Amid soaring tomato prices in India, a family substituted a young girl's measurement in gold, known as Tulabharam, with an equivalent weight of tomatoes at a temple in Gavara Veedhi. The family said they opted to use tomatoes due to their escalating prices, and requested the tomatoes be used in the temple's annadana program.
