Let me preface this by saying I like Ballard, and I believe he’s done a good job so far assembling a team. But I think he got cute tonight; this is a bad pick...especially since he was injured. If he was going to go this direction, he should’ve shored up the offensive line in free agency. Why not trade down? I don’t think a lot of teams were clamoring to draft a guy with a torn Achilles. I’m puzzled as to what the FO is doing; I also don’t think moving Nelson or Smith is a smart option, way too risky imho.
