Three police officers have been placed on administrative leave after firing their weapons at a Jeep that rammed two marked patrol vehicles, according to Guam Police Department spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao.
A man was later arrested in connection with vehicle theft, reckless driving and other charges, and a woman was arrested in connection with vehicle burglary and resisting arrest, Tapao said.
The Jeep had been reported stolen from Tamuning, and at 3:53 a.m. Sunday officers from Central Precinct Command began chasing it. They were joined by officers from the Tumon-Tamuning Precinct Command and the Dededo Precinct Command as the Jeep fled from Maina to Tamuning, then to Harmon, Dededo and Yigo, Tapao said.
