While I am someone who
loves to eat, I am also kind of a picky eater. I am especially picky when it comes to some "North Dakota favorite" dishes I was forced to consume as a child. So, I decided to ask the people of Bismarck and Mandan what foods they have hated since childhood.
North Dakota has a lot of German and Norwegian influence. I have always been told that is why a lot of our meals are "hearty," consisting of meat, potatoes, and other mushy things. But I am baffled at some of our "staple" foods in this state. As it turns out, our Bisman listeners are also disgusted, to this day, by some of the foods they grew up with.
