A low-pressure system is continuing to bring cold and wet weather to much of the country.
Dunedin's hill suburbs have now been included in MetService's forecast for snow Tuesday morning.
Until yesterday, Dunedin was not expected to get snow like the rest of Otago and Southland.
However, meteorologist Ashlee Parkes said the updated forecast now showed snow showers would fall to 300m around Dunedin.
