As front-line workers and the most at-risk receive vaccinations from COVID-19, the question remains on when the general public will be able to get inoculated.
Distribution of the first doses of the vaccine have fallen behind 2020 goals, both nationally and in Tennessee. It will still take some time for the vaccine to be widely available.
But relief is coming. Knox News is tracking vaccination figures provided by the state to update the public on its progress. Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's senior official for infectious diseases told NPR that "75 to 85% [of Americans] would have to get vaccinated if you want to have that blanket of herd immunity."
