ORANGE — The town’s Third Thursday Street Fairs are returning this summer, having been canceled last year due to the raging COVID-19 pandemic.
The monthly events, sponsored by the Orange Merchants Group, were first held three years ago to allow small businesses the opportunity to make themselves more visible and to engage the public about the importance of shopping locally. Each fair consists of vendor booths sent up in a cordoned-off section of the downtown area, from the main-streets intersection to Depot Street. There are also musicians in Memorial Park and the South Main Street parking lot. The fairs last from 5 to 8 p.m. on the third Thursday in June, July and August.
