HIV test
THREE in five people missed an opportunity to be tested for HIV last year.
New figures from Public Health England shows that 8,278 people had the chance to be tested for the virus at sexual health clinics in Bolton last year.
Only two fifths of those actually took a test, with just under 5,000 people either declining or not offered a screening.
A new report from the HIV Commission highlights that more than half a million people across England missed out on a test in 2019. It wants everyone who undertakes a blood test in the NHS to be offered HIV screening.
