Traffic stop leads police to gun under driver seat of Utica man’s car

Utica, N.Y. -- A traffic stop led officers to a gun underneath the driver’s seat of a man’s car Tuesday night, according to a news release from Utica police.
Joshua Butler, 35, of Utica, was charged with second-degree possession of a weapon, third-degree possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a weapon.
At 11 p.m., officers stopped a car driven by Butler in the 1600 block of Brickerhoff Avenue, police said.
During the stop, officers were notified Butler had an outstanding warrant and arrested him, according to police.
