Three tried to mail drugs to Ulster County Jail, deputies say

KINGSTON, N.Y. — Three people have been arrested in connection with what authorities say was an attempt to send drugs through the mail to the Ulster County Jail.
Diane J. Maiolo, 35, and Gary L. Hoffman, 30, of Kingston, as well as Jessica M. Henry, 36, of Ulster Park, were each arrested on misdemeanor charges of promoting prison contraband and conspiracy following an investigation by the Ulster County Sheriff's Office. Hoffman is an inmate.

According to the Sheriff's Office, on Nov. 4, corrections officials found the painkiller suboxone secreted in mail sent to the jail. 
Maiolo and Henry were released with appearance tickets for Kingston City Court. Hoffman remained in the Ulster County Jail on unrelated charges.
