Toddler burned in Oxford day care fire being treated at Shriners
OXFORD - A toddler who suffered second- and third-degree burns in a fire at a day care last week got through a first round of skin grafts Tuesday, with more to be done during the next week or two, according to a woman who organized an online fundraising effort for the 18-month-old-boy.
The toddler remains on a ventilator, said Jennifer Faucher, the organizer.
On Jan. 4, the boy was a client of a home day care at 43 Watch St. when fire broke out in a bedroom, authorities said. He suffered extensive burns.
