South-central Wisconsin’s busiest food pantry hosted a birthday bash to commemorate its time so far working in the community.
The pantry serves more than 1,000 families each week, a need that has only grown during the pandemic.
“What we wanted was the public to purchase tickets and experience a food pantry,” said the pantry’s executive director, Rhonda Adams. “Many people haven’t experienced a food pantry in the past, so now with this event, it’s a chance for them to do so.”
If you couldn’t make it out Saturday, there are several others ways you can support The River Food Pantry. Food drives are encouraged, which you can do both in-person and virtually at this time. Financial donations are also always welcomed
