Three Border Crossings to Reopen between Hungary and Serbia
Three border crossings will reopen between Serbia and Hungary on Monday, besides the two operating during the coronavirus pandemic, the head of the Association of Vojvodina Hungarians said.
István Pásztor said on Facebook on Wednesday that the crossings between Bajmok and Bácsalmás, Backi Vinogradi and Ásotthalom, and Dala and Tiszasziget will open besides the already operating Horgos-Röszke and Kelebia-Tompa crossings. If the pandemic continues to subside, the other crossing will soon follow, Pásztor added.
Slovak and Hungarian citizens vaccinated against coronavirus can from Wednesday travel freely between the two countries, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said on Facebook. The decision, he said, was made after intensive talks with Slovak officials, ensuring that “families, friends and communities can get together once again”. featured image illustration via Péter Komka/MTIContinue reading
