Three young children at home where woman's body found

Police are investigating after a woman was found dead with burn injuries this morning in the backyard of a Gold Coast home.
A 35-year-old man, who police think may have been her former partner, was found in a "semiconscious state" two blocks away.
Police were called to a home at Spikes Crt at Arundel for a welfare check about 6.40am after a concerned neighbour called police to report a disturbance.
On arrival, police found the woman's body in the backyard.
The man was suffering from burn marks to his hands and airway, and taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition, where he remains under police guard.
