Crimes of incest or familial sexual offences have gone up in Avon and Somerset during the coronavirus pandemic - prompting fears some children may have been trapped in lockdown with abusive relatives.
Incest does not just include consensual sex between two siblings - which is both deeply taboo and illegal - it can also involve a child being abused by an older member of their own family.
