The Electric City got another reminder on Thursday that Mother Nature really is the boss around these parts.
A surprise thundershower Thursday afternoon quickly escalated into a full-blown cloudburst that flooded several areas and intersections, particularly North of Montana ExpoPark at 3rd Street NW and the Northwest Bypass.
The storm dropped heavy rain and small hail over the area, No official report of how much precipitation fell in the area in the cloudburst, which was fanned by winds in excess of 40 MPH; yet, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service at Great Falls International Airport said their rain gauge barely got a drop.
