Three Fires Keep Yakima Firefighters Busy
Yakima Firefighters were busy with a house fire reported at about 12:41 a.m. Monday in the 1500 block of Landon Avenue. No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. Investigators say the cause of the fire appears to be and electrical problem. Damage is estimated at $70,000. Fire officials say it was the third residential structure fire in a span of about 36 hours.
On Saturday afternoon Yakima Fire Department Firefighters were called to a home in the 4100 block of Prasch Avenue for a fire at a home. One firefighter responding to the fire had debris in his eye and was treated on scene. There were no other injuries.
