Like Johnson, at least six other gullible European tourists claim they have been duped in the past three months alone, and have posted their experiences on popular travel websites like lonelyplanet, tripadvisor, about.com and indiamike – so much so that the ‘Goa gem scam’ is being listed as an advisory on all these forums .
