Tom Hanks gifts 1950s manual typewriter to East Passyunk repair shop

Tom Hanks gifted Philly Typewriter a 1953 East German Rhienmatall Gs typewriter on Friday. Hanks, a two-time Academy Award-winning actor and avid collector, has about 250 typewriters that he uses almost daily. Guests will be able to view the autographed typewriter at the East Passyunk repair shop and type on it.
