The Tommy Tiernan Show has become one of the most loved talk shows on Saturday night TV due to its honest and open conversations with inspirational guests.
In last night’s episode, viewers were blown away by the incredible story told by Leitrim hurler Zak Moradi, who shared his story about how he and his family fled from Iraq and settled in Ireland.
Zak was only 11-years-old when he and his Kurdish family left Saddam Hussein’s regime in Iraq and found it quite the culture shock coming to Carrick-on-Shannon in 2002.

It has now been 17 years since Zak came to Ireland and since then he has embraced the kindness of the Irish people, and even found himself loving a bit of GAA.
