Town of Osceola wants more information on election errors

Election workers from the spring election in the Town of Osceola will be asked to give a written report to the Town Board about the election and why numerous write-in ballot votes were not initially reported. 
The board made the decision to ask for more information from election workers following a discussion of the recount May 4. 
Then Town Chair Brandon Whittaker read a prepared statement about the election and the recount. “I would like to make a brief statement about the spring election. As many of you are aware, there were some errors in the initial vote tally for last month’s election. These issues related primarily to counting of write-in ballots. I want to thank those individuals that brought the issue to the attention of town officials.
