In a public advisory, the Laoag City police said Bonifacio street corner Juan Luna Street, Rizal Street corner General Segundo Avenue, General Segundo Avenue corner General Luna Street, General Luna Street corner Paco Roman Street, General Luna Street corner V. Llanes Street, Rizal Street corner Balintawak Street, Rizal Street corner Farinas Street and Farinas Street corner Hernando Street will be "no entry points" for vehicles. To avoid inconvenience, motorists from the south and going east or northbound are advised to take the alternate route from Gilbert Bridge, turn right on Bonifacio Street then turn left on Nolasco Street going north, and straight along Bonifacio Street going east. Meanwhile, motorists coming from the west or north going southbound may take Rizal Street then turn right on Hernando Street and turn left on F. R. Castro Street then to Gilbert Bridge going south. Vehicles from the east and going west, south or north shall take Rizal street then turn right on Bacarra Road, then turn left on P. Lazaro, turn left on Hernando Street, turn left F.R. Castro, and then to Gilbert bridge bound for the south. Motorists who want to avoid traffic congestion in Laoag downtown during the proclamation rally shall take the Laoag by-pass road instead.
