The NHL announced Wednesday it is hiring Jared Maples as Executive Vice President and Chief Security Officer. Maples has been the director of the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (NJOHSP) since 2017.
NHL commissioner Gary Bettman also announced the retirement of Dennis Cunningham, the current Executive Vice President of Security, dating back to 1993.
