Travellers from Australia must get a PCR or RT-PCR test.
Travellers will need to arrange to have this test carried out by a private pathology clinic – not a free community testing station. This is because the clinic needs to provide a results certificate which is linked to your passport details for travel clearance.
Prices for this service differ between providers, so here is a guide to where you can go and how much you can expect to pay.
Where: Various locations in New South Wales and Queensland
Medlab Pathology offers RT-PCR tests for travellers, with a 24-hour turnaround time. You book and pay for your test online, then you’ll be emailed a form which you’ll need to print out and bring to one of their collection centres. Results will be emailed to you.
