 1st lap and pitted. I still think it was worth that it was odd but I did think he's pitching again he's nowhere near bothering the points yeah is as neat I haven't looked back through it but he was current of new age of innocence he was and can eat when they want you and they went along I think you could ever on them a late charge made big progress long stroll made 2 pit stops and got a point Ricardo definitely could have made it so he would've been ahead a stroll What about a point I think on a hiding to nothing keeping him out was a hit and hope just can he hold on and he couldn't I don't know great for Hass either Kevin Magnussen 12th 13th for Roman Gratian they both went backwards. 15th 16th 17th the kibitz and you cannot say ended up in the Barry is classified as 18. Well I don't know what you can say about any of those even marginally interesting apart from they did exactly what they thought they were going to do so months in a week's time plenty of programming from there and as we draw into the U.K. Well say goodbye for now face has been and I am reaction for B.B.C.
