THREE kitesurfers have been rescued after getting into 'difficulties' in the water.
Wyke Coastguard and Weymouth Lifeboat were called to help a kite surfer after a concerned member of the public contacted them.
When coastguard officers arrived at Ferrybridge, it was reported the kite surfer had made his own way to shore, however, two more kitesurfers needed help.
A spokesman for Wyke Coastguard said: "On arrival at Ferrybridge, the reported casualty had made his own way ashore. However two more kitesurfers were in difficulties. They were recovered from the water by Weymouth Lifeboat and Portland Port's rigid inflatable boat.
"All three were assisted ashore by team members with their equipment, checked over and with no medical assistance required left to return to their vehicles."
