Time-honored Memorial Day traditions return to Steamboat Springs

Every year, members of the VFW and American Legion posts in Steamboat Springs place flags on the graves of veterans from Steamboat Springs. Last year's Memorial Day ceremony was limited by COVID-19, but this year, there are plans in the works to bring back many of the Memorial Day traditions. (Photo by John F. Russell)

After being sidelined by COVID-19 last year, Steamboat Springs veterans are hoping to return to their time-honored Memorial Day tradition by hosting a ceremony and recognizing three soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country.
