From the medics fighting for their patients and the pharmacists hand-delivering medicines, to the tech entrepreneurs keeping loved ones in touch and ordinary people making PPE in their homes, so many people have gone above and beyond to help others during the pandemic.
And now, having made their country so proud, many have seen their incredible achievements recognised in the recent New Year’s Honours List. Here are just some of their inspiring stories.
