Tommy Chandler sworn in as Bossier City's new mayor

It's official.Bossier City has a new mayor.
Mayor-elect Tommy Chandler, to resounding applause, was sworn in as the city's new mayor Thursday afternoon at the Bossier City Convention Center which was packed with citizens, and dignitaries including Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins, Shreveport City Councilwoman Tabatha Taylor, and Caddo Parish Commissioner, Mario Chavez.
Chandler took the time to thank his family members, volunteers, and others  who helped during his campaign. He also acknowledged former Bossier Mayor Lorenz "Lo" Walker who he referred to as a "great man."
"This is a great day and there will be more to come," Chandler told those in attendance. "Thank you for taking the time today to see the Bossier City Council and myself be sworn in."
