The Sun’s Jabs Army wins the Editorial Campaign of the Year at Campaign Publishing Awards.
The Campaign Publishing Awards said: “This was a solid social awareness campaign which delivered impact and motivated a call to action when most needed. The judges called it flawless, effective and creative, and admirably cause-driven.”
The Sun’s Jabs Army campaign recruited 50,000 volunteers to help the NHS roll out the most ambitious vaccine programme in British history, partnering with the Royal Voluntary Service, the NHS and the government.
Supported by Britain’s biggest businesses including Greene King, Sky, BT, Bentley and BA, The Sun set out to correct mistruths and encourage the country to get jabbed. The cross-party campaign won backing from the NHS, PM Boris Johnson, Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer, Health Secretary Matt Hancock and the Oxford vaccine team plus a range of stars including Gary Lineker, Jeremy Clarkson, Matt Lucas, Ross Kemp, Prue Leith and Sarah Ferguson.
