TMR apologises after Bruce Highway delays at Alligator Creek

UPDATE: 5PM: The Transport and Mains Roads Department has apologised after motorists were stuck in lengthy traffic delays at Alligator Creek and Hay Point on Monday.
A TMR spokeswoman confirmed road works had backed up traffic for most of the morning.
"We apologise for traffic delays this morning due to repairs on the Bruce Highway near Alligator Creek," the spokeswoman said.
"Warning signs were in place to advise motorists of changed traffic conditions.
"Work has stopped and will continue as night works next week."
The works will take place between Wentzels Rd and Alligator Creek Bridge from 6pm to 6am, March 15 to March 19.
