“I Saw the Light” isn’t just the title of one of Todd Rundgren’s biggest hits. It’s the perfect catchphrase for a 50-year career built on bold ideas, the latest being an all-virtual “tour” that includes a Dallas show on March 7.
On Feb. 14 the 72-year-old singer, producer and tech pioneer launched the 25-show Clearly Human tour, with each gig “geo-fenced” and tailored to a different city, including images of local landmarks in the stage backdrop. Performing from a private venue in Chicago, Rundgren and his 10-piece band have been mixing hits like “Hello It’s Me” and “Can We Still Be Friends” with songs from 1989′s
